Select five sources. Explain how useful these sources have been in informing you in your enquiry into
the main features of trench warfare on the Western Front in the First World War. Introduction The five
sources that I have selected to help with my enquiry are photographs, an extract from a newspaper
article and a soldier s diary. The reasons why I chose these five particular sources is because I believe
that they are a wide variety of selections, dating back to many years, all ranging from the start of the
war to the end of the war. However, one of my sources, the newspaper article, was published in 2008
so it is more of a recent source but still, very useful and effective. From my own knowledge I know the

They could fire up to six hundred rounds per minute and was able to cut down the lines of attackers
causing huge casualties. Machinery guns was used on the Western Front to bring down/cut down the
lines of attackers very easily. There were many more weapons used. However, this source does not
show any of these weapons or how it is being used at the Western Front. It also does not tell us or
show us how many people were injured or died in the first battle of the Somme, but from my own
knowledge I know that there were sixty thousand casualties on the first day of the battle of the
Somme. Casualties includes both dead and wounded. The normal proportion was about four wounded
for every man killed, so approximately twelve thousand died and fourty eight thousand were
wounded. Because this photograph is quite a close up one you begin to question whether or not this
image was actually staged. The soldiers are actually looking at the camera and smiling which makes
you question the reliability of the source. I also happen to know that it would have been pretty hard for
a person to have taken a photograph of the trenches close up. There were shells everywhere; it would
have been really dangerous

The Realist Theory Of International Relations
When Arab spring started to influence various countries in Middle East and North Africa with domino
effect in 2010, Libya was one of these countries. There were uprisings in the regions because of the
bad economic conditions, lack of the democracy, human rights, and people s demand for democracy of
the cruel dictators. The demands or discomforts were same in Libya, but process of the Muammar al
Gaddafi s regime s end was different from others as it was intervened by coalition states and NATO.
Libya s intervene was carried out by the 1973 numbered resolution of United Nations Security
Council in March, 2011. The reasons of the intervention were expanding democracy in the region,
ending Gaddafi s violence through civilians and changing the regime. However, unlike other
interventions in international area, it was quick and sudden. Therefore it was obvious that other than
providing good life conditions to Libyan people, there were also other purposes of the coalition states
through Libya s rich resources.
Realism theory
On the realist theory of International Relations, the basic assumption of this theory is that states in
their foreign affairs, must pursue power, and ensure that they act rationally with the most appropriate
step that will be taken to perpetuate the life of the state in a hostile and threatening environment. A key
principle of realist theory is that of survival and it could be argued that in the domestic politics
governments create and enforce laws to

Comparing Democracy Gaps And Participation
The actual aim of this study is regarding comparing democracy gaps and participation between Arab
Muslim countries and non Arab Muslim countries. The authors explain that the sixteen Arab countries
in the world are not democratic and have the lowest rates of Gross
Domestic Product per capita (GDPpc) concerning competitive elections. The authors continue in their
arguments and study stating that thirty one countries which are Muslim, but non Arab in contrast have
much higher rates of GDPpc in competitive elections.
The authors are trying to examine what makes such differences in these two different categories of
countries. The authors begin their thorough examination studying from the years from 1972 to
2000. The authors start contrasting countries that are Arab Muslim and non Arab Muslim, and the
authors study regarding electoral competitiveness found that religions other than Islam dominate. The
second stage is by qualitative, which is measuring more by quality than by quantity, it concentrated
more on evaluating all the forty seven Muslim dominant states and seeing which met the standard to
be labeled as an electoral competitive state. The authors then move to the third and last stage of their
examination, which they emphasize on the five main theoretical and political suggestions that the prior
two stages declare.
The authors studies are not based on legitimate democratic countries, but on two standards, first, the
countries that had reasonable fair

INTRODUCTION
HEALTHSOUTH Corporation (HEALTHSOUTH) began its rise in 1984 when Richard Scrushy,
Aaron Beam, and other close associates formed the HEALTHSOUTH Empire with venture capital
from New Enterprise Associates of Baltimore. In the beginning, Richard Scrushy was the chief
executive officer (CFO), Aaron Beam was named the chief financial officer (CFO) and William Owen,
an accountant from Ernst and Young, assumed the position of comptroller. HEALTHSOUTH went
public in 1986 and began rapidly growing through the acquisition and construction of new
rehabilitation hospitals, outpatient clinics, and diagnostic service centers. HEALTHSOUTH was

Overview of Key Evidence of the Prosecution
Richard Scrushy, former Chief Executive Officer of HEALTHSOUTH Corporation, was ultimately
charged with one count of conspiracy, ten counts of money laundering, thirteen counts of wire fraud,
seven counts of mail fraud, two counts of securities fraud and lying to United States investigators, two
counts of falsifying statements, and one count of falsifying certifications. The charge of securities
fraud led to a probe of possible insider trading in his sales of HEALTHSOUTH stock. There is
evidence which supports that HEALTHSOUTH S administration began fraudulently cooking the
books in the mid 1990s in an effort to build a sophisticated corporate Empire by:
· defrauding the system of payment (Medicare),
· increasing returns by playing on the vulnerability of citizens through over servicing and
overcharging,
· cutting the costs of care by understaffing, under resourcing and under servicing, or
· by a combination of any two or more of these.
Human and financial resources were diverted from healthcare to marketing, to provide funding
sources for HEALTHSOUTH to be competitive in the healthcare arena. Reallocating financial
resources also provided HEALTHSOUTH with adequate funding for political donations, which is said
to have influenced political decisions,

Mean Men Case Study
CHAPTER FOUR The Mainstreaming of Mean Mean men are hardly a new phenomenon, and the
tyrannical boss has been a familiar archetype in American culture ever since the invention of the
modern industrial era workplace. In fact, in many ways organizational culture is far more touchy feely
now than it used to be much as corporeal punishment in schools is out, along with spanking your kids.
Yet powerful forces have been at work in American society that have fueled bad behavior in high
places, allowing more mean men to get to the top and stay there, even as they create misery all around
them. These forces can be roughly divided in two baskets: first, thanks to changes in the economy and
business, men can rise to leadership roles without having to pay their dues in large organizations and
having their rough edges sanded down along the way. Second, thanks to a combination of economic
and cultural changes, men feel more license to exhibit outsized personality traits, including very
negative ones, and can more easily get away with bad behavior as long as they get results. Let s dig
into the both these baskets. Free Agent Nation It s unlikely that a guy like Aaron could ever have

Data And Information On Health Information Management
The terms data and information are often used interchangeably, however, with health information
management, there are differences. Health information begins with data which are items, observations
or raw facts. Data, when collected, does not necessarily have to be understood by the person gathering
it. It is simply a collection of facts (Davis Lacour, 2014, p. 33). In order to understand the various data
that is collected it must be organized. The goal in doing this is to provide information. Data refers to
the units of observation while information is data that has been organized, making it useful (Davis
Lacour, 2014, p. 34). When a patient is hospitalized, if his/her temperature is taken and simply listed
in a vertical line that information is useless to anyone who looks at the list. There is nothing that
explains what the numbers represent, let alone help a provider with patient care. When organized with
dates and times, along with the appropriate notation of Fahrenheit or Celsius, the data becomes
information and important in the provider s treatment of the patient. Health data is not only used by
medical providers. It is also used by facility administrators, lawyers, payers, and government agencies.
Facility administrators use data to plan strategically regarding what types of services they will offer.
Lawyers use health data to show the type and extent of injuries suffered by their clients. Payers, like
Medicare, Medicaid and other insurances,

Kanye West s New Album
Kanye West s new album is soon upon us and fans have high hopes. Apparently, it will not only be the
album of the year but the album of the life.
For a self proclaimed God, this might not be the craziest statement to make. Of course, Ye s claim of
divinity is dubious at best. As a human being, Kanye has consistently released commercially
successful and critically acclaimed albums. Will the new release be the best album of the life or just
pretty good? Could it even be a rare misstep for Kanye? We will find out soon enough.
In the meantime, let us take a look back at Kanye s storied musical career. The following list will
examine one song from each of Kanye s major solo album releases.
1. Through the Wire
Year: 2004
Album: The College Dropout
Notable line: And I still won t grow up, I m a grown ass kid.
Through the Wire symbolizes Kanye s transition from a producer with a dream to legitimate MC. The
track opens with a pitched up Chaka Kahn sample, Through the Fire, alongside a lively beat. On the
track Kanye is literally rapping through the wire. The rapper s jaw was wired shut after a horrific
traffic accident in 2003. Recorded while Kanye recovered, the song represented something new for hip
hop. It is a clever and funny song chock full of cultural references. The production is soulful and
complex. Kanye set himself up us as a figure between worlds. He was a new kind of rapper that
looked forward, but also respected the past. Jesus Walks may have

Obergefell Vs. Hodges Case
Same sex marriage has always been a sore spot in American Politics. Republicans used the religion
card as the stanzas for disapproval, while Democrats fought to allow the freedom to love who we love
in this world. The Obergefell vs. Hodges case legalized same sex marriage throughout all fifty states.
The fight to legalize same sex marriage had been ongoing since the early nineties. With the right to for
lasting legal bonds until and after death do them part, questions remain. What made this case so much
more effective than those that proceeded it? In what ways are the right to marry whom we want being
protected? And with the current elected officials, will this ruling stand or be overturned? The
Obergefell vs. Hodges case originated with a same sex couple in Cincinnati, Ohio who faced the
grueling facts of a terminal illness. John Arthur, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This being said the court could have taken another route to answer a completely different question, if
the Constitution doesn t require states to grant marriage licenses to same sex couples, does it at least
require every state to recognize same sex marriages consecrated in another state? (Teicholz 1) . This
questioned seemed to have more fluidity to it instead of granting total upscale domination to states not
yet pardoning same sex marriage. If the officials were to have gone this route, couples of same sexes
orientation who married in a state that allowed for a legal marriage yet lived in one that didn t, the
state of residence would at least have to acknowledge the marriage as binding and legal. With time
this idea would have allowed for slow acceptance for conservative based states to come to terms with
the idea of legal marriage between same sex partners. It would also give Obergefell the ability to be
placed on his deceased husband s death certificate. With the gravity of both answers the court still

The Field Of A Real Estate Broker
The field of profession I have chosen to major in, is Real Estate, to become a real estate broker.
Because of my extensive skills in communication, self motivation, and networking, the field of
business would be aptly suitable for me, especially in the field of real estate management and
brokerage. However, in order to meet the requirements of the field, both those pertaining to the current
residential and commercial real estate market and anticipating the future brokerage field, I would need
to not only adapt to the variable demands of the field, but also stay current with new developments in
technology and the economy.
As a real estate agent, every state requires agents to have a license. To obtain a license you must

Along with the demands of the field, to become successful in the business of real estate, it is essential
that I have certain skills. Skills I would need as a real estate agent are communication/interpersonal
skills, networking, and self motivation. In the real estate business, you have to be able to sell yourself,
in order to sell property. Agents have to make clients believe in them, believe that everything they re
saying is true, smart, and that the client is making the best decision by choosing you as a realtor. As a
real estate agent, according to state law, you must work with a broker, so this is where being
communication comes in handy. Another skill that is a major plus to have, is networking. As everyone
says, it s not what you know, it s who you know. So it s smart that you network in this business,
because the more people you know, the more potential clients there could be, and the more sales could
be made. Generally, communication, interpersonal, and networking skills will take you a long way, as
well as self motivation. It is known that in the real estate industry there could be more down days than
ups, due to dramatic, unexpected fluctuations in the economy, it makes sales more difficult for agents,
so if you have self motivation, it could bring something positive to the business, and gives you drive
to work hard. For example, around the years of 2008 2010 there was a great recession. In that
recession, no one could predict when

The Police And Criminal Evidence Act
In this essay I will be describing some key legislation that has been put in place to protect citizens
rights within society.
Legal Rights
The Police and Criminal Evidence Act (1984)
The Police and Criminal Evidence Act (PACE) lays out the rights of suspects and the powers of the
police. The act is split up into 8 sections, together the act covers: stop and search, arrest, detention,
investigation, identification and interviewing detainees.
The fist section is code A; this states a police officer s powers to search a person or vehicle before
making an arrest, stating where and how this should be completed. If the police suspects that someone
has committed a crime they are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The length of time in which a suspect is detained should be kept to a minimum, meaning the search
should be carried out quickly, also whilst trying to minimise embarrassment. An officer should treat
the person being searched, with respect, using their powers fairly and not showing discrimination.
The next section is code B; this covers the power to search premises, seize and retain items found on
premises and people. An officer might have a search warrant, issued by a justice of the peace, granting
powers of entry, search and seizure; this could be to search for stolen property, evidence of serious
crimes, drugs and weapons. The police also have the powers to search a property without a warrant in
order to make an arrest or after an arrest. However entry, search and seizure should be justified before
being carried out as the Human Rights Act 1998 state the right to privacy and respect for personal
property and there might be another way to meet the objectives of the search which aren t as intrusive.
The Powers to search and seize must be used respectfully, fairly and without unlawful discrimination.
This code links with code A, as if a person isn t arrested but is searched whilst conducting the search
of the property, it must be carried out following code A.

Big Sort Phenomenon Analysis
One of the more troubling aspects of the roots of the big sort phenomenon was the role that the ways
we view the role of our representatives plays into exacerbating the big sort phenomenon. Around page
72, the author describes how when communities or constituents demand their representatives to cater
to their specific demands, then that can inflame the massive problems of radicalization in politics. It
reminded me of the two different kinds of representation that I learned about in my high school civics
class. Most people look at their representatives as a form of the delegate model of representation
wherein the representative acts as a mouthpiece of the constituency and they have no real ability to
sway from public opinion. This type of representation is the certainly the most well known type. It s
why we as constituents call, email, or meet with our representatives. We make our voice heard so they
know how to vote. Most of us look at this form of representation as a good thing, yet the author points
out that it is one of the many roots to the problem of the big sort. When communities are already being

go to Washington to talk past one another. Instead, this model generally allows for compromise to be
met. Personally, some of my favorite Congressmen adopt the trustee model of representation, which
allows them to have a back and forth with not only their constituencies but the nation as a whole. It
shows that one of the roots of the big sort is the political mindset that voters have on how

God Violate The Role Of Physicalism In Religion
Hypothetically speaking, the presence of any god more than likely would disprove physicalism by
disproving the foundation of which physicalism is built upon, that all things are physical, because an
omnipresent being could not be physical, and their divine powers would also not be a physical
property, but rather a supernatural power. The presence of supernatural people and events is riddled
throughout almost every culture, with ancient Mayans portraying deities in art work and making
human sacrifices to appease the gods or gain good fortune. Even the concept of god in Christianity, the
most prevalent religion on Earth violates the concept of physicalism because an omnipresent god who

Nursing Home Care

In Central Illinois, there is reported by citizens that There is a nursing home in almost every small

the population lacks diversity with about 97% being white non Hispanics (US Census, 2017). It would
make sense that in a nursing home populations show the lack of diversity. However, with the local

populations that are more diverse.

Pros And Cons Of Suburbanization
As one of the oldest cities in the United States, Philadelphia has been though the suburbanization just
like other American cities. As we have discussed above, most nice neighborhood, high quality school
are in suburban area. However, since 90 s, the gentrification is undergoing in Philly. Between 1990
2000, only four neighbors were gentrifying which 1.5% of the total tracts, but this speed has
accelerated since 2000 (Philadelphia Gentrification Maps and Data, n.d.). 84 tracts out of 383 total
tracts are gentrifying now, which makes up 28.7%. One of the possible sign of this phenomenon is the
population is moving back. If the city s gentrification is successful, the population is expected to grow.

How Did Roman Culture Influence Greek Culture
1. During the Agricultural Revolution, humans began settling down in communities and farming. The
more the residents depended on farming, the more the population increased. This made it harder to
revert to the hunter gatherer lifestyle. Human waste also easily contaminated water in settlements. 2.
Settlements had storehouses to keep valuable items and food surplus. Inside storehouses, surpluses
were offered to the gods at the beginning of the harvest season. Food surplus birthed accounting,
writing, and the bureaucracy, for scribes recorded all contributions to the storehouses. 3. Farming was
adopted partly to preserve the beer supply. Beer also helped to make up for the diminishing food
supply. It was safer to drink than the water that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Arab scholars developed instruments that would later be used for European exploration, such as the

developed because slaves were required to work on sugar plantations in these areas. Sugar later
became important for creating rum during this period. Rum was used to buy slaves. Slaves produced
sugar, which was them made into rum, which bought more slaves, and so on. 3. Admiral Edward
Vernon added sugar and lime juice to rum in order to make it more palatable. This cocktail became
known as grog. Sailors often died from scurvy during this period, and the lime juice in grog reduced
the cases of scurvy among sailors drastically. Therefore, British sailors were healthier. French sailors
drank wine, which reduced their immunity to scurvy, when the British navy was becoming more

Senior Paper
Morticians are the people who take care of the deceased. A typical day for people who work in the
morgue includes doing everything involved in funerals, cremations, and burials. The funeral services
dated back to the stone ages and was most notable in Ancient Egypt. In fact, Ancient Egypt had some
of the best preservation methods in history. Some of the things required of morticians are interpersonal
skills, time management skills, compassion, and detail orientation, along with at least an associates
degree in Mortuary Sciences. Since there is always a need for morticians, the job is really quite stable.

One of the things that is beneficial to the career is that since you are working to help people so it can
be very rewarding. Also, the career is beneficial because there is always a need for people in the field
so it is a very secure job. A disadvantage, however is that a lot of times, morticians have to work many
hours to get their work done and may also be on call late at night to bring corpses to the morgue. It is
also necessary to continue your education in this field in order to get proper licensing. While a degree
and apprenticeship is absolutely required, there is always going to be something to learn to help
improve a mortician s skills. Since there is always a demand for people who work in funeral service,
there are almost always opportunities in the field. There are jobs all across New England in this career
since people die every day and need funeral services. Two New England companies that are currently
offering jobs in this field are New England Funeral Cremation Center LLC and Phaneuf Funeral

independently owned businesses who look for people who have a clean appearance, great

restrict the plants ability to change within the constraints scientists have established. Case in point
with golden rice, the isolation of genes that produce specific enzymes may change the type of pests
that damage crops. The variables present with ecological and economic unknowns will not be

Acne Vulgaris Report
December 5th, 2015
Mrs. Cook
Acne vulgaris is a skin condition that is caused by hormone changes that cause our bodies to secrete
more oil that then mixes with dead cells at the epidermis layer and clogs our pores. This is a condition
that mostly affects teens but can also be seen on newborn babies as well as older people. It is
commonly called ACNE.
It can be characterized by small or large red bumps. Sometimes they are raised off the skin, sometimes
they are pus filled and other times they may just swell then go away. The blocked follicles can keep
bacteria trapped in the pores which allows for the bacteria to grow more rapidly. The pus filled heads

European Colonialism In Things Fall Apart By Chinua Achebe
Chinua Achebe s novel Things Fall Apart, and the reading African Challenge both look at the
consequences and benefits of European colonialism on the Igbo people and African culture. The novel
s main character is Okonkwo, who is the head the Umuofia clan, a Nigerian tribe. One of Okonkwo s
personal mission is to not be like his father, who he viewed as a coward and weak. Okonkwo s
accomplishes this mission by being obsessed with masculinity and viewing feminity in a derogatory
way. Okonkwo s hold over his clan is tested by the infusion of missionaries and along with them
colonialism into Nigeria. The African Challenge also talks about the European missionaries and their
mission to spread Christianity amongst the Igbo people and also about the beliefs that both societies
had about eachother. Through the incorporation of the Igbo language throughout his novel, and the
interactions of the Europeans with the Igbo people and their customs presented in both the novel and
African Challenge, we can see both the benefits and consequences that European colonialism had on
the Igbo society and African culture.
Both readings highlight how the Igbo people s insistence on sorcery and ancestral spirits leads to
conflict between the Europeans and the Igbo people. The first instance of conflict that arises in the
novel, is when a missionary to convert a village woman to Christianity, and accidentally kills an
ancestral spirit. This leads to the villagers burning the missionary s huts. The

Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy Essay
Duchenne s muscular dystrophy, also known as psuedohypertrophic muscular dystrophy, is a typical
sex linked disorder in which the muscles degenerate throughout a person s life. It literally means
faulty nutrition of the muscles. Muscular Dystrophy has no cures, and this particular type of muscular
dystrophy affects only males. One in 3,500 baby boys are born with this disorder and survival is rare

few years of their life. In time some common symptoms appear, including: stumbling, waddling,
difficulty climbing stairs, and toe walking (walking on the toes, not letting the heels hit the floor). It is
also very common for a child with MD to develop large calf muscles. This is a condition called calf
pseudo hypertrophy, in which the muscle tissue is destroyed and replaced by fat. (www.kidshealth.org)
Duchenne?s muscular dystrophy usually affects the patient by age five, and they?re usually in a
wheelchair by the age of twelve. Over time the muscles weaken in the shoulders, back, arms, and legs.
Eventually the respiratory muscles are affected, and a ventilator is required to assist with breathing.
Kids with this form of MD usually have a life span of around twenty years. Most kids with Duchenne?
s muscular dystrophy are of average intelligence, although one third of MD cases also experience
learning disabilities, and a few cases have mental retardation. (www.kidshealth.org) Physical therapy
can be used to help a child maintain muscle tone, thereby extending their lifespan. For those that do
have Duchenne?s muscular dystrophy activity is highly encouraged. Inactivity can worsen the muscle
disease. Leg braces can also allow a child with MD to walk independently for a longer period of time.

The Influence Of Fashion Codes In American Beauty Culture
Photos of youthful, skinny ladies (and teens) are seen all over TV, magazines, social media sites and
even kids toys like Barbie and Ken, dolls and puppets. These pictures portray what the perfect women
should look like in American Beauty Culture. Society today has ladies (and teens) being either skinny
and starving or stout and full. I know numerous women, I included, who think they are ugly in light of
the width of their clothes. According to Fatema Mernissi in Size 6: The Western Women s Harem, she
believes that the American fashion industry is controlled by men and is used as a way to dictate ...what
women should wear and how they should look (278). This does not just apply to women and teenage
girls; this can be seen with the image being portrayed as the perfect man and teenage boys.
In today s world, the lifestyle of a person is strongly influenced by the media culture who set the
trends. It should be noted that it is not something that is coerced on people but transpires due to peer
pressure and the urge of wanting to be considered beautiful by following the trends of the era. In this
paper, we will set a discourse concerning how dress codes of American women have been profoundly
influenced by the Fashion industry. From Mernissi s awful encounter with a saleslady in a New York
department store, we can see that the fashion industry has pushed a store to carry only what they
consider to be an average female size of 4 or 6. This is a problem that has invaded

Gender Socialisation Commences At Birth, Parental...
Gender socialisation commences at birth, parental conditioning and expectations are confirmed with
the introduction and expectations that girls play with dolls and boys play with trucks and cars. Girls
are seen as the homemakers whilst boys are guided more towards building, climbing and rough and
tumble play. This continues at primary school where girls are encouraged to wear dresses for their
uniforms and boys shorts or long pants. Boys are chastised if they cry and therefore learn to hold back
their emotions. This could result in excess anger and frustration manifesting into aggression and
possible labelling of the child (UNICEF, 2015). People who internalize the social norms of society are
less likely to commit misdemeanours or advocate drastic social changes. In all societies, however,
there are individuals who do not follow culturally defined standards and social norms. This could be
due to not having received adequate socialisation. These people are usually considered to be eccentric,
mentally ill or criminals and are likely to end up being incarcerated (Anthro.palomar.edu, 2015).
Teaching in the twenty first century classroom brings a multitude of values, ethics, morals, attitudes
and standards. Students are more likely to come from diverse backgrounds which could include single
parent, same sex parents or grandparents as primary carers. These factors will influence how children
are socialised in the child s microsystem, as defined by Bronfenbrenner (as cited in

The Innate Immune System
In the initial phase of an infection, the innate immune system generates a rapid inflammatory response
that blocks the growth and dissemination of the infectious agent. This response is followed, in
vertebrates, by the development of an acquired immune response in which highly specific B and T cell
receptors recognize the pathogen and induce responses that lead to its elimination (Janeway, Jr. et al.,
2002). The antigen receptors of the acquired immune system are well characterized. They consist of
many structurally similar molecules with different binding specificities created by somatic
rearrangements and mutations within the binding site regions of the B and T cell receptor variable
domains (Jung et al., 2004;Schatz et al., 2005). By contrast, the receptors of the innate immune ...

our peers and as individuals. Human Nature is the tool we have used since the first human being was
crated and placed upon this earth. It is the tool we are all born with that directs us in the decisions we
make whether they are wise decisions or bad choices. Human nature is who we are as a species.

So basically everything is left up to the individual. This was a bit much for me to grasp or even try
understanding. I am a Christian and stand firm in my belief in God and what awaits me in the afterlife.
I know and trust in the bible when it tells me that I will be held accountable for all that I do that is
immoral and sinful. My only salvation is to pray for forgiveness and repent. I believe that when I meet
my maker I will be fully aware of what is going on and although my body, the keeper of my soul, will
be no more: I will. I do not believe that I will become a part of nature or this force that pantheists
speak about. I know that I am not God. I am a product of God made in his image.
I found the New Age Movement to be a very interesting worldview. At times it had me scratching my
chin at the different concepts that they boast to be true. In the end and with further research I realize
that they too fall short of Christianity. There is just no way the world will be able to run without any
guidance and if we could govern ourselves then we would all be living in a state of peace right now.
Unfortunately we are not and it is because the world has laid down their bibles and picked up
pamphlets of other hogwash that has blinded them to the way of the bible. There is only one true God
and way to salvation. I continue to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and God the creator. With all the
worldviews I have come in

Joan Of Arc Religion
During the late medieval period there was a handful of warfare and violence. England and France
engaged in the hundreds years war and there was a violent uprising by Europe s peasants known as the
Peasant s revolt. Many figures of this period in medieval history such as Joan of Arc and Thomas
Willinghamin justified these violent actions through religion. In two of Willingham s famous works
about the hundreds years war and the peasant s revolt he justifies war and violence with religion. Joan
of Arc assist France in its was against England and claims that she is driven by God to help France.
Thomas Moore was clearly disgusted by this period of Europe and wrote a famous book known as
Utopia, depicting an ideal society that Europe should emulate. ... Show more content on

Joan of Arc, nicknamed The Maid of Orléans , is viewed as a courageous woman of France for her
part amid the Lancastrian period of the Hundred Years War, and was consecrated as a Roman Catholic
Saint. While Joan of Arc is a major medieval religious figure she was clearly a huge advocate of
violent bloodshed and she used religion to justify it. When Joan made her case to help France win the
Hundred s years war she claimed that she was sent by God to assist England in the war, The King
should not turn away from, or reject, the Pucelle, who says she has been sent by God (The Life of Joan
Arc, 75). It is clear that Joan of Arc believes that England s war with France was part of God s will
and that it was her duty to help assist her country in war. After convincing King Charles to help him in
the Hundreds year war he sends her to the siege of Orleans as part of a relief mission. Joan of Arc s
participation in the war boosted French moral leading to victory. Eventually Joan of Arc is captured
and put on trial. While on trial Joan once again claims that she had visions of saints telling her to assist
in the war, Item, this women says and confesses that she has paid reverence to these voices and spirits
that she calls, Michael, Gabriel, Katherine and Margaret ( The Rouen Trial, 211). Joan is found guilty
of heresy and burned at the stake. Joan of Arc was war hero and martyr and clearly a warfare apologist
using Christianity to justify

Hack An Iphone Analysis
The articles of the constitution have withstood the change of time because our country founders
worded them in such a way so that principle ideas will never be questioned. The FBI in the case of one
of the California shooters, Syed Farook, pressured Apple to hack the phone without the search
warrant. The FBI shouldn t have pressured Apple to hack an iPhone because it breaches privacy, it
violates free speech, and it hurts apple s business.
From the business point of view of Apple, I have seen Arguments that Apple refused to unlock the
phone for business reasons, to protect the Brand. (2) This because Apple phone sales would decrease
because people of the world do not want to be tracked on their phones. Also, the company has a

Government has no right to force anybody to provide Services against their will. (2) If the U.S. did
force companies to provide services to violate personal privacy, freedom or speech, or fundamental
human rights, they would behave no differently than the governments of Russia or China. Unlike the
U.S., these governments have no respect for individual rights or free speech.
On the other hand, many people may argue that by hacking into the shooter s iPhone it would increase
national security. But, The Fourth Amendment was meant to protect Americans from illegal searches.
This means that police or other law enforcement can t search your home, car, or clothing without
permission from a court. It also guarantees Americans right to privacy... It doesn t say that a person s
home or belongings can t be searched at all. It does say that the government must have a good reason
for the search, or probable cause. And the government must get permission, in the form of a warrant
from a judge by showing probable cause. (1) That is because the fourth amendment gives us the right
to privacy.
All in all, Apple did choose the right thing of refusing to hack into the iPhone. If Apple would breach
the Phone, then they would break the constitution by going against the first and fourth amendment.
Also, if Apple did violate the device, then it would have hurt the brand name. To avoid any other
issues such as this one in the future we should amend the constitution or add laws that adjust to
changing technology in the

  • 2. history coursework Select five sources. Explain how useful these sources have been in informing you in your enquiry into the main features of trench warfare on the Western Front in the First World War. Introduction The five sources that I have selected to help with my enquiry are photographs, an extract from a newspaper article and a soldier s diary. The reasons why I chose these five particular sources is because I believe that they are a wide variety of selections, dating back to many years, all ranging from the start of the war to the end of the war. However, one of my sources, the newspaper article, was published in 2008 so it is more of a recent source but still, very useful and effective. From my own knowledge I know the trenches were inhumane ... Machinery guns was used on the Western Front to bring down/cut down the lines of attackers very easily. There were many more weapons used. However, this source does not show any of these weapons or how it is being used at the Western Front. It also does not tell us or show us how many people were injured or died in the first battle of the Somme, but from my own knowledge I know that there were sixty thousand casualties on the first day of the battle of the Somme. Casualties includes both dead and wounded. The normal proportion was about four wounded for every man killed, so approximately twelve thousand died and fourty eight thousand were wounded. Because this photograph is quite a close up one you begin to question whether or not this image was actually staged. The soldiers are actually looking at the camera and smiling which makes you question the reliability of the source. I also happen to know that it would have been pretty hard for a person to have taken a photograph of the trenches close up. There were shells everywhere; it would have been really dangerous ... • 4. The Realist Theory Of International Relations When Arab spring started to influence various countries in Middle East and North Africa with domino effect in 2010, Libya was one of these countries. There were uprisings in the regions because of the bad economic conditions, lack of the democracy, human rights, and people s demand for democracy of the cruel dictators. The demands or discomforts were same in Libya, but process of the Muammar al Gaddafi s regime s end was different from others as it was intervened by coalition states and NATO. Libya s intervene was carried out by the 1973 numbered resolution of United Nations Security Council in March, 2011. The reasons of the intervention were expanding democracy in the region, ending Gaddafi s violence through civilians and changing the regime. However, unlike other interventions in international area, it was quick and sudden. Therefore it was obvious that other than providing good life conditions to Libyan people, there were also other purposes of the coalition states through Libya s rich resources. Realism theory On the realist theory of International Relations, the basic assumption of this theory is that states in their foreign affairs, must pursue power, and ensure that they act rationally with the most appropriate step that will be taken to perpetuate the life of the state in a hostile and threatening environment. A key principle of realist theory is that of survival and it could be argued that in the domestic politics governments create and enforce laws to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The authors continue in their arguments and study stating that thirty one countries which are Muslim, but non Arab in contrast have much higher rates of GDPpc in competitive elections. The authors are trying to examine what makes such differences in these two different categories of countries. The authors begin their thorough examination studying from the years from 1972 to 2000. The authors start contrasting countries that are Arab Muslim and non Arab Muslim, and the authors study regarding electoral competitiveness found that religions other than Islam dominate. The second stage is by qualitative, which is measuring more by quality than by quantity, it concentrated more on evaluating all the forty seven Muslim dominant states and seeing which met the standard to be labeled as an electoral competitive state. The authors then move to the third and last stage of their examination, which they emphasize on the five main theoretical and political suggestions that the prior two stages declare. • 8. Mean Men Case Study CHAPTER FOUR The Mainstreaming of Mean Mean men are hardly a new phenomenon, and the tyrannical boss has been a familiar archetype in American culture ever since the invention of the modern industrial era workplace. In fact, in many ways organizational culture is far more touchy feely now than it used to be much as corporeal punishment in schools is out, along with spanking your kids. Yet powerful forces have been at work in American society that have fueled bad behavior in high places, allowing more mean men to get to the top and stay there, even as they create misery all around them. These forces can be roughly divided in two baskets: first, thanks to changes in the economy and business, men can rise to leadership roles without having to pay their dues in large organizations and having their rough edges sanded down along the way. Second, thanks to a combination of economic and cultural changes, men feel more license to exhibit outsized personality traits, including very negative ones, and can more easily get away with bad behavior as long as they get results. Let s dig into the both these baskets. Free Agent Nation It s unlikely that a guy like Aaron could ever have become a boss fifty years ago. Why? Because he wouldn t have ... • 9. Data And Information On Health Information Management The terms data and information are often used interchangeably, however, with health information management, there are differences. Health information begins with data which are items, observations or raw facts. Data, when collected, does not necessarily have to be understood by the person gathering it. It is simply a collection of facts (Davis Lacour, 2014, p. 33). In order to understand the various data that is collected it must be organized. The goal in doing this is to provide information. Data refers to the units of observation while information is data that has been organized, making it useful (Davis Lacour, 2014, p. 34). When a patient is hospitalized, if his/her temperature is taken and simply listed in a vertical line that information is useless to anyone who looks at the list. There is nothing that explains what the numbers represent, let alone help a provider with patient care. When organized with dates and times, along with the appropriate notation of Fahrenheit or Celsius, the data becomes information and important in the provider s treatment of the patient. Health data is not only used by medical providers. It is also used by facility administrators, lawyers, payers, and government agencies. Facility administrators use data to plan strategically regarding what types of services they will offer. Lawyers use health data to show the type and extent of injuries suffered by their clients. Along with the demands of the field, to become successful in the business of real estate, it is essential that I have certain skills. Skills I would need as a real estate agent are communication/interpersonal skills, networking, and self motivation. In the real estate business, you have to be able to sell yourself, in order to sell property. Agents have to make clients believe in them, believe that everything they re saying is true, smart, and that the client is making the best decision by choosing you as a realtor. As a real estate agent, according to state law, you must work with a broker, so this is where being communication comes in handy. Another skill that is a major plus to have, is networking. As everyone says, it s not what you know, it s who you know. Around page 72, the author describes how when communities or constituents demand their representatives to cater to their specific demands, then that can inflame the massive problems of radicalization in politics. It reminded me of the two different kinds of representation that I learned about in my high school civics class. Most people look at their representatives as a form of the delegate model of representation wherein the representative acts as a mouthpiece of the constituency and they have no real ability to sway from public opinion. This type of representation is the certainly the most well known type. It s why we as constituents call, email, or meet with our representatives. We make our voice heard so they know how to vote. Gender socialisation commences at birth, parental conditioning and expectations are confirmed with the introduction and expectations that girls play with dolls and boys play with trucks and cars. Girls are seen as the homemakers whilst boys are guided more towards building, climbing and rough and tumble play. This continues at primary school where girls are encouraged to wear dresses for their uniforms and boys shorts or long pants. Boys are chastised if they cry and therefore learn to hold back their emotions. This could result in excess anger and frustration manifesting into aggression and possible labelling of the child (UNICEF, 2015). People who internalize the social norms of society are less likely to commit misdemeanours or advocate drastic social changes. In all societies, however, there are individuals who do not follow culturally defined standards and social norms. This could be due to not having received adequate socialisation. These people are usually considered to be eccentric, mentally ill or criminals and are likely to end up being incarcerated (Anthro.palomar.edu, 2015).
