This lesson plan aims to teach kindergarten students about animal movements through integrated activities. 2. Activities (Groupings)
Each group will be given a picture of animals; they will color it. After coloring they
will go to identify and post it according to their movement. They will count how
many animals they post in each movement.
Each group will perform the movement of the animals assigned to them.
3. Generalization:
Do animals move in different ways? How?
- Animals move in different ways they can crawl, hop, swim, walk and fly.
4. Valuing:
How do we take good care of those animals around us?

2. IV. Evaluation
Directions: Identify the animals by putting O to the animals that can walk, to the
animals that can fly, to the animals that can hop, to the animals that can swim and
to the animals that can crawl.
V. Assignment
Directions: Cut-out pictures of animals that can fly, hop, swim, walk and crawl and paste it
on a long bond paper.

4. 2. How do teacher teach science in preschool learners?
According to Patricia Bentham teaching kindergarten science lessons and a learning
environment full of energy and enthusiasm naturally go together. When teaching kids science
lessons, fill the children’s environment with opportunities to explore, and have materials to
record their observations.
For me as a teacher the mention above is very true. Because one of the practices I used in
teaching science is giving my pupils a chance to explore thing with the cooperative learning. The
proper preparation is the most important thing to consider also because if a teacher is very much
prepared about the lesson or the materials that she/he may going to use in teaching science then
the teacher can give the best experience to the learners and they were able to attain the optimum
learning they want to achieve.
And in teaching science it also important to maintain classroom environment that is
suited to the subject or the topic presented. The classroom must have child friendly displays of
interesting objects for children to experiment.
Indeed the mention above will encourage students to be confident, creative thinkers and
problem solvers.

5. 3. How music is important in teaching science?
Music is known to affect our feelings and energy levels (Brewer, 1995). It can prompt
memories, enhance brain activity and stimulate the mind. In preschool music is a motivation in
teaching science in which it attracts the attention or arouse the interest of the learner’s. It is the
first activity we do in school to maintain their body coordination, to energize and for them to
become focus to the next activity they will have.
Music is a way of knowing according to Howard Gardner (1983). Through music the
learners can learn easily their lesson. They do better in reading and they are able to focus and
control their bodies.
Music has a positive influence on young children’s cognitive skills such as spatial
reasoning and memory. Research also shows that providing children with a rich and stimulating
environment involving all the senses, including the auditory sense, can support children’s healthy
growth and development (Dr.PatriciaVardin)
Musical experiences will provide the students with opportunities for emotional response,
which often encourages the cognitive processes especially in science in science subject (Sarah
Marburg).

Directions: Match the picture by putting the pictures back together the right

7. Smell group
Directions: With the given six edible elements in small containers smell it
while wearing a blindfold. I specifically chose food and spices with strong
aromas. I used a lemon slice, coffee grounds, black pepper, onions, cilantro
and cinnamon.
Sort the elements by things that smell good and things that smell bad.
Sound group
With the given empty bottles and beads make a musical jar. And play it to the
class.
Touch group
Find the hidden object in the sand and count the items in the sand using your
sense of feeling.
Taste group
With the Set up bite-sized pieces of several foods, eat it and try to find
things that have different tastes such as salty, sweet, sour, and bitter.
