Respiratory Chains
All living cells that are able to divide and receive the parental genetic material, are depending on
permanent delivery of energy which is stored in reusable forms. Being separated from the outside
environment, within this cells, endo and exothermal reactions are present, allowing them to provide
their own vital processes and to synthetize their own components (Lodish et al., 2000). Photosynthesis
and respiration, the most important energetic processes occurring in the cellular membranes, are
transforming one form of energy into another. Photosystems are able to transform the energy of
photons into chemical energy which is stored in molecules like ATP or NADPH. Furthermore, the
chemical energy of reduced compounds by oxidation processes is transformed, by the respiratory
chains, also into molecules like ATP (Lodish et al., 2000, Hohmann Marriott et al., 2011). ... Show

The direction of electrons through the respiratory chain is driven by the redox potential of each of the
elements the measure of affinity to electrons which moves from the negative redox potential to the
positive redox potential (Lenaz et al., 2010). Respiratory chains are mainly composed of large multi
subunit protein complexes containing several cofactors. The biogenesis of respiratory chain is a highly
ordered and sophisticated process. This process includes: translation, protein insertion into the
membrane cofactor insertion and the assembly of the subunits into multi subunit protein complexes.
Any defect in one of this steps can terminate the biogenesis and can result in severe impairments of
respiratory chains, which is why these processes are very important for all living organisms (Diaz et

Conclusion The definition of a leader can vary, but the simplest definition is someone who has
followers. More specifically, leadership is a process of social influence, which maximizes the efforts
of others, towards the achievement of a goal. Leaders take on great responsibility, they are open
minded, organized, and take initiative. Nelson Mandela embodied numerous characteristics of an

Mandela was one of the most influential political leaders. Mandela has an impressive background
which has shaped his leadership philosophy. In 1918, Rolihlahla (Nelson) Mandela was born into a
family with a background of political influence. His father, Nkosi Mphakanyiswa Gadla Mandela, was
the principal counselor to the Acting King of the Thembu people. His father passed away when he was
only twelve years old, but he had instilled enough knowledge and influence for Nelson to know that
he wanted to make a contribution to the freedom struggle of his people. After the death of his father,
Mandela grew up in a relatively affluent household. He was brought into the royal family of the

Belle s Famous Ribs
Grilling has always been a favorite pastime in most American families. Although some people choose
to cook hamburgers and hot dogs, others prefer to grill ribs. Grilling ribs can be more complicated
than cooking the average hamburger or hot dog; if it is done wrong, the ribs can become so tough that
they are inedible. Thankfully, there are recipes like Belle s Famous Ribs to help BBQ novices make
perfect ribs.. This recipe is an easy recipe that can be mastered by any level cook when they follow
three easy steps: gathering ingredients; preparing and using the dry rub; and cooking and grilling the
ribs. The first thing to do before starting this recipe is to find and purchase a good rack of pork ribs.
The best place to buy ribs is your local

The Importance Of Curfew Laws In Baltimore
Law enforcers and city officials in Baltimore are cracking down on the curfew for children in their
city. Recent events such as a 3 year old being killed by a stray bullet make law enforcers believe that
having a curfew can help to protect innocent children from misfortunate events. The new curfew states
that children younger than 14 must be inside by nine o clock, while 14 16 year olds have to be home
by ten o clock on school nights. On weekends and summer nights 14 16 year olds can be out until
eleven o clock.
Some parents of teenagers are glad that a new curfew is being put in place; however, not every person
feels the same way. For example, the American Civil Liberties Union believes that the curfew might
cause an increase in juvenile criminals due to rebellions ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The teenager in me says, No. The considerate human in me who wants to prevent drugs and alcohol in
children says, Yes. When I really consider this, and place myself in a teenager s shoes in Baltimore, I
am still undecided. Based on my personal experience, which is minimal, I don t believe a curfew is
going to help many of the children or parents in Baltimore. Therefore, I don t believe this policy will
be worthwhile. The curfew might help one or two kids seek proper help; however I find it hard to
imagine that one policy setting a curfew can fix adolescent behavior. If the people in Baltimore are
willing to put in the time and money of following through with this policy to help just a handful of
children, then I think they should go through with it, but if they are expecting massive results, this
policy should be revised. The children who could receive better futures because of this policy are the
people who should get to decide if they want it or not, but the people who should have the most say in
the matter are the ones with the smallest voices of

Communication Bridges the Generational Divide Essay
Introduction
Effective leaders of my age are faced with a few challenges, quite a few actually. One being the
generational divide that currently exists between four different workplace peer groups: Traditionalists,
Baby Boomers, my age group of Generation X, and Millennials. Aside from increased global
diversity, our workforce has mushroomed with generational cultures as well. Young associates of
today are the future leaders of tomorrow, yet there is an obligation to honor the long term commitment
of our older associates. When bridging these distinct generations, the question I raise is: How do we
develop and keep both spectrums of talent within the organization? I do agree that the way a leader
communicates is largely determined by their ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
(Generation X., 2014). The previous generation has not excelled at sharing expertise and experience,
yet we have not been proactively seeking knowledge. As the second youngest generation, we have not
been equipped with the leadership skills and knowledge needed to assume any upcoming
responsibility. The need for leaders to collaborate, and communicate openly are foregone conclusions.
We ve become a global, connected society adapting to change, and Generation X is the bridge between
the Boomers and the Millennials. I have outlined some specifics on how my generation of leaders can
take charge and lead well?
1) Gen Xers must learn how to take care of themselves. We must push aside our stereotypical lack of
concern and use our coping skills we earned growing up to positively effect change.
2) Self knowledge is the most important tool that good leaders possess. Gen Xers need to be aware of
strong points, and gain insight about shortcomings, then chart a path towards success.
3) Gen X was found to be more team oriented than the Boomers in studies conducted by Karp and
Sirias (Arnold, 1998). Having fun on the job is meaningful to this group; which has created a
leadership style that sets them apart from the older generations.
4) Perhaps the strongest characteristic to highlight is a strong stance on a work/life balance. They are
willing to work hard but don t live to work

Miss Emily Questions
In William Faulkner s A Rose for Emily, the elderly woman is mysterious, suspicious, and a murderer.
Throughout the story the narrator talks a little about Emily s back story but the narrator does go as far
as telling about her child hood growing up but instead talks about her life from the time she is a young
adult until she is an elder. We start to see that there are some unanswered questions throughout the
entire story, and even with the surprise ending it still leaves us with a lot of questions that need to be
answered. Since the narrator didn t give that much of a backstory regarding Miss Emily, we must
come up with theories and conclusions to answer our own questions. First, we see that Miss Emily is
mysterious even from the very beginning because the narrator talks about how her house used to be,
white, decorated with cupolas, and spires, and scrolled balconies . By the way the narrator describes
her house it seems that it used to be very beautiful and full of life, but now the, garages and cotton
gins had encroached and obliterated . The narrator mentions in the story is that Miss Emily had a
manservant; we start to ask ourselves the question that if she has a servant to wait on her hand and
foot than how could she let her house get in such a bad shape like that when she could have asked her
servant to keep the house tidy since she is too old to do it herself. Another thing that is mysterious is
that the narrator mentions that she hardly ever leaves her house

When they show up, it is almost certain that death is near. After digging a little deeper, one will find
that Koontz knew what he was doing when he picked this name. It is an old Scottish term that is now
commonly referred to as the bogeyman. In an article written by Matt Staggs, this was proven to be a
fact. He goes to say that Even in Scottish folklore, they can appear as omens of death. It is the tiny
details like this that make a film stand out from others, and Sommers did an excellent job of creating
these scary little monsters. They instill a sense of fear in the audience whenever they turn up and
represent the horror that would soon take over Pico Mundo.
With all the seriousness going on, Sommers somehow manages to throw in a little bit of humor to
keep things light by introducing the dead that linger. For whatever reason, some of the dead decide not
to move on, and their spirits stay trapped with the living. It is always nice to have a bit of comedy
mixed into thriller movies, because then you start to become more relaxed. It is easier to be caught off
guard if you are enjoying yourself, and the best part of thrillers is to not expect what the outcome will

Summary Of The Video The Danger Of A Single Story
Throughout the semester the language, literacy, and liberation of Africa have been explored in
multiple aspects. However, another topic that seems practically unavoidable when discussing these
things, is the struggle and violence experienced in the process of colonization and liberation.
Throughout history, africans had to endure a lot of anguish, both mental and physical. But, while
sitting in class and taking in the videos, and discussions, I came to a startling realization: the global
fight for black people is more than a simple guns and knives battle, it is a mental battleground.
Chapter 1 of The Power of Babel basically speaks of the racism that came along with the colonization
of African countries. It specifically states that European ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Perspective is more of a mental thing that would have to be changed by changing the mental image
rather than an outbreak of war. By presenting a single narrative or perspective of the continent was
another way that they were able to cause a negative or inferior outlook on people of African descent.
Many people only know of the poor African aspect of the country, when the truth of the matter is that
Africa is one of the richest continents, in the world as far as raw materials. In addition, there are also
multiple areas in Africa that are just as urbanized as New York City, but those are not the areas that the
media selects when portraying the continent. Also, from an American perspective, many African
Americans are portrayed as people that commit crimes and typically end up either dead or in prison.
However few take the time to report on the high achieving blacks that are graduating high school and
college with honors, attending top schools like Harvard, or working as successful entrepreneurs. But,
when the media routinely presents these negative portrayals then it leads people who only get this
single story to develop a prejudice against the entire race. This prejudice could transfer over into
deadly situations, such as the infamous recent police shootings. Many believe that the prejudiced
views that some people hold on account of the media, accounts for some if not all of those fatal
gunshots. Furthermore, to combat the prejudice, it is important to combat the single story , and that
just requires that we pressure the media to broadcast us in a more positive light to start dissolving
those negative

Grimm Brothers Literary Analysis
From 1812 to 1857, the Grimm Brothers collected and shared stories that continue to be told to this
day. Middle class women that were recognized for their storytelling abilities would visit the Grimm
brothers, who would then transcribe the women s stories (Thury, Eva M., and Margaret Klopfle
Devinney 578) that were then edited and published. The different stories the brothers collected ranged
from fairy tales, horror stories, tall tales and comical accounts (578). Foreign rule created a strong
desire within the countrymen to recall their Germanic roots to figure their cultural worth (578). This
enhanced the Grimm brother s purpose of sharing these stories to preserve living artifacts from ancient
times. It was believed that preserving native ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When his father, Mufasa, is killed in a wildebeest stampede, he is faced with the guilt he feels for
causing the stampede and goaded by his uncle Scar to run away. Scar then sends his hyenas to hunt
down and kill Simba. This begins one of the many trials Simba must face throughout his hero s
journey. These hyenas are the same hyenas that Mufasa saved Simba from; so now Simba is alone,
afraid, and unwilling to fight. Finally Simba escapes into the heat and despair of the desert. When
Simba gives up, he is saved by the comedic duo Timon and Pumba. Timon and Pumba take in Simba,
teaching him their way of life. This way of life revolves mainly around the phrase Hakuna Matata ,
which means to forget the troubled past and live in the present. Simba grows up with Timon and
Pumba, hiding his past and pulling himself away from Pride Rock completely. This seems to work in
our hero s favor until a blast from his past side swipes the rug right out from under Simba. Nala, who
was desperately scavenging for food, runs into Simba and almost immediately brings every memory
back that Simba worked so hard to forget. Nala tells Simba that Scar and his hyenas have taken over

Business Unit 8 P1
Trade Description Act 1968
This Act protects consumers from misleading descriptions which the business has said about their
products and services. It would be a criminal offence if the business trader was to:
Apply a false description about any goods or services
Supply a false description to goods when sold
Give false statements about the provision of services, accommodation or facilities
False trade descriptions
This is when the business says anything that is untrue about the product which is being sold. This
could be the description of the materials in the product or how it was manufactured. It would be a
crime if the seller knows or is reckless about the accuracy of the statement. Example of this would be
a business saying that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If this involves a customer this would come under the trade description Act. If it is a private contract
between individuals, or between companies it will come under the Misrepresentation act 1967.
Example would be a contract between individuals selling a gold iPhone when it wasn t real gold. As
this was a untrue statement the Act would protect the customer. If the trade descriptions was to be used
the business would get fined and it would only to use for consumer law. When using the
Misrepresentation Act would have to be something serious and not over something that is minor as it
wouldn t be worth going to court for.
Fraudulent misrepresentation
This is when the seller deliberately makes false statements of goods and this would be called fraud
which is a criminal offence. Example of this would be someone selling a fake Apple watch and told
the buyer that s its real when it s not. Under the Act, the court would fine the person that sold the
watch. The customer that is affected would be able to cancel the contract and claim their money back.
Innocent misrepresentation
This is when a trader made a false statement of a product or service but believed that the statement
was true. Example of this would be a trader saying that the phone is water proof but it real isn t. this

The Mormon Church
I was raised in what now would be called White privilege. The Edgemont area in Provo, Utah was an
extremely homogenous culture. My family, along with most of the other families in my neighborhood
were young, White, middle class, highly educated, conservative, heterosexual, and Mormon with
European ancestry. My father, along with most of the other fathers in the neighborhood, was a
professor at Brigham Young University. Our culture was based on the teachings of the Mormon
Church with a rich pioneer heritage which we celebrated every 24th of July. As children, we would
don pioneer garb, decorate wagons and bikes to look like covered wagons or handcarts and march
around the church building pretending to be pioneers. Not only was this event fun, but we could feel
the pioneer blood flowing through our veins. The pioneers represented to us hard work, sacrifice,
devotion, obedience, courage, fortitude and love of God.
The Mormon Church was organized in 1830, as a collectivist society where the good of the church
was more important than the individual. In those days, when the church gave a member an
assignment, including leaving the family to go on a mission, moving to a new location, or allowing a
husband to marry another wife, and performed these tasks no matter the personal sacrifice required.
The collectivist practice of the United Order was instituted in the late 1800 s in a small town in
Southern Utah called Orderville. My Great grandparents were part of this system where

Examples of Presentation Punishment and Removal Punishment
Punishment
Punishment is a consequence that decreases the frequency of the behavior it follows. There are two
different categories that punishment can fall under: presentation punishment and removal punishment.
Presentation punishment involves introducing a new and unpleasant stimulus. Removal punishment
involves removing a wanted stimulus. Punishment in educational settings has been a particularly
controversial subject, since many people view punishment as something barbaric or cruel. Also, if
administered incorrectly punishment can have adverse effects.
There are times when reinforcement would not suffice and punishment may be deemed necessary.
Particularly when the bad behavior has no known reinforcement and no other method has worked.
When dealing out punishment it is important to determine which type would be most effective and
fair. Punishments that have proven effective to some degree are: scolding, response cost, logical
consequence, positive practice overcorrection, time out, and in school suspension.
There are also punishments that are not affective or that actually end up having adverse effects. These
include: physical punishment, psychological punishment, extra classwork, and out of school
suspension. In particular, out of school suspension can be very bad and unfair for students. This is
particularly true for students who already have academic problems.
It should always be made clear what behaviors could result in punishment. This alone could be

Comparing My American Dream
I would define my American Dream as having my dream job of becoming a neurosurgeon, marrying

everything. I also have always wanted to travel the world and see many different places. I want to be
very successful in life and to be able to do whatever I can for my family. My biggest part of my dream
is to have fun no matter what I m doing, who I m doing it with, or where I m doing it. All of these
little dreams make up the American Dream that I have always had ever since I was a little kid. The
first thing that I would want to accomplish is getting a good job that can always financially support
me, even if there is a downfall in the economy. I have always wanted to be a neurosurgeon but now

The Importance Of Personal Privacy
Warrantless searches of a student s person raise significant legal questions. Unlike locker searches, it
cannot be asserted that there is a lower expectation of privacy. Students have a legitimate expectation
of privacy in the contents of their pockets and their person. The Fifth Circuit noted: The Fourth
Amendment applies with its fullest vigor against any intrusion on the human body. In personal
searches, not only is it necessary to have reasonable cause to search, but also the search itself must be
reasonable. Reasonableness is assessed in terms of the specific facts and circumstances of a case.
Metal Detectors. Metal detectors are used in airports and many public buildings, but their use does
constitute a search for Fourth Amendment purposes. General scanning of students with metal detectors
is only minimally intrusive on students Fourth Amendment rights when weighed against school
officials interest in providing a safe school environment.
Metal detectors became more commonplace in school environments in the 1990s causing their
constitutionality to be challenged. However, courts soon clarified that individualized suspicion was
not needed for schools to use of metal detectors. For example, the Pennsylvania high court upheld a
general, uniform search of all students for weapons as they entered the high school building; each
student s personal belongings were searched, and then a security officer scanned each student with a
metal detector. The court concluded that the

News Media and the Coverage of Darfur Our news media is as celebrity obsessed as the rest of the
nation. And why shouldn t it be? The articles and television news coverage of celebrities is going to
sell a lot more magazines and draw in a lot more viewers than something depressing and/or hard to
understand like a genocide. Let s face it, when people come home from a long, hard day at work, they
want to be entertained, not forced to think of the bad things happening in the world. Plus, thanks to a
sub par educational system in the United States that teaches to the test and lets important subjects such
as geography and social sciences fall by the wayside, many people don t even know where these
places are that are experiencing humanitarian crises. They can t be expected to be interested in places

How come they have never met each other? Hey, but they all live in Canada and all met the

they brought drug which is illegal to the Inuit. To the Haida it was bad cause they took/killed all the

The Current Construction Site ( Cdsm Interpretation Centre...
CDSM Scheme Executive Summary:
Introduction:
The current construction site (CDSM interpretation centre scheme) is located in Combe Down village
on the east side of rock hall lane near Combe Road. The CDSM interpretation centre scheme is part of
£161 million Comb Down Stone Mine project which is estimated about £1.5 million and compromise
of eight residential houses, one residential flat and one interpretation centre.
History back ground:
Historical aspects are long associated with the city of Bath which is distinguished by its buildings and
Roman characteristics. The Southern area of Bath is the location of Combe Down, which has been
understood to be of archaeological significance. It is this attribute that gave rise to the extraction and
quarrying of high quality stone as far back as 1720.
Ralph Allen Yard (located in the eastern section of Combe Down) is an area that malting s and
industrial activity had been prominent to certain extent. However, over several decades, the yard itself
has been subjected to continuous alteration leading to structural deterioration and redundancy to its
use. The historic significance associated to structural elements of the yard include its exterior walls,
which comprised of stone (Bath Stone). Modern practice had altered these walls with the introduction
of steel frames, which has the potential to reduce the character of the streetscape.
Health and safety:

Wal Mart s Latest Ethics Controversy Essay
Wal Mart s Latest Ethics Controversy
Wal Mart Stores, Inc. is the world s largest retail enterprise, with total revenue of $421.8 billion and a
net income of $16.4 billion in 2011. 1 It is also the world s largest employer, with 2.1 million
employees worldwide in 2010 2, not including workers hired by its providers. In my opinion, Wal
Mart provides a clear illustration through which to look at how many multinational companies
(MNCs) take part in an illegal and unethical behavior. They use their bargaining power and market
control to pressure countries to overlook environmental degradation and violation of national labor
laws. They dictate expected pricing for products, particularly through imports from overseas countries.
Labor is fulfilled mostly by underage and underpaid employees. In the United States, since 2005, Wal
Mart has paid about $1 billion in damages to U.S. employees in six different cases related to unpaid
work. 3 Furthermore, Wal Mart opposes any form of collective action, even when employees are not
seeking unionization, but simply more respect. 4 The fact that Wal Mart opposes unions exist. The
company has a long history of fighting them, to the point of closing stores after employees organize.
Managers have been instructed to talk to their teams about why unions are so unwanted in their
business. Overseas, the company was involved in a series of scandals, including multiple cases of
bribery. In April 2012, The New York Times published a story that

Tools of Research
TOOLS OF RESEARCH
* Research Tool is a specific mechanism or strategy the researcher uses to collect, manipulate, or
interpret data. * Research Methodology is the general approach the researcher takes in carrying out the
research project, to some extent, this approach dictates the particular tools that the researcher selects.
THE SIX GENERAL TOOLS OF RESEARCH 1. The library and its resources
For thousands of years, the library served primarily as a repository of books and manuscripts. It was,
for the most part, only a slowly expanding universe of knowledge, one that could be comfortably
contained within masonry walls.
In the 20th century, the role of the library changed. An explosion of information occurred. Research

For example, 40° C does not represent a temperature which has twice the heat of 20° C because the
zero on the Celsius scale is arbitrary, and does not represent an absence of heat. However, when we
consider the metric system for temperature (known as degrees Kelvin ), then there is a true zero
(called absolute zero ). Therefore, a measure of 40K (i.e. 40 degrees Kelvin) is twice as hot as 20K.
STATISTICAL PROBABILITY OF THE SCALE * Nominal Scale enables one to determine the
mode, the percentage values, or the chi square. * Ordinal Scale enables one also to determine the
median, percentile rank, and rank correlation. * Interval Scale enables one also to determine the mean,
standard deviation, and product moment correlation. * Ratio Scale enables one also to determine the
geometric mean and percentage variation.
* VALIDITY AND RELIABILITY OF MEASUREMENT
Validity the validity of a measurement instrument is the extent to which the instrument measures what
it is supposed to measure.
Reliability is the consistency with which a measuring instrument yields a certain result when the entity
being measured hasn t changed. To apply these concepts to social research, we want to use
measurement tools that are both reliable and valid. We want questions that yield consistent responses
when asked multiple times this is reliability. Similarly, we want questions that get accurate responses
from respondents this is validity.

In the early 1980 s, IBM chose to purchase Intel s x86 chip architecture and the DOS software
operating system designed by Microsoft (Singer, 2005). IBM insisted that Intel provide a second

AMD signed a technology exchange agreement to make AMD that second supplier ( Company

In the 1980 s Intel attempted to eliminate AMD from the process with the 386 family of chips (Singer,

a shared interest in the x86 chip design, which is still being used today in personal

Cryptography Essay
Abstract With the expansion in the field of computers and highly technically advanced communication
mediums like internet there is a necessity to secure the transmission of data. The information that is
transmitted over the internet is a highly sensitive and critical information which needs to be protected
from adversaries, hackers, and eavesdroppers etc. who bypass the existing security and perform
dangerous actions. Cryptography is the art and science of keeping the data transfer secure from
adversaries, hackers and eavesdroppers. Cryptography and its algorithm forms one of the essential
components to the security mechanisms in order to safeguard the data transmissions and data storage.
Without the use of cryptography the emails and information can be intercepted without any authorized
access.
After researching academic papers related to cryptography I understand the basic working of DES
algorithm and the cracking of the DES algorithm by brute force technology. I would like to explore
the cryptographic algorithms, the flaws associated with the algorithm. In this paper, I will discuss
about the DES algorithm and deficiency with the DES algorithm. I will discuss the existing problem
with double DES algorithm and the basics about the Triple DES and the problem with respect to the
Triple DES. A brief overview of AES has been provided.

Analysis Of The Games
During DJ s observation we witnessed him being very playful with other classmates. He seems to
always want to be the one to choose the game and organized it by who can play. DJ picks games
where more than 2 people can play. The games are very organized to where everyone has to take turns.
Representational mapping is the category we believe he fell under. DJ was very organized with his
games, he would choose people to play in the games. While watching DJ play he s very active and
likes to talk a lot. When talking to his friends he mentions all the fun cool things he s able to do by
running fast, he can make it to the next corner in just three seconds. He tries to show the kids the
things he can do and it quickly becomes a competition with the boys. DJ is very friendly with his
classmates and takes turns when told. However, when DJ picks a game and he gets out he s not too
happy. He starts to throw a little fit. His fits consist of him complaining about how it s not fair, how
classmates cheated and then he stomps and starts to cry. At this point other teachers are trying to calm
him down and or puts him in a corner. DJ is showing signs of contingent self esteem. As soon as he s
on a roll and shows the kids that he can play these games he s happy. But once he gets out he quickly
becomes sad and angry at himself showing that he is helpless. Most children around the age of six
tend to feel this way. For example: children who are playing a game and don t quite get the game

February 23, 1988, the Cubs made the decision to install lights in Wrigley Field.
The first official night game was scheduled for August 8, 1988, but the game was
cancelled after four innings due to rain. The first official game was played the next

There have also been recent renovations to the ballpark. After the 2003

were added to the bleachers making the capacity a little over 41,000. During the
2007 off season, the whole field was replaced because Wrigley Field was known
around the Major Leagues to have one of the worst playing surfaces in all of

In 2009, the Tribune Company sold the Chicago Cubs to the Ricketts family

The Life of A Pharmacy Technician
During the years, Pharmacy has became one of many huge professions to take. Numerous people will
tell you that, you do not hanve to go to school to become a Pharmacy Technician; but if you do not
know anything about this profession you are going in clueless. Fortis college was my greatest
experiance, with the most amazing people people, and teachers. If it was not for school I would
definietly not know the accuracy of speed, the multitasking with communication, and computer skills
for a pharmacy that is needed. Being fast at what you do with know mistakes is a major task to know
in a pharmacy world. In retail pharmacy there are many prescriptions a day, so speed for counting and
lableing is a must. They do not want you to go to fast though because they want accuracy also. Even
with competetitors, this is where our speed needs to be, to get patients in and out with smiling faces.
For instance, Wallgreens where my extern is, since I have been there we had about 30 to 40 people

speed. It is either on your toes you are good to go, or on your butt all the time out the door kind of

best friends. On a tuesday when I was at Wallgreens, for an example, a lady came in and one of the

Most of these companies started out as ideas that developed into businesses. The reason why all these
companies are located in Silicon Valley is because is the gold mine of where dreams come true.
Silicon Valley did not start with that name and in fact it only started when eight men built a company,
which would later become known as Fairchild Semiconductor. At the head of the formation of Silicon
Valley was a man named Robert Noyce he was a physicist and a born salesman. The eight men all
worked for a brilliant physicist named William Shockley, who was the co inventor of the transistor.
The transistor was a revolutionary invention that became a step towards the microchip (American

semiconductor company. He had hired eight PhD graduates to work with him and improve the
semiconductor and create new technologies. The eight men all focused on different fields there were
physicists, mechanical and electrical engineers, metallurgists, and tool builders. Unlike Shockley, they
were young men almost all under thirty. The laboratory was located in the valley because of Shockley
s personal ties to that area. The work environment at Shockley Semiconductor Laboratory was not
very inviting, which led to the eight men resenting Shockley. Realizing that Shockley would not be

Despite Zach Miller becoming a favorite target for Cutler last season, Chicago has a lot of answered
questions remaining at the tight end position. As this week s minicamp practices come to an end, the

Moeaki was simply using the minicamp as an effort to try out and be noticed by someone on the Bears

Kitagawa Utamaro And Paul Gauguin s Use Of Color Techniques
Describe specifically what the term arbitrary color means, a color used at random for objects that have
a common color, such as, a tree has green leaves, but we choose to make the leave purple or making
the sun black, the clouds green, or the sky yellow, etc.
Who was the first artist to employ the technique? I would have to say Katsushika Hokusai, Kitagawa
Utamaro, and And¯o Hiroshige had a role in the technique. The technique was used in And¯o
Hiroshige color woodcut print, ( Moon Pine at Ueno from One Hundred Views of Famous Places in
Edo ), (Pg. 27), because of the color use. The colors seem to be out of place, such as, the sky s
appearance being that of black, blue, and green, also the tree appears to have a redder tent than what
we would normally see in nature. Hiroshige and other Japanese artists had gotten young artist thinking
about color, arbitrary color, and pure color. One of the artist that took the color techniques from color
woodcut prints and Japanese prints was Paul Gauguin. Gauguin was truly the first to employ arbitrary
color techniques, which can be seen in his (Vision after the Sermon), (Pg. 60), with vivid red paint in
the back ground, splashes of green and blue tenting on the nuns faces, these colors are not known in
nature, and they are non descriptive. It just isn t natural to see these colors placed this way. Thus,
Gauguin s paintings influenced younger artist and affected their ideas in the Nabis and Fauve periods.

Each individual has an image of the child that directs on how they can relate through their own

them, and in their observation. It will become very difficult for a person to behave on contrary to their
behavior. An example of such behavior would be say that one is solely convinced that boys and girls
are different, chances are that this method of thinking will influence one to treat and behave
differently between the boys and girls (Malaguzzi, 1994). In other words, it is possible that he is
stating that one should not immediately conclude on who the child is before even getting to know
them. The vision of Reggio Emilia schools is always changing, but its goal is always the same. The

Whether lease should be classified as finance/capital leases or operating leases, has essential
influences on other issues such as capitalisation of finance/capital leases and disclosure of operating
leases by lessees. Without a clear distinction between a finance/ capital lease and an operating lease, it
is unlikely that the lessee be required to capitalise the lease. This has led to inconsistent accounting for
arrangements that meet the definition of a lease and similar arrangement that do not.
According to AASB 117, the operating lease structure is a form of off balance sheet accounting, which
means the lease obligation is not reported as a liability on the balance sheet. Critics claims that as a
result of desirability of operating lease classification, lease parties commonly structure leases in such a
way to avoid capital lease accounting by a thin margin and uses it as a source of off balance sheet
financing This is a source of unrecognised financing and it can be difficult for users to understand.
Moreover, the adjustments are inconsistent and frequently understate the lease obligations.
Furthermore, the lack of transparency caused by current lease classification rules and the resulting
lease structuring that occurs to avoid meeting those rules creates significant problems for users in
assessing the true financial condition and risk of companies. It can even affects naively calculated debt

The Role Of Advanced Practice Registered Nurse
This paper will focus on the role of the advanced practice registered nurse (APRN), specifically
highlighting the family practitioner and the integral role played with the underserved. The focus will
be on a San Diego nurse s journey to become an APRN and her work in giving back to underserved
communities throughout the county. Mary Baker, MSN, RN, CNS, FNP BC, APHN BC continues to

Historical Perspective
According to the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (N.D.), the progression of the advanced
practice nurse (APN) began nearly 50 years ago. From the advent of the first APN program to the over
350 accredited programs and over 222,000 certified nurse practitioners in the United States, the role of
the APN has significantly increased and expanded a profession to better improve healthcare for
Americans (American Association of Nurse Practitioners, N.D., American Academy of Nurse

Academy of Nurse Practitioners, 2016).
One such family pracitioner began her journey nearly a decade ago. Following a career in information

time of sexual development, peer pressure, and is an important phase in the formation of their identity.
In literature, and in film, the vampire can be perceived as the perfect metaphor for a teenager due to
the parallel nature that they both share and the hardships they endure.
One of the biggest changes during adolescence is that of sexual development, and young adults are

Michael starts out as an ordinary teen at the beginning of the film, but after encountering David and
the Lost Boys, he decides to change his look in attempts to fit in with them and impress Star. In the
boardwalk scene, a tracking shot is used to follow Michael as he checks himself out after buying a
dark leather jacket and walks over to the booth where he wants to get his ear pierced. Wearing dark
sunglasses soon becomes part of his bad boy image, and his mother starts to complain that he is
staying out until the middle of the night and sleeping in all day (Schumacher Bros,1987).
Another instance where rebellion occurs, is when the teenage vampires kill the security guard from the
boardwalk merry go round. By removing the only male and parental authoritative figure (with the
exception of Max, the head vampire and video store owner), the Lost Boys bring about the absence of
competent adult males. As David, the leader of the Lost Boys puts it We do what we want, Michael.
We have complete freedom. Nobody knows about this place and nobody knows about us. Freedom,
Michael. No parents. No rules. Hell, we re as free as

Effects Of High School Start Time Essay
Several high schools all around the United States start school before the recommended time of 8:30 or
later and there is nothing being done to help prevent this. Although it seems that it is just a time,
waking up too early is very detrimental, not only to teenagers, but people of all ages. According to
Zuckerman from the National Center for Health Research, By 2000, many high schools were starting
at 7:30 or earlier . Waking up at this earliest of times can lead to increased depression, drug use,
obesity, conflict, and car accidents in the average teenager. Simply increasing the start time of school
by a single hour can reduce the rate of the effects stated above by at least 70%. Also, according to
Tlumacki and Vaznis from the Boston globe, The CDC has joined a growing number of national
organizations calling for later start times for both high school and middle school students. Those
organizations ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There are already many campaigns and solutions to help end this problem, however, no person has
realized that starting school later is a way to protect this from happening. School start times are the
leading cause of drug use because drug use is prevented by depression and depression may be
happening because of lack of sleep. Researchers have found that after making the start time of school
more reasonable, the use of drugs decreased and almost disappeared completely. For example,
according to the Teen Rehab Center, people aged 12 20 drink a total of 11% of the consumed alcohol
in the US. However, when teens are less sleep deprived, it may make the percentage decrease.
According to some National data recorded by CASAColumbia, a study found by The National Center
on Addiction and Substance Abuse, found that high school students receiving less than 8 hours of
sleep are more likely to use tobacco, alcohol, marijuana, and other drugs compared to those who
receive more than 8

Compare Thomas Paine And Thoreau Civil Disobedience
In the United States of America, individuals have always taken it upon themselves to write the wrong
that they witness in society. This can be portrayed in both Thomas Paine s Common Sense, and Henry
David Thoreau Civil Disobedience. Throughout history, as the times have changed so has individuals
perception on government. Both authors existed at a different time in history, but they both convey a
similar message that citizens should disobey government but their idea of government is completely
different. Henry David Thoreau wrote Civil Disobedience, which is about him trying to persuade
citizens that their obligation is to contravene and correct the unfair laws of the government. Thoreau
begins Civil Disobedience with the view point That government is best which governs least Thomas
Paine wrote Common Sense, to explain his vision of the ideal government, one where people vote and
elect a person to run the country, which is similar to our democracy today( the great power of
government be held in one elected legislature for the nation and one for each individual province ). He
mainly criticizes Great Britain and how we need to break away and become our own country or
government? After his writing went public and explaining what had happened between America and
Great Britain, it was time for America to finally secede.
Thoreau believed that individual integrity had the ability to triumph the government. Thoreau went to
jail because he refused to pay his poll taxes for the past six years. Also, he protested against the
Mexican war, and slavery, which also contributed to him going to jail and his views on the
government. During his short period in jail he clarified that he did not dread it, and portrayed it as
Traveling into a far country (964). Although, Paine thought that individual integrity was very
indistinct and unreasonable. Paine considered his individual rights to be violated by the government...
The main goal that Thomas Paine had for writing Common Sense was for America to break away
from Great Britain and become an independent country. Thoreau and Paine are both suggesting that
the United States citizens should disobey their government, but the ways in which these authors are
suggesting are in

  • 2. Respiratory Chains All living cells that are able to divide and receive the parental genetic material, are depending on permanent delivery of energy which is stored in reusable forms. Being separated from the outside environment, within this cells, endo and exothermal reactions are present, allowing them to provide their own vital processes and to synthetize their own components (Lodish et al., 2000). Photosynthesis and respiration, the most important energetic processes occurring in the cellular membranes, are transforming one form of energy into another. Photosystems are able to transform the energy of photons into chemical energy which is stored in molecules like ATP or NADPH. Furthermore, the chemical energy of reduced compounds by oxidation processes is transformed, by the respiratory chains, also into molecules like ATP (Lodish et al., 2000, Hohmann Marriott et al., 2011). ... This process includes: translation, protein insertion into the membrane cofactor insertion and the assembly of the subunits into multi subunit protein complexes. Any defect in one of this steps can terminate the biogenesis and can result in severe impairments of respiratory chains, which is why these processes are very important for all living organisms (Diaz et al., ... Recent events such as a 3 year old being killed by a stray bullet make law enforcers believe that having a curfew can help to protect innocent children from misfortunate events. The new curfew states that children younger than 14 must be inside by nine o clock, while 14 16 year olds have to be home by ten o clock on school nights. On weekends and summer nights 14 16 year olds can be out until eleven o clock. Some parents of teenagers are glad that a new curfew is being put in place; however, not every person feels the same way. The teenager in me says, No. The considerate human in me who wants to prevent drugs and alcohol in children says, Yes. When I really consider this, and place myself in a teenager s shoes in Baltimore, I am still undecided. Based on my personal experience, which is minimal, I don t believe a curfew is going to help many of the children or parents in Baltimore. Therefore, I don t believe this policy will be worthwhile. The curfew might help one or two kids seek proper help; however I find it hard to imagine that one policy setting a curfew can fix adolescent behavior. If the people in Baltimore are willing to put in the time and money of following through with this policy to help just a handful of children, then I think they should go through with it, but if they are expecting massive results, this policy should be revised. The children who could receive better futures because of this policy are the people who should get to decide if they want it or not, but the people who should have the most say in the matter are the ones with the smallest voices of ... • 6. Communication Bridges the Generational Divide Essay Introduction Effective leaders of my age are faced with a few challenges, quite a few actually. One being the generational divide that currently exists between four different workplace peer groups: Traditionalists, Baby Boomers, my age group of Generation X, and Millennials. Aside from increased global diversity, our workforce has mushroomed with generational cultures as well. Young associates of today are the future leaders of tomorrow, yet there is an obligation to honor the long term commitment of our older associates. When bridging these distinct generations, the question I raise is: How do we develop and keep both spectrums of talent within the organization? I do agree that the way a leader communicates is largely determined by their ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... (Generation X., 2014). The previous generation has not excelled at sharing expertise and experience, yet we have not been proactively seeking knowledge. As the second youngest generation, we have not been equipped with the leadership skills and knowledge needed to assume any upcoming responsibility. The need for leaders to collaborate, and communicate openly are foregone conclusions. We ve become a global, connected society adapting to change, and Generation X is the bridge between the Boomers and the Millennials. I have outlined some specifics on how my generation of leaders can take charge and lead well? 1) Gen Xers must learn how to take care of themselves. We must push aside our stereotypical lack of concern and use our coping skills we earned growing up to positively effect change. 2) Self knowledge is the most important tool that good leaders possess. Gen Xers need to be aware of strong points, and gain insight about shortcomings, then chart a path towards success. 3) Gen X was found to be more team oriented than the Boomers in studies conducted by Karp and Sirias (Arnold, 1998). Having fun on the job is meaningful to this group; which has created a leadership style that sets them apart from the older generations. 4) Perhaps the strongest characteristic to highlight is a strong stance on a work/life balance. • 7. Miss Emily Questions In William Faulkner s A Rose for Emily, the elderly woman is mysterious, suspicious, and a murderer. Throughout the story the narrator talks a little about Emily s back story but the narrator does go as far as telling about her child hood growing up but instead talks about her life from the time she is a young adult until she is an elder. We start to see that there are some unanswered questions throughout the entire story, and even with the surprise ending it still leaves us with a lot of questions that need to be answered. Since the narrator didn t give that much of a backstory regarding Miss Emily, we must come up with theories and conclusions to answer our own questions. First, we see that Miss Emily is mysterious even from the very beginning because the narrator talks about how her house used to be, white, decorated with cupolas, and spires, and scrolled balconies . By the way the narrator describes her house it seems that it used to be very beautiful and full of life, but now the, garages and cotton gins had encroached and obliterated . The narrator mentions in the story is that Miss Emily had a manservant; we start to ask ourselves the question that if she has a servant to wait on her hand and foot than how could she let her house get in such a bad shape like that when she could have asked her servant to keep the house tidy since she is too old to do it herself. Another thing that is mysterious is that the narrator mentions that she hardly ever leaves her house ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In an article written by Matt Staggs, this was proven to be a fact. He goes to say that Even in Scottish folklore, they can appear as omens of death. It is the tiny details like this that make a film stand out from others, and Sommers did an excellent job of creating these scary little monsters. They instill a sense of fear in the audience whenever they turn up and represent the horror that would soon take over Pico Mundo. With all the seriousness going on, Sommers somehow manages to throw in a little bit of humor to keep things light by introducing the dead that linger. For whatever reason, some of the dead decide not to move on, and their spirits stay trapped with the living. • 9. Summary Of The Video The Danger Of A Single Story Throughout the semester the language, literacy, and liberation of Africa have been explored in multiple aspects. However, another topic that seems practically unavoidable when discussing these things, is the struggle and violence experienced in the process of colonization and liberation. Throughout history, africans had to endure a lot of anguish, both mental and physical. But, while sitting in class and taking in the videos, and discussions, I came to a startling realization: the global fight for black people is more than a simple guns and knives battle, it is a mental battleground. Chapter 1 of The Power of Babel basically speaks of the racism that came along with the colonization of African countries. It specifically states that European ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Perspective is more of a mental thing that would have to be changed by changing the mental image rather than an outbreak of war. By presenting a single narrative or perspective of the continent was another way that they were able to cause a negative or inferior outlook on people of African descent. Many people only know of the poor African aspect of the country, when the truth of the matter is that Africa is one of the richest continents, in the world as far as raw materials. In addition, there are also multiple areas in Africa that are just as urbanized as New York City, but those are not the areas that the media selects when portraying the continent. Also, from an American perspective, many African Americans are portrayed as people that commit crimes and typically end up either dead or in prison. However few take the time to report on the high achieving blacks that are graduating high school and college with honors, attending top schools like Harvard, or working as successful entrepreneurs. But, when the media routinely presents these negative portrayals then it leads people who only get this single story to develop a prejudice against the entire race. This prejudice could transfer over into deadly situations, such as the infamous recent police shootings. Many believe that the prejudiced views that some people hold on account of the media, accounts for some if not all of those fatal gunshots. Furthermore, to combat the prejudice, it is important to combat the single story , and that just requires that we pressure the media to broadcast us in a more positive light to start dissolving those negative ... My family, along with most of the other families in my neighborhood were young, White, middle class, highly educated, conservative, heterosexual, and Mormon with European ancestry. My father, along with most of the other fathers in the neighborhood, was a professor at Brigham Young University. Our culture was based on the teachings of the Mormon Church with a rich pioneer heritage which we celebrated every 24th of July. As children, we would don pioneer garb, decorate wagons and bikes to look like covered wagons or handcarts and march around the church building pretending to be pioneers. Not only was this event fun, but we could feel the pioneer blood flowing through our veins. The pioneers represented to us hard work, sacrifice, devotion, obedience, courage, fortitude and love of God. The Mormon Church was organized in 1830, as a collectivist society where the good of the church was more important than the individual. In those days, when the church gave a member an assignment, including leaving the family to go on a mission, moving to a new location, or allowing a husband to marry another wife, and performed these tasks no matter the personal sacrifice required. The collectivist practice of the United Order was instituted in the late 1800 s in a small town in Southern Utah called Orderville. My Great grandparents were part of this system where ... There are two different categories that punishment can fall under: presentation punishment and removal punishment. Presentation punishment involves introducing a new and unpleasant stimulus. Removal punishment involves removing a wanted stimulus. Punishment in educational settings has been a particularly controversial subject, since many people view punishment as something barbaric or cruel. Also, if administered incorrectly punishment can have adverse effects. There are times when reinforcement would not suffice and punishment may be deemed necessary. Particularly when the bad behavior has no known reinforcement and no other method has worked. When dealing out punishment it is important to determine which type would be most effective and fair. Punishments that have proven effective to some degree are: scolding, response cost, logical consequence, positive practice overcorrection, time out, and in school suspension. There are also punishments that are not affective or that actually end up having adverse effects. These include: physical punishment, psychological punishment, extra classwork, and out of school suspension. In particular, out of school suspension can be very bad and unfair for students. This is particularly true for students who already have academic problems. It should always be made clear what behaviors could result in punishment. This alone could be ... The articles and television news coverage of celebrities is going to sell a lot more magazines and draw in a lot more viewers than something depressing and/or hard to understand like a genocide. Let s face it, when people come home from a long, hard day at work, they want to be entertained, not forced to think of the bad things happening in the world. Plus, thanks to a sub par educational system in the United States that teaches to the test and lets important subjects such as geography and social sciences fall by the wayside, many people don t even know where these places are that are experiencing humanitarian crises. They can t be expected to be interested in places of which they have never heard. This, at least, is the common perception among the media today. In 2005, the collective news media channels of this country ran 55 times as many stories about Michael Jackson and his trial for alleged child sexual abuse than they did regarding the genocide going on in Darfur. In fact, MTVu, which is the university station for MTV, did a more thorough job of covering Darfur than any of the major media outlets in the United States. In my opinion, Wal Mart provides a clear illustration through which to look at how many multinational companies (MNCs) take part in an illegal and unethical behavior. They use their bargaining power and market control to pressure countries to overlook environmental degradation and violation of national labor laws. They dictate expected pricing for products, particularly through imports from overseas countries. Labor is fulfilled mostly by underage and underpaid employees. He seems to always want to be the one to choose the game and organized it by who can play. DJ picks games where more than 2 people can play. The games are very organized to where everyone has to take turns. Representational mapping is the category we believe he fell under. DJ was very organized with his games, he would choose people to play in the games. While watching DJ play he s very active and likes to talk a lot. When talking to his friends he mentions all the fun cool things he s able to do by running fast, he can make it to the next corner in just three seconds. He tries to show the kids the things he can do and it quickly becomes a competition with the boys. DJ is very friendly with his classmates and takes turns when told. However, when DJ picks a game and he gets out he s not too happy. He starts to throw a little fit. His fits consist of him complaining about how it s not fair, how classmates cheated and then he stomps and starts to cry. At this point other teachers are trying to calm him down and or puts him in a corner. DJ is showing signs of contingent self esteem. As soon as he s on a roll and shows the kids that he can play these games he s happy. But once he gets out he quickly becomes sad and angry at himself showing that he is helpless. Most children around the age of six tend to feel this way. For example: children who are playing a game and don t quite get the game ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Numerous people will tell you that, you do not hanve to go to school to become a Pharmacy Technician; but if you do not know anything about this profession you are going in clueless. Fortis college was my greatest experiance, with the most amazing people people, and teachers. If it was not for school I would definietly not know the accuracy of speed, the multitasking with communication, and computer skills for a pharmacy that is needed. Being fast at what you do with know mistakes is a major task to know in a pharmacy world. In retail pharmacy there are many prescriptions a day, so speed for counting and lableing is a must. They do not want you to go to fast though because they want accuracy also. Even with competetitors, this is where our speed needs to be, to get patients in and out with smiling faces. For instance, Wallgreens where my extern is, since I have been there we had about 30 to 40 people transfere from the location they went to all the time, to ours because of great customer service and our speed. It is either on your toes you are good to go, or on your butt all the time out the door kind of thing. Usually, for most people the American Dream is working hard enough to be able to live prosperously. But has the meaning of the American Dream changed, so that in order to achieve it one must become wealthy and gain success. The type of people that are most often identified, as having achieved the American Dream are entrepreneurs who create successful and innovative companies, not the everyday middle class man. The stories of these successful entrepreneurs are similar; they come up with an idea and find a way to make it work. Some entrepreneurs would be Robert Noyce, Mark Zuckerberg, Steve Jobs, and Bill Gates who founded innovative, successful, and popular companies. And the place ... The reason why all these companies are located in Silicon Valley is because is the gold mine of where dreams come true. Silicon Valley did not start with that name and in fact it only started when eight men built a company, which would later become known as Fairchild Semiconductor. At the head of the formation of Silicon Valley was a man named Robert Noyce he was a physicist and a born salesman. The eight men all worked for a brilliant physicist named William Shockley, who was the co inventor of the transistor. The transistor was a revolutionary invention that became a step towards the microchip (American Experience). William Shockley an already Nobel Prize winning scientist decided to create his own semiconductor company. He had hired eight PhD graduates to work with him and improve the semiconductor and create new technologies. The eight men all focused on different fields there were physicists, mechanical and electrical engineers, metallurgists, and tool builders. Unlike Shockley, they were young men almost all under thirty. The laboratory was located in the valley because of Shockley s personal ties to that area. The work environment at Shockley Semiconductor Laboratory was not very inviting, which led to the eight men resenting Shockley. Realizing that Shockley would not be replaced they decided ... As this week s minicamp practices come to an end, the bears have added Tony Moeaki to their 90 man roster. Moeaki was simply using the minicamp as an effort to try out and be noticed by someone on the Bears coaching staff. With the bears wanting to add strength to the position, giving Moeaki the last spot on the 90 man roster appeared to be a wise decision. After being drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the 3rd round of the 2010 draft, Chicago will be the 5th team that Moeaki has been a part of. His most productive season to this point in his career has been his rookie season when he accumulated 556 yards on 47 receptions. • 34. Kitagawa Utamaro And Paul Gauguin s Use Of Color Techniques Describe specifically what the term arbitrary color means, a color used at random for objects that have a common color, such as, a tree has green leaves, but we choose to make the leave purple or making the sun black, the clouds green, or the sky yellow, etc. Who was the first artist to employ the technique? I would have to say Katsushika Hokusai, Kitagawa Utamaro, and And¯o Hiroshige had a role in the technique. The technique was used in And¯o Hiroshige color woodcut print, ( Moon Pine at Ueno from One Hundred Views of Famous Places in Edo ), (Pg. 27), because of the color use. The colors seem to be out of place, such as, the sky s appearance being that of black, blue, and green, also the tree appears to have a redder tent than what we would normally see in nature. Hiroshige and other Japanese artists had gotten young artist thinking about color, arbitrary color, and pure color. One of the artist that took the color techniques from color woodcut prints and Japanese prints was Paul Gauguin. Gauguin was truly the first to employ arbitrary color techniques, which can be seen in his (Vision after the Sermon), (Pg. 60), with vivid red paint in the back ground, splashes of green and blue tenting on the nuns faces, these colors are not known in nature, and they are non descriptive. It just isn t natural to see these colors placed this way. Thus, Gauguin s paintings influenced younger artist and affected their ideas in the Nabis and Fauve periods. Whether lease should be classified as finance/capital leases or operating leases, has essential influences on other issues such as capitalisation of finance/capital leases and disclosure of operating leases by lessees. Without a clear distinction between a finance/ capital lease and an operating lease, it is unlikely that the lessee be required to capitalise the lease. This has led to inconsistent accounting for arrangements that meet the definition of a lease and similar arrangement that do not. According to AASB 117, the operating lease structure is a form of off balance sheet accounting, which means the lease obligation is not reported as a liability on the balance sheet. Critics claims that as a result of desirability of operating lease classification, lease parties commonly structure leases in such a way to avoid capital lease accounting by a thin margin and uses it as a source of off balance sheet financing This is a source of unrecognised financing and it can be difficult for users to understand. Moreover, the adjustments are inconsistent and frequently understate the lease obligations. This can be portrayed in both Thomas Paine s Common Sense, and Henry David Thoreau Civil Disobedience. Throughout history, as the times have changed so has individuals perception on government. Both authors existed at a different time in history, but they both convey a similar message that citizens should disobey government but their idea of government is completely different. Henry David Thoreau wrote Civil Disobedience, which is about him trying to persuade citizens that their obligation is to contravene and correct the unfair laws of the government. Thoreau begins Civil Disobedience with the view point That government is best which governs least Thomas Paine wrote Common Sense, to explain his vision of the ideal government, one where people vote and elect a person to run the country, which is similar to our democracy today( the great power of government be held in one elected legislature for the nation and one for each individual province ). He mainly criticizes Great Britain and how we need to break away and become our own country or government?
