The Atmosphere Of A Space
Atmosphere is a powerfully, ever present phenomenon that is accepted and attributed to how we
perceive an environment. It is relevant in every aspect of a space, and used by designers of all fields to
influence, teach and evoke an emotion or mood creatively. There is a kind of intimacy within the
development of an atmosphere and it is a powerful intermediary between the subject and object
(Bohme, 1993, p118). Through the manipulation of various physical components, a designer can set a
mood, that seems to fill the void in a space which is important as an artwork cannot be grasped solely
through its concrete qualities (Bohme, 1993, p116). An important idea within this atmospheric
appreciation is that it is how we perceive a space, which creates our mood. Each individual will have a
different perception of a space and how the various elements radiate towards him or her. A designer s
aim is to engage the audience for the full duration of being in a space and it is these atmospheric
qualities that predominantly control this. This essay will take a significant look at the creation and
development of atmosphere within a space, in particular fashion runways. It will give a brief
introduction into the idea of an atmosphere and how designers can create certain moods and emotions
by controlling various elements within a space. There will be focus on the work of iconic fashion
designers, and the atmosphere they individually set out to create.

1. What is the r value for the relationship between Hamstring strength index 60°/s and the Shuttle run
test? Is this r value significant? Provide a rationale for your answer.
ANSWER: The obligatory r value is 0.149 and this r value is not significant since the p value for this
correlation coefficient or r is 0.424 which is extra than 0.05 or 0.01 and henceforth at 5% and 10%
both level , the null hypothesis of insignificance cannot be rejected and the assumption is the r value is
not significant.
2. Consider r = 1.00 and r = −1.00. Which r value is stronger? Provide a rationale for your answer.
ANSWER: ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Besides the values are displaying a stouter association secondary to upsurge in absolute r value.
9. The researchers stated that no significant relationship could be described between Hamstring
strength indices 60°/s and functional stability. Given the data in Table 5, explain why not.
ANSWER: It is correct as the p values for Hamstring strength indices 60°/s and all variables remained
grander than 0.05. The p values were 0.08, 0.06, 0.424, 0.506, and 0.802. These p values do not
suggest significance at the 5% level. The r values among Hamstring strength indices 60%/s and
functional solidity all are not significant at 0.05 and 0.01 both significant level. Therefore, suggests no
significant connection and because of this cause, this can be conclude that not any significant
connection possibly will be defined among Hamstring strength indices 60%/s and functional solidity.
10. Consider the relationship reported for the Quadriceps strength index 120°/s and the Hop index (r =
0.744**, p = 0.000). What do these r and p values indicate related to statistical significance and
clinical importance?
ANSWER: These r and p values specify a stout constructive statistical significance, as the r value is
nearby to 1.0, and the p value is 0.0 0.05. Clinically this displays that as Quadriceps strength index
120°/s increases in the same manner the Hop index. It is very vital to instruct patients regarding the
significance of strength teaching and workout. The r value

Alfred Hitchcock North By Northwest
Just when you thought Hitchcock couldn t do it any better, he does. North by Northwest is yet another
classic Alfred Hitchcock espionage thriller which is said by many to be the Hitchcock picture to end
all Hitchcock pictures . Myself, along with many others have listed North by Northwest as one of the
greatest films of all time. It was selected in 1995 for preservation in the National Film Registry by the
United States Library of Congress, as being culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant .

In this project, we preferably use survey to collect data and information about our products which is a
primary research method. Survey methodology studies the sampling of individual units from a
population and the associated survey data collection techniques, such as questionnaire construction
and methods for improving the number and accuracy of responses to surveys.
There are some advantages with using survey as research method. Firstly, it is relatively easy to
administer that it is the simply method which it is finished through questions mainly. Besides, it can be

Irritable Bowel Syndrome
Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is one of the most common gastrointestinal conditions. IBS is a
chronic disorder characterized by abdominal pain and alteration of bowel function without an organic
cause. It is more common in younger people, and more frequently occurs to women. IBS is seen in
patients under the age of 45 (Mayo Clinic, 2018). The disruption of bowel function may originate
from the GI tract or central nervous system. Stress does not cause IBS, but it can trigger symptoms or
make symptoms worse (IFFGD,2016).
The symptoms vary from slight to severe. The most common sign and symptoms this condition
display is abdominal pain or discomfort in association with the onset of either an alteration in stool

High School Football Is Popular
High school football began in the late nineteenth century along side many college football teams.
Practices became apparent with multiple pep rallies, cross town and county rivals, mascots, marching
bands, and homecomings. High school football is considered to be the first tier of football, prior to
collegiate and professional play if a player is good enough. Over the years, high school football has
gained coverage by broadcast media and games can be featured on regional channels. Overall, high
school football is very prominent in many cities and towns across the United States, but it is especially
affluential in areas of the United States such as the state of Texas. In areas where high school football
is popular, not only do the high school students, players, and parents join in the hype of Friday nights,
but the entire town and community revolves around Friday night. The state of Texas specifically, is
known nationally as a very dominant football state. According to an article from Elite Daily, over
165,000 Texan teens, in over 1,000 schools, participated in high school football. With that being said,
this research will discuss and touch upon the lessons and ideas one can learn about competition,
culture and community from high school football and the areas such as Texas. It will examine the
history of Texas football culture and the concept created entitled Friday Night Lights . Following that
discussion, a cultural comparison will be featured between high school

How Does Sarty Show Identity In Barn Burning
In William Faulkner s story Barn Burning, a ten year old boy, Sarty develops his own identity as he is
trying to resolve the conflict between his loyalty to Abner, his father and accepted social norms of
justice. Sarty is raised by a very poor family in the south who make their means by sharecropping. The
family represents the lot of sharecroppers who have no intentions of improving the conditions of their
life. The sharecroppers work on farms with rich landowners; Abner is a rebel and shows his anger
towards his life by burning landowners barns. Abner influences Sarty, and drives him toward manhood
prematurely by continually putting Sarty in a position to choose between his father s idea of justice
and his own, because of this Sarty is left to decide ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Sarty disapproves of the barn burning and knows that everyone is just looking for the truth and for the
justice system to exact wrongs done. When the first barn burning scene happens the African American
who runs to tell the owner therefore Sarty didn t have to decide whether to tell the owner or let it burn.
In the second barn burning there is a lack of an African American and Sarty has to make his own
decisions. This barn burning Sarty turns against his father. The quote, If I had said they wanted only
truth, justice, he would have hit me again (Faulkner 3). When his father was talking to him it was
obvious that Sarty went into deep thought about this. He was clearly conflicted as what to do. When
he finally told the Peace of the Justice the truth Abner disapproved. Abner s as well had a very
different idea of what Justice was. The moment when Sarty finally began to question is quoted here, I
could run on and on and never look back, never need to see his face again (Faulkner 9). Sarty starting
to think about this more seriously shows he has become a man. Men make their own decisions. Sarty
is young but all that he is put through is the reason why he

Suspense In The Tell-Tale Heart By Edgar Allan Poe
My intrest of this story, was raised by the suspense and the tension throughout the story, not to
mention the blood and awe that builds the story slowly and then picks up the pace to the climax,
where the narrator raves to the police and cannot hide his crime anymore. I imagine, that i m in an
apartment with a nasty sense and with dark wood panelling and flooring. The furniture is musty or
dusty. This literary work left me both terrified and disgusted. I could not believe that a human being
could kill another person with such malice and for seemingly no reason. The part where the unnamed
character cuts up the old man s body and then shoves him under the floorboards, produced images in
my head that made it very hard for me to sleep that night! I think the unnamed character is a sociopath
because he killed the old man because of his eye. He even goes so far as to say in the ... Show more

The unnamed character who confesses to murder right since the beginning, it gets the audience to
wonder why he is mad, it is a great hook to get people interested. The description of the ugly eye,
waiting in the dark, the horror of the old man, the audacity of placing the police right above the dead
body, the beating heart, the ringing in his ear and the gushing confession are all so suspenseful, and
intense. Another reason that it is still widely read today is that it is relatively short and easy to
understand. People normally get tired of books with too many hard words, so they put it down but in
this story there aren t as many hard words and it The last reason is that it is still widely read today, is
because people now a days love that adrenaline rush, they read and watch horror/suspense movies just
to scare themselves, it gives them goosebumps, chills etc. The horror/suspense genre has become more
popular in the recent years. In the olden days there weren t as many horror movies released compared

Case Study Formula 1
Q1. What do you need in order to succeed in Formula One? The case studies emphasise that all three
racing teams focussed on different strategies. Their strategies changed within the environment and
circumstances, but what is overwhelmingly evident is that a team needs all the elements to be in
synergy and for focus to be on every aspect of the strategy. As the old adage, A team is only as strong
as its weakest link. This means that in order to be successful and to maintain success, you ve got to get
all the elements right, the overall package, the budget, the designer, the engine, the drivers, the
organisation and every aspect, from what is deemed most important to the least important, all play an

Whilst all of these technological developments were taking place in the F1 arena, Ferrari chose to
focus on it s long term strategy which focused on the development of the V6 turbocharged engine.
This essentially meant that their drivers were now competing with cars that no longer held a
competitive advantage, in fact the cars were now considered inferior. The fundamental flaw in this
instance was that Ferrari had ignored the change in trends in the immediate environment and stuck to
what they felt worked. The strategy was to exploits their strengths but neglected the opportunities that
presented themselves. They had failed to respond to an immediate threat, thus exposing their
weaknesses and allowing themselves to retrogress to the extent that Ferrari was no longer considered a
threat. This was further compounded by the problems that were being experienced between Audetto
and Laude, Ferrari s strength was derived somewhat from the relationship between Team Boss and
Driver and with Audetto not being able to accomplish this, it impacted on the performance of the
team. In addition, the heavy reliance on the driver, meant that the team was left at the mercy of it s
driver, this was evident when Laude was unable to compete for six weeks, this allowed the
competition to close in on the lead that Ferrari had established. What

This is as evident in the most updated from AHA s ACLS guidelines. Aspirin s mechanism at the
cellular level is inhibition of cyclooxygenase 1 and 2, which causes decreased arachidonic derivative
formation in pain and inflammation. At a low dose form, it causes irreversible acetylation of COX 1
leading to inhibited thromboxane A2 production, which results in inhibited platelet generation; an
antithrombotic effect.

American Hustle Movie Analysis
The Art of Survival
I ve always had a particular fondness for movies that made me think. I love long, drawn out movie
scripts that include lots of plot twists, where the movies intent and message is not always clear right
up front. This particular reason is why I chose to evaluate the movie American Hustle. I really enjoy
watching this movie because of the overall story, the characters, and the actors that were cast in this
production. The movie, American Hustle, is a comedy drama that is loosely based on the real life FBI
sting, called ABSCAM, that took place in the late 1970 s and early 1980 s. The movie centers around
two con artist named Irving Rosenfeld, played by Christian Bale, and Sydney Prosser, played by Amy
Adams, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
My favorites were Christian Bale, Jennifer Lawrence, and Robert De Niro. The transformation that
Bale put himself through in order to play this role was incredible. He has a history of gaining and
losing weight for various roles but I had never actually seen this for myself until I watched this movie.
Bale gained 43 pounds, shaved his head to produce a realistic comb over, and changed his posture by
slouching which shortened his height by 3 inches and resulted in a herniated disc. Jennifer Lawrence
was very good in this film. I love how she can immerse herself into any character, bring them to life,
and still have pieces of her own personality shine through. Even though Robert De Niro s part in this
movie was practically nonexistent, he still made a lasting impression on me. He played the part of a
legendary mob boss and casino owner named Victor Tellegio. I felt this character fit De Niro so well
because he has this serious demeanor and at times can look very intimidating. In his scene, De Niro is
sitting down at a pool table with the sheikh and a couple of other mob bosses as well as Bradley
Coopers character, and he attempts to talk to the sheikh in English. Coopers character, Richie DiMaso,
informs Victor Tellegio that the Sheikh only speaks Arabic and, unbeknownst to anyone else at the

Cervical Cancer Topic Overview
The cervical cancer indicates the growth of abnormal cells on the cervix, which is the lower part of the
uterus that opens into the vagina. Cervical cancer has the ability to invade or spread to other parts of
the body. Cervical cancer is one of the most common cancers in women worldwide as it is the fourth
most causes of death from cancer in women. The American Cancer Society estimates that about
12,900 new cases of cervical cancer will be diagnosed in 2015 and about 4100 women will die from it.

Hysterectomy: During this type of surgery for treating cervical cancer, the uterus and cervix is
removed.
2. Radical hysterectomy: Usually, this type of surgery is recommended for a very small percentage of
women with early cervical cancer. This procedure involves the removal of the uterus and cervix as
well as the surrounding tissue and the upper part of the vagina. During this procedure, the lymph
nodes in the pelvis are removed. If this surgery is performed on older women then the ovaries are
removed and if it is performed on the younger women, then the ovaries are left behind so as to
preserve the ovarian function.
3. Pelvic extenteration: This type of surgery is an option for women with recurrent or advanced
cervical cancer. During this surgery, the cervix, uterus, vagina, bladder, ovaries, rectum and nearby
lymph nodes are removed. The tissues from elsewhere from the body is used for reconstructing the
vagina. The urine and stool is made to pass into the external bags.
Cervical Cancer survival rates:
The five year survival rate is the percentage of women who survive at least for five years after
detection of cancer. The cervical cancer survival rates for all stages are about 68%. If the cervical
cancer is detected at an early stage, then the five year survival rate is nearly

Analysis of The Day of the Locust by Nathanael West
Nathanael West s The Day of the Locust tells the story of people who have come to California in
search of the American Dream. They travel west hoping to escape less than perfect lives and pursue
success in
Hollywood. The characters in this novel dream of a life of luxury, having lots of money, and living
happily ever after. They eventually come to the realization that the seemingly picture perfect life that
California represents is not as easy to attain as they once thought. The characters in The Day of the

Faye. This compulsion eventually leaves Todd with feelings of failure and breaks him down. Faye
could only love a handsome man and would only let a wealthy man love her (67). Faye constantly
disregards Todd s feelings for her, slowly crushing his dream life. Faye s insincere discernment of love
is a prevalent example of Hollywood s degenerative impact upon those in search of materialistic
success.
Todd s failed efforts to gain the love of Faye Greener characterize his downfall and failure to aspire to
his dreams and goals. While continuing to pay no attention to Todd, Faye Greener strives to become
famous among the movie scene in Hollywood. Her beauty and allure are only surpassed by her
rapaciousness and materialism. A dim cognizance of these traits lead her to blame herself for her

As we study American history we see that the saying, History repeats itself reveals much truth. As we
look closer at the American Revolution and the American Civil War, we can find many similarities
between the two. Another saying that is made known is that We learn from our mistakes, ; but even the
greatest men and women of our history did not follow. The main causes for both wars were the fight
for liberty. If we are to analyze this issue in both wars, we see that the conclusion of one war leads to

A pamphlet authored by Thomas Paine, became a real best seller and many after reading such
literature were ready to fight for their freedom. These legislatures were derived from the King of

brought the people together in a patriotic manner. Soon, a document that would change the lives of
many was constituted for the citizens of America. The Declaration of Independence was then formed
and granted all men freedom and equality.
Freedom was finally rewarded to Americans, but how they manipulate, it was up to them. Was
freedom and equality guaranteed for all men and women? Studying history we see that it does differ
and in the Declaration it states, all men are created equal. ; This gets interpreted as all white men are
created equal. In having such frame of mind, civilians began disputing. Not for the equal rights
primarily, but for the unlawful slavery that was occurring. This time in history many laws and acts
were distributed but often ignored such as the Fugitive Slave Acts 1850 and the Wilmont Proviso of

Taking a quality of life approach, the research questions that this paper aims to answer are: what are
eWorker s individual perceptions and closely held beliefs about their work arrangements? Is eWork a
good work arrangement as perceived by the workers themselves? The focus on individuals, rather than

what these work arrangements mean for individual people and how they affect their lifestyles and

International Governmental Organizations And Organizations
Introduction Other names for intergovernmental companies are international governmental
organizations or intergovernmental organizations. These are organizations that are primarily made up
of the sovereign state that are termed as member states. They may also be made up other
intergovernmental organizations. Intergovernmental companies/intergovernmental organizations are
usually referred to as international organizations; however, the definition may also cover international
non governmental organizations (Taninchev, 2015). Some examples of international non governmental
organizations are multinational corporations and international non profit organizations. When it comes
to public international law, intergovernmental companies turn out to be an important aspect. These
organizations are created by treaty. The treaty acts as a charter that makes up the group. During the
formation of treaties, governments of many states (lawful representatives) undergo the process of
ramification. This process of ramification gives the intergovernmental companies an international
legal personality. In a legal sense, intergovernmental companies need to be distinguished from simple
coalition or grouping of states, such as the Quartet or G8. Simple coalitions or grouping have not been
created by a constituent document. They are only present as task groups. There is also a big difference
between intergovernmental organizations and treaties. A number of treaties that are usually made do

Whilst the Allied victory of World War II often has considerable connotations with the D Day landings
of British and US troops, the significant contributions of the USSR that allowed such events to occur
with such success must be acknowledged. The Germans engagement on the Eastern Front ultimately
gave the opportunity for the Western Allied invasion of Germany to occur, as a large percentage of
total German troops were defeated by the Red Army on the Eastern Front, the Luftwaffe was
devastated by endless supplies of enemy Soviet aircraft, and the remaining German divisions were
forcefully divided unequally between the two fronts; leaving the western German defences

The Inventions from the Bubonic Plague
The bubonic plague, which has gone by many names over the years, has caused millions of deaths and
is still around today. However, after the Plague hit Central Europe, there was a huge increase in
quality of life. Religion was adversely affected as the churches were unable to stop or even slow down
the Plague causing most of the population to lose faith. The economies changed in amazing ways for
peasants with the loss of the feudal system, and life expectancy was improved with the creation of
modern medicine.
What is the Pestilence?
Caused by the bacterium Yersinia pestis, the bubonic blague, also known as the Black Death and the
Pestilence to Central Europe in the mid 1300s, is named after the buboes that appear on the groin,
armpit, or neck within a week of being infected. Buboes are swollen lymph nodes filled with fluid that
can reach up to the size of a large chicken egg. They are tender to the touch and are black in color. The
onset of symptoms start with a fever and chills and progresses to headache, fatigue, muscle aches, and
a cough that produces blood or sputum. Giovanni Boccaccio was an Italian writer living in Florence in

Murder Of The American Detective
Murders in the Rue Morgue is one of Edgar Allan Poe s more famous literary works. Arguably. Poe
may be called the father of the American detective story with his trilogy involving Det. Dupin in
Murders in the Rue Morgue, the Purloined Letter, and the Mystery of Marie Roget. Poe uses the
peculiar eccentricities of hero Detective C. Augustus Dupin to make these mysteries enthralling to the
reader. Dupin is purported to be the forerunner to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle s genius detective Sherlock
Holmes. Poe created a new genre that captivated the imagination of his readers and paved the way for
both English and American authors to write detective stories. Poe gives his Detective Dupin the ability
to think outside the box to take in every little detail to solve the problem using the technique of
deductive reasoning. Poe describes Detective Dupin of having the capability of processing a certain
kind of genius whose mind combines the qualities of the rational or analytic with the fanciful or
intuition. The narrator is astounded by Dupin s ability to weed his way through situations with his
mysterious usage of observation with only the tiniest of details to bring him to the solution. In the
scene of the alleyway, Dupin uses his surroundings as a guide to concur what it is that his faithful
friend, the narrator, was thinking about. Dupin, said I, gravely, this is beyond my comprehension. I do
not hesitate to say that I am amazed, and can scarcely credit my senses. How was it possible

Case Study Of Catering For Dementia
ntroduction Chapter One
1.1 What is Dementia?
Dementia is a broad term used to describe a various amount of diseases that are associated with the
decline in the mental state. One of the most common forms of dementia is Alzheimers. It is the main
culprit for almost half the cases of dementia seen in patients (O Shea, 2007). Other common forms of
dementia include vascular dementia, mixed dementia and lewy body dementia. The more uncommon
forms of dementia include picks disease, creutzfeldt jacob disease, parkinsons and huntington disease.
There is no specific cause for dementia. There have been more cases each year of younger patients
below the age of 65 years old with the disease which shows that old age is not the only factor in the

(2015) has described dementia in Ireland as underfunded and under developed . This is an issue in
Ireland because there is a fast growing rate of dementia patients seen each year. The increase in the
number of dementia patients makes it even more important to provide more community resources,
such as community projects and more community services.
The various methods of housing and care facilities in the EU are housing with care, sheltered housing,
hostels and specialist care units. The main form of care for people suffering from dementia is family
and home care. There are very few care facilities located in Ireland compared to those in other EU
countries. People with dementia usually do not receive the treatment and attention that they need until
it is too late. Cahill et al. (2012) explains that the funding system in Ireland is more supportive of
home care rather than long term care facilities. Only 6% of dementia funding is available to
community care services. It is a large belief that most patients with dementia are disregarded or
ignored due to the fact that the process of caring for them is difficult and stressful for nurses and
doctors (Walsh et al.,

An even better idea was trade. The idea is talk to a lot of merchants and get them on your side. Then
build a lot of roads across the desert and spread the news about paradise (Document B). This will
happen fast because all of those camels I mentioned. Islam also spread because people like their
government. They had people who were called caliphs who did a great job. They also sang Hymns
which the people loved and they signed up. So that s how Islam spread very quickly. Each reason was
more important than the one above it. Mini Q Sample Essay: Basic Proficiency Why Did Islam Spread
So Quickly? It all began in a cave. Muhammad started Islam in 610 BC and after that it spread
throughout Arabia and regions near it. Islam was able to do this quickly because of its military
success, trade connections, and political order. One reason Islam spread fast was because Muslims
used force. From the beginning, Muhammad believed that Arab Muslims should not attack other
Muslims. However, they could raid non Muslims and take their things. These were called ghazu raids
(Document D). Later the raids got bigger and became military campaigns and spread across the
middle east, North Africa, and into Spain (Document C). Without force, Islam would not have spread
so quickly. Another thing that helped spread Islam quickly was how good they were with trade.

The General Analysis Of Invertebrate Richness And...
DISCUSSION
The general analysis of invertebrate richness and diversity prove that shallow leaf litter is more
biodiverse than deep leaf litter. From graph 2, shallow leaf litter is proven to be more biodiverse where
the spread of invertebrate richness is higher with a relatively low rate of error denoted by the low
standard deviation. Similarly, figure 6 also shows a similar trend where the mean of shallow leaf litter
diversity was greater than deep leaf litter. The mean results of invertebrate abundance also show
shallow leaf litter to be more abundant, however this is affected by the extreme outlier seen in figure
2, where there is a large leeway for error due to the high standard deviation. This may be due to
human error due to transcription, an error in counting the amount of species or the designated shallow
leaf litter contained species that were extremely common, providing a large abundance value.
However, figure 1 and the comparison of boxplots in graph 1, show the overall values of deep leaf
litter are centred higher, indicating that deep leaf litter has greater abundance, excluding outliers.
Similarly, the analysis of richness and diversity indicate that deep light traps are more biodiverse than
shallow light traps and are quite trustworthy as shown by the low standard deviations. According to
figure 6, the mean of both habitats were very similar but deep light traps had a slightly higher mean.
Abundance of deep light traps also proves to be greater if we

Chopin During The Romantic Era
The romantic and classical era of music popularized many talented composers who are still
remembered today because of their addition to the musical art. Amongst these great artists is Fryderyk
Franciszek Szopen also known as Frédéric Chopin. Chopin was born March 1, 1810 in Zelazowa
Wola, Poland where he was raised in a middle class family. Being introduced to music at an young age
Chopin became an expert with the piano, an instrument that went along with some of his greatest
works. Chopin s most famous works took place during the romantic era, and he wrote mainly for solo
piano. Chopin s first encounter with the art began at home where his father worked and with his
mother who spent time around the art. His father s employment exposed young Chopin to cultured
Warsaw society, and his mother introduced him to music at an early age(Frederic). By the age of 6 he

George Sand, who was a novelist and their relationship lasted for many years. Chopin is remembered

composers to study closely the music of their own countries(classical net). With the extreme diversity

Including such checklists with the statements themselves both documents the work that the employees
performed as well as the procedures and controls involved in the work (Bragranoff, Simkin, Norman,
2008, p. 66). Furthermore, IT managers usually report to whoever manages corporate accounting; and
that is because most Information Technology applications deal with accounting transactions. The issue
with this chain of command is that most corporate controllers can authorize and record certain
transactions, such as accounting adjustments and accruals. If they are also allowed to maintain custody
of assets, such as information databases and software applications, all three duties overlap fall under
the same category. The result is Kudler s controller can authorize and record seemingly valid
accounting transactions while altering results to achieve fraudulent objectives. Moreover, controllers
could either make data and software changes themselves or instruct their IT function managers to
make such changes which appear to be valid requests. Kudler has no reason not to trust their
Controller however; the IT auditors have to be professionally skeptical when designing internal
control structures, regardless of the corporate position being reviewed. Because of this, segregation of
duties can be accomplished by IT managers reporting to Human Resources so that all changes are

For example, the author discusses a lite dog food and how the most positive part of the meal was that
it didn t make her fat (313). There is also a small amount of irony in the essay through the idea of a
taste testing going on, although it is not the pleasant experience of its connotation. The effect of this
hilarity creates a stronger contrast between the subject of the essay and comedic tone of the writer.
In using the different techniques of language, description and humor, the author effectively creates a
bond with the reader, while at the same time informing and entertaining. At the core of this essay,
Hodgman is looking at how we view not only our dog s processed and packaged food, but ours as
well. Implied in the text are the questions regarding how well we take care of our pets and ourselves. I
think that the largest unknown within the essay is the question of how she made it through the smell,
texture and appearance of all this dog food. This leaves us being reminded that if you re determined,
there will be a way to make it through the mock bone marrows and the Butcher s Blends and perhaps
find a little bit more in food, and in life, than oily nuggets and canned by products. (553)

Importance Of Cultural Diversity In Nursing
This paper will be discussing the importance of understanding Cultural diversity in nursing. It will be
focusing on understanding the knowledge of cultural diversity and why it s important. I will also
discuss the different attitude that nurses are expose to from different culture. As reference I will be
using the Journal continuing Education in Nursing ; (L. Price, July 1994). According to L. Price
cultural diversity challenges health care providers to facilitate bridging cross cultural gaps with
clients. He believes that it is through culturally relevant care that nurses can serve the needs of all
clients in our diverse society. Mr. Price also stated that nurses can use the following steps to have a
better connection with patients that have a different background from them. The four steps include the
following; (1) health care providers should assess their own cultural beliefs and be aware of general
ethnic, regional, and religious beliefs and practices in their area; (2) develop a teaching plan; (3)
implement the plan. Those are the three topics that I will be discussing in the following pages.
As a uncertificated nurse I strongly believe that it is very crucial for me and my peers to understand
culture and its function in human behavior and society. Specially in Florida where it s a melting pot,
you get in contact with individuals from different national background and ethnicities on a daily base.

The Influence Of Malcolm X On The Nation Of Islam
Malcolm began to work with the leader of the Nation of Islam, Elijah Muhammad, to expand the
amount of black members in the religious group s following. Malcolm X became the minister of
Temple No. 7 in Harlem and Temple No. 11 in Boston, while also founding new temples in Hartford
and Philadelphia. It was then that he met Betty Sanders, who also changed her last name to X. They
married on January 14, 1958, in Michigan, and she gave him six daughters. Malcolm continued his
advocacy and also established a national newspaper,
, in 1960 in an effort to further promote the Islamic message. He a gifted orator and he easily
convinced blacks to end racism by any means necessary, including violence. He did not believe that
equality could always be achieved peacefully. Though his blunt (and sometimes militant) ideas
garnered many critics, it also gained him and his faith a large number of followers. The Nation of
Islam s members grew from 400 members in 1952 to over 40,000 members by 1960.
In 1963, Malcolm X learned that his hero Elijah Muhammad had violated the teachings of Islam by
fathering multiple children out of wedlock. Muhammad was also angered over Malcom s insensitive
comments about the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. These two events led Malcolm to
leave the Nation of Islam in 1964. He embarked on a trip through North Africa and the Middle East

The Pros And Cons Of Kyoto Protocol
Global warming influences every country in the world adversely. In order to relieve this issue, in
1997, United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCC) formulated and enacted
Kyoto Protocol in Japan. At the beginning, more than 150 countries joined the conference. After that,
other countries ratified Kyoto Protocol in succession. Until now, there are about 192 countries have
already ratified the protocol. The United States, however, chose to drop out in 2001 after becoming
one of the participants for four years. (Cable News Network Library, 2017) Drawbacks of Kyoto
Protocol and negative impacts on the economy are two main reasons why the United States dropped
out.
Kyoto Protocol is an agreement that forces all the signatory countries to make great efforts to relieve
global warming. It is widely accepted that greenhouse gases are able to heat earth since they can
prevent heat from escaping from the atmosphere, a reasonable amount of greenhouse gases is needed
to keep the earth warm at a constant and comfortable level, but the overabundance of those gases can
influence earth adversely and thus increase the temperature beyond desirable level. Kyoto Protocol is
aimed at solving this kind of problem. Therefore, we can say that Kyoto Protocol is an international
treaty among industrialized nations that sets mandatory limits on greenhouse gas emissions. (Rouse,

The Evolution Of Human Origins
Initial ideas of human origins are reflected in the ancient mythologies. Later on, religious versions of
human origins appeared. One of the most popular religious theory is creationism. According to it God
had created men and everything else in the world. There are two types of creationism, young earth
creationism and old earth creationism . Ancient philosophy first proposed ideas of the natural origins
of men. Most of its ideas were speculative. It was the product of the ancient philosophers`
imagination, but not a result of researching of objective data. Next Charles Darwin offered the Theory
of Evolution. Until now this theory is the one of the best substantiated theories in the history of
science, supported by evidence from a wide variety of scientific disciplines, including paleontology,
geology, genetics and developmental biology. His theory explains how unguided, natural mechanism
could structure all the processes in the world, while operating in accordance to the laws of nature .
Despite the wealth of evidence from the fossil record, genetics and other fields of science, some
people denounce the theory, invoking a higher being as a designer to explain the complex world of
living things, especially humans. School boards debate whether the theory of evolution should be
taught alongside other ideas, such as creationism. Mainstream scientists see no controversy. Today a
lot of people have deep religious beliefs and also accept evolution . There is also a theory of

Pressure Washing Process Paper
Pressure washing is one quick and thorough way to clean the exterior of your house. Owing to the
scale of the operation, you may want to hire a contractor to do the job for you. Then you ll have to
make sure the service provider you choose is fully qualified for the task. Otherwise, you run the risk
of incurring costly damage to your property.
Below are a few pointers that can help you in your search for a pressure washing contractor that will

them on the specifications of the service, exact procedures, outcome and potential for damage. You
will then be able to get a clearer picture of the service and decide which contractor to award the job.
4. Request a Methods Listing. This list will summarize and outline the steps that the contractor will
take during the project. It maybe part of an estimate or on an entirely different piece of paper. The
methods listing is an excellent tool for comparing and contrasting potential pressure washing services
with one another.
5. Question Equipment Status. Does the contractor own the equipment or are they rented? Contractors
that either own or lease their equipment are typically more reliable and committed to their pressure
washing business. Contractors who rent equipment may be an indication that they are not as

  • 2. The Atmosphere Of A Space Atmosphere is a powerfully, ever present phenomenon that is accepted and attributed to how we perceive an environment. It is relevant in every aspect of a space, and used by designers of all fields to influence, teach and evoke an emotion or mood creatively. There is a kind of intimacy within the development of an atmosphere and it is a powerful intermediary between the subject and object (Bohme, 1993, p118). Through the manipulation of various physical components, a designer can set a mood, that seems to fill the void in a space which is important as an artwork cannot be grasped solely through its concrete qualities (Bohme, 1993, p116). An important idea within this atmospheric appreciation is that it is how we perceive a space, which creates our mood. Each individual will have a different perception of a space and how the various elements radiate towards him or her. A designer s aim is to engage the audience for the full duration of being in a space and it is these atmospheric qualities that predominantly control this. What is the r value for the relationship between Hamstring strength index 60°/s and the Shuttle run test? Is this r value significant? Provide a rationale for your answer. ANSWER: The obligatory r value is 0.149 and this r value is not significant since the p value for this correlation coefficient or r is 0.424 which is extra than 0.05 or 0.01 and henceforth at 5% and 10% both level , the null hypothesis of insignificance cannot be rejected and the assumption is the r value is not significant. 2. Consider r = 1.00 and r = −1.00. Which r value is stronger? Provide a rationale for your answer. ANSWER: ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Besides the values are displaying a stouter association secondary to upsurge in absolute r value. 9. The researchers stated that no significant relationship could be described between Hamstring strength indices 60°/s and functional stability. Given the data in Table 5, explain why not. ANSWER: It is correct as the p values for Hamstring strength indices 60°/s and all variables remained grander than 0.05. The p values were 0.08, 0.06, 0.424, 0.506, and 0.802. These p values do not suggest significance at the 5% level. The r values among Hamstring strength indices 60%/s and functional solidity all are not significant at 0.05 and 0.01 both significant level. Therefore, suggests no significant connection and because of this cause, this can be conclude that not any significant connection possibly will be defined among Hamstring strength indices 60%/s and functional solidity. 10. Consider the relationship reported for the Quadriceps strength index 120°/s and the Hop index (r = 0.744**, p = 0.000). What do these r and p values indicate related to statistical significance and clinical importance? ANSWER: These r and p values specify a stout constructive statistical significance, as the r value is nearby to 1.0, and the p value is 0.0 0.05. How Does Sarty Show Identity In Barn Burning In William Faulkner s story Barn Burning, a ten year old boy, Sarty develops his own identity as he is trying to resolve the conflict between his loyalty to Abner, his father and accepted social norms of justice. The sharecroppers work on farms with rich landowners; Abner is a rebel and shows his anger towards his life by burning landowners barns. Suspense In The Tell-Tale Heart By Edgar Allan Poe My intrest of this story, was raised by the suspense and the tension throughout the story, not to mention the blood and awe that builds the story slowly and then picks up the pace to the climax, where the narrator raves to the police and cannot hide his crime anymore. I imagine, that i m in an apartment with a nasty sense and with dark wood panelling and flooring. The furniture is musty or dusty. This literary work left me both terrified and disgusted. I could not believe that a human being could kill another person with such malice and for seemingly no reason. The part where the unnamed character cuts up the old man s body and then shoves him under the floorboards, produced images in my head that made it very hard for me to sleep that night! As the old adage, A team is only as strong as its weakest link. This means that in order to be successful and to maintain success, you ve got to get all the elements right, the overall package, the budget, the designer, the engine, the drivers, the organisation and every aspect, from what is deemed most important to the least important, all play an essential part of sustaining a winning ... Whilst all of these technological developments were taking place in the F1 arena, Ferrari chose to focus on it s long term strategy which focused on the development of the V6 turbocharged engine. This essentially meant that their drivers were now competing with cars that no longer held a competitive advantage, in fact the cars were now considered inferior. The fundamental flaw in this instance was that Ferrari had ignored the change in trends in the immediate environment and stuck to what they felt worked. The strategy was to exploits their strengths but neglected the opportunities that presented themselves. They had failed to respond to an immediate threat, thus exposing their weaknesses and allowing themselves to retrogress to the extent that Ferrari was no longer considered a threat. This was further compounded by the problems that were being experienced between Audetto and Laude, Ferrari s strength was derived somewhat from the relationship between Team Boss and Driver and with Audetto not being able to accomplish this, it impacted on the performance of the team. In addition, the heavy reliance on the driver, meant that the team was left at the mercy of it s driver, this was evident when Laude was unable to compete for six weeks, this allowed the competition to close in on the lead that Ferrari had established. I really enjoy watching this movie because of the overall story, the characters, and the actors that were cast in this production. The movie, American Hustle, is a comedy drama that is loosely based on the real life FBI sting, called ABSCAM, that took place in the late 1970 s and early 1980 s. Bale gained 43 pounds, shaved his head to produce a realistic comb over, and changed his posture by slouching which shortened his height by 3 inches and resulted in a herniated disc. Jennifer Lawrence was very good in this film. I love how she can immerse herself into any character, bring them to life, and still have pieces of her own personality shine through. Even though Robert De Niro s part in this movie was practically nonexistent, he still made a lasting impression on me. He played the part of a legendary mob boss and casino owner named Victor Tellegio. I felt this character fit De Niro so well because he has this serious demeanor and at times can look very intimidating. In his scene, De Niro is sitting down at a pool table with the sheikh and a couple of other mob bosses as well as Bradley Coopers character, and he attempts to talk to the sheikh in English. Intergovernmental companies/intergovernmental organizations are usually referred to as international organizations; however, the definition may also cover international non governmental organizations (Taninchev, 2015). When it comes to public international law, intergovernmental companies turn out to be an important aspect. These organizations are created by treaty. The treaty acts as a charter that makes up the group. During the formation of treaties, governments of many states (lawful representatives) undergo the process of ramification. This process of ramification gives the intergovernmental companies an international legal personality. In a legal sense, intergovernmental companies need to be distinguished from simple coalition or grouping of states, such as the Quartet or G8. Poe uses the peculiar eccentricities of hero Detective C. Augustus Dupin to make these mysteries enthralling to the reader. Dupin is purported to be the forerunner to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle s genius detective Sherlock Holmes. Poe created a new genre that captivated the imagination of his readers and paved the way for both English and American authors to write detective stories. DISCUSSION The general analysis of invertebrate richness and diversity prove that shallow leaf litter is more biodiverse than deep leaf litter. From graph 2, shallow leaf litter is proven to be more biodiverse where the spread of invertebrate richness is higher with a relatively low rate of error denoted by the low standard deviation. Similarly, figure 6 also shows a similar trend where the mean of shallow leaf litter diversity was greater than deep leaf litter. The mean results of invertebrate abundance also show shallow leaf litter to be more abundant, however this is affected by the extreme outlier seen in figure 2, where there is a large leeway for error due to the high standard deviation. This may be due to human error due to transcription, an error in counting the amount of species or the designated shallow leaf litter contained species that were extremely common, providing a large abundance value. However, figure 1 and the comparison of boxplots in graph 1, show the overall values of deep leaf litter are centred higher, indicating that deep leaf litter has greater abundance, excluding outliers. Similarly, the analysis of richness and diversity indicate that deep light traps are more biodiverse than shallow light traps and are quite trustworthy as shown by the low standard deviations. Accountants do not necessarily need to understand completely how computers process data of the accounting application, but it is essential for them to understand the flowcharts and documentation that shows how this processing works. The purpose of the new system is to integrate the four Kudler locations. Including such checklists with the statements themselves both documents the work that the employees performed as well as the procedures and controls involved in the work (Bragranoff, Simkin, Norman, 2008, p. 66). Furthermore, IT managers usually report to whoever manages corporate accounting; and that is because most Information Technology applications deal with accounting transactions. The issue with this chain of command is that most corporate controllers can authorize and record certain transactions, such as accounting adjustments and accruals. If they are also allowed to maintain custody of assets, such as information databases and software applications, all three duties overlap fall under the same category. The result is Kudler s controller can authorize and record seemingly valid accounting transactions while altering results to achieve fraudulent objectives. Moreover, controllers could either make data and software changes themselves or instruct their IT function managers to make such changes which appear to be valid requests. Kudler has no reason not to trust their Controller however; the IT auditors have to be professionally skeptical when designing internal control structures, regardless of the corporate position being reviewed. Because of this, segregation of duties can be accomplished by IT managers reporting to Human Resources so that all changes are reviewed through a different department (Hunton, Bryant, ... The effect of this hilarity creates a stronger contrast between the subject of the essay and comedic tone of the writer. In using the different techniques of language, description and humor, the author effectively creates a bond with the reader, while at the same time informing and entertaining. At the core of this essay, Hodgman is looking at how we view not only our dog s processed and packaged food, but ours as well. It will be focusing on understanding the knowledge of cultural diversity and why it s important. I will also discuss the different attitude that nurses are expose to from different culture. As reference I will be using the Journal continuing Education in Nursing ; (L. Price, July 1994). According to L. He believes that it is through culturally relevant care that nurses can serve the needs of all clients in our diverse society. Mr. Price also stated that nurses can use the following steps to have a better connection with patients that have a different background from them. The four steps include the following; (1) health care providers should assess their own cultural beliefs and be aware of general ethnic, regional, and religious beliefs and practices in their area; (2) develop a teaching plan; (3) implement the plan. Those are the three topics that I will be discussing in the following pages. As a uncertificated nurse I strongly believe that it is very crucial for me and my peers to understand culture and its function in human behavior and society. One of the most popular religious theory is creationism. According to it God had created men and everything else in the world.
