If you did not blog about coke’s
content strategy I still need that.
I’m keeping track. If you choose
not to do it you lose points. To be
successful in this class you need to
keep on top of tasks. I’m helping
you prepare for the real world in
that way.
For next week: Create an editorial
calendar for your fan media. The
calendar should not be complex
but should have three parts. The
text talks about the process so
read it!
Part 1: Your overall
mission/purpose. No more than a
paragraph. Succinctly state what
you sent in your email to me about
your fan pages’ purpose.
Part 2: Division of labor. Who is
doing what on your team. What
are your roles and responsibilities.
Part 3: The actual calendar. What kind
of posts are you going to share in the
next 6 weeks. List them out. This
shouldn’t be detailed. For examples
and templates refer to the text and
google “content marketing calendar
template example”
There is also a template on the course
guide. Another really bad slide. Again,
do not ever do this.
Clear? Questions? Ask me
questions that can be answered
with a nod or shake of head.
Heads up: Don’t forget you have a
social media press release due week 6.
It was supposed to be week 5 but I
goofed on the syllabus so you have
until week 6. Refer to the course guide
for instructions! This is an individual
project. It should not be more than 2-3
pages. It should take you about 3-5
hours to complete.

1. Blog about this experience and the
role of creativity in social media
content marketing
2. Have one member of the team
email me your editorial calendar
Finally:
1. If you have not sent me your
fan/earned media links and/or
purposes statement email these by
tomorrow.
2. If you have not given me a blog URL
email it by tomorrow.
3. If you have not blogged about coke’s
content strategy do it by tomorrow.

  • 1. Don’t forget: You have a quiz next week on Pulizzi chapters 7-20. You will do your quiz with your team. The quiz is NOT open book. No notes or devices. If you use any of these you get a 0. If you talk with someone outside of your team you get a 0. No second chances next time.
  • 2. I still need fan page urls for several teams. If your pages are not on the course website email them to me ASAP.
  • 3. If you did not send me an email with your content marketing purpose/mission statement please see me ASAP.
  • 4. If you did not blog about coke’s content strategy I still need that. I’m keeping track. If you choose not to do it you lose points. To be successful in this class you need to keep on top of tasks. I’m helping you prepare for the real world in that way.
  • 5. For next week: Create an editorial calendar for your fan media. The calendar should not be complex but should have three parts. The text talks about the process so read it!
  • 6. Part 1: Your overall mission/purpose. No more than a paragraph. Succinctly state what you sent in your email to me about your fan pages’ purpose.
  • 7. Part 2: Division of labor. Who is doing what on your team. What are your roles and responsibilities.
  • 8. Part 3: The actual calendar. What kind of posts are you going to share in the next 6 weeks. List them out. This shouldn’t be detailed. For examples and templates refer to the text and google “content marketing calendar template example” There is also a template on the course guide. Another really bad slide. Again, do not ever do this.
  • 9. Clear? Questions? Ask me questions that can be answered with a nod or shake of head.
  • 10. Heads up: Don’t forget you have a social media press release due week 6. It was supposed to be week 5 but I goofed on the syllabus so you have until week 6. Refer to the course guide for instructions! This is an individual project. It should not be more than 2-3 pages. It should take you about 3-5 hours to complete.
  • 11. For next week: 1. Blog about this experience and the role of creativity in social media content marketing 2. Have one member of the team email me your editorial calendar
  • 12. Finally: 1. If you have not sent me your fan/earned media links and/or purposes statement email these by tomorrow. 2. If you have not given me a blog URL email it by tomorrow. 3. If you have not blogged about coke’s content strategy do it by tomorrow.
