Wireless energy meter monitoring with automated tariff calculationUdayalakshmi JK
Electricity billing has become a difficult task. The board has to make regular visit to the consumers house to make the reading. Also it can cause manual error. Now here we are monitoring the energy meter with modern techniques. The total energy consumed by the consumer and the consumption cost is known to the consumer and to the board by means of a hand held device.

Design of Low Power High Speed 4-Bit TIQ Based CMOS Flash ADCAman JanGra
The analog-to-digital converter (ADC) is an essential part of systemon-
chip (SoC) products because it bridges the gap between the analog physical
world and the digital logical world. In the digital domain, low power and low
voltage requirements are becoming more important issues as the channel length
of MOSFET shrinks below 0.25 sub-micron values. SoC trends force ADCs to
be integrated on the chip with other digital circuits. These trends present new
challenges in ADC circuit design. This paper investigates high speed, low
power, and low voltage CMOS flash ADCs for SoC applications.

ARM Based Handy and Portable Oscilloscope Using Graphical DisplayIJERA Editor
The need to have a visual perception of signals in order to monitor events in time and value brought about the
development of a measuring instrument referred to as oscilloscope. This is a design of handy and low cost
oscilloscope. The user can start/stop the display, adjust the time division and adjust the voltage division. The
requirements of the oscilloscope were three-fold: 1) low cost design, 2) capture frequencies at the medium range
and 3) construct able with a basic skill of PCB designing.

A Smart Handheld Measuring and Testing Electronic Device with Touch ScreenIJTET Journal
Hand in hand instrument replaces the old traditional way of measuring and testing in colleges and helps in easy way of understanding theoretical concepts based on practical knowledge. As there occurs shortage of instruments, long duration of calculation, large occupation of space, low accuracy, inconvenience come about in completing the work. A single Smart device which is a multipurpose handheld instrument overcomes the above difficulties and helps in measuring voltage, current, resistance, frequency, temperature, speed, sound and to observe waveforms for engineering students in the laboratories. In a single ARM Cortex M3 microcontroller all measurements are done and displayed within a fraction of time in the TFT graphical LCD display. The data and waveforms from oscilloscope can be saved and retrieved for future analyzing purpose which is done using a Micro SD memory card. The device is fully operated with touch screen and touch buttons. The device works with help of LPC1313, a powerful 32-bit ARM Cortex-M3 microcontroller from NXP Semiconductors.

Ijeee 33-36-surveillance system for coal mines based on wireless sensor networkKumar Goud
Abstract: The foremost critical task for coal mine is of keeping track of miners spread out across a large mining areas .It becomes even difficult when mine tunnels collapse. Many mines use a radio system to track miners, but when a collapse occurs, the base stations connected by a thin wire often are rendered useless. In this project to overcome the demerits of radio system we used wireless technology for tracking the miners. For this purpose a small RF transmitter module is equipped to each person entering a mine. Each transceiver placed in the mine look after the location of miners. The transceivers communicate with base stations through Zigbee module. In addition of tracking the location of miners we also include sensors such as temperature & humidity to intimate the base station & miners when some atmosphere changes occur. Mine operators are now able to monitor the real-time locations of each miner to better pinpoint their locations in the event of an emergency. Even after a full-day of use, mine operators can locate an individual miner within ten feet.
