1. We used Wikipedia because we wanted to gain understanding of the song, why it was written, and what were
the intensions of the song. This helped us because we had a clear idea of what audience we wanted and how
we would portray the song to carry some meaning just like the original.
2. We used YouTube to watch the video and to draw out information, for example we found out that the video is
very popular as it received many views and many likes which shows that it received positive feed back from
the public.
3. MTV is a very popular we used the website to find out how successful the song was. We found pinks official top 20
hits, and we discovered that ‘who knew’ came at number 5. This research helped us as we knew that the song was
marketed well to reach top 5 and it had a large audience.
4. We felt that researching the lyrics of the song was important because it would be useful for the main singer lip-
syncing to the song. We also felt that we needed to used the lyrics as a basis for our music video, so we could link
some of the words from the lyrics and portray them into the music video. For example when it says ‘I wish I could
touch you again’ we have a scene that shows a couple researching each other to hold hands.
5. We researched pink her self, we looked at her different hair colours, her dress sense and her make up. We found that
she was always changing her style this is possibly because of branding and marketing. She needed different styles
due to her ‘Pop Rock’ brand image.
