Through creating a media product, the author learned about many technologies involved in print media production. The main new technology learned was Photoshop, which is key for print media creation. Skills with Photoshop grew from no experience to basic proficiency. Other technologies like blogger and slideshare were useful for sharing coursework online, reducing the risk of lost or damaged work. Advanced cameras taught better photo skills like exposure adjustment. Familiar technologies like Word, PowerPoint and Chrome became more efficiently used. A memory stick proved valuable for portable storage and work protection. Technologies allowed an improved final product over non-digital options, but can also be unreliable or make finding correct information difficult.
