This document provides an overview of the POSDCORB model of administration and focuses on the "P" component of planning. It defines planning as the process of thinking about and organizing activities to achieve goals. The importance of planning is that it provides direction, reduces risk and uncertainty, promotes efficiency, and facilitates decision making. The key steps in the planning process are setting objectives, developing premises, identifying alternative courses of action, evaluating alternatives, selecting a plan, implementing it, and follow up.
Planning is an essential function of management. Effective planning results in early achievement of objectives.

Elevating Tactical DDD Patterns Through Object CalisthenicsDorra BARTAGUIZ
After immersing yourself in the blue book and its red counterpart, attending DDD-focused conferences, and applying tactical patterns, you're left with a crucial question: How do I ensure my design is effective? Tactical patterns within Domain-Driven Design (DDD) serve as guiding principles for creating clear and manageable domain models. However, achieving success with these patterns requires additional guidance. Interestingly, we've observed that a set of constraints initially designed for training purposes remarkably aligns with effective pattern implementation, offering a more ‘mechanical’ approach. Let's explore together how Object Calisthenics can elevate the design of your tactical DDD patterns, offering concrete help for those venturing into DDD for the first time!

Kubernetes & AI - Beauty and the Beast !?! @KCD Istanbul 2024Tobias Schneck
As AI technology is pushing into IT I was wondering myself, as an “infrastructure container kubernetes guy”, how get this fancy AI technology get managed from an infrastructure operational view? Is it possible to apply our lovely cloud native principals as well? What benefit’s both technologies could bring to each other?
Let me take this questions and provide you a short journey through existing deployment models and use cases for AI software. On practical examples, we discuss what cloud/on-premise strategy we may need for applying it to our own infrastructure to get it to work from an enterprise perspective. I want to give an overview about infrastructure requirements and technologies, what could be beneficial or limiting your AI use cases in an enterprise environment. An interactive Demo will give you some insides, what approaches I got already working for real.

4. Introduction :POSDCORB is a acronym widely
used in the field of management & public
administration that reflects the classic view
of administrative management.
It first appeared in a 1937 staff paper by

5. PLANNING
Definition :“ Planning bridges the gap from where we are to
where we want to go. It makes it possible for things to occur
which would not otherwise happen”.
- KOONTZ & O’DONNEL
6. Meaning :Planning is the process of thinking about &
organizing the activities required to achieve a desired goal.
Planning involves the creation & maintenance of a plan.
Whereas planning predicts what the future should look like.
Planning deals not only physical development but also social
and economical improvement of our society. Good planning
gives meaningful decision for the long term.
7. Importance :The importance of planning are as follows,
O - Planning provides directions
O - Reduces the risk of uncertainty
O - Reduces overlapping & wasteful activities
O - Promotes innovative ideas
O - Facilitates decision making
O - Standards for controlling
8. Process :The process of planning are
1.) SETTING OBJECTIVES : Objectives may be set for the entire
organization and each department or unit within the organization.
2.) DEVELOPING PREMISES : Planning is concerned with the future
which is uncertain & every planner is using conjecture about what might
happen in future.
3.) IDENTIFYING ALTERNATIVE COURSES OF ACTION : Once
objectives are set, assumption are made. Then the next step would be to
act upon them.
9. 4.) EVALUATING ALTERNATIVE COURSES : The next step is to
weight the pros & cons of each alternative.
5.) SELECTING AN ALTERNATIVE : This is the real point of decision
making. The best plan has to be adopted and implemented.
6.) IMPLEMENT THE PLAN : This is concerned with the plan put into
action.
7.) FOLLOW-UP ACTION : Monitoring the plans are equally
important to ensure that objectives are achieved.
