INTRODUCTION TO CURRENT CITY MANAGEMENT
SYSTEMS
•The city based Corporation should decided to push for a garbage collection and
disposal system similar to the one being implemented in US cities of Philadelphia and
Portland. The move is aimed at ensuring effective garbage disposal, reducing the
load on landfill sites and causing less harm to the environment.
•PCMC Commissioner Dr Shrikar Pardeshi, who last week returned from the US after
a 52-day training program, said he was impressed by the garbage disposal system
that had been put in place in the two US cities. "We cannot exactly implement the
same model. But we can borrow points from them to make our existing system more
effective," he said. Pimpri-Chinchwad, which has a population of around 18 lakh,
generates 700 metric ton of garbage daily. The civic chief said the two cities have a
system that relies heavily on segregating garbage at the source and then recycles
them. "Segregation at source goes a long way in deciding on recycling, non-recycling
and compostable waste," he said.
•"These cities generate a lot of waste but their system is effective as they recycle the
generated waste. Most of the waste goes in making tissue papers and plastic cups.
What I noticed was the use of tissue papers which was very extensive in these two
cities. They use tissue papers for various purposes and it is made out of garbage," he
said. In effect, he said, garbage has become a good source of revenue generation in
the US. "Waste if effectively handled helps to reduce the load on environment and
landfill sites."
•Lamenting that there was poor awareness about segregation of garbage at source in
Pimpri-Chinchwad, Dr Pardeshi said, "This would be accorded top priority henceforth
in the town. We will lay emphasis on creating awareness about segregation of
garbage at source. Once dry and solid waste segregation is tackled effectively, it will
help us in recycling the rest of the waste. It will also help the civic body in generating
revenue," he said.

GREEN BUILDINGS ELECTRICITY
PRODUCTIONS
•Electricity is produced by three source of electric current :
• Photovoltaic cells
• Hydrogen fuel cells
• Wind mill
• Electricity produced is sufficient for building as well as for surrounding area
appliances.
• Electricity sharing with other buildings can be done by these sources.
• Electricity loss can be prevented through this project.
• Electricity production is owned by building itself in one time investment .
• It is much cost effective and eco-friendly without 0% carbon emission for
producing electricity .
GREEN BUILDING DISPOSAL SYSTEM
•Each flat has separate inlets for disposing waste materials.
•Waste material is collected in outer tanks through separate outlets in under
grounds tanks .
•Natural waste is collected in bio-gas tank for production of methane gas
used in society for cooking food.
•Waste from bio-gas plant is used for manure in poly houses for farming
purpose .
•Other tank collects non-biodegradable material for recycling .
•Through this project waste is managed efficiently for resource production .
•Each flat in building is self sufficient
•It is completely eco-friendly and cost effective management system for
waste disposal.
EXTRA FEATURES OF BUILDING AND SURROUNDING
AREA
•If another green building system fails due shortage of power supply then
power sharing can be done between two buildings .
•Each building in society and in city is connected to cloud computing network
for efficient communication and management for government and people.
•Instant internet access public place such as garden ,play-grounds etc.
•Public transport system , traffic control system ,vehicles based computing
system ,etc can accessed in few seconds of time .
•Vehicles breaking traffic law can be tracked on time.
•Communication system will be 100 times faster than seen in today's world.
• Communication system network will be owned by government entire cloud
server will be owned by government agency .
•Government can keep track on number infrastructure ,vehicles ,people etc.
in particular city .
•Census can be easily counted .
•Each citizen will have its own cloud online storage .government can manage
all its documentation through cloud computing .
•City will be controlled and managed through cloud computing for efficient
management.

MULTI-WATER HARVESTING SYSTEM:
•It consist of water harvesting system and storm water management system.
•rain-water from the roofs of buildings is connected with pvc pipe to underground water
tanks .this water is which is stored in tank used for daily use by building .
•Water circulation is done by water pumps. Storm water from road is collected in second
tank.Tank has upper valve for water overflow, once water is filled in tank valve closes and
mixing of water is prevented through this process. Storm water collected in tank is released
in ground.
•When roads are flooded with heavy rain water then water is drained in second tank by the
sloping drainage system on either side of road.
•Rain water collected from roof as well as from road is collected in separate tanks and it is
efficiently used for managing water supply throughout the year.
•Multi-water harvesting system can be constructed on all buildings in cities .common water
storage can also be carried out through city.
•Water from tank is used for farming in poly houses that is for production of food.Water
from tanks is used for cooling system inside the building.
STORM WATER HARVESTING SYSTEM
MULTI-WATER HARVESTING SYSTEM:
MULTI-WATER HARVESTING SYSTEM:
WASTE SEGREGATING SYSTEM:
•Based on the survey done by the participants of young India fromVNEMS, we had
conclusion that every house has at an average two dustbin. People do not segregate
waste .PCMC generates tones of waste daily from various sources. According to the
survey if waste is segregated at source it will be easy for people as well as for people to
manage their waste produced by themselves.
•Instead of this the garbage should be disposed in the complex only. Every society
should have a biogas plant in which the domestic waste or bio-degradable waste can
be converted into manure used for preparation of methane gas can be used for cooking
purpose instead of cng. This gas can be used to run generator which can power street
light, electric motor, electric pumps. The best method for this that waste disposal
system must be one’s complex only. The non biodegradable should be sent for
recycling.
•7 bin system:
•E.g.: 7 bins should be there according to the 7 days. the degradable waste should be
collected or each day should be done .
TRANSPORTATION
•Vision 2030 PCMC
•I have conducted a survey on transport and communication and it came to our
notice Families containing 4 members roughly have 2-3 vehicles but some
families exceed the limit .Also the families containing 5 members or more also
exceed the limit of owning 2-3 vehicles which is harmful to the environment.
This is because our vehicles use the oxygen from the atmosphere to burn the
fuels and emit a large amount of carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide etc in the
atmosphere polluting it.
•So we suggest to maximize the use of public transport instead of private
vehicles. So in 2030 the public transport should be interconnected to cities and
villages. All the busses should be at regular intervals. For example, in Mumbai
people use more public transport than private transport. So by taking the
example of Mumbai we should develop public transport like Metro, local trains
and busses by 2030.We should start BRTS service in major cities of India by 2030.
Flyovers, underground roads, implementation of airways should develop in in
city by 2030. Major cities in India should be connected to PCMC by airways.
There should be separate roads only for buses on each road connecting the
smallest town in indian city. Buses should be running on CNG or other
alternative gasses or introducing solar panels on the buses to store solar energy
absorbed during bright sunlight in a battery and use that energy to run the buses.
India gets a lot of solar energy and so we suggest to make the appropriate use of
solar energy as required.

Project ideal city 2030

  • 1. Advance city management systems -Omkar Rane omkarane@outlook.com raneomkar32@gmail.com
  • 2. INTRODUCTION TO CURRENT CITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS •The city based Corporation should decided to push for a garbage collection and disposal system similar to the one being implemented in US cities of Philadelphia and Portland. The move is aimed at ensuring effective garbage disposal, reducing the load on landfill sites and causing less harm to the environment. •PCMC Commissioner Dr Shrikar Pardeshi, who last week returned from the US after a 52-day training program, said he was impressed by the garbage disposal system that had been put in place in the two US cities. "We cannot exactly implement the same model. But we can borrow points from them to make our existing system more effective," he said. Pimpri-Chinchwad, which has a population of around 18 lakh, generates 700 metric ton of garbage daily. The civic chief said the two cities have a system that relies heavily on segregating garbage at the source and then recycles them. "Segregation at source goes a long way in deciding on recycling, non-recycling and compostable waste," he said.
  • 3. •"These cities generate a lot of waste but their system is effective as they recycle the generated waste. Most of the waste goes in making tissue papers and plastic cups. What I noticed was the use of tissue papers which was very extensive in these two cities. They use tissue papers for various purposes and it is made out of garbage," he said. In effect, he said, garbage has become a good source of revenue generation in the US. "Waste if effectively handled helps to reduce the load on environment and landfill sites." •Lamenting that there was poor awareness about segregation of garbage at source in Pimpri-Chinchwad, Dr Pardeshi said, "This would be accorded top priority henceforth in the town. We will lay emphasis on creating awareness about segregation of garbage at source. Once dry and solid waste segregation is tackled effectively, it will help us in recycling the rest of the waste. It will also help the civic body in generating revenue," he said.

  • 6. WIND MILL AT WORLD TRADE CENTRE
  • 7. GREEN BUILDINGS ELECTRICITY PRODUCTIONS •Electricity is produced by three source of electric current : • Photovoltaic cells • Hydrogen fuel cells • Wind mill • Electricity produced is sufficient for building as well as for surrounding area appliances. • Electricity sharing with other buildings can be done by these sources. • Electricity loss can be prevented through this project. • Electricity production is owned by building itself in one time investment . • It is much cost effective and eco-friendly without 0% carbon emission for producing electricity .
  • 8. GREEN BUILDING DISPOSAL SYSTEM •Each flat has separate inlets for disposing waste materials. •Waste material is collected in outer tanks through separate outlets in under grounds tanks . •Natural waste is collected in bio-gas tank for production of methane gas used in society for cooking food. •Waste from bio-gas plant is used for manure in poly houses for farming purpose . •Other tank collects non-biodegradable material for recycling . •Through this project waste is managed efficiently for resource production . •Each flat in building is self sufficient •It is completely eco-friendly and cost effective management system for waste disposal.
  • 9. EXTRA FEATURES OF BUILDING AND SURROUNDING AREA •If another green building system fails due shortage of power supply then power sharing can be done between two buildings . •Each building in society and in city is connected to cloud computing network for efficient communication and management for government and people. •Instant internet access public place such as garden ,play-grounds etc. •Public transport system , traffic control system ,vehicles based computing system ,etc can accessed in few seconds of time . •Vehicles breaking traffic law can be tracked on time. •Communication system will be 100 times faster than seen in today's world. • Communication system network will be owned by government entire cloud server will be owned by government agency . •Government can keep track on number infrastructure ,vehicles ,people etc. in particular city . •Census can be easily counted . •Each citizen will have its own cloud online storage .government can manage all its documentation through cloud computing . •City will be controlled and managed through cloud computing for efficient management.

  • 13. MULTI-WATER HARVESTING SYSTEM: •It consist of water harvesting system and storm water management system. •rain-water from the roofs of buildings is connected with pvc pipe to underground water tanks .this water is which is stored in tank used for daily use by building . •Water circulation is done by water pumps. Storm water from road is collected in second tank.Tank has upper valve for water overflow, once water is filled in tank valve closes and mixing of water is prevented through this process. Storm water collected in tank is released in ground. •When roads are flooded with heavy rain water then water is drained in second tank by the sloping drainage system on either side of road. •Rain water collected from roof as well as from road is collected in separate tanks and it is efficiently used for managing water supply throughout the year. •Multi-water harvesting system can be constructed on all buildings in cities .common water storage can also be carried out through city. •Water from tank is used for farming in poly houses that is for production of food.Water from tanks is used for cooling system inside the building.
  • 17. WASTE SEGREGATING SYSTEM: •Based on the survey done by the participants of young India fromVNEMS, we had conclusion that every house has at an average two dustbin. People do not segregate waste .PCMC generates tones of waste daily from various sources. According to the survey if waste is segregated at source it will be easy for people as well as for people to manage their waste produced by themselves. •Instead of this the garbage should be disposed in the complex only. Every society should have a biogas plant in which the domestic waste or bio-degradable waste can be converted into manure used for preparation of methane gas can be used for cooking purpose instead of cng. This gas can be used to run generator which can power street light, electric motor, electric pumps. The best method for this that waste disposal system must be one’s complex only. The non biodegradable should be sent for recycling. •7 bin system: •E.g.: 7 bins should be there according to the 7 days. the degradable waste should be collected or each day should be done .
  • 18. TRANSPORTATION •Vision 2030 PCMC •I have conducted a survey on transport and communication and it came to our notice Families containing 4 members roughly have 2-3 vehicles but some families exceed the limit .Also the families containing 5 members or more also exceed the limit of owning 2-3 vehicles which is harmful to the environment. This is because our vehicles use the oxygen from the atmosphere to burn the fuels and emit a large amount of carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide etc in the atmosphere polluting it. •So we suggest to maximize the use of public transport instead of private vehicles. So in 2030 the public transport should be interconnected to cities and villages. All the busses should be at regular intervals. For example, in Mumbai people use more public transport than private transport. So by taking the example of Mumbai we should develop public transport like Metro, local trains and busses by 2030.We should start BRTS service in major cities of India by 2030. Flyovers, underground roads, implementation of airways should develop in in city by 2030. Major cities in India should be connected to PCMC by airways. There should be separate roads only for buses on each road connecting the smallest town in indian city. Buses should be running on CNG or other alternative gasses or introducing solar panels on the buses to store solar energy absorbed during bright sunlight in a battery and use that energy to run the buses. India gets a lot of solar energy and so we suggest to make the appropriate use of solar energy as required.
