Vehicular Ad hoc Network (VANET) is one of the emerging research areas in the mobile computing field which is considered as future technology and promising topic in computer science and computer networks. Which provides road safety, updated traffic information, and infotainment. VANET consists of a large number of vehicles moving in high speeds while broadcasting important information like safety and control information which must be sent with high priority. Crowded networks like VANET having many vehicles competing to reserve the channel to send critical information which may lead to high collision scenarios, and therefore, there must be a protocol to send this kind of information with high reliability, low data loss and with no collision. In this research a collision-free protocol will be proposed to manage the channel access among competing vehicles to eliminate the collisions which occur rapidly in VANET especially in dense situations, the proposed protocol hereinafter will be called (I-MAC) protocol expected to enhance the channel performance, achieve load balancing, fairness, and decrease message loss and enhance reliability, The evaluation criteria will examine the channel throughput, message delay, and message loss; the results show that the overall channel performance with regard to collision and packet loss ratio is improved.

ERTMS Fact Sheet 15 - International freight corridors equipped with ERTMSUNIFE2012
Still today, the co-existence of more than twenty signalling systems in Europe is a major obstacle to railways’ competitiveness. Trains need to be equipped with several on-board systems to cross borders; drivers need to be trained to use these systems; sometimes trains have even to be changed at the border. The emergence of ERTMS as a unique European signalling standard therefore offers the potential to considerably increase railways competitiveness along international freight Corridors. However, the business case brought by ERTMS will greatly depend on the speed of its deployment on the trackside, and on the will of the EU Member States to make the necessary investments as soon as possible.

ERTMS Fact Sheet 18 - ERTMS deployment in SwedenUNIFE2012
The adoption of ERTMS marks a significant technology shift for Swedish railwayoperators. It means that Sweden is now well positioned to gain from increased competitiveness and is taking a major step towards improved cross-border operations and interoperability, reduced journey times, as well as cutting Sweden’s carbon footprint. Sweden also constitutes a key section of Corridor B. This section of line is expected to be appropriately fitted before 2020.

Dedicated roads for autonomous vehicles Jeffrey Funk
These slides use concepts from my (Jeff Funk) course entitled analyzing hi-tech opportunities to analyze how autonomous vehicles are becoming economic feasible. They are becoming economically feasible because the cost of lasers, ICs, MEMS, and other electronic components are falling at 25 to 40% per year. If the cost of autonomous vehicles fall 25% a year, the cost of the electronics associated with autonomous vehicles will fall 90% in 10 years. Dedicating roads to autonomous vehicles is necessary to achieve the most benefits from autonomous vehicles. While using autonomous vehicles in combination with conventional vehicles can free drivers for other activities, dedicating roads to autonomous vehicles can dramatically reduce congestion, increase speeds, and thus increase the number of cars per area of the road. They can also reduce accidents, insurance, and the number of traffic police. These slide discuss a number of technologies that can be used for the dedicated roads including wireless communication, magnetic stripes and RFIDs that together can coordinate vehicles on roads. The slides end by summarizing efforts in Singapore.

Lately, the concept of VANETs (Vehicular Ad hoc Networks) has gotten a huge attention as
more wireless communication technologies becoming available. Such networkis expected to be
one of the most valuable technology for improving efficiency and safety of the future
transportation. Vehicular networks are characterized by high mobility nodes which pose many
communication challenging problems. In vehicular networks, routing Collision Avoidance
Messages (CAMs) among vehicles is a key communication problem.Failure in routing CAMs to
their intended destination within the time constraint can render these messages useless. Many
routing protocols have been adapted for VANETs, such as DSDV (Destination Sequenced
Distance Vector), AODV (Ad-hoc On demand Distance Vector), and DSR (Dynamic Source Routing). This work compares the performance of those routing protocols at different driving environments and scenarios created by using the mobility generator (VanetMobiSim) and
network simulator(NS2). The obtained results at different vehicular densities, speeds, road
obstacles, lanes, traffic lights, and transmission ranges showed that on average AODV protocol outperforms DSR and DSDV protocols in packet delivery ratio and end-toend delay. However, at certain circumstances (e.g., at shorter transmission ranges) DSR tends to have better performance than AODV and DSDV protocols.

A disciplined workforce operates with clarity, focus, and a shared understanding of expectations, ultimately driving better results, optimising productivity, and facilitating seamless collaboration.
Although discipline is not a one-size-fits-all approach, it can help create a work environment that encourages personal growth and accountability rather than solely relying on punitive measures.
In this deck, you will learn the significance of workplace discipline for organisational success. You’ll also learn
• Four (4) workplace discipline methods you should consider
• The best and most practical approach to implementing workplace discipline.
• Three (3) key tips to maintain a disciplined workplace.

Enterprise Excellence is Inclusive Excellence.pdfKaiNexus
Enterprise excellence and inclusive excellence are closely linked, and real-world challenges have shown that both are essential to the success of any organization. To achieve enterprise excellence, organizations must focus on improving their operations and processes while creating an inclusive environment that engages everyone. In this interactive session, the facilitator will highlight commonly established business practices and how they limit our ability to engage everyone every day. More importantly, though, participants will likely gain increased awareness of what we can do differently to maximize enterprise excellence through deliberate inclusion.
What is Enterprise Excellence?
Enterprise Excellence is a holistic approach that's aimed at achieving world-class performance across all aspects of the organization.
What might I learn?
A way to engage all in creating Inclusive Excellence. Lessons from the US military and their parallels to the story of Harry Potter. How belt systems and CI teams can destroy inclusive practices. How leadership language invites people to the party. There are three things leaders can do to engage everyone every day: maximizing psychological safety to create environments where folks learn, contribute, and challenge the status quo.
Who might benefit? Anyone and everyone leading folks from the shop floor to top floor.
