The document summarizes the plot of the novel "Perfume: The Story of a Murderer" by Patrick Süskind. It describes how the main character Grenouille is obsessed with creating the perfect perfume and commits multiple murders of women to capture their scents. His lack of a personal body odor drives his obsession and crimes. In the end, Grenouille is consumed by a crowd who is bewitched by his perfect perfume creation, demonstrating how his lack of human connections like family and love due to being abandoned led to his amoral and fatal actions.
Sublimation is considered by many to be the most successful of all ego defenses.
If a girl’s love leave her for someone else, she might fly into a rage and create tantrums like destroying all related to him… or she might instead write a poem that expresses how she feels.
The first instance (destroying up all her partner’s items ) is an example of displacement, the redirection of uncomfortable feelings towards someone or something less important, which is an immature ego defense.
The second instance (writing a poem) is an example of sublimation, the channelling of uncomfortable feelings into socially condoned and often productive activities, which is a much more mature ego defense.
And if the poem or poet were one day to be recognized, would that not be the sweetest revenge?
Another example of sublimation is the person with sadistic or homicidal urges
Who joins the military to provide an outlet for these urges, or
Who, like Justice Wargrave in Agatha Christie’s And Then There Were None, becomes a judge who liberally awards the death penalty in murder cases.

No one can deny that William Shakespeare is one of the best playwrights in the history of world literature, if not the best of them. This study will deal with one of the important plays related to Shakespeare, he was active in writing tragic plays during the era of Queen Elizabeth. The study first seeks to conduct an analytical study for the appearances of the ghost characters in the plays of Shakespeare, ghosts have appeared in five plays: ( Hamlet, Julius caesar, Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet, Richard 3).
The first four plays had four ghosts appearances , they are ( Hamlet’s father, Banquo, Julio Cesar, Valentine) .
The study covered the appearance of the ghost character in each of them, commented on the most important observations of the scene of the appearance of ghosts in each of these four plays, and gave an overview of the common characteristics.
Thinking of ghosts in most other plays in all, Shakespeare helps one to take into account current ghost perceptions as these plays are produced. When remembering how these scenes have happened over the years, one can also read how perceptions about fantasies have evolved over time.

We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.

He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.
1. A deadly obsession…
ave you ever thought about the consequences of being
extremely obsessed? In this 18th century novel called “The
Perfume” written by Patrick Süskind, a boy called Grenouille
H
committed several murders to make the perfect perfume. After he
unintentionally suffocated a woman, he realized that he needed to
recreate the girl’s scent. Therefore, with just this goal in his mind he was
awfully obsessed and capable of doing anything to make the ideal
perfume.
After committing
several crimes, all the
people that
surrounded him got
into panic, but
Grenouille did not
care about it. He was
focused just upon
reaching his goal which was to create the perfect perfume without
minding that people around him were suffering because of his actions.
Eventually, when Grenouille went for his 24th victim, the Marquis of
Grasse, a location near Paris, realized that the next victim could be his
daughter Laure –and he was right- whose beauty was the most
gorgeous of the city. He fled with Laure far away from their secluded

It is a literary cross-genre novel,
which was originally written in
German by Patrick Süskind as Das
Parfum, and published in 1985.
Going deeper into the story, you
will get caught up in the sense of
smell that this story has, and its
emotional feeling that the idea of
identity and morality of the
human spirit may carry…
Let you get hooked on the story
of a French perfume apprentice,
who begins to murder women in
order to get the “perfect scent”.

2. secret house to keep her safe. However, as Grenouille had an acute
sense of smell, he could find them easily.
Why was Grenouille wasted
away by such an obsession?
He was not born with his own body scent…
espite of the overwhelming power that Grenouille had to
dominate the whole world if he wanted to, he was never
able to love someone else like any ordinary human in this
D
world –but he was an exceptional man- because he lacked the main
human feature: the scent. It should be noted that even with the
power given by his unique perfume, he could not reach the
happiness. This is one of the biggest morals that this novel leaves the
reader and the reason why you should read it!
People who have already read this novel have claimed that getting
obsessed implies knowing when your actions could hinder not only
someone’s well- being, but also yours. The dramatically ending of this
novel was Grenouille’s death, because he was devoured by the
crowd. People felt bewitched by the scent of the perfume, which
made them think that Grenouille was as an angel.
In the end, Grenouille was the best demonstration of somebody who
is not aware of his or her actions. This character represents the
boundless ambition. As he had never grown up with the support of his
family – because he was abandoned by his mother when he was
born- he never knew what love and morality mean.
A perfect novel for those who want to get captivated by such
narrative which makes the story something unpredictable.
