Aim: Students will be able to write and to talk about their likes and dislikes
relating to leisure activities, orally and in writing.
Learning Outcome:
REF to Planes y Programas
Exponent: “I like watching TV”, “I don’t like running”, Do you like camping?”.
Target Language:
Meaning: To write and to talk about likes and dislikes in affirmative, negative
and interrogative sentences with peers.
Use: This language is used in daily like when you want to ask or express
your likes and dislikes.
Form: Affirmative: Subject+like+verb+ ing.
Negative:Subject+ do not+ like+ verb+ing.
Interrogative: Auxiliary (Do/does)+ subject+ like+ verb+ing.
CCQ: Do you like running?
Assumed knowledge:
Use of auxiliaries (do/does).
Construction of negative sentences.
Anticipated problems …..and Solutions
Students may misunderstand the instructions
Mispronunciation of the activities presented.
Students may forget to put the S when talking
in third person.
Modeling the instructions before delivering the worksheets.
Modelling and checking pronunciation through repetition
chorally.
To emphasize the S sound.

The teacher writes the aim on the board.

Teacher elicits previous knowledge about vocabulary.

T names the activities and ask the students to repeat

T shows exponent use writing the affirmative and the
negative form on the board.
T asks her students to repeat after her.
T has some pictures of the activities on the board and
introduces a dialogue eliciting the vocabulary learnt.
T highlights the word do.

Today we are going to talk about the leisure or free time activities
that you like and dislike.
What activities do you do in your free time?
Now we are going to see some pictures about leisure activities.
Repeat after me.
Yes, I like or No , I don’t like.
Yes, she likes or No, she doesn’t like.
PRACTICE
T points at the word like to make her students to say it.
T points at the picture make her students say the
activity.
T encourages students to give answers.
T asks students to repeat the whole sentence.
T changes the picture.
T highlights the word does.
T encourages the students to give her the correct parts
of the dialogue.
T presents a woksheet.
T adresses a student.
T shows a picture.
T draws a happy face to elicit a positive answer
The student writes the answer on the board.
T gives the instructions.
T delivers the worksheets.
Now the students know what is expected of them; thus,
the teacher allows them to begin the activity.
Students can now individually rehearse the target
language.
T monitors the student’s progress closely.

Here you have an example you have to write here if your answer
is positive and here if it is negative. Here you have to write the
interrogative form.
PRODUCTION
T offers encouragement where appropriate.
T instructs the students to put their pens down and
supports her sounds that an action that enable students
to understand.
T reviews the student’s answers with them as a group,
chorally.
Ss have the opportunity to rehearse the sounds
together.
T gives another extra worksheet as a homework.
T puts a picture on the board and write chunks of the
dialogue.
T calls up two students to demonstrate the controlled
dialogue to the class.
T encourages the two students to participate in
dialogue.
T shows a picture of an activity and encourages them to
give their personal preferences as a response.
T writes down 10 leisure activities and make the
students write them.
T organizes the students into teams and assign them a
letter- either “A” or “B”.
T gathers the sheets of paper and exchange them. T
gives team A’ sheets of paper to team B’ and team B’
