searched, found, and viewed several documentaries which allowed me to observe different species of
primates living in their natural habitats. I took notes of what I saw and researched information on the
species in order to fully understand the meaning of each discernable behavior.
The first documentary that I watched was diffused by KPBS San Diego and allowed me to observe a
community of Bonobos living in their natural habitat in Congo. Secondly, I watched a
BBC documentary which allowed me to observe a small community of Chimpanzees living in the
Kyambura Gorge of Uganda. I then watched a second BBC documentary which permitted me to
observe Crested Black Macaques in their natural habitat, the Tempuku Rainforest. I turned the sound
off during the first viewing of the documentaries in order to focus only the behaviors I could observe
and took notes. I then reviewed the documentaries whiles listening to the observer s comments.
During my observations, I witnessed many different primate activities such as social grooming, the
use of tools, and hunting. I was also able to identify several different primate behaviors and social

There was a total of 159 participants used for this in this study. They were recruited as a sample group

Apparatus

Materials
The participants were presented with stimuli of two components which was displayed to them on
screen. One stimuli was the coloured rectangular patch (3.5x5.5cm). This patch was presented in a
variety of difference colours; yellow, red, green and blue. The other stimuli that was presented to the
participants was a word, which either matched up to one of the four colours, however could have been

in congruent or congruent or a natural, control word being XXXXX. As well being presented with the
patch, the words would also appear, in size 24, in the centre of the patch. There were four conditions
for when the word appeared; 0ms (simultaneously), 100ms, 200ms or 350ms.

very popular destination for the people of Paris. Cafés concerts became an integral part of Parisian

Folies Bergère became the topic of Edouard Manet s last painting, as Manet tried to portray the new,
modern Paris, and the introduction of mass production during this time. A Marxist art historian, T.J.
Clark finds this particular painting important because it revealed a lot about the new, modern Paris,
and Manet s intentions with the painting. Clark focuses more on the emergence of the new social class
during this time, and how this affected the role of women in Paris. The painting, A bar at Folies

From beginning to end, Susan Glaspell s 1917 short story A Jury of Her Peers, has several repetitive
patterns and symbols that help the reader gain a profound understanding of how hard life is for women
at the turn of the century, as well as the bonds women share. In the story two women go with their
husbands and county attorney to a remote house where Mr. Wright has been killed in his bed with a
rope and he suspect is Minnie, his wife. Early in the story, Mrs. Hale sympathizes with Minnie and
objects to the way the male investigators are snoopin round and criticizin her kitchen. In contrast, Mrs.
Peters, the Sheriffs wife, shows respect for the law, saying that the men are doing no more than their
duty . However, by the end of the story Mrs. Peters unites with Mrs. Hale in a conspiracy of silence
and concealing evidence. What causes this dramatic transformation?
One critic, Leonard Mustazza, argues that Mrs. Hale recruits Mrs. Peters as a fellow juror in the case,
