Literature Review On Gout
LITERATURE REVIEW
The imbalance of trace elements was shown is involved in many disorders, such as Gout. Sixty four
elements were measured in the serum samples of Gout patients with in three regionally and healthy
control group by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP MS). An elemental profile of
Gout notably altered Al, Li, Ti, Se, Fe, Cu, Sr, Ta, Hg, U, Th, and Bi. An independent group of 39 gout
patients and 13 healthy controls was further used to confirm the elemental analysis, yielding a
sensitivity of 1.00 and a specificity of 1.00 for Gout forecast. A good link was also observed between
Li, Zn, and Cu and further two risk aspects, age and serum urate concentration, in Gout patients.
Therefore it was accomplished that gout has a distinctive elemental profile despite of many other
nutritional and environmental factors [1]. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In recent decades, studies have shown that the development of Hyperuriemia and Gout is due to effect
of lead on the tubular urate transport causing diminished urate excretion. In the case of lead
intoxication these effects were mostly linked with renal failure. The clinical features of saturnine gout
were basically same as that of primary gout; though, acute attacks were likely to occur in the knee
more recurrently. The analysis of saturnine Gout was based on the history of exposure to lead, lead
toxicity, high serum lead levels and various other abnormalities. The treatment of Gout consists of
eliminating the further exposure to lead from the patient, to utilize chelating agents for removal of
lead, and management of acute Gouty Arthritis and Hyperuricaemia

The Waiting Room Presents A Safety Net Hospital Essay
The documentary The Waiting Room presents a safety net hospital located in Oakland, California. In
the film, director Peter Nix follows patients, doctors, and staff throughout a typical day. Furthermore,
the film displays how the staff is overworked, causing an impact regarding how the American health
care system is affecting millions of uninsured patients who try to cope with injury and disease. The
film utilizes techniques from the observational mode such as long takes, crisis structure, and
documenting unplanned everyday experiences to convey the cruel realities of Americans seeking hope
and treatment.
The Waiting Room incorporates the observational mode trait of long takes to illustrate the chaos that
occurs in the waiting room and behind the scenes of the hospital. Moreover, the long takes in the film
provide a glimpse of each patients background story and allows people to express their concerns
instead of revealing character individuality, which may help the viewer infer why the health care
system in America is failing. The long takes help decipher, The body language, and eye contact, the
intonation and tone of the voices, the pauses and empty time that gives the encounter the sense of
concrete, lived reality (Nicholas 176), that depicts each patients harsh reality of what it is like living
with no health insurance. For example, there is a scene where a little girl and her mom follow a nurse
into a room, the camera follows them and the viewer can see the

A Person s Environment Is The Same Opportunity At The End...
Every person struggle is different. Some have worked sweat and tears for their achievements while
others have had things just handed to them and do not really know the struggle of hard work. Some
people work as hard as they can and at the end of the day, they still cannot seem to succeed, as they
would like to. They can work hard, live a good legal life, and yet still cannot make ends meet at the
end of the day. The film Trading places, and the Not everybody in America has the same opportunity
to be successful because one person s environment may be much rougher than another person
environment. A person s environment is a key factor in their success. A person born into poverty is
going to have a much harder time to get ahead than a person that is born into a wealthy family or
environment. It is as if they are already in a negative situation before they even have a chance to begin
life. A person born into poverty doesn t have that extra time to do homework at home because they
might have to be home taking care of other siblings while guardians are at work. Sometimes they
might not even be at home babysitting; they might have to get a job themselves because the money
situation is so tight at home. While a person born to a wealthier family has that extra time to study,
that person has the extra time to participate in extracurricular activities that might be a key to success.
They do not have to worry about little things, which allow them to concentrate all of their time,

Race, Urban Poverty, and Public Policy
The problems of race and urban poverty remain pressing challenges which the United States has yet to
address. Changes in the global economy, technology, and race relations during the last 30 years have
necessitated new and innovative analyses and policy responses. A common thread which weaves
throughout many of the studies reviewed here is the dynamics of migration. In When Work
Disappears, immigrants provide comparative data with which to highlight the problems of ghetto
poverty affecting blacks. In No Shame in My Game, Puerto Rican and Dominican immigrants are part
of the changing demographics in Harlem. In Canarsie, the possible migration of blacks into a

educational system would be further buttressed by quality child care provisions which would also
included pre first grade/kindergarten nursery schools modeled after the French école maternelle.
Wilson s other policy recommendations include suburb city economic partnerships, many of which
coincide with Jargowsky s recommendations in Poverty and Place, as well as policies revolving
around the earned income tax credit (EITC) and public jobs of last resort, which are part of policy
recommendations shared by David Ellwood and Herbert Gans (see below).
In No Shame in My Game, anthropologist Katherine Newman attempts to draw greater attention to the
plight of the working poor rather than the jobless poor. She and her research team explore the lives of
Harlem s working poor, primarily focusing on the fast food industry or burger flippers as the subject
for her largely ethnographic study. One of the important insights articulated in her study is the
extended familial structures/networks that rely on wage and welfare income as a means of survival, in
addition to providing resources such as child care: networks she identifies in African American,
Dominican, and Puerto Rican working poor families in Harlem. Thus, welfare reform restructuring
will not only impact those families who rely solely on welfare for survival, but also on those working
poor families

Essay about Dances With Wolves
Dances With Wolves
In his movie Dances With Wolves actor Kevin Costner tries to do away with any preconceived notions
that the viewer might have had about the Native American Indians being a savage and inhuman race.
He does this by first unraveling the mysteriousness of the Indians then he brings the viewer to a point
of connectedness with the Indians and their culture. We then come to a sincere appreciation for them
as human beings and individuals and find ourselves siding with them in matters of allegiance. This
movie accomplishes this goal with several tactics and strategies. As the story unfolds we follow the
life of John Dunbar (Kevin Costner) and take on his emotions and therefore come to the same
realizations that he does. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
We see that they are easily frightened at times like when Kicking Bird runs from the naked John who
is also just as shocked by the Indians presence however does not want his horse, Sisco, to be messed
with. We see through John s eyes how frustrating it is to not be able to communicate with other people
and we understand how much trouble this has probably been for the Indians before. We see them as
being generous people when John is presented with a Buffalo skin from them as well as their kindness
in accepting his gifts. We also see how in John s eyes the Indians are developing personalities of their
own as individuals and not just a group of people.
The second thing that must be done in order for the movie to completely change our opinion of these
savages and bring our allegiances to them instead of the white settlers and army is that we must not
only overcome our fears and prejudices we must also now connect with them in such a way that we
feel bonded by friendship and love. The best way to accomplish this is through a feeling of belonging.
As John becomes more and more involved with the Indians we see more and more of the personalities
of the Indians themselves and we begin to see how human they really are. Now John begins to form
friendships with these Indians and therefore so do we. One example of this is John s friendship with
Kicking Bird. John and

Harm Of Technology
Twenty first century technology has transformed society and the way individuals live. Many people
are so concerned with their lives on the web that they fail to see that it is another way to be used as a
control over people. The internet is being used as a way to separate and regulate what people can or
cannot see. In Fences of Enclosure, Windows of Possibility Naomi Klein, explains how there are
fences around public resources, and turning them into privatization. Making it hard for low income
families to afford them. In Democracy in Cyberspace: What Technology Can and Cannot Do for Us

Government officials are interested in making a large profit, placing fences around resources. For
instance, the government changing up the policy for money There is a real if invisible fence that goes
up around clean water in Soweto when prices skyrocket owing to privatization, and residents are
forced to turn to contaminated sources. (Klein196) The government officials seem to have lost their
way. The reason for doing politics is to make a change and make the lives of others something great.
Now it is just who can pay out the most money. Turning good and clean public resources into a
business is forcing others into doing some horrendous things. Forcing the people that can barely afford
a decent pair of shoes to pay for something that they have a right to. It is a wonder that people are so
atrocious that they are willing to have other human beings drink water that can cause damage to major
organs. Not only can politicians place borders around natural resources, but they can also place it on
the internet. A Chinese web user isn t sure if what they read is the truth or if it is someone working to

that it pays for each blog entry or message board post promoting the Chinese Communist Party s line

Relationship Between Entrepreneurship And The Economic...
BUSINESS RESEARCH METHODS
Introduction
This research seeks to establish the relationship between entrepreneurship and the economic
development in Saudi Arabia. Entrepreneurship is the process of managing, organizing and developing
a business venture in a competitive environment that is dynamic (Kuratko 2016 pp3). An entrepreneur
is an inventor, leader, innovator, and pioneer and most significantly, a performer. The heart of a
national advantage is often pegged on entrepreneurship. The operation of an enterprise is within the
entrepreneurship ecosystems that include governmental services and programs that support startups
and operational activities. Non governmental organizations (NGOs) are also active in mentoring and
advising entrepreneurs to ensure that their efforts and goals are achievable. Naude (2010, p.108)
articulate that the G20 summit held in 2008 highlighted the importance of entrepreneurship in the
world economic development.
Background and Management Problem Entrepreneurship activities support self employment which in
turn has an effect on the growth of productivity (Audretsch, 2007, p.64). A debate on whether nations
should adopt the self employment policy or strike a balance is always contented. Italy tried the self
employment model, and it proved to be inefficient for the development of the economy (Santarelli and
Vivarelli, 2007, p.460). Entrepreneurship also plays a role in the early development of industries. It
increases productivity through

The Fall of Russia Essay
After the collapse of the Soviet Union there were many different problems facing the new Russian
government. Through the use of reforms many of these issues were cured but not overnight. Boris
Yeltsin and his Prime Minister Yegor Gaidar implemented several policies while the economy was not
moving well. Then Vladimir Putin would carry on reforms while making new ones or changing
existing policies. How would these amendments affect the economy after the collapse of the
Communist regime?
In 1992, Yeltsin launched an economic reform program developed by Acting Prime Minister Yegor
Gaidar. The program also known as shock therapy brought fundamental changes in the economy.
There was little doubt that it was causing economic misery, and ... Show more content on

The temporary truce broke, however, broke down and Yeltsin declared emergency presidential rule;
more than half but less than two thirds the majority needed in the Supreme Soviet voted to impeach
Yeltsin. Yeltsin called together a constitutional convention to write a new constitution. He banned
eight political parties, fired several high ranking government officials who had failed to support him,
and suspended Russia s regional and town councils, many of which had sided with his opponents
(Kort 421). Therefore the Supreme Soviet had refused to support the new constitution, Yeltsin then
issued a decree dissolving both the Supreme Soviet and the Congress of People s Deputies.
Furthermore, neither system wanted to view or listen to Yeltsin and his new constitution. They
gathered in the parliamentary building, voted to dispose of Yeltsin. Then Yeltsin a few weeks later had
the Russian white house blasted with artillery.
Privatization
The government also launched a major program of privatization of state property. By 1994, the
voucher privatization program had completed its first phase, more than 70 percent of industry,
representing the workforce and production, had been privatized, although workers and managers
owned most of these enterprises, many of which have not still been restructured to compete in market
conditions. Under the program, every citizen of Russia would be issued

Ottoman Disadvantages and its Implications on The Siege of...
Under Suleiman the Magnificent the Ottoman Empire was a force to be reckoned with, it ruled the
Middle East and Suleiman was quickly realizing his goal of advancing into Europe. However in 1529
a major military upset in the Austrian city of Vienna would halt the Islamic Ottoman expansion and
save Europe from the possibility of Ottoman control. However this might not had been the case if it
were not for several key disadvantages the Ottoman Empire had against the Viennese. Suleiman the
Magnificent s defeat during the siege of Vienna, 1529, was caused by poor weather conditions, chaos
and disorganization amongst the Ottoman ranks, and a much stronger Viennese defense than was
anticipated.

This divided Hungary into two states, Royal Hungary and Ottoman Hungary, this division lasted until
1700.
In the spring of 1529 Suleiman the Magnificent began to construct his massive army in Ottoman
Bulgaria, his objective is to conquer and secure control over all of Hungary and eliminate the threat
posed by Ferdinand I and the Holy Roman Empire. Estimates of the size of Suleiman s army vary
vastly from around 100,000 men to well over 300,000. The army also consisted of many units of
Sapahi, the elite Ottoman Calvary, and thousands and thousands of Janissaries, an extremely well
trained Ottoman fighting force. With such a vast group moving all at once there were certain inherent
difficulties the Ottomans faced. The biggest of these would be the sheer chaos caused by the
disorganization. Desertion was particularly rampant amongst the Ottoman forces and with the
disorganization it was nearly impossible to properly distribute resources, malnourishment was a big
problem because of the difficulty of acquiring food. This would mark a major disadvantage of the
Ottoman morale; it diminished their will to fight, and thus, their will to win.
Suleiman launched his campaign on May 10th, because this was so late in the year, the weather was
almost immediately a problem. The spring rains associated with that area of Europe caused flooding
and bridge wash outs were very common, this barley allowed to troops to leave

Stanford Experiment On Conformity
The hypothesis is: if the age group is 12th grade, then the conformity will decrease. By testing
whether or not a group of students will give into peer pressure when given the answer, their
conformity will be given. When the experiment is conducted on the seniors, the test subject will not be
pressured into conforming to the rest of the group. The goal of this experiment is to test the ages of
3rd, 7th, and 12th grade and see whether or not will conform to the majority. Hence the name, The
Hipster Experiment. This experiment was interesting because of learning the behaviors of humans in

The Nine Noble Virtues Of Grendel Vs. Beowulf
Working Title Grendel and Beowulf are being compared to the nine noble virtues. The nine noble
virtues explains what a hero should be and what characteristics make them noble. The characteristics
are what you expect from a hero. Courage, Truth, Honor, Fidelity, Discipline, Hospitality, Self
Reliance, and Perseverance are the Nine Noble Virtues. According to the Vikings, these traits are what
make a hero noble. Grendel and Beowulf have some of these virtues. Grendel and Beowulf are similar
in some ways through the virtues. Beowulf portrays the Nine Noble Virtues better than Grendel
because of his Courage, to stand up against Grendel. Truth, he believes what is right is the right thing
to do. Honor, he sticks to the idea that he is good, and that Grendel is and will always be evil. Fidelity,
he will always fight for his kingdom and his friends. Industriousness, he fights hard against Grendel
and works hard to defeat him. Self Reliance, he doesn t rely on weapons or other people to fight
Grendel. And Perseverance, Beowulf defeats Grendel, and never gives up. Grendel only has five of
these nine traits while Beowulf has seven out of the nine. Meaning that Beowulf is nobler than
Grendel. Beowulf and Grendel have some of the nine virtues, but not all. Grendel is less noble than
Beowulf. Beowulf has Courage, Truth, Honor, Fidelity, Self Reliance, and Perseverance. He is
courageous because he is the one to stand up to Grendel and of Now I mean to be a match for Grendel,
settle the outcome in single combat. (Beowulf 425 426). He has truth because he told the truth about
him and Breca swimming in the sea and of Well friend Unferth, you may have had your say about
Breca and me. But it was mostly the beer doing the talking. The truth is this: When the going was

PARENTAL COLLABORATION IN EARLY INTERVENTION AND EARLY CHILDHOOD
SPECIAL EDUCATION
Parents frequently feel extremely defenceless when they start to utilize early interventions and
administrations; now and again solid emotions are near to the surface. Professionals ought to be
mindful of this and appreciate these sentiments. The principal assignment of any parent is to build up
a profoundly adoring, commonly fulfilling, and sustaining association with his or her youngster; the
aggregate child. This is critical for the purpose of both the child and the parent. Being a guardian is
fundamentally about being involved with their child.
The attributes of such a relationship are the parent must have a positive perspective of the child. They
must acknowledge and be fulfilled by, even commend, the youngster for who they are. The paternal
must get delight from the association with the child. The caretaker must feel skilful in the relationship.
Entry into the Early Intervention Program Short of having your child bite the dust, there is nothing
more pulverizing to a parent than to be informed that there is something the matter with your child;
your youngster is not ordinary. Parents contribution is a faith in the estimation of association that is
imparted by administration suppliers and families. The admission methodology is a troublesome time
for families as they are requested that distinguish and location their youngster s deficiencies. A few

Prescription drug abuse among college students have increased over the past few years and is now a
national problem. College students are abusing stimulant prescription pills just to stay awake to study
and they will abuse the prescription pills just to stay awake to socialize with friends. According to the
journal of Human Behavior in the Social Environment, they have come up with a new term called
Generation RX, which is known to the rising group of young adults who are abusing prescription
medication. In 2008 the National Drug Survey on Drug Use and Health had found an increase of
21.1% in the general population in the use of nonmedical prescription between the years of 1992 2003
and 15% of people ages 18 25 reported the use of prescription pills. Research showed that in the past
ten years prescription stimulants has passed the abuse of other drugs on college campuses. The only
drug that research says that prescription pills did not pass for being used more commonly was
marijuana. College students have reported saying that they use prescription stimulants for both
academic and recreational. To be more specific, college students said, Alcohol, marijuana, prescription
barbiturates, and cocaine were used mainly as have fun drugs. While ADHD medication was used for

The legislation covers many different aspects below are just a few.
Employee Holidays
Most employees, whether part time or full time are legally entitled to 5.6 weeks of paid annual leave.
More annual leave may be agreed as part of an employee s contract. A week of leave should allow
workers to be away from work for a week i.e. it should be the same amount of time as the working
week. If a worker does a five day week, he or she is entitled to 28 days leave. If he or she does a three
day week, the entitlement is 16.8 days leave. If a worker s employment ends, he or she has a right to
be paid for the leave time due and not taken. Paid public holidays can be counted as part of the
statutory 5.6 weeks of holiday.
Rest Periods Rest Breaks, Daily rest and Weekly rest
An employee is entitled to an uninterrupted break of 20 minutes when their working time is more than
six hours. It should not be taken either at the start, or at the end, of a working day. An adult worker is
also entitled to one day off a week, this can be averaged over 2 weeks.
Working Hours
Employees cannot be forced to work more than a 48 hour week averaged out normally over a 17 week
period. There are some jobs were this rule does not apply and there are also jobs were these rules are
an absolute must. Employees can choose to opt out of this rule unless they are one of the listed
professions that

The Year For Medical Innovation
Introduction [1.0] The year 2016 is the year for medical innovation. It s when we push out cures for
diseases previously incurable, continue the fight with superbugs, and attempt to preserve public health
by means of vaccines and public sanitation. Whether it be an innovation that humans consume
directly, such as a medical drug, or a background implementation, such as public sanitation in public
spaces. The ultimate goal is to preserve the homo sapien species, and its health.
A new problem has arisen as the population grows, ironically, there has been a shortage in human
organs for those in need. This can be due to multiple reasons, including less people dying in a region
(to provide functional parts) and a healthier general population. ... Show more content on

The ambitious plan is to use printers to print out organs and eventually perform a transplant to replace
the patient s nonfunctional one, with a lab printed functional organ.
The Printing In order to understand 3D printing, you need to understand how generic multi
dimensional printing works. 3D Printing uses computer aided printing technology to deposit layers of
the material in specific location to form a three dimensional object. Traditional three dimensional
printing is expensive, but scientists plan on using inkjet based printers in bioprinting. These printers
are able to deposit tiny ink drops onto a surface upon demand using thermal inkjet technology. A small
air bubble is heated until it collapses, and the force from the collapse serves as a pulse that forces tiny
droplets of ink out of the nozzle. This allows for more precise printing. The temperatures during the
printing process can reach as high as 300 C, but the entire process is so instantaneous, that it only lasts
for a couple of microseconds. With this technology, living cells can be printed at the same time that
nutrients, drugs, and other important chemicals, as well as protective gels. [2.0] The actual process of
how printing works lies in three important factors, the printer, the ink, and the product. [2.1/2.1.1]

as Aaliyah for this year s Halloween. She always finds how to stand out from the crowd, no matter if it

year she was masked as Jasmine, a fictional Disney princess, but this time, she decided to pay homage
to the eternal R B icon, Aaliyah. She chose one of the most popular looks of the singer, which is from

The Conflict of Gene Patents
Patents are licenses granted by the government that give permission to an inventor the right to rent,
hire, or sell his invention. In the science community gene patents have created conflict between those
who believe that patents have helped science and those who believe it is actually hindering science
advances. Genes are important because they are the heredity of a living organism and it is given from
a parent to their offspring. Scientist study genes to find cures for the many diseases found in the
world. Unfortunately gene patents focus on the commercial side, therefore I believe gene patents
should be banned. In this essay, I will outline arguments for and against gene patents. There have been
many cases that have raised the public s awareness over gene patents. It was recently brought to
attention again in the case of Association for
Molecular Pathology v. Myriad Genetics (2013), when the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that companies
cannot patent naturally occurring forms of DNA; they can only patent artificial produced DNA.
Naturally occurring genes are genes found on living organisms while artificial genes are products of
genetic material that occur when a gene has been isolated and they cannot be found in an organism.
There are many commercial uses of gene sequences for example in agriculture a particular product
such as rice contains genes once scientist isolates and clones them, he can find uses for those genes,
such as being able immune to particular

The Geography Of Chicken Soup
The focus of this assignment is on the geography of chicken soup. For purposes of this particular
assignment, the claimed country of origin in Cuba. The reason the term claimed is used is due to the
fact that this particular dish may be believed to have originated in many other countries as well. As
such, the recipe, and more specifically the ingredients used, will most likely differ based upon the
country and region that it is originated from. With regard to the Cuban version of chicken soup, the
same is comprised of thirteen (13) ingredients, to wit: olive (oil); onion (red and green); cilantro;
cumin (ground); wheat (flour); chicken (stock and thigh); cassava; calabash; potato (red); plantain;
lemon (juice); salt; and, pepper. Notwithstanding the fact that these ingredients are customarily used to
make the Cuban version of chicken soup, these same ingredients were not all domesticated in the
region that Cuba is located in. For example, Cuba is located in the Caribbean region. Out of the
thirteen (13) ingredients mentioned, only one ingredient is native to said region calabash.
Furthermore, as the case with other Caribbean countries, calabash is said to be native and common in
the wild in Cuba, Puerto Rico, [and] the Dominican Republic.... (Morton, 1987, p. 334 335). As such,
statistically, only 7.7% of the total ingredients used in this recipe of chicken soup is native to the
country of origin (i.e. Cuba). Further, 23.1% of the total ingredients was

indentured servants suffered through constructing the agriculture in Virginia. Like the Africans, many
of the white indentured servants arrived involuntarily; carrying similar fears of violence and hostility
along with aspirations of freedom. Through the unfortunate circumstances of their arrival under false
pretenses; both races were sometimes forced to wear iron collars around their necks, often beaten and
even tortured for taking a rest and always required to have passes whenever they left their plantations.

Essay on T.S. Eliot s The Waste Land
T.S. Eliot s The Waste Land Both the hysteric and the mystic transgress the linear syntax and logic
governing the established symbolic order. Helen Bennett It is perhaps part of the unique genius of T.S.
Eliot s The Waste Land that both critics and lay readers have repeatedly felt forced to look outside the
published text of the poem for clues as to its meaning. The text s fragmented, seemingly violated body
seems to exhibit wounds through which its significance has slipped, creating a difficulty caused by the
author s having left out something which the reader is used to finding; so that the reader, bewildered,
gropes about for what is absent...a kind of meaning which is not there, and is not meant to be there ...

Asked to describe what sort of life might spring up out of the stony rubbish (20) of the poem s sterile
landscape by an interlocutor who seems by the force of the allusion to Ezekiel to be a representative of
some sort of transcendent reality, there seems to be no way for the poet to answer. The speaker
continues in almost accusatory tone: You cannot say, or guess, for you know only/ A heap of broken
images (21 22), and it is in this line that Eliot questions the potential for meaning inherent in language.
The self is unable to explicate the nature of this life for his only language is a mere heap a disordered
pile of broken images . Here Eliot describes language as representation, and in this mode it is doubly
useless; first, because it is broken , fragmented and divorced from the very realities it was intended to
describe, and second, because it consists of mere images representations of things and not the things
themselves. One might argue that language, though only a heap of broken images, does achieve a
certain reflexivity here, for in that disordered pile of reflections lies a landscape where the sun beats,/
And the dead tree gives no shelter, the cricket no relief (22 23). But the space that language presents
here is a sterile, dead one, without evidence of the growth of either root or branch. Absent too are the
Starnbergersee, the shower of rain (9), and the verdant Hofgarten which

Julia Harris And Artur Samarin In The Great High School...
Everyone does crazy things. Sometimes, people cannot control themselves from acting out or doing
things that could harm others. Julia Snyde, the unsub from Gentlemen and Players by Joanne Harris
and Artur Samarin from The Great High School Impostor by Daniel Riley are portrayed as evil people
because they both make selfish decisions that hurt others around them to fulfil their motives of
extracting revenge on St Oswald s and having a comfortable life in the US respectively. But that is just
one side of the story. They have had very difficult upbringings and have never felt loved. Julia Snyde
and Artur Samarin are both portrayed as selfish and vicious by their actions. But, their actions are a
result of PTSD caused by spending their childhood ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
But, this does not work in either case as the relationships formed are emotionally damaging and even
illegal in the case of Artur. While pretending to be a boy to attend St Oswald s, Julia Snyde meets
Leon and immediately falls in love with him. But, Leon does not feel the same way. In fact, even
when he knows that Julia is in love with him, he continues to play with her emotions and makes her
spend time around him when he is with Francesa, his new girlfriend. Leon is a vain, self centred
teenager who enjoys tormenting Julia. Leon knows that Julia does not enjoy being around Francesa.
But, he forces her to. Snyde said that she had a shack... it was there that we went, I keeping watch,
smoking and trying not to listen to the sounds that came from the little shack behind me (Harris 213).
Leon makes Julia Snyde keep watch while he was sexual intercourse with Francesa just a few feet
away. Only a sick, mentally unstable human would do such things. He subjects both Julia and
Francesa to a feeling of him wanting the other and mentally torments Julia as she has to watch the love
of her life, be with another girl and she can t do anything about it. This affects Julia so heavily that she
is never able to have a good relationship with anyone in her life without feeling insecure about herself.
In fact, she harms or pushes people away before that can do the same to her. She

Analysis Of Howard Zinn s Indians History Of The Us...
History 2112
Critical Analysis Paper #1
Dr. Pitts
James Hamby
Monday Wednesday 8:30pm
Patriot s vs. People s Howard Zinn s, Peoples History of the US and Larry Schweikart s, Patriots
History of the US are two analytical views on history that most people would consider politically
conflicting. Zinn s Marxist book was widely praised by liberal activist and Schweikart s book is
greatly publicized by conservatives like Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck. These two widely known
historians turned their focus on writing two historical pieces that would fill in the historical holes that
weren t being taught in the educational systems. It created a type of diverse learning that made for a
great argument while still allowing the readers to understand all sides of the topics at hand. Zinn really
dismissed the common white mans history and focused his approach on a multiple minority
perspective. Schweikart s book is very different in the sense he takes aim at Zinn as he targets words
like great discovery and war on terror which Zinn only used as scare quotes. Schweikart s book really
reads like old history textbooks from the moral principals of the American founders that built this
nation to the ideological view of American prosperity. No matter who shares the views of the political
perspectives or condemns them because of its bias stances both historians felt responsible in writing
the history of the United States.
Zinn did not believe in an unbiased approach to history

In recent decades, studies have shown that the development of Hyperuriemia and Gout is due to effect of lead on the tubular urate transport causing diminished urate excretion. In the case of lead intoxication these effects were mostly linked with renal failure. The clinical features of saturnine gout were basically same as that of primary gout; though, acute attacks were likely to occur in the knee more recurrently. The analysis of saturnine Gout was based on the history of exposure to lead, lead toxicity, high serum lead levels and various other abnormalities. The treatment of Gout consists of eliminating the further exposure to lead from the patient, to utilize chelating agents for removal of lead, and management of acute Gouty Arthritis and Hyperuricaemia ... • 5. The Waiting Room Presents A Safety Net Hospital Essay The documentary The Waiting Room presents a safety net hospital located in Oakland, California. In the film, director Peter Nix follows patients, doctors, and staff throughout a typical day. Furthermore, the film displays how the staff is overworked, causing an impact regarding how the American health care system is affecting millions of uninsured patients who try to cope with injury and disease. The film utilizes techniques from the observational mode such as long takes, crisis structure, and documenting unplanned everyday experiences to convey the cruel realities of Americans seeking hope and treatment. The Waiting Room incorporates the observational mode trait of long takes to illustrate the chaos that occurs in the waiting room and behind the scenes of the hospital. Moreover, the long takes in the film provide a glimpse of each patients background story and allows people to express their concerns instead of revealing character individuality, which may help the viewer infer why the health care system in America is failing. The long takes help decipher, The body language, and eye contact, the intonation and tone of the voices, the pauses and empty time that gives the encounter the sense of concrete, lived reality (Nicholas 176), that depicts each patients harsh reality of what it is like living with no health insurance. • 6. A Person s Environment Is The Same Opportunity At The End... Every person struggle is different. Some have worked sweat and tears for their achievements while others have had things just handed to them and do not really know the struggle of hard work. Some people work as hard as they can and at the end of the day, they still cannot seem to succeed, as they would like to. They can work hard, live a good legal life, and yet still cannot make ends meet at the end of the day. The film Trading places, and the Not everybody in America has the same opportunity to be successful because one person s environment may be much rougher than another person environment. A person s environment is a key factor in their success. A person born into poverty is going to have a much harder time to get ahead than a person that is born into a wealthy family or environment. It is as if they are already in a negative situation before they even have a chance to begin life. A person born into poverty doesn t have that extra time to do homework at home because they might have to be home taking care of other siblings while guardians are at work. Sometimes they might not even be at home babysitting; they might have to get a job themselves because the money situation is so tight at home. While a person born to a wealthier family has that extra time to study, that person has the extra time to participate in extracurricular activities that might be a key to success. They do not have to worry about little things, which allow them to concentrate all of their time, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. Race, Urban Poverty, and Public Policy The problems of race and urban poverty remain pressing challenges which the United States has yet to address. Changes in the global economy, technology, and race relations during the last 30 years have necessitated new and innovative analyses and policy responses. A common thread which weaves throughout many of the studies reviewed here is the dynamics of migration. In When Work Disappears, immigrants provide comparative data with which to highlight the problems of ghetto poverty affecting blacks. In No Shame in My Game, Puerto Rican and Dominican immigrants are part of the changing demographics in Harlem. In Canarsie, the possible migration of blacks into a working/middle class neighborhood prompts conservative backlash from a ... Wilson s other policy recommendations include suburb city economic partnerships, many of which coincide with Jargowsky s recommendations in Poverty and Place, as well as policies revolving around the earned income tax credit (EITC) and public jobs of last resort, which are part of policy recommendations shared by David Ellwood and Herbert Gans (see below). In No Shame in My Game, anthropologist Katherine Newman attempts to draw greater attention to the plight of the working poor rather than the jobless poor. She and her research team explore the lives of Harlem s working poor, primarily focusing on the fast food industry or burger flippers as the subject for her largely ethnographic study. One of the important insights articulated in her study is the extended familial structures/networks that rely on wage and welfare income as a means of survival, in addition to providing resources such as child care: networks she identifies in African American, Dominican, and Puerto Rican working poor families in Harlem. Thus, welfare reform restructuring will not only impact those families who rely solely on welfare for survival, but also on those working poor families ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 8. Essay about Dances With Wolves Dances With Wolves In his movie Dances With Wolves actor Kevin Costner tries to do away with any preconceived notions that the viewer might have had about the Native American Indians being a savage and inhuman race. He does this by first unraveling the mysteriousness of the Indians then he brings the viewer to a point of connectedness with the Indians and their culture. We then come to a sincere appreciation for them as human beings and individuals and find ourselves siding with them in matters of allegiance. This movie accomplishes this goal with several tactics and strategies. As the story unfolds we follow the life of John Dunbar (Kevin Costner) and take on his emotions and therefore come to the same realizations that he does. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... We see that they are easily frightened at times like when Kicking Bird runs from the naked John who is also just as shocked by the Indians presence however does not want his horse, Sisco, to be messed with. We see through John s eyes how frustrating it is to not be able to communicate with other people and we understand how much trouble this has probably been for the Indians before. We see them as being generous people when John is presented with a Buffalo skin from them as well as their kindness in accepting his gifts. We also see how in John s eyes the Indians are developing personalities of their own as individuals and not just a group of people. The second thing that must be done in order for the movie to completely change our opinion of these savages and bring our allegiances to them instead of the white settlers and army is that we must not only overcome our fears and prejudices we must also now connect with them in such a way that we feel bonded by friendship and love. The best way to accomplish this is through a feeling of belonging. As John becomes more and more involved with the Indians we see more and more of the personalities of the Indians themselves and we begin to see how human they really are. Now John begins to form friendships with these Indians and therefore so do we. One example of this is John s friendship with Kicking Bird. John and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Many people are so concerned with their lives on the web that they fail to see that it is another way to be used as a control over people. The internet is being used as a way to separate and regulate what people can or cannot see. In Fences of Enclosure, Windows of Possibility Naomi Klein, explains how there are fences around public resources, and turning them into privatization. • 10. Relationship Between Entrepreneurship And The Economic... BUSINESS RESEARCH METHODS Introduction This research seeks to establish the relationship between entrepreneurship and the economic development in Saudi Arabia. Entrepreneurship is the process of managing, organizing and developing a business venture in a competitive environment that is dynamic (Kuratko 2016 pp3). An entrepreneur is an inventor, leader, innovator, and pioneer and most significantly, a performer. The heart of a national advantage is often pegged on entrepreneurship. The operation of an enterprise is within the entrepreneurship ecosystems that include governmental services and programs that support startups and operational activities. Non governmental organizations (NGOs) are also active in mentoring and advising entrepreneurs to ensure that their efforts and goals are achievable. Naude (2010, p.108) articulate that the G20 summit held in 2008 highlighted the importance of entrepreneurship in the world economic development. Background and Management Problem Entrepreneurship activities support self employment which in turn has an effect on the growth of productivity (Audretsch, 2007, p.64). A debate on whether nations should adopt the self employment policy or strike a balance is always contented. Italy tried the self employment model, and it proved to be inefficient for the development of the economy (Santarelli and Vivarelli, 2007, p.460). • 11. The Fall of Russia Essay After the collapse of the Soviet Union there were many different problems facing the new Russian government. Through the use of reforms many of these issues were cured but not overnight. Boris Yeltsin and his Prime Minister Yegor Gaidar implemented several policies while the economy was not moving well. Then Vladimir Putin would carry on reforms while making new ones or changing existing policies. How would these amendments affect the economy after the collapse of the Communist regime? In 1992, Yeltsin launched an economic reform program developed by Acting Prime Minister Yegor Gaidar. The program also known as shock therapy brought fundamental changes in the economy. The temporary truce broke, however, broke down and Yeltsin declared emergency presidential rule; more than half but less than two thirds the majority needed in the Supreme Soviet voted to impeach Yeltsin. Yeltsin called together a constitutional convention to write a new constitution. He banned eight political parties, fired several high ranking government officials who had failed to support him, and suspended Russia s regional and town councils, many of which had sided with his opponents (Kort 421). Therefore the Supreme Soviet had refused to support the new constitution, Yeltsin then issued a decree dissolving both the Supreme Soviet and the Congress of People s Deputies. Furthermore, neither system wanted to view or listen to Yeltsin and his new constitution. They gathered in the parliamentary building, voted to dispose of Yeltsin. Then Yeltsin a few weeks later had the Russian white house blasted with artillery. Privatization The government also launched a major program of privatization of state property. By 1994, the voucher privatization program had completed its first phase, more than 70 percent of industry, representing the workforce and production, had been privatized, although workers and managers owned most of these enterprises, many of which have not still been restructured to compete in market conditions. • 12. Ottoman Disadvantages and its Implications on The Siege of... Under Suleiman the Magnificent the Ottoman Empire was a force to be reckoned with, it ruled the Middle East and Suleiman was quickly realizing his goal of advancing into Europe. However in 1529 a major military upset in the Austrian city of Vienna would halt the Islamic Ottoman expansion and save Europe from the possibility of Ottoman control. However this might not had been the case if it were not for several key disadvantages the Ottoman Empire had against the Viennese. Suleiman the Magnificent s defeat during the siege of Vienna, 1529, was caused by poor weather conditions, chaos and disorganization amongst the Ottoman ranks, and a much stronger Viennese defense than was anticipated. In the spring of 1529 Suleiman the Magnificent began to construct his massive army in Ottoman Bulgaria, his objective is to conquer and secure control over all of Hungary and eliminate the threat posed by Ferdinand I and the Holy Roman Empire. Estimates of the size of Suleiman s army vary vastly from around 100,000 men to well over 300,000. The army also consisted of many units of Sapahi, the elite Ottoman Calvary, and thousands and thousands of Janissaries, an extremely well trained Ottoman fighting force. With such a vast group moving all at once there were certain inherent difficulties the Ottomans faced. The biggest of these would be the sheer chaos caused by the disorganization. Desertion was particularly rampant amongst the Ottoman forces and with the disorganization it was nearly impossible to properly distribute resources, malnourishment was a big problem because of the difficulty of acquiring food. This would mark a major disadvantage of the Ottoman morale; it diminished their will to fight, and thus, their will to win. Suleiman launched his campaign on May 10th, because this was so late in the year, the weather was almost immediately a problem. The goal of this experiment is to test the ages of 3rd, 7th, and 12th grade and see whether or not will conform to the majority. Hence the name, The Hipster Experiment. • 15. The Nine Noble Virtues Of Grendel Vs. Beowulf Working Title Grendel and Beowulf are being compared to the nine noble virtues. The nine noble virtues explains what a hero should be and what characteristics make them noble. The characteristics are what you expect from a hero. Courage, Truth, Honor, Fidelity, Discipline, Hospitality, Self Reliance, and Perseverance are the Nine Noble Virtues. According to the Vikings, these traits are what make a hero noble. Grendel and Beowulf have some of these virtues. Grendel and Beowulf are similar in some ways through the virtues. Beowulf portrays the Nine Noble Virtues better than Grendel because of his Courage, to stand up against Grendel. Truth, he believes what is right is the right thing to do. Honor, he sticks to the idea that he is good, and that Grendel is and will always be evil. Fidelity, he will always fight for his kingdom and his friends. Industriousness, he fights hard against Grendel and works hard to defeat him. Self Reliance, he doesn t rely on weapons or other people to fight Grendel. And Perseverance, Beowulf defeats Grendel, and never gives up. Grendel only has five of these nine traits while Beowulf has seven out of the nine. Meaning that Beowulf is nobler than Grendel. Beowulf and Grendel have some of the nine virtues, but not all. Grendel is less noble than Beowulf. Beowulf has Courage, Truth, Honor, Fidelity, Self Reliance, and Perseverance. He is courageous because he is the one to stand up to Grendel and of Now I mean to be a match for Grendel, settle the outcome in single combat. (Beowulf 425 426). He has truth because he told the truth about him and Breca swimming in the sea and of Well friend Unferth, you may have had your say about Breca and me. But it was mostly the beer doing the talking. It s when we push out cures for diseases previously incurable, continue the fight with superbugs, and attempt to preserve public health by means of vaccines and public sanitation. Whether it be an innovation that humans consume directly, such as a medical drug, or a background implementation, such as public sanitation in public spaces. The ultimate goal is to preserve the homo sapien species, and its health. A new problem has arisen as the population grows, ironically, there has been a shortage in human organs for those in need. The ambitious plan is to use printers to print out organs and eventually perform a transplant to replace the patient s nonfunctional one, with a lab printed functional organ. The Printing In order to understand 3D printing, you need to understand how generic multi dimensional printing works. 3D Printing uses computer aided printing technology to deposit layers of the material in specific location to form a three dimensional object. Traditional three dimensional printing is expensive, but scientists plan on using inkjet based printers in bioprinting. These printers are able to deposit tiny ink drops onto a surface upon demand using thermal inkjet technology. A small air bubble is heated until it collapses, and the force from the collapse serves as a pulse that forces tiny droplets of ink out of the nozzle. This allows for more precise printing. The temperatures during the printing process can reach as high as 300 C, but the entire process is so instantaneous, that it only lasts for a couple of microseconds. With this technology, living cells can be printed at the same time that nutrients, drugs, and other important chemicals, as well as protective gels. [2.0] The actual process of how printing works lies in three important factors, the printer, the ink, and the product. [2.1/2.1.1] ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In the science community gene patents have created conflict between those who believe that patents have helped science and those who believe it is actually hindering science advances. Genes are important because they are the heredity of a living organism and it is given from a parent to their offspring. Scientist study genes to find cures for the many diseases found in the world. Unfortunately gene patents focus on the commercial side, therefore I believe gene patents should be banned. In this essay, I will outline arguments for and against gene patents. There have been many cases that have raised the public s awareness over gene patents. It was recently brought to attention again in the case of Association for Molecular Pathology v. Myriad Genetics (2013), when the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that companies cannot patent naturally occurring forms of DNA; they can only patent artificial produced DNA. Naturally occurring genes are genes found on living organisms while artificial genes are products of genetic material that occur when a gene has been isolated and they cannot be found in an organism. There are many commercial uses of gene sequences for example in agriculture a particular product such as rice contains genes once scientist isolates and clones them, he can find uses for those genes, such as being able immune to particular ... As such, the recipe, and more specifically the ingredients used, will most likely differ based upon the country and region that it is originated from. With regard to the Cuban version of chicken soup, the same is comprised of thirteen (13) ingredients, to wit: olive (oil); onion (red and green); cilantro; cumin (ground); wheat (flour); chicken (stock and thigh); cassava; calabash; potato (red); plantain; lemon (juice); salt; and, pepper. Helen Bennett It is perhaps part of the unique genius of T.S. Eliot s The Waste Land that both critics and lay readers have repeatedly felt forced to look outside the published text of the poem for clues as to its meaning. The text s fragmented, seemingly violated body seems to exhibit wounds through which its significance has slipped, creating a difficulty caused by the author s having left out something which the reader is used to finding; so that the reader, bewildered, gropes about for what is absent...a kind of meaning which is not there, and is not meant to be there ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Asked to describe what sort of life might spring up out of the stony rubbish (20) of the poem s sterile landscape by an interlocutor who seems by the force of the allusion to Ezekiel to be a representative of some sort of transcendent reality, there seems to be no way for the poet to answer. The speaker continues in almost accusatory tone: You cannot say, or guess, for you know only/ A heap of broken images (21 22), and it is in this line that Eliot questions the potential for meaning inherent in language. The self is unable to explicate the nature of this life for his only language is a mere heap a disordered pile of broken images . Here Eliot describes language as representation, and in this mode it is doubly useless; first, because it is broken , fragmented and divorced from the very realities it was intended to describe, and second, because it consists of mere images representations of things and not the things themselves. One might argue that language, though only a heap of broken images, does achieve a certain reflexivity here, for in that disordered pile of reflections lies a landscape where the sun beats,/ And the dead tree gives no shelter, the cricket no relief (22 23). But the space that language presents here is a sterile, dead one, without evidence of the growth of either root or branch. History 2112 Critical Analysis Paper #1 Dr. Pitts James Hamby Monday Wednesday 8:30pm Patriot s vs. People s Howard Zinn s, Peoples History of the US and Larry Schweikart s, Patriots History of the US are two analytical views on history that most people would consider politically conflicting. Zinn s Marxist book was widely praised by liberal activist and Schweikart s book is greatly publicized by conservatives like Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck. These two widely known historians turned their focus on writing two historical pieces that would fill in the historical holes that weren t being taught in the educational systems. It created a type of diverse learning that made for a great argument while still allowing the readers to understand all sides of the topics at hand. Zinn really dismissed the common white mans history and focused his approach on a multiple minority perspective. Schweikart s book is very different in the sense he takes aim at Zinn as he targets words like great discovery and war on terror which Zinn only used as scare quotes. Schweikart s book really reads like old history textbooks from the moral principals of the American founders that built this nation to the ideological view of American prosperity.
