Story The Thing in the Forest, there is plenty of symbolism in this short story. The whole story is
essentially a symbol. There are plenty of objects in this story that have a very different meaning,
referencing to the time period in the piece of literature. In The Thing in the Forest there is a great deal
of symbolism. For example the whole story is a symbol for the war going on at that time, WWII. In
