Trace a picture of an animal that look like your pet (Trace from a
pattern provided by the teacher)
2. Presentation
Meeting 1: The class will present the picture after tracing.
Ask: * What animals did you see in the picture?
* Is that your favorite pet?
* How do you call it?
* How does it look?
Tell about-
 Its body covering
 Its color
 Its legs
 Its eyes
 What can it do?
 What is its favorite food?
Work period 1:
Name the animals in the picture.
Color the common animals
Box the picture of your pet.
Meeting 2:
Look at the group of animals in the pictures.
Name the animals. Count the animals.

Procedure
 Divide the class into 2 groups
 Assign each group to words on a chart
 Look for the word that is the same as the underlined word at the first column of
words at the first column of words. Ring it
 The next child will do the same and so on
 The group that finished ahead and with correct answer wins the game.

Look at the pictures
Write in the correct box the number that tells how many.

  • 1. Angelie S. Antonio Psed 7: Science, Health and Nature Study Q4. BRAIN-BASED APPRROACH Lesson Plan in Kinder Garten I- Objectives: At the end of the lesson the pupils should be able to : 1. Identify common animals in the community. 2. Name the animals used as pets 3. Demonstrate the way of caring for animals. II- Subject Matter A. Animals B. Reference: Readiness Skills workbook pp. 285 Preschool Integrated Core Curriculum Worktext pp.165- 171 C. Materials: picture of common animals in the community D. Subject Integration: Science, Filipino, English, Numeracy and Socio- Emotional E. Value Integration: Taking care of animals Cooperation Participation III- Procedure A. Preparatory Activity 1. Prayer 2. Checking of Attendance 3. Sharing Experiences B. Lesson Proper 1. Motivation Trace a picture of an animal that look like your pet (Trace from a pattern provided by the teacher) 2. Presentation Meeting 1: The class will present the picture after tracing. Ask: * What animals did you see in the picture? * Is that your favorite pet? * How do you call it? * How does it look? Tell about-  Its body covering  Its color  Its legs  Its eyes  What can it do?  What is its favorite food?
  • 2. Work period 1: Name the animals in the picture. Color the common animals Box the picture of your pet. Meeting 2: Look at the group of animals in the pictures. Name the animals. Count the animals.
