very interesting book! Not all the essays in An Anthropologist on Mars draw me
right in, but all the essays had their interesting points! Otter Sacks does really
interesting research. Sacks brings this to his essays. Thanks to Sacks I now have
learned about, and saw disabilities in a different light. An Anthropologist on Mars
is definitely one of the best educational books I have read. Sacks also made this book
very nice having seven different essays so I would not get bored of one. Short
Stories are the best. The Last Hippie hands down was my favorite essay in An

There are three poems explore the idea of love as the prime theme for each.They
have all been written by the same poet, John Donne. He covers so many different
takes on the feeling through his writings, his poetry to be precise, with different
moods, sometimes expressing cynical remorse and contempt or a completely opposite
approach comprising of faith, acceptance and content, perhaps owing to the fact that
he has had loveaffairs with a multitude of women, of course, ranging in quality and
duration hence giving him such a wide array of focal points on the spectrum of love.
The Flea approaches the theme of love through intense emotion and realistic
conversing style that directly addresses the beloved so it is in fact a sort of a one sided
The Sunne Rising however depicts a scene of fulfillment yet a subtle hint to the end
of the affair after a night of passionate expression through the mingling of the soul
through flesh. The poet finds it a contentment of infinity in the consummation hence
he ridicules the sun, the arrival of which announces a waking from the dreamlike
reality. However towards the end he gradually shifts the mood towards that of
satisfied love. And this is the only poem of these three where within a single poem
he has depicted a multitude of tones and moods which can be felt all the way
through, along with the blissfully crisp imagery. Joan Bennett called it a successful
fusion of wit and passion.
The three poems are generally all dramatic in nature but they can easily be classified
into different hues of the same landscape of love. In terms of the use of literary
elements the poet has artfully maintained consistency in the flow of rhyme and

ended. Ironically, by winning the Battle of Little Bighorn, the Sioux and Cheyenne
actually sped up the downfall of Native American power. In 1876, after a treaty

Custer was overwhelmed by the number of Native Americans and he and his whole
regiment died on what is now known as Custer Hill. The other force barely escaped
