Radio advert analysis
1. Radio Advert analysis
Nando’s
Firstly we listened to Nando’s Advert that included voice that was used in the
advert was a man, who sounded Portuguese, with music that was used was
almost like mariachi music to go with the accent. The style of the radio advert
was almost humorous to get on your funny side. Their main message was to
get people too got to Nando’s and it is ok, which is what the man tagline says a
numerous amount of times. They also explained about all of their foods that
they had to offer.
The tone of the language was used was same as the style of the advert which
was informal so that the advert seemed to be for all ages not just adult, the
company name was mentioned a few times to remind you what the advert was
actually for because if you didn’t know it was Nando’s could have been talking
about some other product such as KFC. There was no contact details in the
advert because I don’t think it would of suited the advert and I understood that
the only thing I needed to know was that the place was Nando’s because I
could google Nando’s and find more about it via the internet.
The main purpose of the advert was to describe their foods and tell you to
come and have Nando’s because “it’s ok”.
Then final point I have to make it what I think of it, it was alright it had good
voices to make it relevant to the music and the food and they don’t mention
about target audience, it could have done with adding details so that people
could know how they could contact them.
Wonga
The style of the advert makes it sound catchy and makes you get it stuck in
your head, the song sounded it was from the chordettes, the song is sandman,
it is very similar only different is Wonga but their own twist to it. Their
message was to get people to take out a loan, there is a numerous amount of
voices. firstly there is the main singer… singing the song about Wonga loans
and then there are the backup singers who just say a numerous amount of
2. “Wonga”. Then finally there is the women who speaking about the loan, so
where you can get one.
The tone of it is very cheerful so when a customer is looking for a reliable loan
if the advert sounds cheerful, you may get attracted to it because it’s relaxing
and not stressful. They mention that they have a website link. The company
name was mentioned quite a lot over 40 times.
The music that was played was soothing music to go well with the lyrics of the
advert. The advert was good because it was catchy and it was well put
together also I could tell that the purpose of the advert was to get people to
apply for their loans.
Budweiser
You could say this advert could be humorous because there is a man talking
about how men work hard and they need a fresh beverage to relax with, some
men may find it offense because some men don’t do the stuff that was
mentioned in the advert… kind of describes a manly man and he sounds like
one too. The music could be as army recruit music so, when they use
propaganda to sing up soldiers. They mention the product a couple of times to
make sure you know what you should buy.
They don’t mention any contact details. it may not have suited the style of the
advert. The main purpose of the advert was to get you to buy a drink because
you earn it after a hard day’s work.
The advert was good because it reminded me of war but also it is well suited all
through at the advert, if I was legal to drink, I’d love to go buy a Budweiser
because it was very eye catching.
