What have you learned from your audience feedback?

Using audience feedback has really helped to improve all three productions so that
they appeal to the target audience precisely. Whist planning our music video we first
begun by asking a general question, including gender, age, genre of music and how
often the audience listen to music to gain an idea on the type of audience we should
aim our video at. Using this information we constructed a more precise questionnaire
about the song lyrics we chosen which was related to our previous questionnaire.
This information would help determine the feel of the video. From including audiences
input this will help increase the popularity of the video making it a well known song
that would very much appeal to its audience and to suit their genre of music. To help
us on who and how we aimed our video at we created a questionnaire on viewing
habits so that the video can be distributed the correct ways where our target audience normally views videos to
aim at a particular audience to create a popular video.
Once I had completed my first draft of my digipak I asked for audience input and feedback asking
particular questions about the various elements on the digipak e.g. the photos used, the font and colour etc and
then asking for suggestions and recommendations. Creating a questionnaire this way you can receive particular
answers about the elements you have used e.g. do you feel the font is the correct style for the digipak? And then
asking for any suggestions which can be taken into consideration and he digipak can then be tailored to the
target audience so it would be more eye – catching and appealing and encouraging them to the purchase it.
My final production was my magazine advert for the digipak. In the questionnaire I constructed it
included the questions; what genre the audience thought was represented? As this
question would be crucial so it would appeal to the correct target audience we aimed
our music video at. And also including questions on the font, colour, layout and
asking the audience for any suggestions. Having the audience to suggesting their
opinions is great because you can tailor you design to their suggestions so that it is
more precisely aimed at the target audience and most definitely appeals to them.
Another form of feedback not from using questionnaires is the teacher’s
feedback, through using our blog the teacher comments on the posts recommending
points and their opinions and I responded accordingly. All feedback had mostly
positive feedback and I wanted to make sure all the productions were to a
professional standard and would appeal to the target audience extremely well so that
they would view the products and like it. Including the audience and having their
input on the productions allows the products to be more specifically aimed at them
appealing to them more, encouraging them to purchase the product and improving the productions immensely.
