Email notifications: Goal

to understand how interruptions caused by

ongoing tasks and to contrast this with task
focus if notifications are turned off.
Email notifications RQs

Interorganizational

Video-Communication & Closeness
We wish however, to delve deeper to
explore what it might mean for one to “feel
closer” to somebody via video, through what
practices this is achieved and what forms this
closeness takes. We wish to understand
  aspects of “closeness” in video
communication such that we might, derive
ways of refining and improving upon the
current VMC experience, but also potentially,
to open up avenues of exploration for new
  forms of communications technology.
Making Love: Families & video chat

a family as a whole, including the remote
relatives on the other end of the line.
Tabletop Family Archive

One goal of our research program in the
family archiving space is to design and build
a family archiving device, or set of devices,
based on a deep understanding of current
archiving practices in the home, and through
a series of deployments in real households.
Tabletop Family Archive

In this paper, however, our focus is on family
practices, and how a device which offers
novel and open interaction possibilities can
 highlight, disrupt, change, or otherwise
 impact existing practices.
Collaborative Info

seeking practices of healthcare providers in a
hospital Emergency Department (ED) in order
to gain a conceptual understanding of
collaborative sensemaking.
