•We use it with normal verbs to express the idea
that’s happening right now or if something isn’t
happening now.
•One thing happened in the past, and in progress at
present time, and probably will continue.
E,g. I am washing the dishes.
Rules to Remeber
•The verb always ends with –ing.
E.g. Think+ing=Thinking
Sing+ing=Singing
Read+ing=Reading
Cry+ing=Crying
•Subject+ is/are/am+ Verb(1st Form)+ing+
Object
e.g. He is reading a book.
He is going to school.
They are playing football.
She is telling a lie.
•This Tense always use the verb to be.
