This document discusses Virgin Media's use of mobile ticketing (mTicketing) to provide access to an exclusive festival area called "Our Garden" at the V Festival. Virgin identified customers attending the festival and invited them to register for mTickets via text message or a mobile website. The mTicketing system had higher redemption rates than paper tickets and allowed Virgin to provide additional content to customers through their phones. Surveys found customers felt warmer to the Virgin brand and that the mTicketing process was easy to use.
