The Three Ethnic Cultures Of The Malaysian Culture In...
There are three main ethnic groups in Malaysia: the Malays, Chinese, and Indians. To understand
Malaysian culture, we must first understand that individuals from a multicultural society exist
within many cultural contexts simultaneously, each context influencing these individuals to some
degree (Bonn Tam, 2016). Although most of the Chinese or Indian Malaysians are multiple
generations away from their Chinese or Indian ancestors, the traditions, cultural norms, religious
beliefs and linguistic identification of their heritage are maintained. While the majority of
individuals from their respective ethnic group speak their mother tongue, they are able to speak
Malay as a second language. The constitution states that a Malay is someone who practices
Malay customs, speaks the language of Malay, and practices the religion of Islam (Bonn Tam;
Mansor, 2000). The Malay social code discourages communication that is too direct or
forthcoming, especially when providing criticism or negative feedback, as this may come across
as rude (Mansor, 2000). This can be said the same for the Malaysian Chinese, as it is important to
preserve face (jaga maruah in Malay, mian zi in Mandarin). The Malaysian Chinese primarily
practice Buddhism, Taoism, or Christianity, and speak different dialects of Mandarin. Their
heritage can be traced back to the regions of Guangdong and Fujian in China (Gabriel, 2014). The
Malaysian Indians primarily practice Hinduism or Christianity, and speak Tamil.

What Affects The Rate Of Respiration In Yeast
Background research
All living organisms need to respire in order to stay alive. The process of respiration converts
oxygen and glucose into energy that is required to carry out the cellular biochemical reaction
required to sustain life.
Respiration: 6O2 + C6H12O6 в†’ energy + 6CO2 + 6H2O
Oxygen is one of the reactants necessary for respiration therefore it is essential for all living
organisms. Oxygen is produced through the process of photosynthesis where energy from the sun is
converted into chemical energy in the form of glucose.
Photosynthesis: 6CO2 + 6H2O + sunlight в†’ C6H12O6 + 6O2
All plants photosynthesize to produce glucose, which is stored chemical energy as the plants food
can be converted into energy through respiration for life processes. The rate of photosynthesis has
three main limiting factors carbon dioxide concentration, light intensity ... Show more content on

One example is aquatic life. Animals use up dissolved oxygen to carry out respiration for
cellular processes and bacteria use up oxygen to decompose and break down organic wastes
removing oxygen from the water to breathe. Therefore dissolved oxygen levels are lower when a
body of water contains a lot of decomposing material. Plants also affect dissolved oxygen content
as they release oxygen as a bi product of photosynthesis.
Temperature also affects oxygen content. Warmer water contains less dissolved oxygen than colder
water and therefore oxygen concentration will change throughout the year as the weather and
temperature changes. Another factor affecting oxygen concentration in the turbulence or
movement of a body of water. In a fast moving body of water where the water is constantly
moving, bubbles aerate the water and the dissolved oxygen content is often higher than a still body
of water. Dissolved oxygen concentration is also affected by altitude. At higher altitudes oxygen is
not dissolved as easily due to the higher

The Depquisition Of Berendsen
1 Major way in which a company can grow.
The two major ways in which a company can grow are the organic growth or the inorganic growth.
Inorganic growth is a system of expanding the company by means of joining together with other
companies to form what one may call a conglomerate. Inorganic growth involves mergers and take
overs. A merger occurs when two firms come together or join together in order to share resources of
the two organisations. A merger helps enhance the two organisations which have joined to share
resources and management skills for the benefit of both organisations which now work under one
management structure. On the other hand take overs include acquisitions of a firm by another. In
this case the one company that has ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Essay about Examination of Jesus Death
Examination of Jesus Death
INTRODUCTION
I am going to write a detailed account that examines and investigates the trials of Jesus; I will be
examining the events that took place between the time Jesus was arrested up till he was crucified.
I will also be looking at the roles of certain people and how their actions influenced and affected the
Course of Jesus life?
THE ROLE OF JUDAS ISCARIOT
On the night Jesus was to be arrested he went to a place called the garden of Gethsemane where
he was only accompanied by peter and the two sons of Zebedee (John and James). Both Matthew
and Mark s gospel mention this but Luke s gospel gives a vague account saying ... and the disciples
went ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There is another reason Jesus has gone to Gethsemane in the middle of the night to pray with
only a few disciples because Jesus already realises that he has to die and if the temple guards
tried to arrest him in broad daylight then they wouldn t be taken to very kindly by Jesus
supporters and they would protest and wouldn t allow this to happen. So both Jesus and he s
enemies realise this, that is why his enemies are not forcing the situation and biding their time but
as Jesus has to carry out God s will he decides to give them the opportunity so he may be seized and
arrested successfully.
A while later Judas who used to be a disciple of Jesus but betrayed him for thirty silver pieces
came to the garden with a large crowd of men who were armed with clubs and swords. The place
was dark so Judas had to identify Jesus by kissing him; this was so that Jesus didn t get away and
so that they arrested the right man. Judas went straight to Judas and said peace be with you teacher
and kissed him. Jesus answered be quick about it, friend!
When the people tried to arrest Jesus one of the disciples cut off the high priests slave ear, Jesus
admonished him for that, both Mark and Matthew are in agreement over this but Luke s gospel
goes on to say that Jesus said enough of this and healed the

Liberal And Conservative Beliefs
After taking the self evaluation survey from StudentNewsDaily.com on liberal and conservative
beliefs, I appear to be moderate. I evaluated myself on 21 different topics under the political
spotlight and ranked myself on a scale one through ten, one being extremely liberal, and ten being
extremely conservative. My score fell in the range being neutral between both viewpoints. On some
topics I am extremely liberal, and on others I am extremely conservative.
To start are the positions I ranked myself strongly liberal on. One topic I am extremely liberal in
beliefs on is abortion. I strongly believe a women should have the right to do what they want
medically with their body. One reason I believe this is because women are often targeted for rape....

Finally, I believe that same sex marriage is the union of people who love each other according to
the liberal position. The conservative position gives power to the state government to decide
whether to allow or ban same sex marriage. I believe that if two people love each other,
regardless their race, religion, or gender, they should be able to decide for themselves if they
want to get married. The government has no right to infringe on people s rights to freedom and
the pursuit of happiness. If marriage makes a couple happy, they should have the right to get
married. The conservative position on this topic uses the argument that it goes against moral and
religious beliefs. In a society that is constantly changing its views on the ideal american family,
more and more people are becoming accepting of same sex marriage. Although traditionally, same
sex marriage was extremely frowned upon, we are a nation of progress, and should change our
opinions and develop into a nation of acceptance and new morals. Bringing religion into
government as the chief argument for a topic does not strengthen it because everyone has

Reactive Supervisors Essay
An entire industry, multiple government organizations and billions of dollars spent to govern,
monitor, and enforce safety. With all this oversight, why does safety fail? Anyone who deals with
safety on a day to day basis would love to have this question answered. Many people have lost hair,
sleep, patience, and time pondering, how did this happen? Most times through the course of
research and investigations, the answer is; safetyfails when people routinely deviate from standard
without repercussion, supervision is inadequate, or when people begin to rush. Latent failure is the
term used to identify an error in the safety system that lays dormant for a period. Latent failures by
themselves seldom cause an accidentbut rather... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
By not investing the possibilities that they may face nonstandard events in the future, they set
themselves and those in their charge up for issues. Supervisors who are able to look ahead at
impending issues will be able to react quicker and have better results. Even worse is the
tendency for reactive supervisors to become over reactive supervisors. Over reaction may come
in many forms but all will share one common trend, they will be detrimental to those they affect.
Close minded supervisors and those that blindly enforce the standard are similar in nature but
differ in reason and drive. Close mindedness is a product of refusing to see another s point of view
where as someone blindly enforcing standards may be doing so with all the best intentions but may
not be aware of the benefits of pushing for a change to the standard. Of all the supervisors for a
safety system, the most burdening is one that only identifies issues and shortcomings but never
presents a solution. The impact this style of supervision has on those under it cannot be understated
it is morally exhausting. Workers who constantly have to wade through issue after issue with an
apparent abandonment from the supervisors that never produce a solution will begin to get sloppy,
apathetic, and rush just to be done with

Imperialism In The White Man s Burden By Rudyard Ripling
In the poem The White Man s Burden by Rudyard Kipling, Americans are asked to join other
imperialists, Europeans, in civilizing the rest of the world. The poet urges Americans to send in
their best bred sons to go into other countries to serve their captives. This rallying call comes out
when Kipling says, Send forth the best ye breed , Go bind your sons to exile , To serve your
captives need , which is a call for America s soldiers to go to war overseas. The poet argues that
the war will bring peace, and eradicate hunger and disease in the countries that the sons of
Americans will go to fight. Kipling brings out these benefits in the lines: The savage wars of peace
, Fill full the mouth of Famine and And bid the sickness cease; The United Statesimperialism can be
argued to have started in the 1890s, especially with the Philippine American war of 1898 to early
1900s. Most historians argue that this approach was a necessary evil... Show more content on

This argument is brought out when he says, Take up the White Man s burden, And reap his old
reward: It has to be noted here that European nations were hurriedly lining up to expand their
territories for more resources following the overstretching of the same at home. They, therefore,
planned to conquer new territories, especially in Africa, as well as Asia and the Caribbean
(Lancaster City School District, n.d). In the poem, Kipling urges America to join the bandwagon.
In the lines; Take up the White Man s burden , No tawdry rule of kings, Kipling suggests that the
white man s culture is superior to that of the weaker nations, a reason why the imperialist should
conquer and civilize the nations. The hate of those ye guard , The cry of hosts ye humour , (Ah,
slowly!) toward the light: , Why brought he us from bondage, and Our loved Egyptian night? are
the lines that tell of military competition in the

Multiple Chemical Sensitivity
Leading theories suggest a possible role for a hypersensitive central nervous system, immune
dysfunction and impaired detoxification by liver enzymes. However some medical professionals,
and even organizations, continue to insist that the syndrome is psychological in origin, even in the
face of a growing amount of evidence from studies that show clear abnormalities in people with
MCS on exposure to normally safe levels of chemicals. The expression multiple chemical sensitivity
has been used to describe individuals with numerous troubling sensitivities that are attributed to
environmental factors. Wikipedia defines this phenomenon as Multiple chemical sensitivity (MCS)

phenomenon whilst others are awaiting further conclusive evidence. The prevailing scientific
viewpoint is that although some people are sensitive to small amounts of one or a few specific

psychiatrists and occupational health clinicians suspect that the majority of MCS (Multiple

Amy Harris presented specific background information on Dawson s life prior to her suicide as she
was not well known in Adelaide, and the highs and lows segment was also informative, providing
succinct details on her life experiences.
The Advertiser and the Otago Times Daily are written within somewhat different contexts. With
celebrity culture having a large importance within our society, knowing that Dawson was only
known in some world regions, Amy Harris assumed the target audience to be uneducated of
Dawson s life experiences. In The Advertiser life experiences were presented sporadically
throughout describing her battling depression , living a life full of contradictions and becoming
an anti bullying advocate . In comparison, the Otago Daily Times gave little to no background
knowledge to readers as she was brought up in New Zealand and her story is already in context.
Also in recent years, celebrity suicide has not been uncommon. According to the website NWO
Insider , the celebrities, Lee Thomson Young (September 2013), Corey Monteith (July 2013),
Mindy McCready (February 2013), Mark Balelo (February 2013) and Gia Allemand (August
2013) all committed suicide in the last year highlighting the prevalence of suicide and how
common it is in current society and therefore it is not unusual for this to occur. Mental health is
also described within context in both articles. The Advertiser comments on Dawson being in a very
bad shape emotionally as

Inaccuracies In Saving Private Ryan
Saving Private Ryan is considered one of the most historically accurate war movies ever
produced. However, no movie could correctly duplicate the struggle that was faced and the fear
that was shared among all of the soldiers. The movie is mostly centered around Private Ryan, a
soldier during World War II, whose three brothers have died in combat. Not wanting his mother to
lose her last son, eight men are given the mission of finding Ryan so he may be sent back home.
The movie shows the difficulties that these eight men face while searching and still trying to win
the war. Surprisingly, Saving Private Ryanis loosely based on a true story. Like Ryan in the movie,
three of the four Niland brothers were reported dead and the last one was sent home so the
family would not lose all of their children. They later discovered that one of the other brothers
was alive after he escaped from a Japanese prison camp. Unlike in the movie, there was no team
assembled to go after the surviving son. One of the biggest things that the movie got wrong was
that they were not going to risk the lives of many to save one. In the movie, the sacrifice was
justified by saying that the mother did not need to go through losing another son, but it was stated
by one of the eight that they all had mothers who should not have to go through that either. Hey,
Wade, I got a... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

were not going to be fired upon during fighting, they were not allowed to carry any form of a
weapon. Despite doing this in the beginning, later in the movie the medic is not given a gun and
is still fired upon and soon dies of a bullet wound. Lastly, the Battle of Ramelle that occurs at the
end of the movie was fiction. I am sure that at some point during the war a battle similar to that was
fought but even the town itself was

Ukuthwala Custom
Benign accommodation? Ukuthwala, forced marriage and the South African Children s Act
Lea Mwambene and Julia Sloth Nielsen(
Abstract
In this article, we evaluate the implications of the Children s Act 38 of 2005 for ukuthwala.
Ukuthwala is a practice whereby, preliminary to a customary marriage, a young man, by force, takes
a girl to his home. Questions arise relating to the impact of constitutional principles upon customary
law and practice. It is suggested that instead of a prohibitionist stance towards customs that seem to
violate human rights norms, a benign accommodation of aspects that promote the positive aspects
of culture be adopted. This approach leads to a conclusion that South African law should recognise

The main aim of ukuthwala is to force the girl s family to enter into negotiations for the conclusion
of a customary marriage.[18] (Underlining supplied).
The procedure for ukuthwala is as follows: The intending bridegroom, with the help of the one or
two friends, will waylay the intended bride in the neighbourhood of her own home, quite often
late in the day.[19] They will then forcibly take her to the young man s home. Sometimes the girl
is caught unawares, but in many instances she is caught according to prior plan and agreement. In
either case, the girl will put up a show of resistance to suggest to onlookers that it is against her
will, when in fact, it is seldom so. As Bekker

gun and over ten countries use it for their military use. Both are used today in war both have
many similarities and differences. One has popularity and one has performance because of their
history they have. Both guns brings pros and cons to the table they are great guns because of the
pros they have. Both are used in war and for everyday people. The AK 47 and the M4 are both used

The AK 47 more in detail has a, metallic curved detachable box magazine which held 30 round

which combined with the wooden furniture and curved magazine, (Since 1949). If you want a
bigger bang for your buck the AK is the gun for you but if you want precision marksmanship
shots the M4 is a better choice. The M4 has more performance specs than the AK which makes it
precise but the AK has a bigger bang for the people for wanting more action in their gun. Both
guns are known in the U.S by basically everyone with knowledge of guns. The M4 is only
known in the U.S and were the U.S army uses it but the AK is known worldwide because of its
major history it has. With the M4 its only a standard issue gun for some U.S military branches
and only in the U.S but with the AK it s a standard issue gun for more than ten countries military
branches. Being a standard issue gun in more countries it would make any gun more known in
the world. If you take a M4 to the middle of Africa or to India they wouldn t know what gun it is,
in other hands if you take an AK to any place in the world they would know what it is right of the
bat. The U.S. Army has over 500,000 M4s in its arsenal, (Kaplan) that s not a lot to be known

Gender, Social, And Social Sciences And Humanities
gender role is a theoretical construct in the social sciences and humanities that refers to a set of
social and behavioral norms that, within a specific culture, are widely considered to be socially
appropriate for individuals of a specific sex. Socially accepted gender roles differ widely between
different cultures.
Sex is what we are categorized based on our reproductive organs; female or male. Sex is pretty so
concrete, for the most part, unless you are born with some rare genetic sex chromosomal disorder.
Gender, it, well can be harder to determine. Gender is merely the state of being male or female.
Like with the states of water, the state of being male or female, can be manipulated or changed.
With each gender comes certain gender roles. These roles are to help accentuate one s sex to
society. Gender roles have been around for centuries. The greatest thing we notice, when it comes to
gender roles, is how much they vary from culture to culture.
Since marriage constitutes slavery for women, it is clear that the women s movement must
concentrate on attacking this institution. Freedom for women cannot be won without the abolition
of marriage. Sheila Cronin

Gay Marriage Research Paper
In today s society, there are many stereotypical people that are against gay or lesbian marriage.
Everyone should have the right to decide on who they would like to marry. Gay marriage should
be legal and a non punishable offense because it can prevent teenage suicides, more children will
be adopted, and people will not feel like second class citizens.
If humanity were to accept gay marriage, it would lower and prevent some teen suicides. Most
teens are deciding and revealing what path they are going to take in middle and high school. The
number of suicide attempts among high school students decreased in states where same sex marriage
was legal. The findings covered thirty two states that legalized same sex marriage from 1999 to
2015 (Willingham). All kids have a difficult time coming out to the world, and it causes them not
to feel heard or accepted. When states make it legal more people that do not support it change their
views when they see it is not different from a ordinary couple.
Many teens also feel less accepted by the world when it comes to other kids in their school. Students
that do not support others orientation creates a discomforting environment. Unsafe school
environments prevent LGBT students from reaching their full academic potential (Slater). The
children have to feel heard or they will fall into a depression and will shut out everyone that cares

Important Factors To Build A Monument Analysis
How can one consider size, materials, and location of equal importance in the creation of
monument, when the location determines how many people will view the monument and whether
the monument is respectful to the event or person it represents? Although it is important to
consider the materials and size when a monumentwill be created to memorialize a person or event,
the most important factor to be considered in the creation of a memorialis the location because in
order for a monument to be seen, it must be placed in an adequate location.
The most important factor in the creation of a monument is the location. The location is essential in
the creation of a monument because only monuments placed in well known places will be seen. For

In order to build a monument, materials are needed and the size needs to be determined to figure
out the amount of materials needed. Source G claims that materials are an important factor to
consider in the creation of a monument. Maya Lin, the designer of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial
in Washington, D.C put an emphasis on materials in the creation of the monument. Lin used black
granite to make the monument reflective and peaceful. The mirrored effect made the park look
doubled in size, which made it appear as though there were two worlds to resemble the unity
between the nation s past and present. The use of carefully chosen materials and the illusion of size
made the Vietnam Veterans Memorial convey an important message. Although I grant that
materials and size are important factors to be considered in the creation of a monument, I still
maintain that location is the most important factor to be considered in the creation of a monument.
The Vietnam Veterans Memorial was placed in a well known beautiful park surrounded by trees,
which is why many people were able to view and admire the monument. The location of the
monument set its shape. The Lincoln Memorial and Washington Memorial were already at that
location, which were both important aspects of the Vietnam Veterans Monument. Two walls of the
Vietnam Veterans Memorial were placed so one pointed at the Lincoln Memorial and the other was
pointed at the Washington Memorial. The link between these two strong symbols conveyed the
message of unity between the nation s past and present. The careful considerations about the
monuments location allowed the monument to convey an important message that is viewed and
admired by many. If the monument was placed in an obscure non picturesque location, no one

My Life In America As An Undocumented Immigrants Summary
Outlaw: My Life In America As An Undocumented Immigrant by Jose Antonio Vargas from the
New York Times, is a narrative essay that focuses on telling a story of past events. Vargas
proposes that since he grew up in America that this is considered his home. Vargas believed he
would be granted citizenship if he worked harder and achieved more. His motivation of sharing
his childhood journey would be the relief of him coming forward about his legal status to those
who were not aware and to those who he truly cares about but could not risk sharing his story
with. Vargas tone and stance attracts people who are or have already been through the same path
and for those that come to America to live the American Dream like Vargas intended to. Vargas
concludes he is trapped in duplicity and being dishonest about his legal status is destroying his
character. Even though, Vargas convinces me about his difficult journey as an undocumented
immigrant, his belief that coming forward with the truth of his legal status will allow him to
regain his values or the trust of those who he has already lied to is unconvincing because after all
those years it has become a part of his selfhood.
Throughout the essay, Vargas references the inner struggle that he had to face day in and day out.
The fear of being uncover, the stress behind who can be trusted and what he was able to do.
Vargas worked towards gaining a career hoping it would have a positive influence in his
legalization status. It means

What Are The Similarities Between Scientology And...
Religious intolerance and Scientology
The world can be a dangerous place. It can be even more dangerous if someone proves to be
different, or seen as unusual in any way. Scientology may be arguably one of the strangest
religions in the world. Because of this, Scientology has experienced intolerance since it was first
founded in 1954. Religious intolerance is a social issue, and affects every level of the religious
community, from the followers to the conductors of Scientology. Widespread intolerance has
always been a problem for Scientology for many reasons. Religious intolerance has always re an
extremely serious issue which faces all religions of the world. However, the practice became

For example, The Emmy award winning show Leah Remini: Scientology and the aftermath
(Nelson) has prompted serious hatred towards Scientology, and is a huge reason why
Scientology is receiving so much hateful mail and threats. Dubbed as a docuseries, the show is
a series of stories, interviews, and insights as told by Leah Remini, as well as many other current
and former scientologists. However, there is a catch! Every single one of these alleged victims
of the religion have all been kicked out of Scientology, in a sense. Can someone really be a
reliable source for such information with that kind of bias? It doesn t make any difference at
this point. Many Americans have heard her claims, as well as the other guests on her show s
claims, and have taken them as complete fact, simply because they have a history with
Scientology at all. The guests have made many terrible and overall baseless claims against
Scientology. Just because someone has a history, doesn t automatically mean it is a good one.
Scientology has tried as hard as possible to bring this to light. The community started by writing
letters to the channel the show airs on, A E. Scientology named every lie she told, as well as the
history the people she had on her show truly had with Scientology (Jensen). To find these letters and

Essay Comparing Dostoevsky s Crime And Punishment
People often judge others based on physical appearances, such as what they wear or their
hairstyle. The style and condition of a person s home and room can also reveal their character, as
homes are the place where they spend most of their time. In Fyodor Dostoevsky s novel titled
Crime and Punishment, the author includes descriptions of rooms to influence the reader s
interpretation of the characters. Specifically, by describing the furnishing and size of the rooms of
Rodion Romanovich Raskolnikov, the protagonist, Sonya Marmeladov, the prostitute, Alyona
Ivanovna, the pawnbroker, and Porfiry Petrovitch, the police inspector, Dostoevsky reveals the
wealth, social status, and personality of each of the characters. In Crime and Punishment by
Fyodor Dostoevsky, the novelist uses symbols, connotations, and metaphor to describe the rooms
associated with characters to reveal the wealth, social status, and personalities of the characters.

William Goldman s The Princess Bride
In the story The Princess Bride we read of action and adventure, and if you have watched the
movie you have a very romantic view of the tale. Before I read the book that was my view, which
after reading the book, I found to be incomplete. Fortunately, I have read the book and my view of
this adventure has changed from a less romantic one to a more realist thought. I believe that what
William Goldmanwas trying to tell us, in his book version of the story, is that life is made up of
reality, sprinkled with what I would call romanticism of the realist. What I mean by this is that
even realists must have a desire to believe in Twoo wuv. In the end what we find is that even

baseball, and wishing that his teacher was actually his mother. So wrapped up in this he even
fantasizes that one day his father would come clean and declare his teacher as being his real
mother. His young character self was not involved in much and his teacher described him as being
a late bloomer even though he had no idea what that meant. We see in this part of the book that his
life was full of dreams, things he hoped for and wished for.
Shortly after this we find him with pneumonia, unable to go to school and confined to his bed.
One day he is surprised to see his dad come into his room with a book and without announcing
what he is doing, begins by reading the title of the first chapter The Bride. This is the point in his
life where everything changed for him. His future career as a writer is credited in this simple
act of his father reading the story to him. He went from only caring about sports and games to
not being able to get enough from books. This particular book he describes as the single best
thing that happened to me (sorry about that, Helen; Helen is my wife, the hot shot child

Southwest Airlines Hub Capacity And Congestion Management

Southwest Airlines Hub Capacity and Congestion Management
ASCI602 The Air Transportation System
06 June 2015
Abstract
Southwest Airlines shot out of the gates, much to the chagrin of their competitors as a short haul,
low fare, and high frequency carrier. As SWA expanded and deregulation occurred, they had to
decide what kind of airline they wanted to be and how they would adapt to the changing
environment. The FAA reports that passenger numbers are expected to reach a billion passengers
in 2023 (FAA, 2011). Most Airlines are responding to the increased demand by centralizing and
consolidating their assets. This in turn creates a situation where capacity is maximized in some
airports and congestion increases causing significant delay. Demand will continue to rise over the
next few decades and these airlines must rely on regulators and policy makers to upgrade the very
necessary infrastructure and technology. Southwest s strategy is to remain a point to point carrier
instead of the traditional hub and spoke carrier, satisfying their customer demand with lower
congestion at underutilized airports with more flights. However Southwest continues to remain
flexible looking forward as it adopts hub and spoke techniques, coordinates with the FAA and
governing bodies, and invests heavily in its most important airports to stay ahead of the pack.
In the early seventies, SWA was begun by a couple of innovators in Teas, Rollin King and

The United States should switch to a universal health care system to make health care more
accessible to its citizens, improve health conditions, and make it so that medicine and treatment is
more affordable for everyone regardless of their social status. Universal health coverage ensures
that all people use the health services they need, of adequate quality to be effective, while also
ensuring that the services provided are affordable ( What is Universal Coverage? 2015). France,
Germany, Italy, The United Kingdom, Japan, Canada and Russia all have universal health care.
This means that the United States is the only industrialized nation that does not provide all its
citizens with health care. With universal health care, countries provide their inhabitants with basic
healthcare services as long as they are citizens. No one can be denied healthcare in these countries
regardless of their social status ( Universal Health Care Coverage Definition | Investopedia 2011). In
the United States, the healthcare system is much different. Facilities are mainly owned and
operated by the private business sector which causes the price of treatment and medical visits to be

Essay On The Colosseum
History:
The colosseum was built in 72 C.E. The massive stadium was commissioned by the emperor
Vespasian as a gift for the people. The emperor Nero had built a huge lake all for himself. When
Nero committed suicide and Vespasian became emperor, he drained the lake and and started
building the colosseum over it. This was built over something that was made for one selfish person
and built something for the people to share. It took 8 years to build. Sadly Vespasiandied before he
could see the grand opening of the colosseum leaving it to his son Titus to finish his work.
Amphitheater means double theater.
Architecture:
The colosseum was huge as it could comfortably seat 70,000 people. It covers about 6 acres of
land and is 620 feet long, 512 feet wide, and 158 feet tall. It was the tallest and largest building of
its time. It was built from limestone, concrete and volcanic stone. The colosseum has many
arches on the outside and every arch has a statue under it. The statues were of gods and heroes,
all made of bronze. Above all the arches were shields, which were also made of bronze. On top
of the roof platform hundreds of sailors would control a huge awning which protected the
spectators from rain and created shade on hot days. The awning was retractable and masts
extended from supports built into the Colosseum s top. Seating in the Coliseum was determined by
group. The best seats were reserved for the emperor as it had the best view. Behind that was the
seating for high

William Shakespeare s Macbeth Essay

Macbeth Research Paper When studying literature or reading a play, our attention is drawn to the
protagonist or antagonist. Shakespeare directs our attention onto heroism, which can be seen across
all of his plays like Macbeth or Julius Caesar. The protagonists Macbeth and Banquo conquer the
evils that face them throughout the plot. However, the nature of violence that takes place
throughout Shakespeare s plays is in relation to the source of the killing of the soul (Macbeth and
the Nature of Evil). In Macbeth, Macbeth is known as a superhuman warrior, the characteristics of
being brave and having ambition. The main reason evil stirs up violence can be seen as examples
in Macbeth and Julius Caesar, which is caused by evil being incompatible with humanity
(Shakespeare s Play Themes). The murders in Macbeth and Julius Caesar are both examples of
the rotation of the natural order. The killing of King Duncan in Macbeth is a prime example
how evil and violence is shown into a comparison into Julius Caesar. Shakespeare uses a
common theme in all plays that all relates back to reality (The Killing of King Duncan).
Shakespeare also uses the literary device of repetition to create a theme (The Killing of King
Duncan). In Macbeth the word blood is repeated due to creating the theme and the word blood
allows the readers to remember that evil is a result to violence and anger. Blood is also

Pets In Human Life Essay
Pets, these animals that share their lives with us do much more than one normally thinks of.
They wait for us watching in the window, give one licks of joy, and give us unconditional love
are some of the common joys of having a family pet. In a short time they become member of the
family. These are many reasons one loves to share their space with a creator not of the same
species as humans. However, there are some other added benefits to having these members of the
family. Sharing one s life with pets help us to maintain a healthier physical, mental, and emotional
aspect in life.
The first added benefit of having pet as part of the family is that pets help us to live and maintain a
healthy life style. One knows that these companions need exercise to stay in good health and since
they can t walk themselves, they motivate their human companions to take them for a walk. This
is one of the obvious ways that pets help one to live healthier lives. However, there are many
other ways that pets improves one s life. In research posted on the Jamanetwork.com it states that,
Exposure to 2 or more dogs or cats in the first year of life may reduce subsequent risk of allergic
sensitization to multiple allergens during childhood. By being exposed to these family pets at an

Fall By Sanry Wadsworth Longfellow Poem
Blessed warmth begins to fade, the insidious chill of winter begins to stretch its ever present
fingers. People begin rejoicing, filling the air with the abomination that is pumpkin spice. The
trees lose their shades of green, fading to warmer hues nature s pitiful attempt to compensate for
the heat of day failing. These same leaves litter the ground, filling the air with a rank of decay and
deterioration; men and women are forced to collect and dispose of the leaves. Children glumly file
back into school, preparing themselves for the next eight months of incarceration. Halloween
decorations begin appearing on people s houses, lining streets with cartoon pumpkins and skeletons.
In John Keats poetry, as well as in Samuel Brydges and Henry Wadsworth Longfellow s poetry, fall
is portrayed in a favorable light, idolizing the chill and change wrought by autumns arrival. All
three poets use bright and vivid imagery to convey the wonder in Keats and Brydges poems, while
Longfellow imbues his poem with a sense of majesty.
Keats, forever the romantic, uses a hopeful cant and a vivid lexicon to create a hopeful image of
the fall season. Keats tosses around the reminder of the bountiful harvest in the first stanza, talking
about the apples, gourds, and nuts; he says that they swell and grow plentiful, to the point that he
says the trees bend with apples. (Keats, 5) Keats also says that fall winds sweep across the land,

Fraud In Forgery
This essay will investigate the serious problem of forgery and a way of how this problem can be
controlled.
Counterfeit or forged money is an imitation of real money, which is produced without the legal
permission of the government or state. To use or produce counterfeit money is a form of fraud
and therefore highly punished. Forgery has been an issue for a very long time, as it is a problem,
which is nearly as old as money itself. Counterfeiting has a large impact on the economy and
society, as it is reducing the value of real money, increasing the prices due to the fact that more
money is circulating in the economy, and there s also a decrease in the acceptability of paper
money. (3)
Forgery is a serious and widely spread problem, as alone in the UK (2009) there were 566,000
counterfeit notes revealed. 95% of these were 20 pound notes. The most common fraud is of one
pound coins, which there were in 2009 30 40 million in circulation of. That would be
approximately 2.8% of the total one pound coins. (6) Some fraudsters, like for example McAnea,

So the ethics of the fraudsters may not have changed, as those people continue to counterfeit

and small are real, allows the cashiers to intercept counterfeits and keep them out of the till and out
of the their change. (16) This shows that people have not only become aware of this serious

One of his biggest mistake he made was his attempt to do court packing where he can add more
Supreme Court justices when a justice reaches a certain age but refuses to retire. That is due to
the frustration that he encounters with the old, conservative supreme court and he believes that
such actions from the court have the intent on slowing down the progress of the New Deal.
(Court Packing) It was very unexpected and the courts eventually take action to prevent the
legislation from being more influential to the public. His executive action sending Japanese
citizens in the US to internment camps was a controversial measure to make after the attacks on
Pearl Harbor. It was deemed unfair to move Japanese Americans to relocation even though they

Jews in Europe, which causes the Holocaust to remain in place till the end of World War 2. He is
criticized for not doing enough to save the Jews from extermination and it was a mistake that
should be recognized due to the significance of all that. Breaking the no 3rd term tradition is also

The designer starts making a rough model by using simple things like clay and ping pong balls.
Keeping the materials and design simple and flexible allows the designer to easily experiment with
and change the prototype. A prototype is the first working draft of a piece of equipment. Once the
designer is satisfied with the shape, they make a drawing of the controller on a computer. Using the
computer allows the team to change the components shape and move the knobs and switches
around easily. Once they have an initial
concept drawn up for the controller, they can print a three dimensional copy of the controller
using a special device called a stereolithography printer. This lets them handle the controller and
check out the feel and position of the buttons, knobs and trackball. If they want to change their
position it is still easy to do at this phase. If this all goes well, they are ready for testing. Kirschen
helps with the projects by providing hardware and software, which simulate an aircraft flight deck.
This mockup allows designers to test out new designs. Here designers can evaluate their projects
in a dynamic flight simulation and make sure they work correctly and are easy for the pilots to use.

vascular disease. In patients with sarcoidosis, mosaic attenuation most often results from small
airways involvement by granulomas or fibrosis, which may lead to obstruction .In pulmonary
sarcoidosis, nodular thickening along of the airway (or bronchovascular bundle) from the lobar to
subsegmental level is a common finding due to non caseating granulomas in bronchial mucosa.
[21]To verify that the CT finding is caused by air trapping, a finding of mosaic attenuation on
inspiratory images must be compared with the parenchymal appearance on expiratory images.[18]

Mobile Computing Is And Ever Developing Way Of Life
Mobile computing is and ever developing way of life. It has given the business professional the
capability to take the office on the road. Now people do not need a computer at home to be
online. You can have the same capability with a tablet or smart phone. Data plans for mobile
devices also allow more people access to the internet. Not all devices will run programs like a
computer, but not every person needs access to programs such as Microsoft Word or Excel. The
typical user just wants to check Facebook, maybe look at the local weather forecast or find a
restaurant to eat at. In this day and age it is ever easier to keep up with life s momentum with
mobile computing. Life in general has become more frantic and fast paced over the last... Show

The word computer was first recorded as being used in 1613 and was originally was used to
describe a human who performed calculations or computations (Computer Hope). The first
mechanical computer was invented back in the early 1800 s by Charles Babbage (Computer
Hope). The Difference Engine, considered to be the first automatic computing engine that was
capable of computing several sets of numbers and making hard copies of the results (Computer
Hope). In modern terms it was nothing more than a calculator with a paper roll.
With this concept it still took over a century for what would be the start of the modern computer to
come around. The Z1, originally created by Germany s Konrad Zuse in his parents living room in
1936 to 1938 and is considered to be the first electro mechanical binary programmable (modern)
computer and really the first functional computer (Computer Hope).
Today s mobile computing consists of an ever growing number of devices and it seems like a
new type of device comes out every few years or so. One of the great advantages mobile
computing has been able to enjoy is playing off the existing technologies. Without advancement in
computer field the mobile world would not exist like it dose.
Mobile computers can usefully be divided into a number of categories. Firstly, many mobile
computers are laptops or basically portable versions of desktop PCs, and usually based around the

Walt Disney Creating A Sense Of Nostalgia Essay
Creating a Sense of Nostalgia
Walt Disney s remarkable legacy that he s left behind includes all of his creations through the 20th
century. His cartoon films and theme parks have targeted a young audience and most of us can
recall watching Disney movies at a young age according to Barrier, Practically everyone knows
Disney the corporation, the movies, the theme parks... or going to Disneyland or Walt Disney
World for the first time when we were little (Barrier 152). Sometimes we get caught up in a
hectic life and we lose sight of our own happiness. Revisiting these old times such as watching a
Disney movie that you used to at a young age or spending some time in one of Walt s theme
parks brings a sense of nostalgia. For a brief moment you are taken back and remember that life
is not so bad and you are emerged in happiness. Typically, we tend to have good memories
connected with those films or theme parks, because as a child, responsibilities and worries didn t
exist yet and times were much simpler.

Employees would say, He sought out stories with optimism and heart as his staff called them.
(Croce 93). Disney s purpose is to bring light, laughter, and happiness into the world in whatever
form it may be. For example, when Walt Disney released Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, his
goal was that Snow White infuses hope and positivity into a society struggling with the
Depression. (Monet 111). This goes to show how moving and effective that Walt Disney films
inspire others that there is good and hope in the world. Walt Disney s films helped americans
escape their daily lives for a moment and feel happy and that there was a Happily Ever After .
These films gave everyone a bit of hope that they were struggling to find in these hard times. Walt
Disney also make it clear that There s enough ugliness and cynicism in the world without me adding

  • 2. The Three Ethnic Cultures Of The Malaysian Culture In... There are three main ethnic groups in Malaysia: the Malays, Chinese, and Indians. To understand Malaysian culture, we must first understand that individuals from a multicultural society exist within many cultural contexts simultaneously, each context influencing these individuals to some degree (Bonn Tam, 2016). Although most of the Chinese or Indian Malaysians are multiple generations away from their Chinese or Indian ancestors, the traditions, cultural norms, religious beliefs and linguistic identification of their heritage are maintained. While the majority of individuals from their respective ethnic group speak their mother tongue, they are able to speak Malay as a second language. The constitution states that a Malay is someone who practices Malay customs, speaks the language of Malay, and practices the religion of Islam (Bonn Tam; Mansor, 2000). The Malay social code discourages communication that is too direct or forthcoming, especially when providing criticism or negative feedback, as this may come across as rude (Mansor, 2000). This can be said the same for the Malaysian Chinese, as it is important to preserve face (jaga maruah in Malay, mian zi in Mandarin). The Malaysian Chinese primarily practice Buddhism, Taoism, or Christianity, and speak different dialects of Mandarin. Their heritage can be traced back to the regions of Guangdong and Fujian in China (Gabriel, 2014). The Malaysian Indians primarily practice Hinduism or Christianity, and speak Tamil. ... • 3. What Affects The Rate Of Respiration In Yeast Background research All living organisms need to respire in order to stay alive. The process of respiration converts oxygen and glucose into energy that is required to carry out the cellular biochemical reaction required to sustain life. Respiration: 6O2 + C6H12O6 в†’ energy + 6CO2 + 6H2O Oxygen is one of the reactants necessary for respiration therefore it is essential for all living organisms. Oxygen is produced through the process of photosynthesis where energy from the sun is converted into chemical energy in the form of glucose. Photosynthesis: 6CO2 + 6H2O + sunlight в†’ C6H12O6 + 6O2 All plants photosynthesize to produce glucose, which is stored chemical energy as the plants food can be converted into energy through respiration for life processes. The rate of photosynthesis has three main limiting factors carbon dioxide concentration, light intensity ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... One example is aquatic life. Animals use up dissolved oxygen to carry out respiration for cellular processes and bacteria use up oxygen to decompose and break down organic wastes removing oxygen from the water to breathe. Therefore dissolved oxygen levels are lower when a body of water contains a lot of decomposing material. Plants also affect dissolved oxygen content as they release oxygen as a bi product of photosynthesis. Temperature also affects oxygen content. Warmer water contains less dissolved oxygen than colder water and therefore oxygen concentration will change throughout the year as the weather and temperature changes. Another factor affecting oxygen concentration in the turbulence or movement of a body of water. In a fast moving body of water where the water is constantly moving, bubbles aerate the water and the dissolved oxygen content is often higher than a still body of water. Dissolved oxygen concentration is also affected by altitude. At higher altitudes oxygen is not dissolved as easily due to the higher ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Inorganic growth is a system of expanding the company by means of joining together with other companies to form what one may call a conglomerate. Inorganic growth involves mergers and take overs. A merger occurs when two firms come together or join together in order to share resources of the two organisations. A merger helps enhance the two organisations which have joined to share resources and management skills for the benefit of both organisations which now work under one management structure. Essay about Examination of Jesus Death Examination of Jesus Death INTRODUCTION I am going to write a detailed account that examines and investigates the trials of Jesus; I will be examining the events that took place between the time Jesus was arrested up till he was crucified. I will also be looking at the roles of certain people and how their actions influenced and affected the Course of Jesus life? THE ROLE OF JUDAS ISCARIOT On the night Jesus was to be arrested he went to a place called the garden of Gethsemane where he was only accompanied by peter and the two sons of Zebedee (John and James). Both Matthew and Mark s gospel mention this but Luke s gospel gives a vague account saying ... and the disciples went ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... There is another reason Jesus has gone to Gethsemane in the middle of the night to pray with only a few disciples because Jesus already realises that he has to die and if the temple guards tried to arrest him in broad daylight then they wouldn t be taken to very kindly by Jesus supporters and they would protest and wouldn t allow this to happen. So both Jesus and he s enemies realise this, that is why his enemies are not forcing the situation and biding their time but as Jesus has to carry out God s will he decides to give them the opportunity so he may be seized and arrested successfully. A while later Judas who used to be a disciple of Jesus but betrayed him for thirty silver pieces came to the garden with a large crowd of men who were armed with clubs and swords. The place was dark so Judas had to identify Jesus by kissing him; this was so that Jesus didn t get away and so that they arrested the right man. Judas went straight to Judas and said peace be with you teacher and kissed him. Jesus answered be quick about it, friend! When the people tried to arrest Jesus one of the disciples cut off the high priests slave ear, Jesus admonished him for that, both Mark and Matthew are in agreement over this but Luke s gospel goes on to say that Jesus said enough of this and healed the ... I evaluated myself on 21 different topics under the political spotlight and ranked myself on a scale one through ten, one being extremely liberal, and ten being extremely conservative. My score fell in the range being neutral between both viewpoints. On some topics I am extremely liberal, and on others I am extremely conservative. To start are the positions I ranked myself strongly liberal on. One topic I am extremely liberal in beliefs on is abortion. I strongly believe a women should have the right to do what they want medically with their body. One reason I believe this is because women are often targeted for rape.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Finally, I believe that same sex marriage is the union of people who love each other according to the liberal position. The conservative position gives power to the state government to decide whether to allow or ban same sex marriage. I believe that if two people love each other, regardless their race, religion, or gender, they should be able to decide for themselves if they want to get married. The government has no right to infringe on people s rights to freedom and the pursuit of happiness. If marriage makes a couple happy, they should have the right to get married. The conservative position on this topic uses the argument that it goes against moral and religious beliefs. In a society that is constantly changing its views on the ideal american family, more and more people are becoming accepting of same sex marriage. Although traditionally, same sex marriage was extremely frowned upon, we are a nation of progress, and should change our opinions and develop into a nation of acceptance and new morals. With all this oversight, why does safety fail? Anyone who deals with safety on a day to day basis would love to have this question answered. Many people have lost hair, sleep, patience, and time pondering, how did this happen? Most times through the course of research and investigations, the answer is; safetyfails when people routinely deviate from standard without repercussion, supervision is inadequate, or when people begin to rush. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... By not investing the possibilities that they may face nonstandard events in the future, they set themselves and those in their charge up for issues. Supervisors who are able to look ahead at impending issues will be able to react quicker and have better results. Even worse is the tendency for reactive supervisors to become over reactive supervisors. Over reaction may come in many forms but all will share one common trend, they will be detrimental to those they affect. Close minded supervisors and those that blindly enforce the standard are similar in nature but differ in reason and drive. Close mindedness is a product of refusing to see another s point of view where as someone blindly enforcing standards may be doing so with all the best intentions but may not be aware of the benefits of pushing for a change to the standard. Of all the supervisors for a safety system, the most burdening is one that only identifies issues and shortcomings but never presents a solution. The impact this style of supervision has on those under it cannot be understated it is morally exhausting. Workers who constantly have to wade through issue after issue with an apparent abandonment from the supervisors that never produce a solution will begin to get sloppy, apathetic, and rush just to be done with ... Imperialism In The White Man s Burden By Rudyard Ripling In the poem The White Man s Burden by Rudyard Kipling, Americans are asked to join other imperialists, Europeans, in civilizing the rest of the world. The poet urges Americans to send in their best bred sons to go into other countries to serve their captives. This rallying call comes out when Kipling says, Send forth the best ye breed , Go bind your sons to exile , To serve your captives need , which is a call for America s soldiers to go to war overseas. The poet argues that the war will bring peace, and eradicate hunger and disease in the countries that the sons of Americans will go to fight. In The Advertiser life experiences were presented sporadically throughout describing her battling depression , living a life full of contradictions and becoming an anti bullying advocate . In comparison, the Otago Daily Times gave little to no background knowledge to readers as she was brought up in New Zealand and her story is already in context. Also in recent years, celebrity suicide has not been uncommon. According to the website NWO Insider , the celebrities, Lee Thomson Young (September 2013), Corey Monteith (July 2013), Mindy McCready (February 2013), Mark Balelo (February 2013) and Gia Allemand (August 2013) all committed suicide in the last year highlighting the prevalence of suicide and how common it is in current society and therefore it is not unusual for this to occur. • 11. Inaccuracies In Saving Private Ryan Saving Private Ryan is considered one of the most historically accurate war movies ever produced. However, no movie could correctly duplicate the struggle that was faced and the fear that was shared among all of the soldiers. The movie is mostly centered around Private Ryan, a soldier during World War II, whose three brothers have died in combat. Not wanting his mother to lose her last son, eight men are given the mission of finding Ryan so he may be sent back home. The movie shows the difficulties that these eight men face while searching and still trying to win the war. Surprisingly, Saving Private Ryanis loosely based on a true story. Like Ryan in the movie, three of the four Niland brothers were reported dead and the last one was sent home so the family would not lose all of their children. They later discovered that one of the other brothers was alive after he escaped from a Japanese prison camp. Unlike in the movie, there was no team assembled to go after the surviving son. One of the biggest things that the movie got wrong was that they were not going to risk the lives of many to save one. In the movie, the sacrifice was justified by saying that the mother did not need to go through losing another son, but it was stated by one of the eight that they all had mothers who should not have to go through that either. Ukuthwala, forced marriage and the South African Children s Act Lea Mwambene and Julia Sloth Nielsen( Abstract In this article, we evaluate the implications of the Children s Act 38 of 2005 for ukuthwala. Ukuthwala is a practice whereby, preliminary to a customary marriage, a young man, by force, takes a girl to his home. Questions arise relating to the impact of constitutional principles upon customary law and practice. It is suggested that instead of a prohibitionist stance towards customs that seem to violate human rights norms, a benign accommodation of aspects that promote the positive aspects of culture be adopted. This approach leads to a conclusion that South African law should recognise those forms ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 15. Gender, Social, And Social Sciences And Humanities gender role is a theoretical construct in the social sciences and humanities that refers to a set of social and behavioral norms that, within a specific culture, are widely considered to be socially appropriate for individuals of a specific sex. Socially accepted gender roles differ widely between different cultures. Sex is what we are categorized based on our reproductive organs; female or male. Sex is pretty so concrete, for the most part, unless you are born with some rare genetic sex chromosomal disorder. Gender, it, well can be harder to determine. Gender is merely the state of being male or female. Like with the states of water, the state of being male or female, can be manipulated or changed. With each gender comes certain gender roles. These roles are to help accentuate one s sex to society. Gender roles have been around for centuries. The greatest thing we notice, when it comes to gender roles, is how much they vary from culture to culture. Since marriage constitutes slavery for women, it is clear that the women s movement must concentrate on attacking this institution. Freedom for women cannot be won without the abolition of marriage. Lin used black granite to make the monument reflective and peaceful. The mirrored effect made the park look doubled in size, which made it appear as though there were two worlds to resemble the unity between the nation s past and present. The use of carefully chosen materials and the illusion of size made the Vietnam Veterans Memorial convey an important message. • 20. My Life In America As An Undocumented Immigrants Summary Outlaw: My Life In America As An Undocumented Immigrant by Jose Antonio Vargas from the New York Times, is a narrative essay that focuses on telling a story of past events. Vargas proposes that since he grew up in America that this is considered his home. Vargas believed he would be granted citizenship if he worked harder and achieved more. His motivation of sharing his childhood journey would be the relief of him coming forward about his legal status to those who were not aware and to those who he truly cares about but could not risk sharing his story with. Vargas tone and stance attracts people who are or have already been through the same path and for those that come to America to live the American Dream like Vargas intended to. Vargas concludes he is trapped in duplicity and being dishonest about his legal status is destroying his character. Even though, Vargas convinces me about his difficult journey as an undocumented immigrant, his belief that coming forward with the truth of his legal status will allow him to regain his values or the trust of those who he has already lied to is unconvincing because after all those years it has become a part of his selfhood. Throughout the essay, Vargas references the inner struggle that he had to face day in and day out. The fear of being uncover, the stress behind who can be trusted and what he was able to do. Vargas worked towards gaining a career hoping it would have a positive influence in his legalization status. It means ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Southwest Airlines Hub Capacity And Congestion Management Giancarlo VillafaГ±a Southwest Airlines Hub Capacity and Congestion Management ASCI602 The Air Transportation System 06 June 2015 Abstract Southwest Airlines shot out of the gates, much to the chagrin of their competitors as a short haul, low fare, and high frequency carrier. As SWA expanded and deregulation occurred, they had to decide what kind of airline they wanted to be and how they would adapt to the changing environment. The FAA reports that passenger numbers are expected to reach a billion passengers in 2023 (FAA, 2011). Most Airlines are responding to the increased demand by centralizing and consolidating their assets. This in turn creates a situation where capacity is maximized in some airports and congestion increases causing significant delay. Demand will continue to rise over the next few decades and these airlines must rely on regulators and policy makers to upgrade the very necessary infrastructure and technology. Southwest s strategy is to remain a point to point carrier instead of the traditional hub and spoke carrier, satisfying their customer demand with lower congestion at underutilized airports with more flights. However Southwest continues to remain flexible looking forward as it adopts hub and spoke techniques, coordinates with the FAA and governing bodies, and invests heavily in its most important airports to stay ahead of the pack. • 32. William Shakespeare s Macbeth Essay Irene Pantazis Mr. Dudley Pr Ap English III 4 December, 2015 Macbeth Research Paper When studying literature or reading a play, our attention is drawn to the protagonist or antagonist. Shakespeare directs our attention onto heroism, which can be seen across all of his plays like Macbeth or Julius Caesar. The protagonists Macbeth and Banquo conquer the evils that face them throughout the plot. However, the nature of violence that takes place throughout Shakespeare s plays is in relation to the source of the killing of the soul (Macbeth and the Nature of Evil). In Macbeth, Macbeth is known as a superhuman warrior, the characteristics of being brave and having ambition. The main reason evil stirs up violence can be seen as examples in Macbeth and Julius Caesar, which is caused by evil being incompatible with humanity (Shakespeare s Play Themes). The murders in Macbeth and Julius Caesar are both examples of the rotation of the natural order. The killing of King Duncan in Macbeth is a prime example how evil and violence is shown into a comparison into Julius Caesar. Shakespeare uses a common theme in all plays that all relates back to reality (The Killing of King Duncan). Shakespeare also uses the literary device of repetition to create a theme (The Killing of King Duncan). In Macbeth the word blood is repeated due to creating the theme and the word blood allows the readers to remember that evil is a result to violence and anger. Blood is also ... • 36. Fall By Sanry Wadsworth Longfellow Poem Blessed warmth begins to fade, the insidious chill of winter begins to stretch its ever present fingers. People begin rejoicing, filling the air with the abomination that is pumpkin spice. The trees lose their shades of green, fading to warmer hues nature s pitiful attempt to compensate for the heat of day failing. These same leaves litter the ground, filling the air with a rank of decay and deterioration; men and women are forced to collect and dispose of the leaves. Children glumly file back into school, preparing themselves for the next eight months of incarceration. Halloween decorations begin appearing on people s houses, lining streets with cartoon pumpkins and skeletons. In John Keats poetry, as well as in Samuel Brydges and Henry Wadsworth Longfellow s poetry, fall is portrayed in a favorable light, idolizing the chill and change wrought by autumns arrival. All three poets use bright and vivid imagery to convey the wonder in Keats and Brydges poems, while Longfellow imbues his poem with a sense of majesty. Keats, forever the romantic, uses a hopeful cant and a vivid lexicon to create a hopeful image of the fall season. Keats tosses around the reminder of the bountiful harvest in the first stanza, talking about the apples, gourds, and nuts; he says that they swell and grow plentiful, to the point that he says the trees bend with apples. (Keats, 5) Keats also says that fall winds sweep across the land, showing up in everyone s stores, in their fields, and by ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

To use or produce counterfeit money is a form of fraud and therefore highly punished. Forgery has been an issue for a very long time, as it is a problem, which is nearly as old as money itself. Counterfeiting has a large impact on the economy and society, as it is reducing the value of real money, increasing the prices due to the fact that more money is circulating in the economy, and there s also a decrease in the acceptability of paper money. (3) Forgery is a serious and widely spread problem, as alone in the UK (2009) there were 566,000 counterfeit notes revealed. 95% of these were 20 pound notes. The most common fraud is of one pound coins, which there were in 2009 30 40 million in circulation of. That would be approximately 2.8% of the total one pound coins. One of his biggest mistake he made was his attempt to do court packing where he can add more Supreme Court justices when a justice reaches a certain age but refuses to retire. That is due to the frustration that he encounters with the old, conservative supreme court and he believes that such actions from the court have the intent on slowing down the progress of the New Deal. (Court Packing) It was very unexpected and the courts eventually take action to prevent the legislation from being more influential to the public. His executive action sending Japanese citizens in the US to internment camps was a controversial measure to make after the attacks on Pearl Harbor. It was deemed unfair to move Japanese Americans to relocation even though they don t have a role in the attacks on Pearl Harbor. He even refused to act on the issues regarding Jews in Europe, which causes the Holocaust to remain in place till the end of World War 2. He is criticized for not doing enough to save the Jews from extermination and it was a mistake that should be recognized due to the significance of all that. That causes Congress to pass an amendment to make the term limits rule an official law so that no one can ever be elected ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The designer starts making a rough model by using simple things like clay and ping pong balls. Keeping the materials and design simple and flexible allows the designer to easily experiment with and change the prototype. A prototype is the first working draft of a piece of equipment. Once the designer is satisfied with the shape, they make a drawing of the controller on a computer. Using the computer allows the team to change the components shape and move the knobs and switches around easily. Once they have an initial concept drawn up for the controller, they can print a three dimensional copy of the controller using a special device called a stereolithography printer. This lets them handle the controller and check out the feel and position of the buttons, knobs and trackball. If they want to change their position it is still easy to do at this phase. If this all goes well, they are ready for testing. Kirschen helps with the projects by providing hardware and software, which simulate an aircraft flight deck. This mockup allows designers to test out new designs. Here designers can evaluate their projects in a dynamic flight simulation and make sure they work correctly and are easy for the pilots to use.
