From these
results we can
clearly see that
a trailer is the
most popular
marketing
strategy when
trying to attract
an audience.
This means
when making
the trailer I
need to think
carefully about
what would
attract the
biggest
audience.
Although 7:30
is the most
popular time
according to
my survey.
Taking into
consideration
programs like
EastEnders
however we
have decided
to make the
show at 8:30
to avoid
competition.
25-34 and 45-54
are the
stereotypical
audience
according to the
survey.
From these
results we can
see that all
audiences are
seen to appear
to soap
operas.
However from
experience
and further
research it is
evident that
the lower class
are more
drawn to this
genre.
This
highlights
that around
50% of
people who
took the
survey
believe that
a trailer has
persuaded
them to
watch a
soap opera.
This the
importance
of the
effectivenes
s of our
trailer.
From these first set of
answers it is clear that
a trailer plays a
massive role in
attracting an
audience. They give an
insight into what is
going to be happening
in the up and coming
show, enticing people
in.
These results
highlight that
many audience
members are
watching soaps
to escape from
reality. They
emphasise the
use of action
and also the
relatable side to
a soap opera.
The most
popular for
frequency of
the show is
once a week.
When
planning our
trailer and
soap opera I
will have to
take this into
consideration.
This is a positive
response as we
have already
discussed and
finalized the
name. The fact
the most popular
response was
Langley Vale
highlights the
fact that the
name may
already stand
out to people.
From these results it is
evident that the small
community and village
were the most
popular setting
amongst those who
filled in the survey.
This is good as during
a previous brainstorm
collectively as a group
w had decided on a
remote location in a
small village.

Conclusion
In conclusion the survey gave a mix a responses.
Many responses finalized previous decisions and
some made the group re evaluate some aspects
of how we were going to go about making the
trailer, designing the poster and magazine.

  • 1. Primary Research Results Name: Imani Ayimba-Golding Candidate Number: 1012 Center Name: St. Andrew’s Catholic School Center Number: 64135
  • 3. From these results we can clearly see that a trailer is the most popular marketing strategy when trying to attract an audience. This means when making the trailer I need to think carefully about what would attract the biggest audience.
  • 4. Although 7:30 is the most popular time according to my survey. Taking into consideration programs like EastEnders however we have decided to make the show at 8:30 to avoid competition.
  • 5. 25-34 and 45-54 are the stereotypical audience according to the survey.
  • 6. From these results we can see that all audiences are seen to appear to soap operas. However from experience and further research it is evident that the lower class are more drawn to this genre.
  • 7. This highlights that around 50% of people who took the survey believe that a trailer has persuaded them to watch a soap opera. This the importance of the effectivenes s of our trailer.

  • 9. From these first set of answers it is clear that a trailer plays a massive role in attracting an audience. They give an insight into what is going to be happening in the up and coming show, enticing people in.
  • 10. These results highlight that many audience members are watching soaps to escape from reality. They emphasise the use of action and also the relatable side to a soap opera.
  • 11. The most popular for frequency of the show is once a week. When planning our trailer and soap opera I will have to take this into consideration.
  • 12. This is a positive response as we have already discussed and finalized the name. The fact the most popular response was Langley Vale highlights the fact that the name may already stand out to people.
  • 13. From these results it is evident that the small community and village were the most popular setting amongst those who filled in the survey. This is good as during a previous brainstorm collectively as a group w had decided on a remote location in a small village.

  • 15. Conclusion In conclusion the survey gave a mix a responses. Many responses finalized previous decisions and some made the group re evaluate some aspects of how we were going to go about making the trailer, designing the poster and magazine.
