1. GOAL SETTING
The reasons why I wanted to take this course are first, it will help me get through freshman college biology easily. Second, I need to learn this for my pre-med studies, which I’m planning to take after I graduate from high school. Third, I believe that this class is very essential for my medical career. These first three reasons are as well my primary goals. For my secondary goals, this class will help me become sharper and intelligent. Also, it will help me become more responsible and assiduous. Lastly, I’d like to be more educated about anything concerning biological studies because I’m very interested on it. Additionally, the grade I would like to make on the AP exam is a 5. However, by managing my time and disciplining myself well enough, I will be able to find time to perform 1-2 hours of work daily and pass this class. I will study at 9:00 p.m. to be exact in my own bedroom. Furthermore, I can help myself remember my goals and work by literally sticking post-it notes to my closet door with my goals and work scribbled on it. Also, I would post a big note that would make me think about the final exam and SAT test, and so motivate me do my best to pass both. I should always remember by heart that I’m aspiring to be a Pediatrician. This I believe would be a long process, that’s why I’m trying to train myself now to be prepared for my future. Moreover, my teacher can help me obtain my goals through guiding me through the course itself, motivating me to keep up with the work because it will eventually pay off, and inspiring me that I would be able to reach my goal as long as I keep my mind to it and because she herself had made it this far just by being real focused and determined. Sharing real life experiences such as the struggles and how those were overcome could really help me a lot to become motivated.
