Present continuous versus Simple Present tense Present continuous:  I  am  watch ing  T.V.  right now.   She  is  listen ing  to the teacher  right now . They  are  play ing  soccer  right now.   Simple Present tense: I watch T.V.  every night . She listen s  to the teacher  every day.   They  usually  play soccer after school.
Simple Present Tense For: I, You, We, They - We DO NOT change the verb For: He, She, It - We ADD “s” or “es” to the end of the verb.  Example:  I watch T.V. every night. She watches T.V every night.
Discussion  Take out a piece of paper  Write your questions on the top of your paper.  Walk around the class, survey and record everyone’s answers. Write two paragraphs summarizing your findings.
Example Paragraph Only four people always sleep in the afternoon.  Two people sometimes sleep in the afternoon.  The rest of the class never sleeps in the afternoon.
