Radio advert analysis
1. Radio Advert Analysis
The advert that I’m analysing is the Nando’s” It’s okay”.
The style of the advert is humorous in my opinion because of the voice doing the narration and the
small anecdotes included. The overall message of the advert is that Nando’s is for everyone’s taste. I
deducted this because of all the jobs that are listed in the advert. The voice of the narrator was of a
middle aged male portages’ man. His tone was conversational, like he was telling someone a story in
a comedic manner.
The slogan of the advert would defiantly be “Its Okay”, which is repeatedly said over and over again,
I think the effect that the advert was supposed to give is that when some one hears about Nando’s
or see’s it they’ll think of the words “It’s Okay”. The actual name of the restaurant being advertised
is only mentioned 3 times during the advert.
There were no contact details given out during the advert or after it, this is because Nando’s has
restaurants in a lot of places and there wasn’t enough time to name them all and there is people
from all around he country listening to the advert so they can’t specify just one particular location.
The music in the background is Mariachi style, one of the main instruments that played the advert
in and out was a guitar. I think they had this style of music to make Nando’s seem traditional but
in my opinion it made it seem more stereotypical. I would say the main purpose of the advert is to
promote the restaurant and produce more store recognition.
I feel that the advert wasn’t that good, because it came of more annoying than funny and seemed
repetitive, epically if people here more than once it will become agitating in my opinion.
