Introduction
Distance learning is a study technique introduced in the late 19th century to help aid those that were
unable to reach formal forms of education systems.it is also referred to as e learning derived from the
use of the internet to convey the syllabus and distance education. It is characterized by the physical
state of teacher student relationship that is affected by the geographical separation and in some
situations also time separation. Ideally distance learning is normal learning only in a non conventional
manner. It is mostly offered by established institution thus the materials used for the traditional
method of learning are similar to those used in the program only that it may be customized to fit the
virtual learning. It is highly appreciated by full time workers seeking to be recertified or generally

web based courses and web based services. Web based courses is whereby learning is facilitated
through the accessibility of digital reading resources ,podcasting, email linked group discussions, chat
rooms and test taking functional virtual classroom while web based services revolves around the
accessibility of physical tutors for employee with the institution controlling the contact. Usually the
tutor is part of the institution and is also certified by the institution before a referral is made and the
student takes up the curriculum of the institution despite their geographical location. This program
merges perfectly with the conventional modes of learning as it is subjected to scrutiny by the same
agencies that verify the traditional learning modes. It uses the same standards as the traditional modes
to implement its studies as well as equip its trainees with the same knowledge.

The International Accounting Standards Board
Introduction
Over the past few decades there has been a significant transformation in the global financial structure.
These remarkable changes are a result of increasing global competition, changes in business and
political climate, increasing technological advancements etc. Globalization in particular has given the
corporations and individual borrowers to look beyond the borders for finance and investment
opportunities. In order to protect these investors and to maintain the market integrity a financial
reporting framework was developed. This framework ensures high quality of financial reporting and
true and fair representation of general information for the users of financial statements (SEC, 2000).
The framework serves as a guide for ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
At the moment nearly more than 100 countries comply with the IASB standards. Moreover the board
is also responsible for the International Financial Reporting standards (Ready ratios, 2010). The
process for setting these standards comprises of certain stages such as: setting the agenda, planning,
developing the discussion paper and exposure draft and finally setting the standard. After issuing the
standards the board members hold meetings to discuss and review whether there are any issues
regarding its implementation (Foley,2004).
IASB was founded in April 2001, as a replacement for the IASC. It consists of 15 board members
from different countries, with a diverse financial reporting background appointed by a board of
Trustees (Members of the IASB, 2007). It is the main standard setter for the countries that use IASs
for their financial reporting. USA on the other hand has its own set of standards (GAAP) issued by the
Financial Accounting Standards Board. But IASB and FASB since 2002 have been working together
focusing on making a converged set of high quality global standards. This will have a huge impact on
a number of elements, such as investors, stock markets, accountants,

Fantasy In A Streetcar Named Desire
Essential Question 1 Everyone in the world experiences different fantasies but the influence of these
fantasies leads to indirect characterization. The word fantasy is typically correlated with a positive
connotation and associated with hopes and youthful ignorance but that is not always the case.
Fantasies can be comprised of various things such as dreams, hopes, and even fears for various people.
Fantasy is a two sided sword that can serve as both an aid and a hindrance for people attempting to
cope with reality because of its capability of providing an escape and a feeling of hope. Tennessee

Summary Of Le Morte DArthur And Campbell s Mordred
Between Malory s Le Morte D Arthur and Campbell s Mordred: A Tragedy in Five Acts, people began
desiring more of a visually entertaining story with less stories being told in person and the emergence
of films which accounts for Campbell s version of the Arthurian story having a more physically evil
looking Mordred than the Mordred that Malory portrays. Campbell s version of the story also focuses
more on how Mordred is an illegitimate child while Malory focuses on Mordred being the son of King
Lot rather than of Arthur. The difference in parentage is because Malory lived during a time period
when the Christian religion was changing society with people s beliefs of what religion was changing
and the soon to be Protestant Reformation, so people would look down on a text that includes incest as
part of the main plot. Malory puts his focus on the actions that Mordred does and how he acts evil
towards others and those he hates. Campbell does not have Mordred commit as many evil deeds but
instead focuses on making Mordred seem inherently evil and grotesque. When Arthur is talking about
Mordred to Merlin in his disgust of his own illegitimate son he describes Mordred as, that that
blackness? to show his contempt for Mordred and how people view him (Campbell). Campbell further
has Mordred describe himself as dark, misshapen, and monstrous even though he has yet to commit
any true evil to give others any reason other than his appearance to see him as evil. Mordred even

Censoring South Park
Dick Cavett, a famous American talk show host, once said, Censorship feeds the dirty mind more than
the four letter word itself. Censorship limits free speech, and it is used constantly today. In South Park
s situation, the writers use logic and evidence to express their opinions on controversial issues, and
people think that it should be censored. Just because the show uses morally questionable techniques,
does not mean that it is useless. In fact, South Park has taught people a lot; it changes our point of
view and encourages us to think deeply about the issues at hand while simultaneously making us
laugh. For people unfamiliar with South Park, it is an animated comedy television which airs on
Comedy Central. The show revolves ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These groups do not only criticize the use of profanity in South Park.
Another huge controversy South Park has created is their depiction of religion. South Park has
parodied almost every major religion so it is understandable that many people are offended. In the
episode, Trapped in the Closet, South Park basically calls Scientology a global scam. The LDS church
responded to the episode, All About Mormons, by calling it a gross portrayal of the LDS church. The
creators of South Park claim that any topic is subject to ridicule, but, because of the Jyllands Posten
Muhammad cartoons controversy, South Park has censored images of Muhammad. While they have
not been able to ridicule Islam directly, which is something that the creators never planned to do until
this controversy arose they still mock the censorship controversy itself. Christianity is, by far, the most
often parodied religion in South Park. Arguably, the most offensive parody South Park has done
involving Christianity is the depiction of Jesus. In South Park, Jesus has his own talk show and
appears to be just ordinary. As a recurring character, South Park s Jesus has engaged in acts of
speaking profanity, violence, and has been shown with the inability to perform his miracles. Critics of
the show say that these controversial portrayals confuse and corrupt children.
The creators of South Park have defended these accusations of their show. Matt Stone, co creator of
South Park, says kids don t

Dreams From My Father Analysis
The keynote address at the 2004 Democratic National Convention, was presented by the Illinois State
Senator, United States senatorial candidate, and future President Barack Obama on Tuesday, July 27,
2004. His unexpected landslide victory in the March 2004 Illinois U.S. Senate Democratic primary
made him a rising star within the national Democratic Party overnight, started speculation about a
presidential future, and led to the reissue of his memoir, Dreams from My Father. His keynote address
grew popular which then further elevated his status within the Democratic Party and led to his
reissued memoir becoming an all time bestseller. America has the inherent potential to offer hope to

The Issue Of Gun Related Homicide
Most nations today deal on a daily basis with the pervasive the issue of gun related homicide.
Journalists report on these crimes regularly, and still it is still a regular debate about what variables
produce high rates of gun related homicide. The United States of America boasts one of the highest
rates of firearm violence among 1st world nations. Germany, also a 1st world republic, shares a violent
past with the United States but sustains a much lower rate of gun homicide. Several variables from
within both nations exert influence over this statistic, which makes the homicide rate difficult to
predict.

Millions of the world s bravest and certainly millions of its poorest migrated in flux to America. These
people overpopulated the cities on the coasts and caused more and more people to move inland,
towards the Great Plains and the Mojave. People living on both sides of the density spectrum
committed crime. In urban areas, ethnic gangs arose, while in the west lawlessness and gun culture
emerged as defining characteristics of the times. While today the thought of a Wild West seems like
old news, the abundance of guns in the U.S. and the presence of gangs has helped produce a fear thy

Since Germans do not harbor a fear of their fellow citizens, a variety of variables ranging from crime

Analysis Of Transparent By Mort Pfefferman
As Jill Soloway s TV show Transparent begins, the opening credits offer a glimpse into the ideas of
gender. From the lighting of a candle, symbolizing light into the darkness of life, to a shimmering blue
dress that worn by a female impersonator the opening credits reveal the process of becoming a
transgender. Transitioning from a male to a female, or vice versa, is a feat that only a few come to do.
However, in the show Transparent, Mort Pfefferman transitions into Maura Pfefferman, a masculine
figure who blossoms in femininity and bravery. While it is already a difficult task to come out as
transgender, Maura has to deal with the drama revolving with her family.
Throughout the first season of Transparent, gender identity is explored and seen through the
challenges that the characters face. For instance, Maura struggles to reveal his true identity to his
children. In episode 1, Pilot, Mort calls his children and invites them to dinner. The children suspect
that Maura has a terminal disease; however, Maura is planning on revealing his greatest secret: that
she is transitioning. Later that evening, after Sarah and Josh leave, Ali, the child who Maura sees
resemblance in the most, stays aside to talk to Maura. They have a quick conversation about their
days, but before Ali leaves, Maura utters Boy, it is so hard when someone sees something you do not
want them to see (Citation). This quote truly reveals the overarching message of the television show:
we all hold secrets.

Analysis Of An Eye Who Is The Whole World Go Blind
An eye for an eye makes the whole world go blind. Ghandi. The story of Dawn reinforces this well
known quote by demonstrating the heavy silence of murder and it s feeble justifications.
A few years after the Holocaust, one of it s victims, Elisha, is recruited from his home in Paris as a
terrorist in the city of Palestine. In his short time there, he has participated in violent group retaliation
against the British, yet has never been forced to kill individually until now. This story documents the
tale of a young boy s struggle to come to term with the human s ability to commit cruel acts, as well as
his struggle to justify the ultimate act of cruelty: murder. Within it s startling revelations of the human
conscience, Dawn illuminates that the comforts of revenge are only temporary; murder terminates all
answers.
With this, the author, Elie Wiesel, is able crumble the foundations of terrorisms and the reasoning that
hate can ever resolve hate in his first novel, called Dawn.
Dawn takes place in Palestine, a place where the Jewish community wakes up to a red, vengeful sky.
After surviving the Holocaust the main character, Elisha, has been recruited as a terrorist for the
Freedom Movement. For Elisha, who is now without a family, the Freedom Movement represents a
new dawn, an act of hope, and most importantly, a retaliation in the name of faith to secure what s
rightfully his peoples. However, daybreak presents Elisha with a more tortured reality; he has been

How Discipline Is Not Easy
Discipline has always been, to me, a thought of growing in yourself or in this case growing in your
relationship with Christ. Discipline is not easy, in fact, it is hard, but the results are what we discipline
ourselves for. Celebration of Discipline was a very eye opening and insightful book in many aspects.
Foster, the author, describes spiritual discipline as an inward and outward reality. Meaning, the inner
and outward attitude of the discipline. The bible uses spiritual discipline to describe fasting, prayer,
worship, and even celebration. When Jesus spoke of spiritual discipline, he hardly gives instruction of
how to discipline ourselves spiritually. This book book gives more of an outline/guidance to types of
disciplines that could help you in your spiritual journey. There are three types of disciplines discussed
in this book, along with many sub categories within each type. All these groups are used to help one
form a more well rounded spiritual life. The types are inward, outward, and corporate discipline.
Inward discipline is a type of discipline that focuses on your inner self/spiritual life. This involves
things like praying, meditation, fasting, and studying. Outward disciple is more of what you can do as
an individual to discipline yourself spiritually, such as simplicity, solitude, submission, and service.
These are still self centered but more focused on the outside actions rather than the inside actions.
Finally, we have the corporate discipline. This

My Family, The Asaf Jah Dynasty Essay
I, Nizam of Hyderabad, am truly delighted with the opinion of the British Governor General who has
decided that I must stay in power of my state, Hyderabad.
Hyderabad has been under my rule for thirty seven years and this city has flourished the most during
my reign; it is only justified that I remain as the ruler of this state for as long as I breathe.
My family, the Asaf Jah Dynasty has been in control of Hyderabad since the decline of Mughal
Empire. This dynasty was founded by Mir Qamar ud Din Siddiqi, a viceroy of the Deccan under the
Mughal Empire from 1713 to 1721. When the Mughal control collapsed in 1724, Asaf Jah declared
himself independent in Hyderabad, and that is how we, the Nizams, have been ruling for more than
two centuries.
During the period of my rule, Hyderabad State became the richest state in India. I was presented with
the title of His Exalted Highness, and Faithful Ally of the British Government by the imperial colonial
British government for our collaborating role in the wars against Tipu Sultan of Mysore, the First war
of Indian Independence of 1857 1858, after which I became the only Indian prince to be given both
these titles. With the start of World War 1 in 1914, I contributed a large amount of financial and
material aid to the British Government. In fact, my own personal army served with the British at the
war front. My constant and unparalleled support to the British government strengthened our
friendship, which was exemplified in the raising

Reproductive Ecology:
Alligators are polygynous. That means that each male mates with many females. During breeding
season, male alligators are very territorial, and they will defend their area against other males by head
ramming or attacking one another with open jaws. alligators use a complex series of underwater
bellows, sighs, grunts and other vocalizations to attract mates. Before mating, female alligators
prepare soft nests of sticks and vegetation. Each female lays 30 to 50 eggs, deposits them in the nest
and guards them during the 65 day incubation period. The alligator mating ritual is often called water
dancing. The animals underwater mating bellows are so forceful and low that they cause water
droplets to fly up into the air, attracting potential mates. Alligators also use these noises to establish
territorial dominance and intimidate other animals. Alligators breed in the Spring (April to May). A
month after the noisy mating rituals and coupling, the female lays up to 50 eggs in a large (three feet
tall and six feet wide) nest she constructed of mud, leaves and twigs on dry ground. The rotting
vegetation in the nest warms the eggs. The temperature of the nest determines the sex of the
hatchlings. If the eggs are incubated over 93 degrees Fahrenheit (34 degrees Celsius), the embryo
develops as a male; temperatures below 86 degrees Fahrenheit (30 degrees Celsius) result in female
embryos,

Competent To Counsel
Chapter eight of Competent to Counsel by Jay E. Adams, presents a powerful concept regarding the
importance of being disciplined as a Christian (or walking a disciplined life); however, after further
reading it seems there are two kinds of discipline. One is a noun, it seems; it is the discipline from the
Lord that we receive from him, his training, correction, reproof. The other is the self imposed
discipline of the Christian s daily walk; it is the act of having controlled behavior and choosing to
obey his commandments, so it is then more of an adjective to describe who or what we are. The
purpose of the Lord s discipline, as stated in Hebrews 10:10, is to make us holy and to reflect his
holiness. This holiness comes from enduring suffering

Mary Terrell Suffrage
Mary Terrell: Taking a Stand for the African American Nation Several reform movements began near
the end of the 1800 and caused a great change in the world we live in today. One of these movements
was the abolition movement calling for an end to slavery. Throughout the time leading to the
abolishment of slavery, African Americans were treated poorly. Many were lynched killed and were
unable to defend themselves due to the lack of education and the rights in the African American
community. Moreover, the Jim Crow laws were enforced, causing the segregation of restaurants,

When the Jim Crow Laws were passed, they created a separate but equal nation; however, it was
evident that there was no equality, only segregation. African Americans were deprived of their rights
and as a colored woman, Terrell saw it necessary to fight for the retrieval of those rights. Furthermore,
she believed that people must be educated about the conditions of black people in order tend the
mistreatment towards the colored. To add on, the National Woman s Party wrote, Terrell also believed
that improving America s understanding of black life and culture was crucial to elevating African
American people. To this end, she wrote articles and gave speeches depicting black life in America,
sharing stories of black contributions to society, and encouraging people of all races to find common
ground (National Women s Party). in other words Terrell stood up for the quality and rights of blacks
by giving speeches and educating the public about on the importance of equality. Later on in her life
as she battles with segregation on a daily basis, in the capital of a country based upon the ideas of
freedom and quality, she gets denied service at a restaurant. As a result, Terrell sues the restaurant,

of and challenge segregation and the Jim Crow laws.

lack of establishing morals keeps him from being successful in achieving his dreams. Willy suffers
from not being able to fully live in the present while he constantly forces his beliefs of what it means

After the Civil War, and particularly since the 1900s, the American dream has become distorted to the
dream of business success (Wattley 2). Many people believed this philosophy that material, enterprise,
and hard work were the keys to success. In The Death of a Salesman, the story of Willy and his sons is
another version of the struggle to attain the American dream. Throughout the play, Willy is constantly
worried that he won t make a living for [Linda], or a business for the boys (Death of a Salesman 25).

The s Nationalization Of The Suez Canal
Colonial power ruled Egypt for almost a hundred years, exploiting and extracting as much wealth
from Egypt as possible. After this long period of subjection to outside rule, Gamal Abdel Nasser
became president of Egypt in 1956. He was the first Egyptian who was a ruler of the people.
Egyptians, Arab nationalists, and many other world leaders loved Nasser and his leadership. His swift,
bloodless takeover and rise to president in conjunction with his smooth, calm speeches gained him
popularity. What truly made him infamous was his nationalization of the Suez Canal Company that
ended British influence in Egypt. Decades after his death, Nasser is still believed to be greater than
that of many other political leader since the Prophet Mohamed . However, many of Nasser s actions
demand that his rule be reconsidered. Nasser s nationalization of the media, repression of political
opponents, institutionalized torture of the Muslim Brotherhood, and failure to successfully implement
his national planning all suggest that Nasser s actions contributed to the many economic, political, and
military problems Egypt faces today
In one of the first events to centralize his power, Nasser nationalized the media in 1960 shortly after
becoming the central leader of Egypt in 1954 . Nasser became incredibly popular early in his reign.
Arabs and Egyptians rallied in support of his socialist reform proposals and Nasser s efforts to unify

Mothers Against Drunk Driving was started and throughout the 80 s drunk driving became a hot topic.
At that time alcohol related accidents totaled around 100,000 a year. Deaths related to illegal drug
overdose, AIDS, or violence associated with the illegal drug trade totaled up to 21, 000 per year.
Sentencing for drunk drivers typically only spend two days in jail the first time and up to ten days the
second. Drunk driving carries a far greater risk of violent death than the use or sale of illegal drugs,
but the social response to drunk driver s generally emphasized keeping the person functional and in
society, while attempting to respond to the dangerous behavior through treatment and counseling.
People charged with drug offenses, are typically charged with felonies and sentenced to prison. At that
time there were not first and second chances with a few days in jail like it was for drinking and
driving. One of the main reasons for this disparity is that white men account for the majority of

Tottenham Hotspur s Plans For A New Stadium
In this case study we were given the opportunity to evaluate Tottenham Hotspur s plans for a new
stadium and a new striker. The Chairman of Tottenham, Daniel Levy has focused on three pillars that
he believes could sustain long term success for Spurs. Levy states, If you sign older players at huge
salaries but don t get the immediate football success you dreamed of, you cripple yourself (p.2). The
pillars are: the development of a new stadium, the building of a new training facility, and the continual
improvement of the club through prudent player acquisitions during the various transfer windows.
Adhering to these pillars would allow for continued success in both domestic and European football,
as well as the development of the company s assets. Ultimately, this would allow for the club to build
their brand, which in turn will lead to greater revenues being streamed in. Not only is the club historic,
but it also possesses 20 million fans worldwide. As a result, in 2008 White Hart Lane sold out every
game and there was a 20,000 person waiting list for seating tickets. With soccer gaining more traction
worldwide, more fans are likely to flock to games. The club receives revenues from four major
sources: attendance, sponsorship, merchandise sales, and broadcast rights. Its main costs are players
salaries and the costs of operating the stadium. White Hart Lane cannot be renovated to include 60,000
seats. Thus, if Tottenham wants to expand their potential for revenues they

What Are The Three Categories Of Autism Impairs...
Specifically, autism impairs communication and social collaboration. Particularly, there are three
categories of Autism Spectrum Disorder. The three categories of autism are classified by the severity
of the symptoms. The category most people associate autism with is Autistic Disorder. Many times
this form of autism is referred to as classic autism. Autistic Disorder symptoms include speech
suspensions, strange behaviors and interests, as well as academic impairments. Another form of
autism includes Asperger Syndrome. This form of autism deals with symptoms similar to Autistic
Disorder, however they are not as severe. Unlike Autistic Disorder, individuals who have Asperger
Syndrome rarely have speech and intellectual impairments. Therefore,

Analysis Of Meteoric Price Surge On The Stock Of A Company...
The two stories talk about the meteoric price surge in the stock of a company called Cynk Technology
Corporation, with no actual revenue and tangible assets, and the purported manipulation of the stock
price through a pump and dump strategy. It can be seen how the Securities and Exchange commission
together with the Department of Justice unsealed an indictment charging several people with
conspiracy, tax fraud and money laundering involving up to $500 million in assets channeled through
offshore shell companies that allowed clients to influence stock prices and hide their profits. Generally
the scam artists, gain control of an enterprise and offer to sell a block of shares usually to the
unsuspecting public with promises of very high returns. Promoters broadcast the company s prospects
by telling financiers to get in early before the rest of the market dives in the pump. Shares are often
bought and sold between nominees to give the appearance of active trading, further amplifying interest
as brokers contact clients to buy stock. Once the price starts rising, the control block can be dumped
on the market, leaving investors with shares in a nearly worthless business.. It also parleys the increase
of penny stock fraud and the Securities and Exchange Commission s inability to prosecute the
fraudsters and protect investors.
A Penny Stock, according to the U.S Securities and Exchange Commission, generally refers to low
priced securities of very small companies, usually below

Philonous And Hylas Play Summary
The dialogue begins with Philonous and Hylas, the protagonists, running into each other. Philonous is
surprised to see Hylas awake so early, but Hylas seems mad. Hylas explains that he has been
contemplating over crazy beliefs that some philosophers have; those who believe nothing at all, and
those who believe everything. Hylas is scared that the philosophers will put thoughts in people s
heads, eventually turning them against their own religion and beliefs. Philonous agrees with Hylas and
explains how doesn t follow what he learned in school, rather he embraces common sense opinions.
Hylas is relieved to find out Philonous doesn t believe in these insane thoughts (mind independent
reality) that some of their friends do. Philonous explains that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Philonous now begins to explain how materialism can lead to skepticism. Philonous must now explain
that there is no reason to believe in mind independent reality. Philonous introduces the argument from
pleasure and pain as well as the argument of perceptual relativity. First, he makes Hylas admit that we
can only sense sensible things, and that sensible things are nothing but groups of sensible qualities.
Hylas hesitates, but Philonous reassures him. Philonous gives a cherry as an example; a small, red,
sweet cluster, which in actuality could be something other than this. Philonous now introduces the
idea of pain and pleasure. Philonous explains that pain is mind dependant, meaning that pain cannot
exist if nobody is feeling it. The same goes with pleasure. Philonous then explains that this does not
only apply to pain and pleasure, but to any sensible quality. First, Philonous tries to relate heat with
pain. He says that inanimate objects cannot feel pain or pleasure; Matter is inanimate; Matter cannot
feel pain nor pleasure; heat is a form of pain; therefore matter is incapable of feeling heat; This means

Radio In The 1920s Essay
The radio when it was invented by Guglielmo Marconi in 1913 people were unsure of it until it makes
a bigger impact in the 1920s it became an American pastime, it majorly helped the rapid growth
women getting out of their normal work roles, bringing music sports and politics into the home lives
of many Americans, and the brining of many new radio stations. The radio helped shape the 1920 in a
way nothing else at the time could by bringing the life of America into the homes and lives of every

the radio station got to go on the air or if they were using profane language. Even though the FRC was

same power over the advertisements that many radio stations such as NBC and CBS sold air time to
famous movie stars, musicians , singers and comedians to advertise products that would appear later
on their shows. In the 1920s women played a big role in the start up of the radio. According to LInda

Computer Languages And Programming Frameworks
INRODUCTION Early accounting software was bespoke, painstakingly handcrafted literally byte by
byte over the course of months. While it represented an obvious step forward from employing hordes
of people chugging away on adding machines and carrying stacks of paper all over the place, there
was still a great deal of room for improvement. As time passed, computer capacity grew to enable the
use of higher level development tools. These allowed people to define and encode business rules
without needing to understand everything down to the basic wiring of the machine. True computer
languages and programming frameworks followed. Probably the first report generation language was
developed in 1959 for the IBM 7090 and known as 9PAC . At the time, storing and accessing
structured data on computers was still in its infancy, and some concepts from 9PAC formed key parts
of the development of early relational databases. Throughout the 1960s, companies invested in
producing proprietary accounting systems tailored to their particular requirements. Jobs would be run
in batch mode, often overnight, with only a select few permitted to see or access the computer directly
(frequently, this did not even include the programmers!) However, computers continued to grow in
capability, and the idea of building one generalized application with flexible features which could be
customized to each client s needs became reality in 1973 with the introduction of SAP RF. Over time

Summary Of The Sandwich Generation
David Kopec
Application Activities #1,
Sandwich Generation, G.
9/22/17
The Sandwich Generation
After reading the article The Sandwich Generation: Who is Caring for you? by Ruth Tarantine I have
learned what the Sandwich Generation is and how to assist individuals in this generation. The
Sandwich Generation was originally used to describe baby boomers that were women in their 30s and
40s who cared for their parents and their own children. This term was coined by Dorothy Miller. As
time passed, the term changed to include both male and females and the age range is now 40 to 65
years old. Almost 50% of adults 40 50 years old care for a parent and child. Caring for a parent and
child can stress a caregiver. Adding a chronic disease to either parent or child can put additional stress
on the caregiver. To help relieve some of this stress a caregiver will seek outside help, such as
hospitalization, which in reality can do more harm than good for the caregiver. The caregiver will
think that having their parent hospitalized will relieve this stress, but instead this will cause them to
feel guilty. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There were plenty of options provided in the article but I decided to cover the ones I believed would
be most helpful to anyone. The first step you can take is to take care of yourself. Many times when
helping others we forget about ourselves. We put things off to the side or don t pay attention to our
own needs. We can forget to eat right, sleep, get regular checkups, or even take a break. When you are
constantly taking care of someone you may go to a local fast food place because you don t have time
to cook a healthy meal. Some caregivers will turn to drugs or alcohol to relieve stress. This can
complicate their lives even more and make them more irritable. All of these factors can add up and
decrease your quality of

Real Estate In Michigan
Michigan real estate is quite popular because Michigan is bounded by five Great Lakes. The Great
Lakes are Lake Huron, Lake Erie, Lake Michigan , Lake Superior and Lake Saint Clair. The state got
its name from Lake Michigan. The state of Michigan actually consists of two peninsulas the Upper
Peninsula and the Lower Peninsula. The state has thousands of smaller lakes as well. Hence it is not
surprising that Michigan has the longest freshwater shoreline in the whole world and one is never
more than 85 miles from the water of the open Great Lakes and never more than 6 miles from a
natural water source. Water plays such an important role in the life of the people living and visiting
here that this state has more registered recreational boats than ... Show more content on

These days Detroit is in renaissance as a billion dollars has been spent in renovating the downtown

Warren, Flint, Sterling Heights, Lansing, Ann Arbor, Livonia, Dearborn and Clinton. The real estate
market has also been quite active in the smaller cities. However the Michigan real estate market has
witnessed a downturn recently and it is continuing. Many Michigan real estate agents who were
laughing their way to the bank until recently are finding themselves unable to sell real estate at much

national real estate market has come as a blessing in disguise for buyers of Michigan real estate. The
real estate prices have fallen to affordable levels making it attractive for serious

Descriptive Essay About Cake Bake Shop
The most enchanting and sophisticated restaurant I have ever been to is The Cake Bake Shop. As you

keep everything in the restaurant clean and well maintained. I never feel unwelcome or uncomfortable
while eating there. Each worker is dressed in a custom pink and white Cake Bake Shop uniform that
closely resembles that of an old bakery uniform. This adds nicely to the pink Parisian ambience of the

allows customers to watch the desserts and pastries being made. Quiet jazz plays throughout the
restaurant, which really adds to the overall atmosphere, making it very peaceful and relaxing. The

ten seconds of the piano playing, the lead singer, Arnel Pineda, begins to sing. Around forty seconds
into the song, and right after Pineda finishes the first cadence, you hear the guitar for one short note,
then it does not reappear after the line he took the midnight train going anywhere. The guitar is played

Fourth Amendment Assignment
A Fourth Amendment Written Assignment During September 1787 the United States Constitution was
adopted and signed, but it was not ratified until nine of the thirteen states did so on June 21, 1788. The
most important piece of the Constitution is the Bill of Rights which was ratified on December 15,
1791. These ten amendments have focused on people s individual liberties even until this day. The Bill
of Rights is important because it protects the rights of citizens. Citizens of the United States depend on
these amendments to place a ceiling for the government so that they do not gain too much power. Law

Judges examine how evidence was gathered and whether it was gathered legally. Katz v. United States
and United States v. Leon impact the application of the Fourth Amendment. Law enforcement invade
people s privacy as long as it is reasonable, but on the other hand what is a reasonable expectations of
privacy? In Katz v. U.S. people questioned whether someone had an expectation of privacy in a public
photo booth. Katz was making a phone call and officers believed that he was transmitting gambling
information to clients from other states. With this hunch, officers placed an eavesdropping device on
the outside of the public phone booth. Katz was soon convicted based on the recordings of his
conversation. He argued in court that this evidence could not be used against him. Noting the absence
of law enforcement physically intruding, the Court of Appeals rejected his request. Soon the court
granted certiorari. The Supreme Court ruled that during Katz conversation he was entitled to Fourth
Amendment protection. Police were required to obtain a search warrant in order to intrude and wiretap
the phone booth. The Supreme Court also stated that it was not necessary for physical intrusion in
order for the Fourth Amendment to come into play. The Fourth Amendment protects people, not
places, wrote Justice Potter Stewart for the Court. A concurring opinion by John Marshall Harlan
introduced the idea of a reasonable expectation

Similarities Between Alice Through The Looking Glass And...
The movie Alice through the Looking Glass and the book The City of Ember are very similar. They

looking glass is about a girl who tryings to go back in time to save her friend, The Mad Hatter. Lina is
a girl who is stuck in a city underground and tries to get out using a passageway. These two may
sound different but they are actually the same. The theme of Alice through the Looking Glass would
be that you can t change the past but you can learn from it. Alice learned that when she tried to stop
the Red Queen in the past. This led the Red Queen from turning evil. The theme of The City of Ember
would be to never give up on your dreams, because Lina thought there was a way to get out of the city
when no one believed her. But, there was a way out. As you can see the themes between these two
stories are different. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Clarissa Harlow, American Red Cross, Educator And Nurse
Clarissa Harlow Clara Barton was founder of American Red Cross, educator and nurse. She was born
in Oxford, Massachusetts on December 25, 1821. She spent much of her time helping others, such as
tending to her brother after he was involved in an accident. At the age of 15 she became a
schoolteacher and later went to open a free public school in New Jersey. She later became a clerk in
the U.S. Patent Office in 1854 but lost the job two years later when the Democrats won the presidency.
Throughout her life she was a teacher and helped people whenever the opportunity appeared. From
1861 1865 the Civil War had taken place in the United States. Many men went and fought to protect
the rights that they believed in. Thousands were killed and millions more were injured due to the
fighting. Many women volunteered and signed up as nurses to help the injured men and try to save
their lives. Their duty as nurses was not to only help those that were sick or injured but keep the others
healthy enough to fight. Clarissa Barton was one of those women who signed up as a nurse during the
Civil War. At first she collected and distributed supplies and meals for the Union Army. She quickly
got tired of just taking care of supplies and meals so she went to the front lines to help the injured
men. Clarissa was on the frontlines to clean wounds, meet basic needs, and comfort the soldiers in
death. Some battles Clarissa saw combat in were at Fredericksburg, Virginia and Antietam. When

These remarkable changes are a result of increasing global competition, changes in business and political climate, increasing technological advancements etc. Globalization in particular has given the corporations and individual borrowers to look beyond the borders for finance and investment opportunities. • 6. Summary Of Le Morte DArthur And Campbell s Mordred Between Malory s Le Morte D Arthur and Campbell s Mordred: A Tragedy in Five Acts, people began desiring more of a visually entertaining story with less stories being told in person and the emergence of films which accounts for Campbell s version of the Arthurian story having a more physically evil looking Mordred than the Mordred that Malory portrays. Campbell s version of the story also focuses more on how Mordred is an illegitimate child while Malory focuses on Mordred being the son of King Lot rather than of Arthur. The difference in parentage is because Malory lived during a time period when the Christian religion was changing society with people s beliefs of what religion was changing and the soon to be Protestant Reformation, so people would look down on a text that includes incest as part of the main plot. Malory puts his focus on the actions that Mordred does and how he acts evil towards others and those he hates. Campbell does not have Mordred commit as many evil deeds but instead focuses on making Mordred seem inherently evil and grotesque. When Arthur is talking about Mordred to Merlin in his disgust of his own illegitimate son he describes Mordred as, that that blackness? to show his contempt for Mordred and how people view him (Campbell). Campbell further has Mordred describe himself as dark, misshapen, and monstrous even though he has yet to commit any true evil to give others any reason other than his appearance to see him as evil. Mordred even spends ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. Censoring South Park Dick Cavett, a famous American talk show host, once said, Censorship feeds the dirty mind more than the four letter word itself. Censorship limits free speech, and it is used constantly today. In South Park s situation, the writers use logic and evidence to express their opinions on controversial issues, and people think that it should be censored. Just because the show uses morally questionable techniques, does not mean that it is useless. In fact, South Park has taught people a lot; it changes our point of view and encourages us to think deeply about the issues at hand while simultaneously making us laugh. For people unfamiliar with South Park, it is an animated comedy television which airs on Comedy Central. The show revolves ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... These groups do not only criticize the use of profanity in South Park. Another huge controversy South Park has created is their depiction of religion. South Park has parodied almost every major religion so it is understandable that many people are offended. In the episode, Trapped in the Closet, South Park basically calls Scientology a global scam. The LDS church responded to the episode, All About Mormons, by calling it a gross portrayal of the LDS church. The creators of South Park claim that any topic is subject to ridicule, but, because of the Jyllands Posten Muhammad cartoons controversy, South Park has censored images of Muhammad. While they have not been able to ridicule Islam directly, which is something that the creators never planned to do until this controversy arose they still mock the censorship controversy itself. Christianity is, by far, the most often parodied religion in South Park. Arguably, the most offensive parody South Park has done involving Christianity is the depiction of Jesus. In South Park, Jesus has his own talk show and appears to be just ordinary. As a recurring character, South Park s Jesus has engaged in acts of speaking profanity, violence, and has been shown with the inability to perform his miracles. Critics of the show say that these controversial portrayals confuse and corrupt children. The creators of South Park have defended these accusations of their show. While it is already a difficult task to come out as transgender, Maura has to deal with the drama revolving with her family. Throughout the first season of Transparent, gender identity is explored and seen through the challenges that the characters face. For instance, Maura struggles to reveal his true identity to his children. In episode 1, Pilot, Mort calls his children and invites them to dinner. The children suspect that Maura has a terminal disease; however, Maura is planning on revealing his greatest secret: that she is transitioning. Later that evening, after Sarah and Josh leave, Ali, the child who Maura sees resemblance in the most, stays aside to talk to Maura. They have a quick conversation about their days, but before Ali leaves, Maura utters Boy, it is so hard when someone sees something you do not want them to see (Citation). The story of Dawn reinforces this well known quote by demonstrating the heavy silence of murder and it s feeble justifications. A few years after the Holocaust, one of it s victims, Elisha, is recruited from his home in Paris as a terrorist in the city of Palestine. In his short time there, he has participated in violent group retaliation against the British, yet has never been forced to kill individually until now. This story documents the tale of a young boy s struggle to come to term with the human s ability to commit cruel acts, as well as his struggle to justify the ultimate act of cruelty: murder. Within it s startling revelations of the human conscience, Dawn illuminates that the comforts of revenge are only temporary; murder terminates all answers. With this, the author, Elie Wiesel, is able crumble the foundations of terrorisms and the reasoning that hate can ever resolve hate in his first novel, called Dawn. Dawn takes place in Palestine, a place where the Jewish community wakes up to a red, vengeful sky. After surviving the Holocaust the main character, Elisha, has been recruited as a terrorist for the Freedom Movement. For Elisha, who is now without a family, the Freedom Movement represents a new dawn, an act of hope, and most importantly, a retaliation in the name of faith to secure what s rightfully his peoples. However, daybreak presents Elisha with a more tortured reality; he has been ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 15. How Discipline Is Not Easy Discipline has always been, to me, a thought of growing in yourself or in this case growing in your relationship with Christ. Discipline is not easy, in fact, it is hard, but the results are what we discipline ourselves for. Celebration of Discipline was a very eye opening and insightful book in many aspects. Foster, the author, describes spiritual discipline as an inward and outward reality. Meaning, the inner and outward attitude of the discipline. The bible uses spiritual discipline to describe fasting, prayer, worship, and even celebration. When Jesus spoke of spiritual discipline, he hardly gives instruction of how to discipline ourselves spiritually. This book book gives more of an outline/guidance to types of disciplines that could help you in your spiritual journey. There are three types of disciplines discussed in this book, along with many sub categories within each type. All these groups are used to help one form a more well rounded spiritual life. The types are inward, outward, and corporate discipline. Inward discipline is a type of discipline that focuses on your inner self/spiritual life. This involves things like praying, meditation, fasting, and studying. Outward disciple is more of what you can do as an individual to discipline yourself spiritually, such as simplicity, solitude, submission, and service. These are still self centered but more focused on the outside actions rather than the inside actions. Finally, we have the corporate discipline. This ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

My Family, The Asaf Jah Dynasty Essay I, Nizam of Hyderabad, am truly delighted with the opinion of the British Governor General who has decided that I must stay in power of my state, Hyderabad. Hyderabad has been under my rule for thirty seven years and this city has flourished the most during my reign; it is only justified that I remain as the ruler of this state for as long as I breathe. My family, the Asaf Jah Dynasty has been in control of Hyderabad since the decline of Mughal Empire. This dynasty was founded by Mir Qamar ud Din Siddiqi, a viceroy of the Deccan under the Mughal Empire from 1713 to 1721. When the Mughal control collapsed in 1724, Asaf Jah declared himself independent in Hyderabad, and that is how we, the Nizams, have been ruling for more than two centuries. During the period of my rule, Hyderabad State became the richest state in India. I was presented with the title of His Exalted Highness, and Faithful Ally of the British Government by the imperial colonial British government for our collaborating role in the wars against Tipu Sultan of Mysore, the First war of Indian Independence of 1857 1858, after which I became the only Indian prince to be given both these titles. With the start of World War 1 in 1914, I contributed a large amount of financial and material aid to the British Government. In fact, my own personal army served with the British at the war front. During breeding season, male alligators are very territorial, and they will defend their area against other males by head ramming or attacking one another with open jaws. alligators use a complex series of underwater bellows, sighs, grunts and other vocalizations to attract mates. Before mating, female alligators prepare soft nests of sticks and vegetation. Each female lays 30 to 50 eggs, deposits them in the nest and guards them during the 65 day incubation period. The alligator mating ritual is often called water dancing. The animals underwater mating bellows are so forceful and low that they cause water droplets to fly up into the air, attracting potential mates. Alligators also use these noises to establish territorial dominance and intimidate other animals. Alligators breed in the Spring (April to May). A month after the noisy mating rituals and coupling, the female lays up to 50 eggs in a large (three feet tall and six feet wide) nest she constructed of mud, leaves and twigs on dry ground. The rotting vegetation in the nest warms the eggs. The temperature of the nest determines the sex of the hatchlings. If the eggs are incubated over 93 degrees Fahrenheit (34 degrees Celsius), the embryo develops as a male; temperatures below 86 degrees Fahrenheit (30 degrees Celsius) result in female embryos, ... Adams, presents a powerful concept regarding the importance of being disciplined as a Christian (or walking a disciplined life); however, after further reading it seems there are two kinds of discipline. One is a noun, it seems; it is the discipline from the Lord that we receive from him, his training, correction, reproof. The other is the self imposed discipline of the Christian s daily walk; it is the act of having controlled behavior and choosing to obey his commandments, so it is then more of an adjective to describe who or what we are. The purpose of the Lord s discipline, as stated in Hebrews 10:10, is to make us holy and to reflect his holiness. This holiness comes from enduring suffering ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In The Death of a Salesman, the story of Willy and his sons is another version of the struggle to attain the American dream. Throughout the play, Willy is constantly worried that he won t make a living for [Linda], or a business for the boys (Death of a Salesman 25). After this long period of subjection to outside rule, Gamal Abdel Nasser became president of Egypt in 1956. He was the first Egyptian who was a ruler of the people. Egyptians, Arab nationalists, and many other world leaders loved Nasser and his leadership. His swift, bloodless takeover and rise to president in conjunction with his smooth, calm speeches gained him popularity. What truly made him infamous was his nationalization of the Suez Canal Company that ended British influence in Egypt. Decades after his death, Nasser is still believed to be greater than that of many other political leader since the Prophet Mohamed . However, many of Nasser s actions demand that his rule be reconsidered. Nasser s nationalization of the media, repression of political opponents, institutionalized torture of the Muslim Brotherhood, and failure to successfully implement his national planning all suggest that Nasser s actions contributed to the many economic, political, and military problems Egypt faces today In one of the first events to centralize his power, Nasser nationalized the media in 1960 shortly after becoming the central leader of Egypt in 1954 . Last year in 2014, 9967 people were killed in car crashes. There was 3464 cocaine related deaths during the same period. Stricter drinking and driving laws were only put into law after the Carollton bus disaster happened. In 1988 a drunk driver driving the wrong way in Kentucky hit a school bus where 27 people died and dozens more were injured. In the aftermath, Mothers Against Drunk Driving was started and throughout the 80 s drunk driving became a hot topic. At that time alcohol related accidents totaled around 100,000 a year. Deaths related to illegal drug overdose, AIDS, or violence associated with the illegal drug trade totaled up to 21, 000 per year. Sentencing for drunk drivers typically only spend two days in jail the first time and up to ten days the second. Drunk driving carries a far greater risk of violent death than the use or sale of illegal drugs, but the social response to drunk driver s generally emphasized keeping the person functional and in society, while attempting to respond to the dangerous behavior through treatment and counseling. The Chairman of Tottenham, Daniel Levy has focused on three pillars that he believes could sustain long term success for Spurs. Levy states, If you sign older players at huge salaries but don t get the immediate football success you dreamed of, you cripple yourself (p.2). The pillars are: the development of a new stadium, the building of a new training facility, and the continual improvement of the club through prudent player acquisitions during the various transfer windows. Adhering to these pillars would allow for continued success in both domestic and European football, as well as the development of the company s assets. Ultimately, this would allow for the club to build their brand, which in turn will lead to greater revenues being streamed in. Not only is the club historic, but it also possesses 20 million fans worldwide. As a result, in 2008 White Hart Lane sold out every game and there was a 20,000 person waiting list for seating tickets. With soccer gaining more traction worldwide, more fans are likely to flock to games. The club receives revenues from four major sources: attendance, sponsorship, merchandise sales, and broadcast rights. Its main costs are players salaries and the costs of operating the stadium. While it represented an obvious step forward from employing hordes of people chugging away on adding machines and carrying stacks of paper all over the place, there was still a great deal of room for improvement. As time passed, computer capacity grew to enable the use of higher level development tools. These allowed people to define and encode business rules without needing to understand everything down to the basic wiring of the machine. True computer languages and programming frameworks followed. Probably the first report generation language was developed in 1959 for the IBM 7090 and known as 9PAC . At the time, storing and accessing structured data on computers was still in its infancy, and some concepts from 9PAC formed key parts of the development of early relational databases. Throughout the 1960s, companies invested in producing proprietary accounting systems tailored to their particular requirements. Jobs would be run in batch mode, often overnight, with only a select few permitted to see or access the computer directly (frequently, this did not even include the programmers!) However, computers continued to grow in capability, and the idea of building one generalized application with flexible features which could be customized to each client s needs became reality in 1973 with the introduction of SAP RF. Summary Of The Sandwich Generation David Kopec Application Activities #1, Sandwich Generation, G. 9/22/17 The Sandwich Generation After reading the article The Sandwich Generation: Who is Caring for you? by Ruth Tarantine I have learned what the Sandwich Generation is and how to assist individuals in this generation. The Sandwich Generation was originally used to describe baby boomers that were women in their 30s and 40s who cared for their parents and their own children. This term was coined by Dorothy Miller. As time passed, the term changed to include both male and females and the age range is now 40 to 65 years old. Almost 50% of adults 40 50 years old care for a parent and child. Caring for a parent and child can stress a caregiver. Adding a chronic disease to either parent or child can put additional stress on the caregiver. Katz was making a phone call and officers believed that he was transmitting gambling information to clients from other states. With this hunch, officers placed an eavesdropping device on the outside of the public phone booth. Katz was soon convicted based on the recordings of his conversation. He argued in court that this evidence could not be used against him. Noting the absence of law enforcement physically intruding, the Court of Appeals rejected his request. Soon the court granted certiorari. The Supreme Court ruled that during Katz conversation he was entitled to Fourth Amendment protection. Police were required to obtain a search warrant in order to intrude and wiretap the phone booth.
