The Jonathan Alder Cross Country team is half way into their team taper and already saw
success from the weekly drop in mileage. The team dropped 25% of their weekly mileage this
past week and are heading into the postseason running only 50% of their usual mileage. The taper
is used to feel fresh come raceday and let your training do the rest. This past Saturday, at the MOAC
Championships, the team witnessed some of its best results of the season in their final year in the
conference.
Right out of the gate in the high school boys race, everybody knew Junior Zach Kreft from
Buckeye Valley would run away with the victory but the 2nd overall finisher was still a question.

called RomeOpen City which was released in 1945. The movie shows a deeply moving portrait of
Rome during the last couple years of the war, with Germany occupying the city and Allied forces
slowly closing in. The filmwas made on whatever film stock Rossellini could gather up in the post
war Italian economy. It was shot in the streets of Rome with a kind of documentary realism that
would show an even greater impact to this story.
Rome Open City for me personally was a very amusing movie to watch because I ve never
watched a foreign movie before and it was something different to see especially back in 1945
when the war was going on. For me it s incredible how this movie did so well during a time of
tragedy and yet movies here not in the US can t even get a decent rating. I did on the other hand
have a bit of a hard time following the movie because the lyrics that were given to the movie in
english weren t that amazing I feel like if I spoke Italian or if it was remastered into a english
film then i d love it even more. The film was divided into two parts. The first half focused on the
daily lives of the resistance fighters living in Rome. Francesco works for a communist
newspaper, he also helps a group of militant anti Nazi fighters, led by his friend Giorgio.

as doing the exact opposite. In telling of the life of one, Rivera in turn reveals the lives of many.
