U.s. Airlines Open Skies Program And Continuation Of...
CHAPTER I
INTRODUCTION
Background of the Problem
With the introduction of the Open Skies program and the continuation of
globalization, U.S. airlines are facing stiffer competition. As the possibility of cabotage
looms in the future, American passengers may have more opportunities to fly foreign
carriers both at home and abroad. Open Skies operations have commenced on
transatlantic and intra EU routes, meaning that choice of carrier has expanded for U.S.
air travelers abroad. EU authorities challenenged US authorities for the right to operate
EU carriers within the U.S. domestic market, as well as the right to own larger shares of
American carriers, by 2010. As of this writing, the U.S. has not recipricated these air ... Show more

Multi Engine, and Instrument flight ratings. He is currently employed as a program
manager in the Space Based Infrared Systems Directorate at Los Angeles Air Force Base.
Statement of the Problem
As of 4 May 2012, the United States has entered into Open Skies agreements with
105 countries (Open Skies Partners, 2012). United States based airlines now have more
competition than in the past and need a strategic plan to remain competitive. As a part of
this plan, the airlines will need to possess an understanding of how consumer perceptions
of safety, service, and cost will affect the amount of cross flow of passengers from U.S.
airlines to foreign carriers in a domestic Open Sky market, as well as foreign markets.
Understanding which factors affect the customer s decision the most, and how U.S.
customers view foreign airlines, will be critical in understanding the shift in demand
resulting from increased foreign ownership and foreign airline access.
Significance of the Problem
If U.S. airlines do not understand the perceptions of foreign and foreign owned
airlines, they stand to lose market share and revenue in an Open Sky market. The
International Trade Administration and the State Department claim that the estimated
current economic value of the US EU open skies agreement is worth $12 billion annually
to the airline industry and related industries. However, the increased

Themes Of Inherit The Wind
Inherit the Wind Inherit the Wind by Jerome Lawrence and Robert Edwin Lee is a fictionalized play
on the Scopes Trial, formally known as the Tennessee v. John Thomas Scopes. In July 21, 1925, a high
school teacher was accused of violating the Butler Act. This act made it illegal to teach evolution in
any state funded school. Although Scopes was unsure he taught evolution, he incriminated himself and
was found guilty. The subject of the play reflects this event except Inherit the Wind holds, themes of
censorship, freedom of thinking, and the search for truth. The title of the play summarizes the
consequences of being ignorant of other thoughts. The person who chooses to go after something that

He portrayed the ideas of free thinking and shows the lonely side of having opposing thoughts. It s the
loneliest feeling in the world to find yourself standing up when everybody else is sitting down...I
know. I know what it feels like... This is completely true, the worst feeling in the world is finding
those who have greeted you with open arms have now turned away leaving only cold stares.
Drummond understands this from his own experience, he was not welcomed in the town as Brady was
and seen as the devil by a young girl. It is ironic to see people who have based their lives on loving
one another and saying that every person was made in the image of their god, yet when a single person
turns slightly away from this practice they call down on hellfire. The place they try to protect each
other from now they try to cast a good man caring towards, caring less if they be blood of my blood,
and flesh of my flesh. Even Brady sees this and responds with ...it is possible to be overzealous, to
destroy that which you hope to save so that nothing is left but emptiness. It is incredible how quickly
humans can be fixated on their ideas, leaving no room for progress or discussion. The fear of having
the only ideas they understand be challenged and their only defense is to turn themselves into what
they loath. They are willing to throw a teacher into prison instead of opening to a new way of thinking
that could possibly push them forward. Still they choose to push

Biological Explanations For Homosexuality
Beatrice sets down a teapot and plates, sits beside her loyal best friends, stuffed with cotton, and cries
out joyfully, Cheers! She laughs with them and talks to them without a care in the world; she is free
from all the problems that will someday be thrown at her in life. Will Beatrice have a choice in who
she loves, or will her genetics decide that for her? Some people may contradict that she is destined to
be homosexual, others say it is a choice, and some voice that nurture is the sole cause, out of her hands
to be determined. People across America are mostly unsure how to respond to this conflict, mainly
because not many people know what the right answer is. Research has been made, debates have taken

Homosexuality is a response to these harmful experiences that can cause individuals to reject one
gender over another, or simply to become confused with their own identity and attractions. Parents
might unintentionally show their children neglect, which will create a child who s thoughts are

Paplona Controversy
As the Muslim invasion quickly spread, it reached Pamplona in the Basque Country, submitting the
city to its rule in 716. The Pamplonians, however, did not take to their new rulers, and in 740 expelled
their Arab governor and his garrison. This independence would last very little time, but it was the
precursor of what was to come; in 799, the inhabitants of Pamplona successfully revolted from their
Banu Qasi rulers under the leadership of Velasco. Again, this autonomy was short lived, as in 802 the
city was taken by the emir of CĂłrdoba, Hisham I. Pamplona would, however, be permanently freed
from the yoke of Islam when the Franks under Charlemagne captured the city in 806. Pamplona
finally became fully sovereign and independent in the year of 824 when they rebelled against the
Franks under the leadership of IĂąigo Aritza, thoroughly defeating them at the pass of Roncesvalles.
With this, the Kingdom of Pamplona was born. Until the fall of the Banu Qasi in 907, the Kings of
Pamplona often intermarried with the Banu Qasi in order to maintain alliances that helped preserve the
safety of the kingdom. During this time period, the Kingdom of Pamplona expanded greatly, taking in
the former Frankish county of Aragon in 834 through marriage. In 925, The kingdom stretched even

Susan Wolf s Article Moral Saints And John Stuart...
Both Susan Wolf s article Moral Saints and John Stuart Mill s book Utilitarianism will be discussed
here. These works offer expositions of and opinions on the philosophical issue of the moral worth of
adhering to a certain set of values, and how a person s motivations for doing so can change their worth
and the desirability of their way of life. Wolf offers the position that leading an extremely morally
good life is undesirable, while Mill s opposing position is that if morality leads to happiness, then that
behavior is preferable. To determine which of these stances on the value of morality has the most
pertinence, these two arguments will be outlined and consequently analyzed. Their differences and
similarities will be enumerated and described, and consequently their merit will be discussed. Finally,
Wolf s moral theory will be proven to be inferior to Mills s, due to its prejudice, lack of supportive
evidence, and its inability to be universally applicable.
In Moral Saints , Susan Wolf defines a moral saint as an individual who is as morally good as it is
possible to be. Wolf suggests that there are two types of moral saints, utilitarian and Kantian (Wolf
420). A utilitarian saint is a Loving Saint , one who simply finds their own happiness in the happiness
of others and performs moral actions for their own sake (Wolf 420). A Kantian saint is a Rational Saint
, who is inherently different from a utilitarian/loving saint in the sense that they do not necessarily

THE LIFING APPLIED BY THE UNITED STATES The first Apache helicopter was delivered to the
United States Army in 1997 by Boeing. The United States Army now has more than 800 Apache
aircraft in service. It has also exported over 1000 Apache helicopters worldwide to countries such as,
the Netherlands, Singapore and Israel to name a few. In this time, the US Apache has had no recorded
CSD incidents from over 4 million recorded flight operating hours. There has been no un commanded
initiation of the CSD system either in flight or on the ground (discounting human error causes) in over

To give a full representation of how other platforms utilise a crew escape system, 4 rotary wing
aircraft were chosen. These were the UH 60 Black Hawk, the CH 47 Chinook, the AH 1 Cobra and the
AW 159 Wildcat. For simplicity and to give a better comparison for the Apache AH Mk1, only the
cockpit crew escape systems have been analysed, not the cabin escape system. UH 60 BLACK
HAWK The UH 60 Black Hawk helicopter is manufactured by Sikorsky and has been in operation
since 1978. It is primarily used as a troop personnel carrier and provides a logistical capability. The
UH 60 Black Hawk has a purely manual operation of door release. It has emergency release handles
located on the inside of each of the cockpit doors. If these handles are subsequently pulled with
approximately 40 45 lbs. of force, the doors can be separated from the locating points. The door will
then be separated from the aircraft, allowing the aircrew to egress the aircraft. CH 47 CHINOOK The
CH 47 Chinook is manufactured by Boeing, and has been exported to both military and private
operators worldwide. It is primarily used as a troop and logistics transporter, as well as providing
essential medical evacuation on operations. The CH 47 Chinook emergency release handles are
located above both cockpit doors. They can be operated by either pulling or pushing the handles with
approximately 35 40 Ibs of force. Once the handles are operated the doors will simply fall out. The

The Bell Curve
Today, current events in the United States are mired with complex topics and simple answers. Often
times articles present information in biased ways, or make completely inaccurate statements in order
to emphasize an opinion. This often avoids addressing an issue with a serious discussion of the
empirical data and known information on the topic. One specific topic in which data and studies are
often presented carelessly or often misinterpreted is in the subject of IQ. According to one of the
authors of a controversial book The Bell Curve, Charles Murray says; There s a dirty little secret that
we try to expose in the book which is that the conventional wisdom in the media about IQ tests and
what they measure and don t measure, and expert opinion, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One of the final points made in The Bell Curve is that by acknowledging IQ as a factor that exists,
social policy and decisions made at the macro level can better be tailored to the needs of groups. To
prevent a cognitive elite from isolating itself from the rest of society, the book offers a solution in
which differences in abilities are recognized, and each individual can have a valued place(1). The bell
Curve unsurprisingly is disregarded by many that fear utilizing IQ could have severely negative
effects on society s views and treatments of minority groups or historically oppressed groups. The
book is often described as a racist and bigoted book that tells its readers to treat groups with
significantly different IQ differently (2). While both sides can make a strong case for the value of IQ
in modern day society, without an understanding of the experiments and design structure of the tests
used to collect data on the subject, both arguments should seem unconvincing. Arguing about IQ is a
very sensitive subject, and to be able to do so in a beneficial way the arguments used to discuss the
topic should utilize an understanding of principals learned in CBE

Everyone feels blue or sad occasionally, but if debilitating negative emotions begin to interfere with
your daily life and normal functioning treatment should be sought to see if you may be suffering from
depression. The rate of depression worldwide has seen a steady increase over the last few decades and
according to the World Health Organization (2011), it is the number one cause of disability in the U.S.
with economic costs exceeding in to the billions. Stress, which is directly correlated to depression, has
many contributing variables that can be very detrimental to your physiological and psychological
health [may be need more explanation and some specific examples to make argument stronger].
Depression is a very serious mental illness that negatively affects how you feel, the way you think and
how you act. It can be caused by stressful events or can occur spontaneously, with no identifiable
specific cause. Those suffering from depression looking for a treatment to alleviate feelings of
negative affect will most likely be prescribed some sort of antidepressant drug. During the past 15
years, a plethora of antidepressant drugs has entered the marketplace all claiming to be the cure all for
your biochemical dysfunction (Benkert, O., Szegedi, A, Muller, M. J., 2002). However, many
antidepressants can cause severe side effects both physically and mentally. Tensions between the

Poet Dylan Thomas once spoke, Dark is a way and light is a place , Heaven that never was nor will be
is always true . One s life is not charted by how much money they make, or how big their house is,
because in the blink of an eye, it can all be gone. I believe life is charted by the impact you have on
others. Starting this book has reshaped how I think about the growing problem of homelessness. How
I address the problem, and how I see and want to find ways to fix it more than ever.
Growing up I ve heard many reasons why people are homeless. One is that they didn t have enough
money to support themselves, because they spent it on wants, and not necessities like, drugs, and
alcohol. Another is that a person is mentally challenged, and doesn t have the capacity, or skills to
function in, the real world and can t support themselves, and end up on the streets. They also don t
have a support system, or the means to find assistants, and their only option may be, to end up on the
streets. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

people for me. That some people chose to be homeless. Most people are homeless because they have
no family, no money to support themselves, or are foreigners, who can t find a job. But reading this

Absenteeism In Beyond Massa
The book entitled Beyond Massa Sugar Management in British Caribbean, 1770 1834 , was written by
Dr. John F. Campbell, a lecturer of History at the University of the West Indies (Trinidad). The book
provides a revisionist perspective of managerial strategies used on the sugar plantations and outlines
how important the relationship between the enslaved and the plantation managers are, to maximize
production. Sugar was depicted as the main source of commodity during the seventeenth and
eighteenth centuries and the book focuses mainly on the Golden Grove planation, in Jamaica to
highlight this. This plantation was owned by an absentee owner Chaloner Arcedekne, however, it was

John Campbell. By critically examining historical facts, he challenged the aspects of slavery with
supporting evidence. Through his revisionist perspective, readers can grasp the significant factors
portrayed as he captures the essence of life on sugar plantations in the Caribbean. He also illustrates
how HRM strategies were used to assess them. The book reveals absenteeism as a normal trait of
plantation owners, this was because they preferred to live an elite lifestyle in London and hired
managers to run their estates. Due to absenteeism, it reinforces why HRM strategies had to be used by
plantation managers. The corruption of power elites as well as the roll of females can relate to the

Human immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) is one of the most common STI seen in the world today [1].
HIV is a virus. HIV virus spreads across body fluids and it attacks the immune system such as CD4

detected if an individual get tested. If HIV is left untreated, it would weaken the immune system,
resulting in an inability for our body to fight against other infections and diseases [2]. HIV disease is a

Information require to balance and contrast relevance and reliability when determining how to account
for particular items (Alford et al. 1993). Produce information quickly and measuring the information
more accurate are the benefits if the accounting information contain of reliability and relevance. The
other consideration is about cost and benefit. It can be define as cost and benefit that result from

information provided for users should exceed the cost of providing it (weygandt et al. 2002) It can

The Feasibility Study
The Feasibility study is an analysis of possible alternative solutions to a problem and a

The feasibility study should examine three main areas; market issues, technical and organizational
requirements, financial overview. The results of this study are used to make a decision whether to

• How to convince management to develop the new system
• Selection among alternative financing arrangements (rent/lease/purchase)

hard to estimate, it s also hard to rank multi criteria alternatives
Examples of particular benefits: cost reductions, error reductions, increased flexibility of operation,
improved operation, better (e.g., more accurate) and more timely information.
Benefits may be classified into one of the following categories:
• Monetary : when $ values can be calculated e.g. Increased sales through increased production.
• Tangible (Quantified) : when benefits can be quantified, but $ values can t be calculated e.g.
cost/error reductions, increased throughput/efficiency, increased margin on sales, more effective use of
staff
• Intangible: when neither of the above applies, it is difficult to quantify, but maybe more important!

products/services, better customer relations, improved staff morale.

Or would the recipients spend a surplus of money if thought to be a bonus check? Sykes (2015) had
found that families felt a relief from financial stress when it came to receiving their yearly lump sum
from the government. They were able to pay back many of their debts, just as a responsible family
should. This allowed them to enhance the amount of consumption they were given leeway for. Such as
toys or brand name foods. For families in Welfare who were given limited room to grow, EITC left
enough money to lift dreams off the ground and making it possible for families to invest in their
futures. All of these factors made it easier for the families to feel a sense of citizenship. Social
inclusion plays a larger factor than once thought. Using government programs like SNAP (food
stamps) ostracized people in public areas; making it difficult to feel proud or in a sense normal . I
strongly believe that this article found what they set out to look for. The results clearly show that EITC
gave low wage families a sense of dignity, but since the population interviewed and tracked was so
small it s difficult to believe that all families in the same program live entirely the same. The lurking
variables consisted of past programs impeding on the behavior of present recipients in the EITC
program. These past programs have altered the way of thinking for some people. The

Critical Analysis Of Supernatural
ANALYSIS OF SUPERNATURAL
Supernatural. Anyone s first impression upon hearing the name of this tv show would be that it is one
for teenagers, full of nonsensical, fictitious storylines. At least my parents have always thought of the
show that way, but that is because they have never taken the time to see even one episode of this
utterly creative and emotional horror tv series that brings it viewers back season after season. Now, the
series is on its 13th season and it is going strong as ever. Why? Because of its themes, because of all
the underlying messages it sends to its devoted fans amidst the entertainment of all the surprising plot
twists and the show s stance on various issues existing in today s world.
So what is Supernatural about? The plot revolves around the adventures of two brothers, Sam and
Dean Winchester as they hunt the big, bad monsters that hurt innocent humans. They travel all around
the country searching for cases out of the ordinary and take care of the demons, or ghouls, or
vampires, whatever terrorizing and rampaging small towns or big cities with their heinous activities.
Characters have come and gone but the brothers have always stayed together, except for a c few times
when they went their separate ways due to certain disagreements, huge ones, which I will get to later.
However, they always seek each other out, accept their fault and apologize. After all, family is family.
There are misunderstandings, fights and Bobby Winchester says it the best:

Dopamine Functions In The Brain
Author Sally Robertson discusses how dopamine functions in the brain. Dopamine is a member of a
class of molecules called the catecholamines , which serve as neurotransmitters and hormones. In the
brain, dopamine serves as a neurotransmitter and is released from nerve cells to send signals to other
nerves. Dopamine has already been proven to have roles in thinking, memory, movement and reward.
However, researchers have shown that dopaminergic neurotransmission plays a central role in
modulating pain perception and analgesia within certain parts of the brain including the insula,
thalamus, basal ganglia, anterior cingulate cortex and periaqueductal gray. In cases of acute pain
suffered after an injury, pain signals are sent from the site of

Themes In Doubt By John Patrick Shanley
In the novel Doubt by John Patrick Shanley, he creates doubts in readers minds that have us turning
the pages curious of what will happen next. This topic is important in the book because doubt is one of
the biggest themes in this novel, it can be apart from all other themes in the book. Doubt creates a lot
of different opinions from people, and raises a lot of important discussions. It creates doubt in readers
minds whether or not Father Flynn is guilty, he does this by showing us different sides of characters
and making us feeling uncertain about our beliefs.
In John Patrick Shanley s novel Doubt he opens us up to a whole bunch of different characters, you
have Sister Aloysius who is the stern traditionalist and then you have the complete opposite Father
Flynn who is a very fun, kind, and progressive person. Sister Aloysius thinks that Father Flynn s ways
of living life are very strange and she is appalled by his habits because they are not like her
traditionalist ways. Your fingernails, I wear them a little long, the sugar? Oh yes, one? Three. Three.
(27 Shanley) Sister Aloysius likes to have her own specific list of beliefs, and traditions so when she
sees Father Flynn s long fingernails, and that he finds it ok to have three sugars in his tea, to Aloysius
this is such an outrage, she is shocked and appalled by the ways that he enjoys living his life, she tries
to hide her disgust but this fails. Another big issue between these 2 is the case of the young

The United States in the twentieth century, enters an era of modernization within its societies. New

their expectations, creating a belief that most economic and social problems could be solved. This new
era ultimately brings the change of thought towards the american dream. People with consistent hard

the conflicts of an average american family. Willy Loman, the protagonist, is blindly guided by the

The Worst Flood Of The Mississippi River Basin
In 1993, the Midwest experienced the worst flood in American history affecting ten states in the Upper
Mississippi River basin. The flooding lasted from late spring to fall, killing fifty two people and
damaging a 100,000 homes and businesses. The cause of the flooding was a heavy winter with lots of
snow and a spring season full of rain, which saturated the soil. Instead, of a hot summer, the rain kept
coming and the Upper Mississippi River Basin received three and a half times its normal rain. Since it
continuously rained, the water levels kept rising and many of the levees broke. The water levels stayed
high for weeks destroying towns and agriculture all throughout the Midwest.
One of the main issues leading up to the flood of 1993 was the failed communication and partnership
between local, state, and federal governments. The federal government is in charge of floodplain
management instead of the local and state government, which prevents local governments becoming
involved. This form of management flaw became revealed by the amount of damage the flood made.
The reason the damage was so devastating and so many people lost their homes and businesses is
because the federal government failed to understand the Executive Order of 1977 and permitted
building in the flood plains. Some examples of the EO being understood are a low income housing
project funded by HUD and a federally funded state prison within floodplains, and a proposed
construction of a federal weather

Medical Sonography Career Path
The career path that I am choosing to follow is Diagnostic Medical Sonography. This career involves
the use of frequency waves to view tissues; organs and blood flow inside of the body. My main career

Sonography is considered fairly new to the medical world. It started back in the 19th century when
people were becoming curious of what the inside of the body looked like. Soon after, the x ray was

at my own pace and the grades that I receive in these classes will determine if I get into phase II or
not. Because the program at Greenville Tech only accepts 15 students, it is imperative that I perform
to the best of my abilities in every one of my classes. Greenville Tech is also one of the few accredited
programs in South Carolina, which makes it even more harder to be come a Sonographer. I must also

Essay On Factory Farming
Do you know what your meal went through to get to your plate and how it is affecting your day to day
life? Factory farming is an industrial type operation that uses large quantities of animals to provide
food fast and efficiently. Almost all the meats and animal byproducts that we consume, cause harm
and pain to the animals as they go through the cycle of factory farming and it might cause issues
affecting your health. Factory farming is unethical because the practices are uneconomical, unsanitary,
and unnecessary. Factory farming is raising livestock with one intent in mind, which is getting money
fast while spending little. They use shortcuts to make production more efficient, but do so without the
animal s wellbeing in mind. Some people agree with the prospects of factory farming because they

Throughout the play, Thornton Wilder seems to suggest that everyday events make up a special and
beautiful life. The author includes multiple different scenes to represent the simplicity of life. As the
Stage Manager describes the death of Joe Crowell, the bright student headed to be engineer, he implies
the idea that one should acknowledge the small yet great things in life before it s too late. The author
also includes the death of Emily which questions how much humans understand of life. This event lets
readers take in the beautiful moments in their lives and recognize the small things that make them
happy. Wilder includes the small moment of Emily finding joy in the simple and natural things like

Mrs.Gibbs heliotrope (45). Emily appreciates the little things in life like the beautiful moonlight and

life so much more special. Emily is chatting with her father and enjoys this time to comment on the
simple things of nature. This relates to life now since there are many things that we do everyday that
are simply beautiful. Since they are young, the children don t realize the mundane action of going to
school makes up their special lives. The children meet, down center and head towards Main Street,
then turn left (16) to go to school. The children are going about their everyday lives but don t seem to
realize that simple actions like this can make life so beautiful and something to celebrate about. Wilder
shows this common theme by having the two families go through everyday life, placing emphasis on

Analysis of Giovanni Francesco Guerrieri s Judith with...
Artistic interpretation: Giovanni Francesco Guerrieri s Judith With the Head of Holofernes Giovanni
Francesco Guerrieri s oil painting Judith With the Head of Holofernes (1626) depicts the Biblical
heroine dressed in Renaissance style clothing. She has impassive, beautiful face. Judith has long,
flowing blonde hair, pale blue eyes, and the neckline of her dress is modest. Judith looks slightly
pregnant because of the folds of her gown. The sleeves of her dress are large, pink, and puffy, further
contributing to her feminine appearance, as does her small, dangling earrings. In one hand, the
beautiful woman holds the beheaded face of Holofernes. Holofernes eyes are closed and he has a
snarled, scraggly beard. His face is pale and ashen and blends into the background. The dead man s
face is a stark contrast to Judith s beauty. In the opposite hand Judith holds a sword. Although her
hand has a golden, delicate bracelet, her arm is clenching the sword in a strong, muscular fashion and
the sword is not in its scabbard, suggesting that Judith is still a vital, active warrior. Judith is speaking
to a man (or perhaps a woman) with a covered head. The figure is much older than Judith, and looks at
her with wonderment, his long nose crinkled with horror. Judith looks at him, not at the viewer.
Although she is an idealized figure, she is fully involved with the scene. The scene is realistically
depicted in the sense that it is not an abstract work of art like a Picasso, but it

Julius Caesar Standard Score
Caesar is a 7 year old second grader. Caesar claims that he does not like math. To understand Caesar s
results, you must understand the terms raw score, standard score, percentile rank, and grade/age
equivalent. Caesar was tested in basic concepts (numeration, rational numbers, geometry), operations
(addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, mental computation), and applications (measurement,
time, money, estimation, interpreting data, problem solving). From Caesar s scores on the Key Math
Revised he appears to be slightly above average in math comprehension. An average standard score is
100. Caesar received a standard score of 101 in basic concepts, 102 in operations, and 107 in
applications. This shows that Caesar ranked highest in applications, meaning that he is slightly above

The grade/age equivalent scores show what grade level matches the student s performance, and then
what age level matches the student s performance. Caesar received a 7 11 in basic concepts, 7 8 in

in mathematics. Grade/age equivalent scores are a statistical abstraction; there is no evidence to
support the score. The grade/age equivalent score is an estimation of what the average student can
comprehend at a certain age or grade level. The Committee to Develop Standards actually warns for
people not to trust these scores as absolute truths of a students intelligence. This can be seen on how
much these scores differ from the standard score and percentile ranking Caesar was given. It is highly
unlikely that Caesar scored slightly above average on his standard score and percentile ranking, and as

The Negative Effects Of The NBA Salary Cap
In one of the most profitable industries in America, the National Basketball Association has increased
in popularity and in revenue since their incorporation. With these growths, stardom and income have
increased exponentially for the players. As the value of the players have risen, the salary cap has
followed. Although the salary cap has risen, star players continue to feel like they are worth more on
the free market than they are being paid. LeBron James, for example, is invaluable to the NBA s
bottom line. Yet, because of the salary cap, he gets paid around the same as Grizzly s guard Mike
Conley who is not considered a top five point guard in the NBA. Although the NBA salary cap is in

Western Influence on Kuwait
Kuwait and Western influence Over the past decades, Kuwait, like most Islamic countries have
practiced strict measures in terms of their governance system with lots of times the religious aspect
influencing greatly the kind of government in place and the type of governance that is used within
Kuwait. This resulted in a closed, less democratic, religious, stereotypical and generally patriarchal
society. This has however undergone a lot of change particularly with the embracing of the Western
culture that is more open, diverse and liberal in nature. Positives of western culture interaction More
democratic space Western culture has had far reaching effects on many aspects of lives of the Kuwaiti

the women, both domestically and socially, to embracing them and liberating them to make choices

what they put on and how they express themselves. Kuwaitis have also adopted modern pop culture
something that was unheard of in the past. They have developed a sense of taste for whatever they
buy, whatever they listen to, what they eat, watch, what they do on their bodies, hair and teeth. It is
paradoxical that when Kuwait gained her independence from the United Kingdom in 1961, her
citizens proclaimed liberation, when in actual sense there was none of it. Women in particular had to

Weaknesses And Strengths Of The President George W Bush
To be a leader is no easy task. You are faced with complex decisions that affect others wellbeing, and
sometimes lives. The leader with the single most responsibility for others would be the President.
Therefore, analyzing his decision regarding 9/11 are a very daunting task. However, from a
managerial standpoint I plan to examine his strengths and weaknesses, the alternative resources he
utilized, and decision making strategies. Former President George W Bush has a ton of strengths. He

leadership style he confirmed Bush is a delegator who leans heavily on trusted advisors (Roberto,
Cariogia 2002). When he can delegate he creates a support system to help him with decisions. He also
gave staff a lot of room to grow; by not getting bogged down with details. By giving the staff some
freedom to brainstorm on their own, he can trust them to add to a goal he has in mind. This also
requires him to be an avid listener, and not always just talk. This allows for more time for thought, and
fair consideration of everyone s ideas. As far as things Bush could improve upon, from a managerial
standpoint, there is not many. There are only two things that come to mind. One, was his ability to be
influenced by what I believe was deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz s opinion to invade
Iraq. While Bush chose to wait a brief amount of time before doing that, I do believe he allowed
someone else s agenda to be push to the forefront. Second, along those same lines, I believe because
he trusted others so much he did not do his own amount of due diligence. It is the leader s

A Brief Note On The American Heart Association
I still need a catchy intro The American Heart Association published an article on October 7th, 2015.
About polyunsaturated fats also known as PUFAs. PUFAs are consisted of one unsaturated carbon
bond in the molecule called a double bond Omega 3 and Omega 6, and they are easily found in oils.
Our bodies can make most of the fats that are needed, however a member of the University of
Maryland s Medical System stated that our bodies can t make some of the essential fatty acids, also
known as Omega 3s and Omega 6s. Omega 3 is very essential because it helps all of our tissues in our
bodies function. Research shows that it can also help reduce inflammation and it may help lower risk
of chronic diseases such as heart disease, cancer and arthritis. Omega 3 lowers the levels of
Triglycerides (fats in the blood), when your blood is filled with triglycerides it gets thick which makes
your heart work harder than usual. It is also very important for infants to receive Omega 3 from their
mothers during pregnancy are at risk for developing vision and nerve problems.
Omega 6, is an essential fatty acid just like Omega 3 our bodies cannot produce them but we can get
them through food. Omega 6, plays a crucial role in brain function, growth, and development. Also, it
helps with hair growth, bone health, regulate metabolism, and maintain the reproductive system. A
healthy diet is consisted of a balance of Omega 3 and Omega 6 because Omega 3 fatty acids help
reduce inflammation and

Dynamic Stretching Research Paper
There are several factors that tie into aiding a great recovery; Mobility is amongst them. Mobility is
the ability to move freely and easily. The desired goal of continued mobilization is to slowly increase
the athlete s range of motion (ROM). This requires much work such as dynamic stretching after
workouts or just every day routines. Dynamic stretching has been proven to be quite effective when it
comes to maintaining health and ROM. For some Athletes, dynamic stretching may require aid tools
to help release the build up of accumulated lactic acid that basic stretching cannot reach. This type of
stretching would be one that the end position is not held, for instance, walking lunches, and walking
kicks. These techniques are deemed a form of SMR therapy. This therapy goal is to stimulate the
stretch reflex in muscles from applying a somewhat ridged object to a pressure point, soar muscle, or
just continued therapy. The desired goal of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness, otherwise known as DOMS, happens when the muscle tissue is
stressed beyond what it is accustomed to. The stresses on the muscles cause microscopic tears to the
muscle fibers, which then lead to delayed soreness, stiffness, and discomfort making it difficult to
perform simple tasks throughout the day. DOMS would be the best possible scenario for lactic acid
build up, but in emergency situations lactic acid has shown to be detrimental causing cell necrosis and
in some cases death. When there is an extremity that is cut off from blood flow, the tissues in that
specific area create a lactic acid build up that if released too quickly back into the bloodstream could
cause the heart to stop beating. This situation is very common in crush injuries; emergency personnel
now have strict protocol to prevent this situation from occurring. Some preventative methods and
recovery techniques to prevent that surplus of lactic acid for minor and major buildup, one might use

Bachelor Of Kinesiology Program Analysis
Good morning members of the University of Toronto admissions board. I would just like to begin by
thanking you all for allowing me to stand here in front of you today as you listen to my application for
a spot in your Bachelor of Kinesiology Program. After a long pursuit of trying to find the right
program, I came across yours and once I read the program description I knew right away that this was
the program for me. Not only do I think that this program is the perfect fit for me, I also believe that I
am the most deserving candidate. But why you may ask? What separates me from the rest? Three
reasons why I would make a deserving candidate for your Bachelor of Kinesiology Program include
the following: I possess a superlative work ethic, I have a passion to learn about the human body,
along with my remarkable interpersonal skills.
The first thing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
From an early age I have been fascinated by the workings of life. The human body is a remarkable
machine, the way bones break, muscles tear, and how when injuries like that happen your body
instantly starts to repair itself. My passion for the human body continues to grow each day, and when I
find out new information on it I can t help but become infatuated. For instance, I remember my mom
used to get these really bad leg cramps, she explained it as a sharp, excruciating pain that made her
unable to even stand, and I would always help her by massaging the area. It got to the point where
every time she got a cramp she would call out for me to help her because I always made the pain go
away. Our body is something that we have with us forever and to me, learning about our body s
physiological and biomechanical responses to exercise is something that intrigues me. Your
Kinesiology program focuses a lot on these topics, and I think that this course would be extremely
beneficial to

This American Life Essay Sample
After listening to This American Life by Ira Glass, I can identify some reasons how it relates to our
Public Speaking class. The podcast is relevant to our coursework because it contains a lot of the topics
that we discussed in our textbook. I think that it is relevant to us as Public Speaking students because
it is full of different ideas and dialect. I believe that this podcast was assigned for us to listen to
because it contains many of the things that are discussed by our textbook. For example, when Donald
Trump is talking about polls he cites his source verbally by saying it was from the Center of Security
Policy (Glass, 15). Here, Donald Trump verbally signals his source and avoids plagiarism, which is
defined as presenting another ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Another example that stuck out to me that was something we discussed in class and was in our
textbook was listening. When Tom Emmer is talking at his town hall and Sue keeps saying that he
wasn t listening to her Tom Emmer says to Zoe Chace that he felt like the people at the town hall said
he was telling them and that he wasn t listening (Glass, 5). How I think this relates to the book is in
Chapter 3 the book talks about listening. The book discusses things like being an active listener, as
well as, critical and comprehensive listening. I think that both Sue and Tom Emmer were not being
very good active listeners and were not listening critically or comprehensively. Sue wasn t listening to
the idea the Tom had that they could not just keep Somali Muslims out of St. Cloud so she wasn t
listening to understand the message of the speaker and she also was not listening to evaluate a
message for purposes of accepting or rejecting it (Lucas, 49) (Glass, 5). Tom was also not being a
good active listener because he got stuck on the first point that Sue was saying and did not listener to
the rest of the things that she had to say. Granted, Sue wasn t making a very reasonable point by trying
to state that people couldn t legally come to America (Glass,

Summary Of Mary Wollstonecraft s A Vindication Of Rights...
Mary Wollstonecraft s A Vindication of Rights of Women is a treatise concerning how she views
society in 1792. She observes the oppression of women and the lack of education in society.
Wollstonecraft is saying that men hold more influence over society than. The society, community, life
itself is organized for men to succeed and be successful.[Oppression and Women s History, Linda
Napikoski and Jone Johnson Lewis, 2017]. Women were used to pleasing men and only focus on
dressing nice and staying quiet[Oppression and Women s History, Linda Napikoski and Jone Johnson
Lewis, 2017]. To Wollstonecraft, this is the view of women being under men for everything. Women
are still to this day being oppressed and treated unfairly. Women face issues such as sexual violence,
underpaid, or even getting shamed.( 10 challenges, Ms. Magazine, 2017). Women still experience all
things society but them through but they still impact the world. She wants women to be able to do
things she sees their capable of doing. Wollstonecraft argues that lack of education is the reason
women are in the condition they re in 1792 it s the 2000 and women still face some of these such as
social media , men dominant They don t have tools to vindicate their rights, and can t voice their
opinions because of the way they re taught(The Origins of Women s Oppression, Marxists, 1990).
Men cultivate women s weaknesses and only look to please themselves (The Origins of Women s
Oppression, Marxists, 1990). Women are

Relationship Between Montag And Faber
Faber teaches Montag that books should be digested and then read thoroughly. Then once a person
does that they should use what they have learned and apply it to their own life and actions. Faber
shows this to Montag because Montag thinks that he just needs to read books to fill the emptiness he
feels inside. Faber explains to him that it isn t books Montag is looking for but the teachings or lessons
in those books are what he is looking for to fill his unhappiness. Faber doesn t just teach Montag to
read but how to use what he is reading and apply it. Montag and Faber start to converse about how
they will bring books back to be relevant. Montag comes up with a kind of outlandish idea to plant
books in firefighters homes and get them burned

CHAPTER I INTRODUCTION Background of the Problem With the introduction of the Open Skies program and the continuation of globalization, U.S. airlines are facing stiffer competition. As the possibility of cabotage looms in the future, American passengers may have more opportunities to fly foreign carriers both at home and abroad. Open Skies operations have commenced on transatlantic and intra EU routes, meaning that choice of carrier has expanded for U.S. air travelers abroad. EU authorities challenenged US authorities for the right to operate EU carriers within the U.S. domestic market, as well as the right to own larger shares of American carriers, by 2010. United States based airlines now have more competition than in the past and need a strategic plan to remain competitive. It s the loneliest feeling in the world to find yourself standing up when everybody else is sitting down...I know. I know what it feels like... This is completely true, the worst feeling in the world is finding those who have greeted you with open arms have now turned away leaving only cold stares. Drummond understands this from his own experience, he was not welcomed in the town as Brady was and seen as the devil by a young girl. It is ironic to see people who have based their lives on loving one another and saying that every person was made in the image of their god, yet when a single person turns slightly away from this practice they call down on hellfire. The place they try to protect each other from now they try to cast a good man caring towards, caring less if they be blood of my blood, and flesh of my flesh. Even Brady sees this and responds with ...it is possible to be overzealous, to destroy that which you hope to save so that nothing is left but emptiness. It is incredible how quickly humans can be fixated on their ideas, leaving no room for progress or discussion. • 6. Paplona Controversy As the Muslim invasion quickly spread, it reached Pamplona in the Basque Country, submitting the city to its rule in 716. The Pamplonians, however, did not take to their new rulers, and in 740 expelled their Arab governor and his garrison. This independence would last very little time, but it was the precursor of what was to come; in 799, the inhabitants of Pamplona successfully revolted from their Banu Qasi rulers under the leadership of Velasco. Again, this autonomy was short lived, as in 802 the city was taken by the emir of CĂłrdoba, Hisham I. Pamplona would, however, be permanently freed from the yoke of Islam when the Franks under Charlemagne captured the city in 806. Pamplona finally became fully sovereign and independent in the year of 824 when they rebelled against the Franks under the leadership of IĂąigo Aritza, thoroughly defeating them at the pass of Roncesvalles. With this, the Kingdom of Pamplona was born. Until the fall of the Banu Qasi in 907, the Kings of Pamplona often intermarried with the Banu Qasi in order to maintain alliances that helped preserve the safety of the kingdom. • 7. Susan Wolf s Article Moral Saints And John Stuart... Both Susan Wolf s article Moral Saints and John Stuart Mill s book Utilitarianism will be discussed here. These works offer expositions of and opinions on the philosophical issue of the moral worth of adhering to a certain set of values, and how a person s motivations for doing so can change their worth and the desirability of their way of life. Wolf offers the position that leading an extremely morally good life is undesirable, while Mill s opposing position is that if morality leads to happiness, then that behavior is preferable. To determine which of these stances on the value of morality has the most pertinence, these two arguments will be outlined and consequently analyzed. Their differences and similarities will be enumerated and described, and consequently their merit will be discussed. Finally, Wolf s moral theory will be proven to be inferior to Mills s, due to its prejudice, lack of supportive evidence, and its inability to be universally applicable. In Moral Saints , Susan Wolf defines a moral saint as an individual who is as morally good as it is possible to be. Wolf suggests that there are two types of moral saints, utilitarian and Kantian (Wolf 420). A utilitarian saint is a Loving Saint , one who simply finds their own happiness in the happiness of others and performs moral actions for their own sake (Wolf 420). They were able to pay back many of their debts, just as a responsible family should. This allowed them to enhance the amount of consumption they were given leeway for. Such as toys or brand name foods. For families in Welfare who were given limited room to grow, EITC left enough money to lift dreams off the ground and making it possible for families to invest in their futures. All of these factors made it easier for the families to feel a sense of citizenship. Social inclusion plays a larger factor than once thought. Using government programs like SNAP (food stamps) ostracized people in public areas; making it difficult to feel proud or in a sense normal . I strongly believe that this article found what they set out to look for. The results clearly show that EITC gave low wage families a sense of dignity, but since the population interviewed and tracked was so small it s difficult to believe that all families in the same program live entirely the same. The lurking variables consisted of past programs impeding on the behavior of present recipients in the EITC program. These past programs have altered the way of thinking for some people. The ... • 21. Critical Analysis Of Supernatural ANALYSIS OF SUPERNATURAL Supernatural. Anyone s first impression upon hearing the name of this tv show would be that it is one for teenagers, full of nonsensical, fictitious storylines. At least my parents have always thought of the show that way, but that is because they have never taken the time to see even one episode of this utterly creative and emotional horror tv series that brings it viewers back season after season. Now, the series is on its 13th season and it is going strong as ever. Why? Because of its themes, because of all the underlying messages it sends to its devoted fans amidst the entertainment of all the surprising plot twists and the show s stance on various issues existing in today s world. So what is Supernatural about? The plot revolves around the adventures of two brothers, Sam and Dean Winchester as they hunt the big, bad monsters that hurt innocent humans. They travel all around the country searching for cases out of the ordinary and take care of the demons, or ghouls, or vampires, whatever terrorizing and rampaging small towns or big cities with their heinous activities. Characters have come and gone but the brothers have always stayed together, except for a c few times when they went their separate ways due to certain disagreements, huge ones, which I will get to later. However, they always seek each other out, accept their fault and apologize. After all, family is family. There are misunderstandings, fights and Bobby Winchester says it the best: ... Dopamine has already been proven to have roles in thinking, memory, movement and reward. However, researchers have shown that dopaminergic neurotransmission plays a central role in modulating pain perception and analgesia within certain parts of the brain including the insula, thalamus, basal ganglia, anterior cingulate cortex and periaqueductal gray. • 23. Themes In Doubt By John Patrick Shanley In the novel Doubt by John Patrick Shanley, he creates doubts in readers minds that have us turning the pages curious of what will happen next. This topic is important in the book because doubt is one of the biggest themes in this novel, it can be apart from all other themes in the book. Doubt creates a lot of different opinions from people, and raises a lot of important discussions. It creates doubt in readers minds whether or not Father Flynn is guilty, he does this by showing us different sides of characters and making us feeling uncertain about our beliefs. In John Patrick Shanley s novel Doubt he opens us up to a whole bunch of different characters, you have Sister Aloysius who is the stern traditionalist and then you have the complete opposite Father Flynn who is a very fun, kind, and progressive person. Sister Aloysius thinks that Father Flynn s ways of living life are very strange and she is appalled by his habits because they are not like her traditionalist ways. Your fingernails, I wear them a little long, the sugar? Oh yes, one? Three. Three. (27 Shanley) Sister Aloysius likes to have her own specific list of beliefs, and traditions so when she sees Father Flynn s long fingernails, and that he finds it ok to have three sugars in his tea, to Aloysius this is such an outrage, she is shocked and appalled by the ways that he enjoys living his life, she tries to hide her disgust but this fails. • 27. The Worst Flood Of The Mississippi River Basin In 1993, the Midwest experienced the worst flood in American history affecting ten states in the Upper Mississippi River basin. The flooding lasted from late spring to fall, killing fifty two people and damaging a 100,000 homes and businesses. The cause of the flooding was a heavy winter with lots of snow and a spring season full of rain, which saturated the soil. Instead, of a hot summer, the rain kept coming and the Upper Mississippi River Basin received three and a half times its normal rain. Since it continuously rained, the water levels kept rising and many of the levees broke. The water levels stayed high for weeks destroying towns and agriculture all throughout the Midwest. One of the main issues leading up to the flood of 1993 was the failed communication and partnership between local, state, and federal governments. The federal government is in charge of floodplain management instead of the local and state government, which prevents local governments becoming involved. This form of management flaw became revealed by the amount of damage the flood made. The reason the damage was so devastating and so many people lost their homes and businesses is because the federal government failed to understand the Executive Order of 1977 and permitted building in the flood plains. Some examples of the EO being understood are a low income housing project funded by HUD and a federally funded state prison within floodplains, and a proposed construction of a federal weather ... Factory farming is an industrial type operation that uses large quantities of animals to provide food fast and efficiently. Factory farming is unethical because the practices are uneconomical, unsanitary, and unnecessary. Artistic interpretation: Giovanni Francesco Guerrieri s Judith With the Head of Holofernes Giovanni Francesco Guerrieri s oil painting Judith With the Head of Holofernes (1626) depicts the Biblical heroine dressed in Renaissance style clothing. She has impassive, beautiful face. Judith has long, flowing blonde hair, pale blue eyes, and the neckline of her dress is modest. Judith looks slightly pregnant because of the folds of her gown. The sleeves of her dress are large, pink, and puffy, further contributing to her feminine appearance, as does her small, dangling earrings. In one hand, the beautiful woman holds the beheaded face of Holofernes. Holofernes eyes are closed and he has a snarled, scraggly beard. His face is pale and ashen and blends into the background. The dead man s face is a stark contrast to Judith s beauty. In the opposite hand Judith holds a sword. Although her hand has a golden, delicate bracelet, her arm is clenching the sword in a strong, muscular fashion and the sword is not in its scabbard, suggesting that Judith is still a vital, active warrior. Judith is speaking to a man (or perhaps a woman) with a covered head. The figure is much older than Judith, and looks at her with wonderment, his long nose crinkled with horror. About polyunsaturated fats also known as PUFAs. PUFAs are consisted of one unsaturated carbon bond in the molecule called a double bond Omega 3 and Omega 6, and they are easily found in oils. Our bodies can make most of the fats that are needed, however a member of the University of Maryland s Medical System stated that our bodies can t make some of the essential fatty acids, also known as Omega 3s and Omega 6s. Omega 3 is very essential because it helps all of our tissues in our bodies function. Research shows that it can also help reduce inflammation and it may help lower risk of chronic diseases such as heart disease, cancer and arthritis. Omega 3 lowers the levels of Triglycerides (fats in the blood), when your blood is filled with triglycerides it gets thick which makes your heart work harder than usual. • 45. Dynamic Stretching Research Paper There are several factors that tie into aiding a great recovery; Mobility is amongst them. Mobility is the ability to move freely and easily. The desired goal of continued mobilization is to slowly increase the athlete s range of motion (ROM). This requires much work such as dynamic stretching after workouts or just every day routines. Dynamic stretching has been proven to be quite effective when it comes to maintaining health and ROM. For some Athletes, dynamic stretching may require aid tools to help release the build up of accumulated lactic acid that basic stretching cannot reach. This type of stretching would be one that the end position is not held, for instance, walking lunches, and walking kicks. These techniques are deemed a form of SMR therapy. This therapy goal is to stimulate the stretch reflex in muscles from applying a somewhat ridged object to a pressure point, soar muscle, or just continued therapy. The desired goal of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness, otherwise known as DOMS, happens when the muscle tissue is stressed beyond what it is accustomed to. The stresses on the muscles cause microscopic tears to the muscle fibers, which then lead to delayed soreness, stiffness, and discomfort making it difficult to perform simple tasks throughout the day. DOMS would be the best possible scenario for lactic acid build up, but in emergency situations lactic acid has shown to be detrimental causing cell necrosis and in some cases death. When there is an extremity that is cut off from blood flow, the tissues in that specific area create a lactic acid build up that if released too quickly back into the bloodstream could cause the heart to stop beating. This situation is very common in crush injuries; emergency personnel now have strict protocol to prevent this situation from occurring. Some preventative methods and recovery techniques to prevent that surplus of lactic acid for minor and major buildup, one might use ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 46. Bachelor Of Kinesiology Program Analysis Good morning members of the University of Toronto admissions board. I would just like to begin by thanking you all for allowing me to stand here in front of you today as you listen to my application for a spot in your Bachelor of Kinesiology Program. After a long pursuit of trying to find the right program, I came across yours and once I read the program description I knew right away that this was the program for me. Not only do I think that this program is the perfect fit for me, I also believe that I am the most deserving candidate. But why you may ask? What separates me from the rest? Three reasons why I would make a deserving candidate for your Bachelor of Kinesiology Program include the following: I possess a superlative work ethic, I have a passion to learn about the human body, along with my remarkable interpersonal skills. The first thing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... From an early age I have been fascinated by the workings of life. The human body is a remarkable machine, the way bones break, muscles tear, and how when injuries like that happen your body instantly starts to repair itself. My passion for the human body continues to grow each day, and when I find out new information on it I can t help but become infatuated. For instance, I remember my mom used to get these really bad leg cramps, she explained it as a sharp, excruciating pain that made her unable to even stand, and I would always help her by massaging the area. It got to the point where every time she got a cramp she would call out for me to help her because I always made the pain go away. Our body is something that we have with us forever and to me, learning about our body s physiological and biomechanical responses to exercise is something that intrigues me. Your Kinesiology program focuses a lot on these topics, and I think that this course would be extremely beneficial to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 47. This American Life Essay Sample After listening to This American Life by Ira Glass, I can identify some reasons how it relates to our Public Speaking class. The podcast is relevant to our coursework because it contains a lot of the topics that we discussed in our textbook. I think that it is relevant to us as Public Speaking students because it is full of different ideas and dialect. I believe that this podcast was assigned for us to listen to because it contains many of the things that are discussed by our textbook. For example, when Donald Trump is talking about polls he cites his source verbally by saying it was from the Center of Security Policy (Glass, 15). Here, Donald Trump verbally signals his source and avoids plagiarism, which is defined as presenting another ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Another example that stuck out to me that was something we discussed in class and was in our textbook was listening. When Tom Emmer is talking at his town hall and Sue keeps saying that he wasn t listening to her Tom Emmer says to Zoe Chace that he felt like the people at the town hall said he was telling them and that he wasn t listening (Glass, 5). How I think this relates to the book is in Chapter 3 the book talks about listening. The book discusses things like being an active listener, as well as, critical and comprehensive listening. I think that both Sue and Tom Emmer were not being very good active listeners and were not listening critically or comprehensively. Sue wasn t listening to the idea the Tom had that they could not just keep Somali Muslims out of St. Cloud so she wasn t listening to understand the message of the speaker and she also was not listening to evaluate a message for purposes of accepting or rejecting it (Lucas, 49) (Glass, 5). Tom was also not being a good active listener because he got stuck on the first point that Sue was saying and did not listener to the rest of the things that she had to say. Granted, Sue wasn t making a very reasonable point by trying to state that people couldn t legally come to America (Glass, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
