In constructing a media product, the author used several technologies including Adobe Photoshop, Blogger, a digital camera, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. Photoshop allowed editing of photos taken with the camera for inclusion in the magazine. Blogger was used to create a blog about the magazine. These technologies helped the author gain new skills and create a more professional magazine than would have otherwise been possible without such software.

In the process of creating my media product I used a
variety of different technologies. these included
- Adobe Photoshop,
Blogger
Microsoft word and PowerPoint,
Digital camera

Photoshop
I used Photoshop for my front cover and Contents page and double page spread
I found Photoshop really easy to use as the tools were very simple but effective.
this because I had used Photoshop once before for my Graphics class for
GCSE. Using the primary source pictures that I had taken with my camera, I
used Adobe Photoshop to edit them and prepared them and prepare them for
my magazine. I used the pen tool where you could cut around people to get
rid of any of the picture background you didn't want. The images could be
then transformed For example you could crop, resize without ruining the
pixilation, change the brightness and contrast, change the colour and crop
images.

I used the camera from my phone to take pictures of people
who it would be featured in my magazine. There were things
that I had to think about when to taking these pictures. I think
about the size of what the picture will be when featured in my
magazine, the angle of a shot and where it will be placed in
my magazine .

6. Blogger
I used blogger to create my blog about my magazine. I found
blogger easy to use however Sometimes I found it hard to
keep on top of but it was easy enough to post from anywhere
this is because I had the app which was available to
download from the apple app store.

7. By using these technologies it helped me
gain new skills. I think without using
professional software's like Photoshop I
would have a less successful in creating a
professional magazine.
