Educative
innovation:
information and
communication
technologies (ICT)
Present students are "digital natives",
they were born and grown up
together with New Technologies
The school aim is to educate students,
trying to amplify the potentiality in
everyone.
The school system
shows up a
significant delay in
the use of
technology and
multimedia
teaching aids
The digital gap, between those who have effective
access to new information technologies and those
who have not, is unfortunately very strong
even in schools
This gap reveals
a disparity between
the current methods of
teaching and learning
The main effect of this gap is that
traditional educational systems are unable to
attract young people as...
... students are
fascinated
by what allows
them to get
in direct contact
with the outside
world
The target of Italian school is to implement
the didactic action.
Digital teaching strategies enhance the
participation of the learnerin an environment
combining knowledge and
know-how
ICT offers tools,
sharing and
cooperation,
allowing teachers
to "provide
education" in an
integrated manner
and also
strengthening the
necessary skills to
learn
independently
Classroom technologies integrated with traditional
resources have to disseminate knowledge, to
promote inclusion and to encourage interactivity
between teachers and students and among
students themselves
Students should systematically experience digital
learning through serious games, reality games, sharing
digital platforms and edutainment
Today digital education represent the most effective way
to make students active, critical and aware citizens.
The 21st century classroom is a global learning
community. Teachers guide their students to discover,
collaborate and understand the world. Students are
engaged learners. The role of technology is to put
learning in the hands of the student; it allows the
teacher to differentiate and pace the student as they
guide them to discover, collaborate, and progress.
But we have to remember
that:
I'm not a fan of technology . I'm a fan of
pedagogy, of understanding how people
learn and the most effective learning
methods. But technology enables some
exciting changes.
“Don Norman”
Teachers who use technology frequently in
their classrooms perceive greater benefits to
student learning--particularly learning 21st
century skills--than teachers who are less
frequent users
We can close the gap and improve what
happens in the classroom by using educational
technology that is the same high quality
everywhere.

attention
