In the play Medea , written by Euripides, we are presented with the story of the ex princess of Colchis
who was once happily married to the king of Iolcus, Jason. While they are still married, they are far
from happy. King Jason has made the decision to abandon his wife and two children to marry the king
of Corinth s daughter, Glauce. Medea is very angered and pained by Jason s actions and decides they
only way to bear this grief is to hurt Jason as deeply as he hurt her. I find Medea s decision to cause
Jason pain to be acceptable but how she does it to be unacceptable.

In doing the research for this project, no such database was able to be found, however.
The final element of this experiment which could use more investigation and changes is the algorithms
used. While the two selected worked for the most part
(excluding the one route A* could not compute), they are likely not the best choice for this type of
search. Finding more robust versions of UCS and A* and including some other algorithms could have
provided more conclusive results as well as giving more interesting data.
The goal of this project was to take a public database of airline flights, select a number of flights, and
run those flights through a couple of the search algorithms studied in class (uniform cost search and
A* search). The algorithms provided some interesting results when run on the ten randomly selected
routes. In almost all of the cases the algorithms were able to find the cheapest path between the
departure and arrival airports, although A* chose a more expensive route once and could not find one

Reading over the brilliant work of Michael Walzer s What does it mean to be an American I have
discovered that the identity of Americans is that of a melting pot. We , as Americans, promote an
abundance of cultures that are interconnected to make our country the amazing place it is today.
Walzer believes in the diversity of America, he realizes that America s cultural diversity is part of what
makes us the best country in the world. Walzer knows that pluralism and national unity go hand in
hand. You cannot have one without the other. Even with the existence of dozens of ethnos that have
the right to vote and live freely as U.S. citizens, we are not in jeopardy of acquiring any negative
consequences. As walzer stated one can reasonably argue that ethnic pluralism is entirely compatible
with the existence of a unified republic. Walzer s opinion on pluralism is diverse as the word would
indicate. To begin with, he stresses the importance of keeping immigration open, and we should be
strongly against any government issued law that would cut off immigrants coming into this country.
No one is indigenous to this country, so in a sense, we are all immigrants. It is morally repugnant to
