There are 4 phases of wound healing: hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling. This document also describes the mechanism of wound healing. Factors that affect healing include infection, uncontrolled diabetes, poor nutrition, age, anemia, the presence of foreign bodies, etc.

- 3. RIBERA DISTRICT • It is situated out of the original city wall. • Santa Maria del Mar, the basilica • There were artisans, merchants, guilds… • Half of it was destroyed in 1714 . • The Palau de la Música is in this district
- 4. CHARACTERISTICS • It’s an icon of Catalan Gothic • It has space and it is simple • Great light and acoustic
- 5. HISTORY • Built between 1329 – 1383 • Situated under roman necropolis • Damaged and restored several times (Fire, earchquake, etc.)
- 6. ARCHITECTURE • CATALAN GOTHIC - Space and volume - Octagonal bell tower - Simplicity • Geometry • Stained glass windows
- 7. ARCHITECTURE: GEOMETRY • The plant has three naves with an ambulatory • The square is used like a pattern. • Octogonal bell tower, and octogonal pillars.

- 11. CONCLUSIONS • Santa Maria del Mar is the second church more important in Barcelona. • It is important because it was built by the neighboors and promoted by the nobility. • Nowadays the basilica is an important turistic place in Barcelona.
