Week 14
Risk Assessment Reflection
Now that we have started our filming I carried out a
reflection on our risk assessment so that for future
filming we will know if we need to carry out the
same control measures and if there are anymore
that need to be carried out to ensure our safety. I
came to the conclusion that our risks were either
accurate or lower than expected so some control
measures may not need to be carried out in any
future filming.
1st Draft
We completed our 1st draft this week. After
reflecting on the draft we know that there are
multiple improvements that need to be created in
future however we are happy with how our opening
is going so far. After completing this we are much
closer to finishing our final product however there is
still a lot more that we need to do to ensure that our
final product is to the best of our ability.
Feedback
After our personal reflection on our draft I also got
some feedback from 4 of my friends who would be
in our target audience who knew nothing about our
opening beforehand. From this we realised a wider
variety of improvements that we may need to make
to ensure that the audience knows and understands
what is going on and also so that the opening has
the desired effect and appears professional and
realistic.
Shot analysis and Comparison
Also this week I analysed a variety of the shots
used in our first draft and how we could improve
these when we refilm. This will help us so that we
can get more done in a shorter space of time when
refilming. I also decided to compare our opening
with The Woman in Black which is of the same
genre to see how representative our film was of the
horror genre.
