She analyzed shots from the first draft to improve upon refilming and compared the opening to another film in the same genre.
Production Diary 11
Naomi's production group worked on planning ideas for their opening scene. They narrowed down their ideas and presented a concept called "Remember Her", but received feedback to change the name to "Porcelain". Naomi also researched horror conventions to ensure their opening establishes the genre properly. The group created a moodboard, word collage, and storyboard to develop the opening's style and shots. They selected locations, did a risk assessment, and planned a shooting schedule around the weather. Overall, the group made progress planning their opening and Naomi is excited to start filming.
Production Diary 6
Naomi Pierce produced a preliminary editing task for a class. She split up tasks with her group to work on music, titles and editing separately since they were new to the software. They kept the music and titles simple but effective for the preliminary task since they were still learning. Completing the preliminary task helped Naomi become more comfortable with editing software and applying techniques like the 180 degree rule and match on action shots. She evaluated her work using class criteria to identify areas to improve and strengths for future tasks.
Art of the title
