This document discusses how a media product represents different social groups. It represents "pretty girls" in school through the image of a teenage girl on the front cover. The pink colors are meant to attract girl girls. It aims to be very mainstream to appeal to everyday girls. In contrast, the contents page has a more edgy black background that could attract girls with different styles who are into indie or hip hop scenes. The double page spread uses urban images that would attract girls interested in R&B, which stereotypically appeals more to working class girls, while the professional layout could also interest high class girls. Overall, it aims to represent a few different social groups.
This study guide is intended to provide those pursuing the CCNA certification with a framework of what concepts need to be studied. This is not a comprehensive document containing all the secrets of the CCNA, nor is it a “braindump” of questions and answers.

girl on the front I feel most
teenage girls would be attracted
to this. In a way this represents
the ‘pretty girls’ at school as i
think this magazine really
represents ‘pretty girly girls’. I
also think the colour really attract
girl girls as the colours are mainly
pink. I feel this magazine is
presented as very mainstream
which mean every day girls would
want to but it. I don’t feel that
males would be interested by this
magazine as it is very obviously
aimed at females.
3. I feel like the front cover this
would definitely attract
teenage girls. Contrastingly to
my front cover my contents
page has a back background
that makes it look very edgy. I
feel this could attract girls of a
different style. Still slightly
mainstream but venturing out
into the indie or hip hop scene.
This would give me a wider
variety of audience. I think
socially my product would
attract middle class girls as
they stereotypically seem to be
interested in celebrities more.
4. I feel the images my images on my double page spread seem very
urban and would attract girls who are into RnB. Stereotypically people
who are into hip hop and RnB are working class. I feel that the layout
of my text is very professional in a way that its very mature and I feel
high class. I feel my double page spread would attract girls who listen
to a few different genres of music and so it would get attetion from a
few different social groups.
