Essay On Environmental Pollution
Pollutants are impacting aquatic organisms distributed by daily human activities and natural
occurrences. An extensive amount of pollutants such as pesticides, heavy metals, and hydrocarbons
can result in direct significant damage, e.g. death. However lower levels of these harmful substances
can be stored in an organism and increase as it continues and follows up the food chain, a process
called biomagnification or bioaccumulation, having the greatest effect on the top predator of that food
chain. A common result of the pollutants can lead to stress, changing of the immune system, inhibit
lysozyme activity, damage gills, metabolism, and growth. Other factors include an excessive amount
of nutrients in the environment. Nitrogen can make its way into aquatic ecosystems when there is an
increase in nitrous oxide in the air, allowing eutrophication. Algae and bacteria feed off the nitrogen,
so a high number of these organisms appear and use oxygen around them as the feed, causing hypoxic
zones, or dead zones. Acidification, an increase in the ecosystem s pH acidity from acid rain, which
occurs from an increase in CO2 from air pollution. Aquatic organisms have a range of tolerance, and
water with high acidic pH will lead the organism out of the range of tolerance, resulting in stress of
the organism, and eventually death. Further studies are being pursuited to see larger impacts of
globalized pollution on aquatic species and their ecosystems.

represent the outcome of what learners should be able to do at the end of a learning experience. These
specific outcomes enable learners to cope with everyday life. If these outcomes are obtained by
learners, they have an opportunity to release their potential through various learning strategies. During
the intermediate and senior phase, teachers must provide learners with a wider and more advance
programme in order for the learners to gain more opportunities and skill developments. It is
particularly important for teachers to ensure that the breadth, depth, access and entailment skills are
developed by the learners to make critical choices during the FET phase.(J Nel amp; Dr RM

How Did The Middle East Affect A Global Economy
Global Economic Impacts of Middle Eastern Conflict
Throughout history the Middle East has been home to some of the most powerful and influential
empires in the world. As with all great empires they did not arise without difficulty. Though the
Middle East has had periods of great prosperity, it has also had periods of poverty and stagnation.
Within the last one hundred years the Middle East has seen many changes relating to borders,
religions, and international politics. Much of the changes that have happened originated from diverse
ways of thinking especially when it comes to religion and culture. Conflicts that occur in the Middle
East such as Israel, Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and Afghanistan have monumental effects on the global
economy predominately due to the massive oil industry in the region and competition between outside
nations trying to expand influence. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In 1920 after the end of WWI the Allies agreed on a plan to dissolve the Ottoman Empire and break it
into multiple regions. Any time a plan like this is implemented by outsiders it is usually fraught with
fighting and civil war. As the borders were changed and control of these different regions was given to
Britain and France, there was dissatisfaction. There were attempts by the Arabs and form independent
states but were unsuccessful because they lacked military and economic power to break free from
European control. Interestingly enough one problem even the British could not handle was between
the Zionist and Arab nationalists in Palestine, a problem that is so deeply seated in ideology a solution
seems impossible. Although the Arabs were unable to form independent states with opposition from
the Europeans this all ended after WWII when they removed themselves from the region. In 1948
Israel was founded and was the beginning of a new conflict between the Israelis and the

Analysis Of Herman Melville s Typee
In much of what we identify with in our everyday lives has to do with the relationships we have with
one another. These relationships are ultimately embedded into our memory for basically the rest of our
lives, and with some shape or form, shape us to who we are today. These relations, similarly have to
do with faces, actions and personal experiences that we have never been exposed to before. This type
of exposure is apparent in Herman Melville s Typee, where identity is of critical importance to that of
Tommo, the narrator, along with the tribe that he encounters while stranded on the island. There are
numerous instance as to where Tommo questions his moral and somewhat physical identity in Typee.
These events such as Tommos decision to tattoo himself is a major identity crisis because it s not
something he, nor his Western culture is really exposed to or familiar with. The Typee practices and
societal structures displayed by Melville in Typee allows the reader in some case, to compare and
contrast how Western civilization and the other [Typee] reaffirm identity. In a sense Tommo and his
decision, by the end of the novel, really allows the reader to understand what creates and helps
maintain identity for ones self. Melville, in the beginning, introduces Tommo as an individual that
prefers to be unidentified or wants to be invisible to others, but wants to be someone whom takes
pleasure in the observation of others. Tommo, in Marquesan, does mean to

Projects are then scored and prioritized based on the criteria. Once projects are prioritized and those
priorities are reviewed and discussed, the department can evaluate the results to determine funding and
resource allocation for the higher priority projects.
A final step involves assessing how and when (or if) to fund the lower priority projects in the future
if/when more resources become available.
Creating and using a prioritization matrix involves five simple steps:
1. Determine your criteria and rating scale.
There are two components involved in rating the projects on your ¡§to do¡¨ list: criteria for assessing
importance, and a rating scale.
The first step is to determine the factors you will use to assess the importance of each project. Choose
factors that will clearly differentiate important from unimportant projects ¡V these are your criteria. A
group of 6 12 criteria is typical. Example criteria might include whether or not the project is a
mandate, the value it brings to the customer, etc.
Then, for each of your criteria, establish a rating scale to use in assessing how well a particular project
satisfies that criteria. To ensure consistent use of the rating scale, provide some details to define how
the criteria should be applied. The following table provides some examples:

Study of Genes Found in Streptococcus Agalctiae
Streptococcus agalactiae is a known pathogen and is widely known as an important cause of invasive
disease in neonates. In this report the pathogenicity of this organism was investigates by looking at the
distribution of genes found in Streptococcus agalctiae which appear to play an important role in the
virulence of this pathogen. The distribution of these virulence genes was investigated in Streptococcus
agalactiae samples recovered from neonates who had experienced an invasive disease and samples
recovered from the vaginas of women who naturally have this organism as a commensal.
The bacterial capsule which includes serotype specific antibodies has a critical role to play in the
virulence of this organism (Smith et al, 2006). The other virulence factors include;
The BCA gene which encodes for the alpha C protein, which is a virulence factor on the surface of
Streptococcus agalactiae. (Foxman et al, 2007).
The RIB gene which expresses a surface protein called RIB which is found in Streptococcus
agalactiae strains isolated from infections caused by the pathogen (Cabezon et al, 1996). . This protein
confers protective immunity, which classifies this protein as a virulence gene. It is expressed by most
strains causing life threatening infection, including almost all strains of serotype III (Cabezon et al,
1996). The Rib protein is found to share several properties with the alpha proteins. Both alpha and rib
proteins are resistant to trypsin and vary greatly in size

Human Trafficking Policy Summary
This policy was monumental in the fight of human trafficking because it formalized the overall U.S.
policies through an emphasis on prevention of severe forms of human trafficking, prosecution of
traffickers, and protection of victims both domestically and internationally. The Trafficking Victims
Protection Reauthorization Act of 2003 amended the TVPA of 2000, which directed the President to
launch programs of border interdiction outside the United States by providing grants to foreign NGOs
that provide for transit shelters functioning at key border crossings. Border guards, officials, and other
law enforcement officials are educated and trained to (1) identify traffickers and victims of severe
forms of trafficking; (2) treat victims appropriately; ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
On December 2002, President Bush issued the fifth policy named the National Security Presidential
Directive 22 on Combating Trafficking in Persons (NSPD 22). The main goal of the NSPD 22 was for
the U.S government to eradicate international trafficking in persons, including a zero tolerance policy
among U.S. government employees and contractors. (Wyler) Lastly, on September 2012, President
Obama issued Executive Order 13627 strengthening the protection against persons in federal courts.
This basically enforces that the FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulatory) reviews existing contractor
procedures for preventing human trafficking to include prohibitions on misleading or fraudulent
recruitment practices. Throughout the years the United States have committed to combating various
policies starting with the Tariff Act of 1930 to National Security Presidential Directive 22 in order to
combat and eradicate human trafficking. Congress continues to actively enact policies, appropriate

In the story of Bartleby the Scrivener by Herman Melville, there is a lawyer who narrates the entire
story. He owns his own law practice and also has an assortment of scribes who work for him. The first
scrivener, named Turkey, was a hard worker until 12 o clock noon daily. Following that time, his work
begins to diminish. The second, who they called Nippers, was the complete opposite. He worked best
during the afternoon and evening hours. Lastly, Bartleby didn t do much work at all. He was lazy, he

They obey the owner because they were taught to do whatever they need to in order to provide for
themselves and their families. It is obvious that Bartleby never learned these values and as a result he
is unable to apply these rules in the workforce. Bartleby was a lonely character. He stayed in a small
corner in his workspace, never went anywhere out to eat, and spoke only when he was spoken to. I
assume he was homeless, or depressed even. It s like he had nothing to lose. Parents, wives and
children were never mentioned, and there was no human interaction between anyone except with the
ones he worked with. I suppose the others work hard and diligently to supply income for the ones they
have to support. And in Bartleby s case, he had no one to be there for. Bartleby has taken the role as a
panhandler in a sense. The lawyer sees that he has nowhere to go, and no one to depend upon, so he
lets him stay. Even though he is poor, he s not as naïve as everyone thinks he is. They call Bartleby
mysterious and they take his many refusals lightly. It seems as if he knows exactly what he s doing,
and he just wants to make others feel sorry for him. He is only getting away with not doing any work
because the boss lets him do so, and he knows this. The average person will do whatever their
manager says, just to avoid any arising conflicts in the workforce. They most likely will complain

With a toppling number in the hundreds; in today s society this is the exceeding amount of diets in
existence. As humans we crave an image of perfection in one s self; and a diet is just a route we take
in order achieve this goal. The question that comes to mind of many is: Which diet actually works?
The family oriented traditional western diet or a vegan diet? Firstly, the western diet is characterized
by high intakes of red meat, sugary desserts, high fat foods, and refined grains ( Nazni 78). This diet
primarily consists of foods that are virtually available to the average American. In addition, this diet is

chic to wear multiple bracelets at once, to wear two bracelets at a time, or to wear just one simple,

bracelets are made of metals, beads, and even plastics, threads, hemp, acrylics, and leathers. Bracelets
are worn by men and women to show off personal style, to complement clothing, as a symbolic

The known history of ear piercing begins 5000 years ago with the discovery of an ancient mummy

Persuasive Speech On Transgenders In The Military
Transgender Military Ban
Discrimination is still a major issue all over the world in today s society. For instance, In the United
States, transgenders have now been banned to serve in the military. These people deserve the potential
and capability to defend their nation. Many close minded people come to the conclusion that
transgenders are weak and it is affecting our military when in reality they are doing the complete
opposite. They deserve to be treated equally and be given the same rights because they are also a
human and deserve the same respect. The overall best decision is to lift the ban and apologize for
taking away their rights or else there will never be equality in our society.
Just a year ago, transgenders were given the right to freely serve in the military, but now Donald
Trump took away their ability to do so. On July 26, Trump tweeted, Our military must be forced on
decisive and overwhelming victory and cannot be burdened with the tremendous medical costs and
disruption that transgender in the military would entail. Thank you. (Trump) He has called these
certain soldiers a burden because the costs are going to medical purposes instead of strengthening the
military. Although this may be true to an extent, it is not a very reasonable reason to take away their
right to serve. A study has shown that the treatments would cost, ... we expect only a 0.13 percent

Some of these effects can be seen in the Africa s neighbor Sri Lanka, south of India, as seen through
the eyes of a young boy in the novel Funny Boy by Shyam Selvadurai. As the life of Arjie unfolds in
his home of Sri Lanka, we are driven down many winding roads. The internal struggle of a young boy
trying to come of age in a Tamil family hardened by life after colonization and the racial tension
between the Tamil and the Sinhalese. Under British colonial rule, the majority of the Tamil inhabitants
of Sri Lanka was brought in as slaves with few working within governmental positions. The Sinhalese
people outnumbered and continued to persecute the Tamil population once the British departed. The
following years were similarly as brutal as those once seen during forced enslavement. Although they
had achieved freedom to some degree, the Sinhalese government achieved new heights of corruption
and used many means to continue the oppression and separation of the two races. Many Tamil
families, like Arjie s, accepted the fragile state of affairs, but the animosity from years of violence and
subjugation was deeply imbedded in family culture and values. The gradual transition from steadfast
animosity, to acceptance and questioning of the strains between the two races on a larger scale is scene
across three generations presented to us in the text. The social constructs for the people of Sri Lanka

The Strange Case Of Dr Jekyll And Mr Hyde
Critical Analysis: The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde In the novel, The Strange Case of Dr.
Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Robert Louis Stevenson demonstrates the battle between good and evil that
occurs within the individual. The novel is essentially an allegory for the internal struggle between
these two sides of the human personality. The story is centered around a chemist named Henry Jekyll,
who composes a concoction that allows him to shift between his typical, well mannered self and an
alternate evil identity that allows him to give into his sinful pleasures. In their critiques on the novel,
Joyce Carol Oates and Henry James discuss Stevenson s presentation of good vs. evil, as well as the
significance of his message on the subject. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
James states that it is not so much the profundity of the idea which strikes [him] so much as the art of
the presentation the extremely successful form. James s praise of Stevenson s writing is warranted.
Though the struggle between good and evil is not so much an original idea, Stevenson s portrayal of
this age old conflict is what captivates the reader. James goes on to state that in the novel there is
genuine feeling for the perpetual moral question, a fresh sense of the difficulty of being good and the
brutishness of being bad, but what there is above all is a singular ability in holding the interest.
Stevenson s story is an intriguing one that keeps the reader uncertain until the very end. The novel
portrays both sides of man s nature in a way that highlights the features of both good and evil by
offering perspective on the subject from the same man in both forms. Jekyll himself states that he was
no more [himself] when [he] laid aside restraint and plunged in shame, than when [he] labored...at the
furtherance of knowledge or the relief of sorrow and suffering (Stevenson 61). It is this open honesty
from the main character at the end of the novel that not only enthralls the reader, but also offers fresh
insight into the human condition in a unique

Investigation Of Using Dual Stack And Tunneling Mechanisms
Investigations of using Dual Stack and Tunneling Mechanisms in migration from IPV4 to IPV6:
Abstract
Introduction
Internet protocol written as IP in the short form is the method by which one computer communicates
by sending data to another computer over the Internet. Normally, each computer has a unique form of
IP address that identifies itself on the internet. Internet protocol has two versions: Internet protocol
version 4 and Internet protocol version 6 that is the most current version of IPV6 is an upgrade of
IPV4 (Gavrilova 2006). IPV6 has added advantages and therefore necessitates every organization to
migrate from IPV4 to IPV6.
Background of the study
The internet protocol version 4 abbreviated as IPV4 is a connectionless protocol ... Show more content

IPV6 is not a rigid IP as it allows for the growth of the internet concerning the number of
interconnected computers or hosts and the volume of data transmitted (Kott, Wang, Erbacher 2014).
The primary advantage of the IPV6 over IPV4 is the increase in IP addresses. However, there are other
advantages of IPV6 which include: automatic configuration, simplified and more efficient routing,
Simpler header format, flow labeling, easier administration, Flexible options and extensions, privacy
support and inbuilt authentication and an end to network address translation (Adibi, Mobasher, Tofigh
2010).
Objective/Aim of the Study
As Zurawski (2005) explains, an organization s network status and the speed at which they need the
IPV4 transition to IPV6 greatly determine the selection of the transition method, the dual stack
method, tunneling method or any available option.
This paper seeks to explore how the transition methods; the dual stack method and tunneling method
works. Businesses with small network devices and bleeding edge technology can promulgate to IPV6
faster compared to businesses with large network devices. Large companies usually have many and
large network devices, leading to slow Ipv4 to IPV6 transition process (Jonas, Rai, Tchuente 2013).
Following the multiple benefits resulting from IPV6, it is therefore, important that network
practitioners should seek expertise in IPV6 quickly in order to meet

Narcissus Symbols
What s up with all these Greek characters getting to be their own symbol? How you can be a character
and a symbol? Simple: you just have to be really, really old. The fact is that Greek mythology has
been around forever. The stories have been read and interpreted by countless people.
Over time, the characters stop being characters and become stand ins for ideas. Narcissus is no longer
a guy; he is now the ultimate picture of self love. When you come across a person who thinks they re
hot stuff, you say they re being narcissistic. This is a big symbol, so let s take it in three parts.

Dbq Treaty Of Versailles
Many factors contribute to a group of people failing to accomplish a goal, but the stubbornness of
participants often is a leading cause. The Senate s failure to ratify the Treaty of Versailles in 1919
shows this idea, due to the feud between President Woodrow Wilson and the Internationalists, and
Henry Cabot Lodge and the Reservationists. The Internationalists fully supported the passing of the
Treaty of Versailles, whereas the Reservationists believed it was necessary to change the Treaty,
specifically Article Ten. Similarly, Borah and the Irreconcilables believed that the League of Nations
was in conflict with one of the ideals the nation was founded on; to not engage in foreign
entanglements. As Senator William Borah, put it, the League ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The Republicans resisted the Treaty because they believed that if it were to be ratified, Wilson s
prestige would soar and he might even be re elected for a third time (Bailey, 184). Thus, the
Republican Party was against the Treaty of Versailles in its original form out of fear. Wilson fully
believed that the Treaty was going to bring world peace, and regardless of this belief, the Republican
Party voted against it because of who came up with it. Wilson fought greatly for it and said that if the
Treaty failed that he would gather all the soldiers who fought in World War One and tell them I told
you before you went across the seas that this was a war against wars and I did my best to fulfill the
promise, but I am obliged to come to you in mortifications and shame and say I have not been able to
fulfill the promise, (Wilson). Wilson was willing to take blame for the hypothetical failure of the
Treaty of Versailles and the Republicans still voted against it because they did not want Wilson s
popularity to go up. Wilson believed so strongly in Article Ten that he believed that the League of
Nations would justify the United States honor and bring peace to the world (Wilson). The belief that
the Republican Party did not ratify the Treaty because they did not want to risk another Wilson
presidency is absurd. This idea perpetuates the idea that if one person, in a position of power, strongly
believes in something, then it must good. One can apply this idea to how strongly Wilson believed in
the Treaty of Versailles, yet it was not enough to convince the Senate that the League of Nations
Collective Security Covenant was a good idea. It was not the Republican Party s fear of a third term of
Wilson that caused the death of the Treaty, but Wilson himself. The belief that if

New Hampshire Visit
My mother held the reason for the family s New Hampshire visit, two tickets to a race at New
Hampshire Motor Speedway. While my parents attended the race in the sweltering heat, my sister,
Catlyn, and I had the entire day to ourselves. We didn t have much of a plan besides spending the day
without our parents. Catlyn and I agreed to explore the area around Hampton, starting near our hotel.
We found a pamphlet for a group of outlet stores. Upon further inspection of the pamphlet, we realized
that outlets were in Maine. This fact had confused us. To our knowledge New Hampshire and Maine
seemed too far for a day s drive. When we found directions on our phones we noticed that it would

We still had plenty of time in the day to get to Kittery, so Catlyn and I set off for Maine. As our
parents didn t have the pleasure of knowing that we decided to drive to Maine, we thoughtfully sent
them a picture of the Welcome to Maine sign, leaving them to question why we left the state. We
arrived at Kittery sometime near noon. After walking around in the summer heat, we stopped at a Bose
factory store. The moment we walked into the store we fell under a trance to try on every single pair
of headphones. Ooh, noise cancelling, my sister said with a sarcastic tone. We compared pairs of
headphones and enjoyed the cool air conditioning. We had to pick up every pair and check, possibly
double check, the cushions and the way the headphones felt when we wore them. The time spent in the
Bose store was well needed as the air conditioning was perfectly set to cool us during the warm day.
After our folly in the store we decided to check the rest of the outlet stores to possibly find more
nonsensical things to mess around with. We stopped into a store called Brookstone after. This store is

Radical activism is defined as taking action to achieve justice. The injustices black people have faced
throughout history stem from the insecurities of white people and their hunger for power. Today, we
have advanced farther than any of our ancestors could have ever imagined and it would not be
possible without the hard work and activism of the black woman first, the black man second, and both
of us as a unit third. Throughout history black women were seen as invisible. They have been viewed
as weak and powerless and their views and opinions have been pushed to the side. This has been a
reoccurring issue over the years and many women from different generations have stepped up to

Benefits Of Using Mobile Phone
Payment solutions have changed drastically over time, going from bartering goods in ancient times,
using gold and silver, paying with cash and coins, using credit cards, and now mobile devices. There
are five main types of mobile payments: mobile at the point of sale, mobile as the point of sale, mobile
payment platform, direct mobile billing, and closed loop mobile payments (1). However, this paper
will focus on the three most familiar to college students and young adults.
First is mobile at the point of sale, which is also known as a mobile wallet. With this system, a user
adds money to their virtual wallet from their credit card and then taps their mobile device at the point

A popular example of the closed loop mobile payment system is the Starbucks Mobile App where
customers load the app with money and use it towards future purchases. The app can also keep track
of loyalty points and coupons (2).
Mobile payments are still relatively new. Bob Violini, the author of Payments on the Go, states fewer
than 3% of merchants currently support NFC payments on their point of sale systems, but after
companies are able to commit to hardware upgrades and data protection costs, Mobile Payment
technology will greatly increase in businesses around the world (5). According to Von Wallenstein of
Business NH Magazine, ApplePay, Google Wallet, Paypal, and Starbucks App are seen as convenient
payment methods for consumers, but the benefit provided to the vendor is even greater because time is
saved at checkout time (6).
When using mobile devices as a form of payment, as stated before the merchant doesn t see the actual
credit card information of a consumer, but someone does; Visa and Mastercard are the main
companies that serve as middlemen between the consumer and the merchant when mobile payment
transactions are being made. One of mobile payment security s biggest concerns is who has access to
cardholder information, and how can the people responsible for protecting the information know who
else could possibly have access. There has been no evidence of

American Plantation Social Classes
Social classes have existed throughout all of history. The categorizing of slaves on American
Plantations is often overlooked, but there were in fact many levels of slave classes. The use of a class
system helped plantation owners to punish and reward their slaves as well as to keep their business
organized. The lowest class of slaves was those who did field labor. They had the poorest food,
housing, and clothes. These bad conditions motivated them to work harder to earn better positions.
The second class of slaves was the boatmen and the cooks. They had slightly better food, clothing, and
housing than the field labors. Their fear being debunked back to the field labor prevented them from
disobeying. The next class of slaves was the skilled

What Made The Union Forces Able To Achieve Victory In The...
The Union forces were able to make great gains in the western campaign by taking and controlling the
major water ways, allowing the ability to swiftly maneuver their forces and supplies around the battle
field; in turn extensible cutting off the Confederacy. This was accomplished through three key facts: a
far superior ship building capability then the Confederates, understanding the importance of
controlling the major river networks, and the effective employment of combined operations to achieve
success. These three items allowed the Union to quickly gain a foothold and then spread control over
the three major rivers in the area: the Mississippi, Cumberland, and the Tennessee Rivers. At the onset
of the war, both sides struggled with combat capable ships. The Union though, was able to establish a
much stronger production capability than the Confederates, who lacked materials and secure locations
to build. The Union quickly set into production a new class of fighting ships, which would be called
the City Classers. These first of its kind ships, designed by Samuel Pook, consisted of three gun ports

ships could provide, limited large military action. It was clear to the Union that the Confederate forts
needed to be dealt with, but lacking the firepower needed, they would have to wait until the City

boundaries that can cause miscommunication when communicating cross culturally. This paper will

Understanding the barriers of each of these patterns will help you to have more effective

In a society with a low power distance members feel entitled to power. With low power distance
society is more democratic and hierarchal. Whereas with high power distance, power is not shared
things are very unequal. The people with power make all of the rules. Examples of a large power
system is Korea, and example of a small power system is Norway. Understanding power distance is
essential to successful cross cultural communication. power distance denotes the degree to which less
powerful members of a society take inequality for granted. Hofstede explains that though inequality
exists in all societies, the level of tolerance to it, changes from one to culture to another. (Toprak,
Genc Kumtepe) Power distance looks at how members of society who have little or no power respond
to the distribution of power. A person who comes from a society with low power distance would be
very confused if they attended a meeting in Korea a culture with a high power distance. For example,
in a high power distance society a manager may look down on his employee, the employee will
understand that his manager holds all of the power and he goes to him for direction. In a low power
distance society an employee would see themselves as equal to their manager.
A great example of high power distance can be seen in country like Korea which I have mentioned
before. If you walked into a corporate board meeting in Korea, you may be caught of guard if you re

INTRODUCTION
Democratic government can be parliamentary or presidential. The difference between these two forms
of governments depends upon the relationship between the executive and legislative organs of the
government. If the executive and legislature are unified and controlled under the control of same
persons, so that there is assurance of harmony between these two branches and also the executive is
responsible to the legislative body for his policies and actions, such a system is parliamentary . If the
executive and legislature are separate and the executive is not responsible to the legislature, it is called
presidential form of government.

In this way, it is ensured that the government is, at all times, conscious of fulfilling its responsibilities

system as it is highly adaptive to changing situations. For instance, if there is situation of emergency
the leadership could be changed without any kind of hassle. As in England it happened during World
War II when Mr. Chamberlain had step down for Mr. Winston Churchil to handle the war. Moreover,
the elections can be deferred till normalcy is restored. Such flexibility can only be seen in the
parliamentary system whereas there is no flexibility in the Presidential system which is a highly rigid
system.
Another important characteristic of this system is swiftness in decision making and policy
formulations for the purpose of governance of the country as pointed out by Lord

Wordsworth And Shelley s On Powers And Illusions Of The...
The Romantic period, a time that writers such as Wordsworth and Shelley focused their writing in the
centre of life and social importance. An important aspect of Romanticism: its emphasis upon the
power and terrors of the inner imaginative life (Watson, 2012, p. 1). The Prelude celebrates
Wordsworth s life retained through memories and with the act of remembering, depicting emotions
and experiences. Whereas, Shelley and the Ode to the West Wind engaged his audience with inner and
outer lives situations, ideas and elements of nature that represent his own position and ideas. This
essay will compare and contrast Wordsworth recollections and Shelley dramatizations of the powers
and terrors of the inner imaginative life . Also considering, rhyme scheme, stanza forms, the reasons
for the use of assonance and alliteration, and other poetic techniques. Finally, how do these effects
relate to the main question. When given consideration to the poems, the descriptions demonstrated a
deeper power of inner imaginative life. The power as stated comes from the heart or the soul, but also
somehow from outside (The Open University, 2012, Romantic authorship, transcript p. 1). In
comparison, both poets combine natural landscape with sublime vision of poetic power, that creates
debates to what is real and or subjective. The Romantic period required authors to fulfil the Romantic
ideology. Percy Bysshe Shelley (1792 1822) with a reputation for social and political ideas

The relative successes and failures of that Act are becoming more apparent with time, and the
shortcomings are subject to intense partisan criticism. As discussed below, Dodd Frank seeks to
address the highly sensitive and controversial notion that Wall Street banks have been designated by
the Federal Reserve as too big to fail. In fact, during the most severe moments of the crisis, the voices
of free market proponents could be heard advocating that these troubled big banks, suffering massive
losses due to their own bad bets, and if weakened to the point of failure, should be allowed to fail.
Hindsight shows that allowing just one to fail, Lehman Brothers, had serious and lasting detrimental
effect on the US and global financial system and markets. Had Lehman been saved, it would have
been the most effective agent to unwind all of the transactions and trades to which it was a party, and
likely in a rapid manner. However, being thrust into bankruptcy, and thereafter receivers were
appointed to unwind the business, took months upon months and vast resources to settle Lehman
accounts. Had Citibank, Bank of America, Bear Stearns, or AIG been allowed to fail, it may have been
possible that the US financial system would have melted down completely. So these super banks, and
non banks, cannot be allowed to fail in crisis, due to the system wide risk. Notwithstanding, such an

The Projetion of the Perfection Paradox
The Projection of the Perfection Paradox
In René Descartes s Discourse on Method, seeking the true method for arriving at knowledge (p. 10) is
the goal in which he states in the beginning of discourse. With that end in mind, by analyzing proofs
that Descartes finds it can be seen if this was achieved. The proof that God exist is a defining moment
in the discourse since God is continually referenced for origin of true knowledge. The reference to
God does not only set the stage for further proofs on knowledge, but as the original truth, all of what
Descartes finds real can be related back to God. This idea will be key in order to keep the excising of
the method going when Descartes falls stagnant when relating to the external world (p. 19).
Nevertheless, his two proofs of the existence of God affect the entire discourse either logical or
structurally. His reasoning for the both proofs is in someway exposed to either an assumption or a
logical mistake. While the need for two proofs reflects negatively on the way the theme is structured
through out the entire discourse. Inherently, the way these issue are dealt with will show the
proficiency of Descartes s method. God s existence is a fundamental idea in the Discourse on Method,
since Descartes s method is unsuccessful to prove this idea with out any error; the entire message of
the discourse suffers.
Descartes s method, as shown in part two, is set up to ensure that he is conducting his reasoning with

Female Orgasm Dysfunction Paper
The sexual topic that I chose to explore for my paper is female orgasm dysfunction (FSD), where
many women, like myself, are unable to experience orgasm through vaginal intercourse. There are
many factors that contribute to a woman s inability, or infrequency to orgasm, such as biological,
psychological, and emotional factors. Being that my personal experiment had to do with factors
associated with personality such as openness to new experiences and shyness, I wanted to explore and
learn about other causes that effect female orgasm. Therefore I chose to read three articles: Personal
Factors that Contribute to or Impair Women s Ability to Achieve Orgasm, Emotional Intelligence and

In addition, their research yielded in results that showed that the total score of emotional intelligence
was found to be positively correlated with both frequency of orgasm during intercourse and
masturbation; that a high emotional intelligence level contributes to the ability to achieve orgasm
more frequently; and that the proportion of women who report always experiencing orgasm was
greater during masturbation compared with sexual intercourse (Burri, Cherkas Spector, 1933 1934).
One of my critiques of the research has to do with their method of using surveys and questionnaires,
because both methods can result in recall bias, where participants either lie about a response on
purpose or due to lack of memory, which can skew the results. Also, the sole use of twins for this
study seems odd to me, being that twins share the same genetic makeup, which makes me question
whether or not that had any impact on the results. If I were the researchers I would have used both

the major regions she felt tied to the women s suffrage movement. She wanted to do and be who she
wanted without being discriminated by men such as her father. One painting that represents this belief
is The Mandolin Player, It depicts the portrait of a young girl playing a Mandolin but I believe it has a

The Implications Of Genetically Engineered Foods
Genetically engineered foods are defined as foods that have had genes from other animals or plants
(hereby referred to as foreign genes) added onto their genetic codes. The genetic engineering
technique can be employed on animals, plants, or on such microorganisms as bacteria (NIH). The
question of whether foods derived from such organisms should be approved for human consumption is
what has raised widespread controversy among many circles. There are those who view GM foods as
the ultimate solution to major challenges of the 21st century while others see them as a threat to
human health and the environment. Notably, the global society is facing major challenges key among
them being food insecurity and environmental issues such as global warming and climate change.
Genetically engineered foods present a potential solution to these challenges. This paper will argue
that with adequate research and regulation, genetically engineered foods should be approved owing to
the benefits they present in terms of increased food production and quality, as well as eliminating the
need to compromise the environment in the pursuit of more cultivation land and higher crop yield.
In my view, we certainly need genetically engineered foods to fight food insecurity that characterizes
the global society. A look at related statistics denotes a population that is facing serious food security
challenges. According to the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), an estimated 795 million

We continued to discuss perceptions and misconceptions of his culture and he explained that this is a
very personal subject for him, along with racism and the aftermath of Hurricane Maria which recently

discussing it. One of the biggest misconceptions for RJA personally is the assumption that other
people make when they meet him that because he is black he cannot be Puerto Rican. He finds this
ignorance absurd and dislikes people being put into boxes . There are millions of Afro Latinos
throughout Latin American and the United States and he objects to them not being treated as such and
considered different from other Latinos. He stated that many Puerto Ricans in the United States

Hispanics who initially think I am African American. He finds it strange and sad that several white
Americans he has encountered somehow feel more comfortable around him and open up about
controversial topics related to race when they find out he s not African American. He quotes the words
of Jose Marti, a Cuban patriot, who used to say with regards to his fellow Cuban countrymen: More
than white, more than black: we are Cubans . I would be remiss not to mention RJA s thoughts of the

Vitamin D Supplementation
Multiple Sclerosis is a disease which affects neurons in the central nervous system. It erodes the
myelin sheath that covers the axons of the neurons. As such, the transmission of nerve signals does not
occur as efficiently as it should. The myelin sheath gets disintegrated due to an autoimmune disease,
where the immune system attacks its own tissue rather than foreign tissue.
Research conducted shows that there is a correlation between multiple sclerosis and people s
geographical location. People who live closer to the equator are less likely to get multiple sclerosis,
whereas people who live further away from the equator have a greater chance of getting it. One reason
for this explanation is that sunlight is rich in Vitamin D and there is more sunlight near the equator,
compared to areas further away from the equator. As a result, lack of Vitamin D may be responsible
for the onset of multiple sclerosis.
If a person is deficient in Vitamin D, they may have a greater chance of getting this disease. One area
of key interest is that in patients who have this disease, can enhancing the uptake of Vitamin D
alleviate symptoms of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Is it thought that Vitamin D supplementation will help alleviate the symptoms of Multiple Sclerosis.
The procedure for doing this research can be as follows. A total of 100 patients who have Multiple
Sclerosis would be subjected to this test where half of the patients would be given a tablet which has
Vitamin D in it while the other 50 patients will be given a tablet which would be a placebo. The
placebo is the control to make sure no other factors are influencing the symptom s of multiple
sclerosis. There will be approximately 100 patients who will be tested. Out of these 100 patients, 50
(group A) will be given Vitamin D tablets, while the other 50 (group B) will be given the placebo

Preoperative Anesthesia, Pharmacotherapy And Mirror Therapy
Preoperative anesthesia, pharmacotherapy and mirror therapy have been the most popular and widely
used treatment therapies for patients with PLP, but there are many more therapies emerging from
studies have shown promising results. One such treatment therapy is eye movement desensitization
and reprocessing (EMDR). In a clinical study done by de Roos et al. (2010), ten participants with leg
amputations (one participant had both legs amputated) who experienced PLP which ranged from,
aching, squeezing, cramping, shooting, burning, stinging, and stabbing pain, to be treated using
EMDR (de Roos et al., 2010, p. 66). De Roos et al. theorized that: Painful conditions, such as PLP,
may be the result of inappropriately stored of chronically ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
According to the EMDR Institute, Inc., EMDR therapy consists of: Eye movements (or other bilateral
stimulation) are used during one part of the session. After the clinician has determined which memory
to target first, he asks the client to hold different aspects of that event or thought in mind and to use his
eyes to track the therapist s hand as it moves back and forth across the client s field of vision. As this
happens, for reasons believed by a Harvard researcher to be connected with the biological mechanisms
involved in Rapid Eye Movement (REM) sleep, internal associations arise and the clients begin to
process the memory and disturbing feelings. In successful EMDR therapy, the meaning of painful
events is transformed on an emotional level ( What is EMDR? 2017). At the completion of the study,
de Roos et al. reported that of the nine participants that completed the treatment, four participants
reported a decrease in pain intensity, four participants reported being pain free, and one participant
reported no improvement in pain, with an overall significant decrease in mean pain scores compared
to before the treatment (P=0.00) (de Roos et al., 2010, p. 68). A long term follow up was completed at
an average of 2.8 years since treatment completion in which six of the nine participants reported a
further reduction in pain and were pain free, two participants pain level was the same since completion
of the treatment, one participant had an

  • 2. Essay On Environmental Pollution Pollutants are impacting aquatic organisms distributed by daily human activities and natural occurrences. An extensive amount of pollutants such as pesticides, heavy metals, and hydrocarbons can result in direct significant damage, e.g. death. However lower levels of these harmful substances can be stored in an organism and increase as it continues and follows up the food chain, a process called biomagnification or bioaccumulation, having the greatest effect on the top predator of that food chain. A common result of the pollutants can lead to stress, changing of the immune system, inhibit lysozyme activity, damage gills, metabolism, and growth. Other factors include an excessive amount of nutrients in the environment. Nitrogen can make its way into aquatic ecosystems when there is an increase in nitrous oxide in the air, allowing eutrophication. Algae and bacteria feed off the nitrogen, so a high number of these organisms appear and use oxygen around them as the feed, causing hypoxic zones, or dead zones. Acidification, an increase in the ecosystem s pH acidity from acid rain, which occurs from an increase in CO2 from air pollution. Aquatic organisms have a range of tolerance, and water with high acidic pH will lead the organism out of the range of tolerance, resulting in stress of the organism, and eventually death. Further studies are being pursuited to see larger impacts of globalized pollution on aquatic species and their ecosystems. Keywords: Pollutants, pesticides, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

As with all great empires they did not arise without difficulty. Though the Middle East has had periods of great prosperity, it has also had periods of poverty and stagnation. Within the last one hundred years the Middle East has seen many changes relating to borders, religions, and international politics. Much of the changes that have happened originated from diverse ways of thinking especially when it comes to religion and culture. Conflicts that occur in the Middle East such as Israel, Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and Afghanistan have monumental effects on the global economy predominately due to the massive oil industry in the region and competition between outside nations trying to expand influence. ... There were attempts by the Arabs and form independent states but were unsuccessful because they lacked military and economic power to break free from European control. • 5. Analysis Of Herman Melville s Typee In much of what we identify with in our everyday lives has to do with the relationships we have with one another. These relationships are ultimately embedded into our memory for basically the rest of our lives, and with some shape or form, shape us to who we are today. These relations, similarly have to do with faces, actions and personal experiences that we have never been exposed to before. This type of exposure is apparent in Herman Melville s Typee, where identity is of critical importance to that of Tommo, the narrator, along with the tribe that he encounters while stranded on the island. There are numerous instance as to where Tommo questions his moral and somewhat physical identity in Typee. These events such as Tommos decision to tattoo himself is a major identity crisis because it s not something he, nor his Western culture is really exposed to or familiar with. The Typee practices and societal structures displayed by Melville in Typee allows the reader in some case, to compare and contrast how Western civilization and the other [Typee] reaffirm identity. In a sense Tommo and his decision, by the end of the novel, really allows the reader to understand what creates and helps maintain identity for ones self. Melville, in the beginning, introduces Tommo as an individual that prefers to be unidentified or wants to be invisible to others, but wants to be someone whom takes pleasure in the observation of others. Once projects are prioritized and those priorities are reviewed and discussed, the department can evaluate the results to determine funding and resource allocation for the higher priority projects. A final step involves assessing how and when (or if) to fund the lower priority projects in the future if/when more resources become available. Creating and using a prioritization matrix involves five simple steps: 1. Determine your criteria and rating scale. There are two components involved in rating the projects on your ¡§to do¡¨ list: criteria for assessing importance, and a rating scale. The first step is to determine the factors you will use to assess the importance of each project. Choose factors that will clearly differentiate important from unimportant projects ¡V these are your criteria. A group of 6 12 criteria is typical. Example criteria might include whether or not the project is a mandate, the value it brings to the customer, etc. Then, for each of your criteria, establish a rating scale to use in assessing how well a particular project satisfies that criteria. To ensure consistent use of the rating scale, provide some details to define how the criteria should be applied. The distribution of these virulence genes was investigated in Streptococcus agalactiae samples recovered from neonates who had experienced an invasive disease and samples recovered from the vaginas of women who naturally have this organism as a commensal. The bacterial capsule which includes serotype specific antibodies has a critical role to play in the virulence of this organism (Smith et al, 2006). The other virulence factors include; The BCA gene which encodes for the alpha C protein, which is a virulence factor on the surface of Streptococcus agalactiae. (Foxman et al, 2007). The RIB gene which expresses a surface protein called RIB which is found in Streptococcus agalactiae strains isolated from infections caused by the pathogen (Cabezon et al, 1996). . This protein confers protective immunity, which classifies this protein as a virulence gene. It is expressed by most strains causing life threatening infection, including almost all strains of serotype III (Cabezon et al, 1996). Objective/Aim of the Study As Zurawski (2005) explains, an organization s network status and the speed at which they need the IPV4 transition to IPV6 greatly determine the selection of the transition method, the dual stack method, tunneling method or any available option. This paper seeks to explore how the transition methods; the dual stack method and tunneling method works. Businesses with small network devices and bleeding edge technology can promulgate to IPV6 faster compared to businesses with large network devices. Large companies usually have many and large network devices, leading to slow Ipv4 to IPV6 transition process (Jonas, Rai, Tchuente 2013). Following the multiple benefits resulting from IPV6, it is therefore, important that network practitioners should seek expertise in IPV6 quickly in order to meet ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Senate s failure to ratify the Treaty of Versailles in 1919 shows this idea, due to the feud between President Woodrow Wilson and the Internationalists, and Henry Cabot Lodge and the Reservationists. The Internationalists fully supported the passing of the Treaty of Versailles, whereas the Reservationists believed it was necessary to change the Treaty, specifically Article Ten. Similarly, Borah and the Irreconcilables believed that the League of Nations was in conflict with one of the ideals the nation was founded on; to not engage in foreign entanglements. The Republicans resisted the Treaty because they believed that if it were to be ratified, Wilson s prestige would soar and he might even be re elected for a third time (Bailey, 184). Thus, the Republican Party was against the Treaty of Versailles in its original form out of fear. Wilson fully believed that the Treaty was going to bring world peace, and regardless of this belief, the Republican Party voted against it because of who came up with it. Wilson fought greatly for it and said that if the Treaty failed that he would gather all the soldiers who fought in World War One and tell them I told you before you went across the seas that this was a war against wars and I did my best to fulfill the promise, but I am obliged to come to you in mortifications and shame and say I have not been able to fulfill the promise, (Wilson). Wilson was willing to take blame for the hypothetical failure of the Treaty of Versailles and the Republicans still voted against it because they did not want Wilson s popularity to go up. Wilson believed so strongly in Article Ten that he believed that the League of Nations would justify the United States honor and bring peace to the world (Wilson). The belief that the Republican Party did not ratify the Treaty because they did not want to risk another Wilson presidency is absurd. This idea perpetuates the idea that if one person, in a position of power, strongly believes in something, then it must good. One can apply this idea to how strongly Wilson believed in the Treaty of Versailles, yet it was not enough to convince the Senate that the League of Nations Collective Security Covenant was a good idea. It was not the Republican Party s fear of a third term of Wilson that caused the death of the Treaty, but Wilson himself. The belief that if ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The categorizing of slaves on American Plantations is often overlooked, but there were in fact many levels of slave classes. The Union forces were able to make great gains in the western campaign by taking and controlling the major water ways, allowing the ability to swiftly maneuver their forces and supplies around the battle field; in turn extensible cutting off the Confederacy. This was accomplished through three key facts: a far superior ship building capability then the Confederates, understanding the importance of controlling the major river networks, and the effective employment of combined operations to achieve success. These three items allowed the Union to quickly gain a foothold and then spread control over the three major rivers in the area: the Mississippi, Cumberland, and the Tennessee Rivers. At the onset of the war, both sides struggled with combat capable ships. The Union though, was able to establish a much stronger production capability than the Confederates, who lacked materials and secure locations to build. The Union quickly set into production a new class of fighting ships, which would be called the City Classers. The Romantic period, a time that writers such as Wordsworth and Shelley focused their writing in the centre of life and social importance. An important aspect of Romanticism: its emphasis upon the power and terrors of the inner imaginative life (Watson, 2012, p. 1). The Prelude celebrates Wordsworth s life retained through memories and with the act of remembering, depicting emotions and experiences. Whereas, Shelley and the Ode to the West Wind engaged his audience with inner and outer lives situations, ideas and elements of nature that represent his own position and ideas. This essay will compare and contrast Wordsworth recollections and Shelley dramatizations of the powers and terrors of the inner imaginative life . Also considering, rhyme scheme, stanza forms, the reasons for the use of assonance and alliteration, and other poetic techniques. Finally, how do these effects relate to the main question. When given consideration to the poems, the descriptions demonstrated a deeper power of inner imaginative life. The power as stated comes from the heart or the soul, but also somehow from outside (The Open University, 2012, Romantic authorship, transcript p. 1). As discussed below, Dodd Frank seeks to address the highly sensitive and controversial notion that Wall Street banks have been designated by the Federal Reserve as too big to fail. In fact, during the most severe moments of the crisis, the voices of free market proponents could be heard advocating that these troubled big banks, suffering massive losses due to their own bad bets, and if weakened to the point of failure, should be allowed to fail. Hindsight shows that allowing just one to fail, Lehman Brothers, had serious and lasting detrimental effect on the US and global financial system and markets. Had Lehman been saved, it would have been the most effective agent to unwind all of the transactions and trades to which it was a party, and likely in a rapid manner. However, being thrust into bankruptcy, and thereafter receivers were appointed to unwind the business, took months upon months and vast resources to settle Lehman accounts. Had Citibank, Bank of America, Bear Stearns, or AIG been allowed to fail, it may have been possible that the US financial system would have melted down completely. The Projetion of the Perfection Paradox The Projection of the Perfection Paradox In René Descartes s Discourse on Method, seeking the true method for arriving at knowledge (p. 10) is the goal in which he states in the beginning of discourse. With that end in mind, by analyzing proofs that Descartes finds it can be seen if this was achieved. The proof that God exist is a defining moment in the discourse since God is continually referenced for origin of true knowledge. The reference to God does not only set the stage for further proofs on knowledge, but as the original truth, all of what Descartes finds real can be related back to God. This idea will be key in order to keep the excising of the method going when Descartes falls stagnant when relating to the external world (p. 19). Nevertheless, his two proofs of the existence of God affect the entire discourse either logical or structurally. His reasoning for the both proofs is in someway exposed to either an assumption or a logical mistake. While the need for two proofs reflects negatively on the way the theme is structured through out the entire discourse. Inherently, the way these issue are dealt with will show the proficiency of Descartes s method. One of my critiques of the research has to do with their method of using surveys and questionnaires, because both methods can result in recall bias, where participants either lie about a response on purpose or due to lack of memory, which can skew the results. The question of whether foods derived from such organisms should be approved for human consumption is what has raised widespread controversy among many circles. One of the biggest misconceptions for RJA personally is the assumption that other people make when they meet him that because he is black he cannot be Puerto Rican. There are millions of Afro Latinos throughout Latin American and the United States and he objects to them not being treated as such and considered different from other Latinos. He stated that many Puerto Ricans in the United States downplay or deny the African root of their culture and it is very disheartening to him. RJA has experienced racism in many ways himself and it was interesting to hear him say that he has been discriminated against by African Americans when they find out I am actually Hispanic, and by Hispanics who initially think I am African American. He finds it strange and sad that several white Americans he has encountered somehow feel more comfortable around him and open up about controversial topics related to race when they find out he s not African American. He quotes the words of Jose Marti, a Cuban patriot, who used to say with regards to his fellow Cuban countrymen: More than white, more than black: we are Cubans . As such, the transmission of nerve signals does not occur as efficiently as it should. The myelin sheath gets disintegrated due to an autoimmune disease, where the immune system attacks its own tissue rather than foreign tissue. Research conducted shows that there is a correlation between multiple sclerosis and people s geographical location. People who live closer to the equator are less likely to get multiple sclerosis, whereas people who live further away from the equator have a greater chance of getting it. One reason for this explanation is that sunlight is rich in Vitamin D and there is more sunlight near the equator, compared to areas further away from the equator. As a result, lack of Vitamin D may be responsible for the onset of multiple sclerosis. If a person is deficient in Vitamin D, they may have a greater chance of getting this disease. • 41. Preoperative Anesthesia, Pharmacotherapy And Mirror Therapy Preoperative anesthesia, pharmacotherapy and mirror therapy have been the most popular and widely used treatment therapies for patients with PLP, but there are many more therapies emerging from studies have shown promising results. One such treatment therapy is eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). In a clinical study done by de Roos et al. (2010), ten participants with leg amputations (one participant had both legs amputated) who experienced PLP which ranged from, aching, squeezing, cramping, shooting, burning, stinging, and stabbing pain, to be treated using EMDR (de Roos et al., 2010, p. 66). De Roos et al. theorized that: Painful conditions, such as PLP, may be the result of inappropriately stored of chronically ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... According to the EMDR Institute, Inc., EMDR therapy consists of: Eye movements (or other bilateral stimulation) are used during one part of the session. After the clinician has determined which memory to target first, he asks the client to hold different aspects of that event or thought in mind and to use his eyes to track the therapist s hand as it moves back and forth across the client s field of vision. As this happens, for reasons believed by a Harvard researcher to be connected with the biological mechanisms involved in Rapid Eye Movement (REM) sleep, internal associations arise and the clients begin to process the memory and disturbing feelings. In successful EMDR therapy, the meaning of painful events is transformed on an emotional level ( What is EMDR? 2017). At the completion of the study, de Roos et al. reported that of the nine participants that completed the treatment, four participants reported a decrease in pain intensity, four participants reported being pain free, and one participant reported no improvement in pain, with an overall significant decrease in mean pain scores compared to before the treatment (P=0.00) (de Roos et al., 2010, p. 68). A long term follow up was completed at an average of 2.8 years since treatment completion in which six of the nine participants reported a further reduction in pain and were pain free, two participants pain level was the same since completion of the treatment, one participant had an ...
