After doing research on crime drama films I have noticed which are the popular film
institutions that have come up a lot for crime drama and has been associated with
that genre is paramount pictures, I think that paramount pictures would help
distribute our film. Paramount pictures is a globalised well known institution
company. In the 1960’s when Psycho had been distributed by paramount pictures
had changed the way the recognisability of paramount pictures. In 1954 Rear
window and Vertigo, both starring Jimmy Stewart, epitomized the psychological
thrillers for which Hitchcock was so famous, and which many have tried
unsuccessfully to mimic over the years.
When the film paranormal activities was released paramount pictures only helped
distribute it, the filmmakers had asked paramount to distribute there film and
paramount distributed it after they had agreed that first the film would have to get 1
million views online and then they will distribute the film. Also the film makers had
already produced the film paramount didn't have to contribute towards production
and if we were to make the film paramount would just have to contribute to the
distribution of the film.
Also because paramount is a well known distribution company this would benefit
our film because people who enjoy films produced and distributed by paramount
would may have a interest in other films they distribute and that could be ours.
Paramount also helps distribute TV crime drama shows such as criminal minds.
