- 2. Process When starting to make the double page, I started out with what I wanted the colour of the page to be. I thought that having a standard white background would be too boring, some of the research I did showed that some of the magazines used a grey background as well, so I took some inspiration from them. I put the borders down first so I could outline where I wanted everything else to go. I put the pictures down after that so I could put the text down after that.
- 3. Process For the text I already had a pretty good idea with where I wanted it to go. So I wrote out what I needed to and then split it all into separate paragraphs, but when I did this realised I had an awkward gap in the middle of the first page. So I decided to put a quote from the interview in its place, not only does it stand out, but I tried to find a quote that I wrote out that sounded interesting and would want to make the audience understand more of the context. I didn't have to do this with the second page since I already wrote enough of it out.
- 4. Process The picture that I ended up using for the front cover wasn't the one that I had planned on using when I started to make it. I real of context, the lighting was off, and none of the text could really stand out that much on it. So I went with a picture that I took at a concert, which ended up looking even better then what I had planned, and it still fit into the theme of music, while still capturing the same kind of mood I was going for in the first place. Obviously I was going to need more pictures, namely the ones of the artists that I featured in the pages, so I started with those and tried to find a good place to put them, the only issue was that the ones I chose in the end were too bright.
- 5. Process To come over the issue of the images being too bright, I did a few changes to the base image, I put a few stock images behind it and changed the texture and colour of those, and it actually ended up working really well. Not only did it fix the issue of most of the images being too bright, but it also made the product look cleaner and sharper in general. The text stood out a lot better as well. The picture at the bottom was still a too bright, so I changed the contrast and brightness of it, and put it closer to the bottom then put a faint black pain over them which I think made them blend in really well. For the other artist I just put a black line underneath him because without it, it just looked like he or the other artist I just put a black line underneath him because without it, it just looked like he was floating, which made the products as whole look really unprofessional. For the title all I did was come up with an easy name to remember,, put it around a black and red background, and then put the name over those, which made it stand out when the product came together in the end.
