The document outlines a pre-production plan for a soap opera about a kidnapping in the town of Langley Vale. A young girl named Paige goes missing over a weekend and a red ribbon she was wearing is later found. There are three main suspects - Paige's mother's ex-boyfriend Kane who is aggressive, the local milkman Norman who creeps people out, and Paige's uncle Michael who is unstable and acts differently. The show will air on BBC2 at 8:30pm on Mondays after EastEnders to avoid competition. It will include dialogue between Paige's mother and aunt arguing over the suspects and shots of Norman watching Paige to make him seem more suspicious. The

Paige is the reason why
Kane and Tracy broke up.
He is angry at her. He is
known to be aggressive
when things don’t go his
way and acts irrationally
when he feels backed into a
corner. He may have gone
after Paige for revenge.
Michael is somewhat
unstable. He has always felt
like he has been an outcast
because he was ‘different’.
He does everything in his
power to be ‘normal’. He
may have finally gone over
the edge and kidnapped
Paige.
Norman is misunderstood
a lot. He is unable to
effectively express himself
and is unsure on how to
appropriately react in
certain situations. It is
because of this he has been
classified as a ‘creep’ in the
community. He has always
liked Paige, always
watching her as he does his
rounds. People are
suspicious; this is just the
sort of thing Norman might
think to do.
