We can have a hard drive copy of your
document, rather than having it printed. It could
get damaged and lost easily, especially if it is in
between a large pile.
• Disadvantage:
If a part gets damaged, it will take time and
money to replace it. If we would like to print out
a scanned document, it might not be of good
quality because of the lens and how clean the
scanner glass is.

object.

points on the monitor as the laser moves around

- It is a fast and accurate method of putting physical
measurements of an object on a computer in an
organized manner, resulting in what is commonly
called 3D scan data.
- You can see the object on the screen, with every
minor detail as if it was right in front of you.
- It is the size of a small refrigerator.
• Disadvantages:
- They are very expansive for small businesses to buy.
- 3D Scanners are not sold in public department
stores, so they are very hard to find.
