● On August 2020 Peshawar
citizen got a very safe project
called BRT for mobility with in
the city
● It has two parts: the first is
east-west corridor have 32
stations.
● The second part consists of
feeder routes for city streets
● It connects all the city major
places.
● All buses are electric hybrid
having dedicated lanes to
avoid congestion.
● Although it took many trees
from the city but still it is
somehow good.
● bicycles facility from the
station.
● Its around 400 bicycles
although cannot be used in
summer but may be after
that.
● People really enjoying it

● Population is increasing due
to Conventional & transient
migration.
● Agriculture lands are taken by
private housing schemes
which is big challenge
● Agriculture land is divided in
to three categories.
● Land which is irrigated &
productive, the second one is
productive but water logged &
land which is productive but
rain fed.
● Good quality land is in 1 & 2
so we can go for the areas in
last one for housing.
● The future plan includes short
term housing, long term &
vertical.
● Industrial zone, city centers &
new roads is also planned.
● In next two decades 1.9 M
more people will be added.

● University road is saturated

● We have many trees planted
again on medians & dedicated
areas under billion tree
tsunami project.
● NGO, universities & companies
contribute in that. The
government helps providing
trees.

industrial units in Peshawar,
of which 509 are operational
and 105 are closed.
● Hayatabad which is safe gated
community has a sector
called industrial sector & it
has 45 industries.
● There are brick kilns also in
some part of the city which is
a problem

In 2000, vegetation has decreased to 6.47%
with respect to 1990 and urban area has
increased to 8
In 2010, urban area is noted to be increased
to 4.98% and 3.50% reduction in
vegetation has been observed with
respect to 2000

is also planned which will
save the agriculture land
● Low cost housing will be
provided for farmers with
small parcel of land for
farming & cattle space.

such areas, development
should not be allowed in
areas where it may block
views or vistas of outstanding
quality.

  • 3. World Health Organization has ranked Peshawar as the second most polluted city across the globe.
  • 4. Peshawar is the capital of the Pakistani province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa It is the sixth-largest city in Pakistan, and the largest Pashtun- majority city in the country. Peshawar

  • 8. Afghan border is 40 km away from west of Peshawar city, a major trade hub called Torkham Border So its like heart of the region & historical significance politically, economically & military point of view.

  • 15. ● With the new housing schemes the city will grow systematically ● Quality of life is enhanced. ● Citizen got the idea of how a planned cities work so it is now easy for the government to work on that Hayatabad roundabout
  • 17. ● On August 2020 Peshawar citizen got a very safe project called BRT for mobility with in the city ● It has two parts: the first is east-west corridor have 32 stations. ● The second part consists of feeder routes for city streets
  • 18. ● It connects all the city major places. ● All buses are electric hybrid having dedicated lanes to avoid congestion. ● Although it took many trees from the city but still it is somehow good.
  • 19. ● bicycles facility from the station. ● Its around 400 bicycles although cannot be used in summer but may be after that. ● People really enjoying it

  • 22. ● Population is increasing due to Conventional & transient migration. ● Agriculture lands are taken by private housing schemes which is big challenge ● Agriculture land is divided in to three categories. ● Land which is irrigated & productive, the second one is productive but water logged & land which is productive but rain fed. ● Good quality land is in 1 & 2 so we can go for the areas in last one for housing.

  • 26. ● We have many trees planted again on medians & dedicated areas under billion tree tsunami project. ● NGO, universities & companies contribute in that. The government helps providing trees.
  • 29. ● There is a total of 612 industrial units in Peshawar, of which 509 are operational and 105 are closed. ● Hayatabad which is safe gated community has a sector called industrial sector & it has 45 industries. ● There are brick kilns also in some part of the city which is a problem
  • 30. waste dust Agri land In 2000, vegetation has decreased to 6.47% with respect to 1990 and urban area has increased to 8 In 2010, urban area is noted to be increased to 4.98% and 3.50% reduction in vegetation has been observed with respect to 2000

  • 34. ● Conserving Areas of High Landscape and Tourism Value ● To conserve natural beauty of such areas, development should not be allowed in areas where it may block views or vistas of outstanding quality. ● Developments near rivers/water bodies and other flood prone areas should be discouraged
