Salah distributed questionnaires to 20 people, mostly teenagers, about their music preferences and magazine reading habits. The results showed:
- Most respondents were 15-17 years old and interested in hip hop music.
- The majority read music magazines once a week and enjoyed hip hop genres.
- Competitions and photo shoots were the most popular things respondents wanted to see in a hip hop magazine.
- Upcoming gig information and interviews were equally popular magazine content.
- Red and black were the preferred magazine colors to appeal to audiences.
