The document appears to be a survey conducted to gather information about potential readers of a proposed hip-hop magazine. It asks respondents questions about their interest in hip-hop music and magazines, demographic information, and preferences within the hip-hop genre. The results show most potential readers are younger, listen to hip-hop regularly, and enjoy modern artists like Drake. This information will help the magazine creator design a publication targeted towards these hip-hop fans.
This is my target audience questionnaire analysis. I asked ten students to participate in answering 11 questions for my questionnaire. I did this so i could find out what i could put on my music magazine, that would appeal to my target audience.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.
2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

Conclusions
Q1) For the firstquestion, my main aim was to try and gather people's interest
in hip-hop and see if there were definitely enough people that liked the genre.
I was also trying to learn whether my audience read any music magazines
anyway becauseif they don't read music magazines then they won'tpick up
my magazine. Overall, 6 people said yes and 4 said no. This finalises my genre
for my magazineas it gives me the confidence of sticking to my preferred
genre in the firstplace. Italso means in someways that I can explore different
ventures within hip-hop as it is such a diversegenre
Q2) For the second question, I asked if they had a part time job. The main idea
behind this question was that even though I didn't ask a question aboutthe
price of the magazine, it would hopefully give me an idea because if they have
a disposableincome, they may be able to pick up my magazine moreoften as
they have the sourceof money. The resultturned out that 3 said yes and 7 said
6. Sam Bethune
no. Onething that went wrong I believe is that I didn't put in a question about
price as that would'vegiven me a broader view on what my price could be.
Although, this won't really affect my target audience that much as there won't
be a huge difference in price plus the price doesn'treally affect much anyway.
Q3) The reason I asked the question aboutthe name of the magazinewas to
get another opinion apart fromthe focus group. The overallresult was that 8
said yes and 2 said no. In terms of representation, this name will definitely be
the name that will representthe magazine. Italso means that it again finalises
the hip-hop genre as I believe it is a suitable name for this type of genre
anyway.
Q4) For the fourth question, the reason why I asked aboutthe age of the
people as age can define a lot of things about the genre of the magazine. In
terms of hip-hop, generally, it has quite a young audience and overall, all the
people I asked ticked the 16-18 box. In terms of target audience, this links with
the prediction I made as I predicted my audience to be quite young. Although, I
believe that maybe I should'veasked a wider rangeof ages which was a
problem anyway as I was limited to only asking students in college.
Q5) Question 5 was a question about ethnicity. Ethnicity plays a very big part in
target audience as the hip-hop industry is predominantly controlled by the
black culture and in terms of the results, 4 people wereWhite-British and 6
people said they were Afro-Caribbean. Even though black culture had the most
results, I could possibly subvertthis stereotype by putting a white hip-hop
artist in my magazinewhich would make my magazine different fromthe
others which would again change my target audience.
Q6) This question was based on Gender which is a lot like the ethnicity
question as it is quite commonly asked. The main aim of this question was to
gather if women would read hip-hop magazines as well as men as there are
now popular women's artists like Nicky Minaj who are very popular in the hip-
hop world. The result was that there were 8 males and 2 females. This changes
my target audience a little bit but not a lot as I aimed the questionnaire both at
men and women and I was hoping to again subvertthe stereotype of men
dominating this industry butclearly this may not happen although, I could still
change this if I wanted to.
7. Sam Bethune
Q7) One of the main questions that was asked was whether my audience
actually listened to hip-hop music and the artists that the liked. This question
was something that definitely needed to be asked as it would determine the
areas that surround thetarget audience. The conclusion of the results were
that 7 said yes and 3 said no. I also got them to list someof their favourite hip-
hop artists. Oneof the mostpopular artists was Drakewhich will link with the
magazine and the articles I wantto write and who I wantto write about. These
results are also very usefulas they give me a good overview on what they think
about hip-hop.
Q8) Similar to the hip-hop question I asked as it links in with genre and what
my possibletarget audience think about it. Also, by asking about how many
times they listen to hip-hop, it also gives me an idea of the knowledgethey
have of hip-hop and there actual interest in the hip-hop genre. The final result
was that 3 said they don't read any hip-hop magazines, 2 said 1-2 days and five
said 7+ days. This again links with genre and target audience due to the fact
hip-hop is quite a popular genre which is positive as it means that people will
be encouraged to read the magazine.
Q9) Question 9 may seem like an odd question to somepeople but the
reasoning behind this question is that it can hopefully help me with the
development of the magazineand give me ideas for information I could add to
the magazinethat my target audience may want. The result of this question
was that 5 said yes and 5 said no. One thing I maybe should'vedone differently
is ask a wider variety of people of all ages, genders and ethnicities. This doesn't
really mean anything in terms of anything else except the magazine as it is a
formof information and research that can help the creation of the magazine.
Q10) This is the penultimate question of the questionnaireand questioned the
audiences thoughts about whatattracted them to music magazines. This was
also a key part of research is it meant that it would give me an idea of whereto
place my focus on the magazine. The results were that 3 people went with the
articles, 3 people went with the covermounts and 4 people wentwith the
artists/groups on the frontcover. These results were quite even which I
expected in some ways as there are so many different magazines that have
different elements aboutthem which attract people but, considering there was
quite a favourableamountof people that said 'Yes' to question 7, I felt like the
8. Sam Bethune
artists/groups on the frontcover was the mostlikely answer anyway as there
artists are symbols, idyllic figures for the hip-hop genre which are easily
identifiable to the public and my target audience.
Q11) My final question I asked was whattypes of hip-hop my audience listened
to. I asked this question becauseas well as hip-hop being the main genre,
there are many other sub-genres thatsurround itwhich I quite heavily listened
to as well. The result of this question was that 3 said Grime, 4 said Modern hip-
hop and 3 said Old school hip-hop. This is very useful information as someof
the sub-genres allow me to specify certain things in my hip-hop magazine.
Considering these results, it may mean that I will have to make my magazine
based slightly more on Modern hip-hop but will use elements of Grime and Old
schoolhip-hop in my magazine.
