There are many different forms of steel alloys used today. They are tailored during their processing
phases to meet the wide array of engineering applications. Steel alloy in its simplest form is a basic
mixture of Iron and Carbon and by varying the carbon content, the rate of cooling and the addition of
impurities like Chromium for high corrosion resistance, we are able to derive alloys of different
mechanical properties such as stainless steel and tool steels as these 3 factors affect the microstructure

The Scarlet Letter The Scarlet Letter is a well known novel written by Nathaniel Hawthorne. The
novel is composed and written in Salem and Concord, as well as Boston, Massachusetts in the late
1840 s. The narrator of the novel is in an omniscent state, meaning he knows more about the
characters than the characters know about themselves. Although the narrartor is omniscent, he also
makes sure to include his ideas and opinions on situations, making him also greatly subjective. Being
subjective, as well as omniscent, historical fiction along with a story displaying constant symbolism is
evident. The novel begins with a sort of preamble if you will describing how The Scarlet Letter came

She considers herself a Christian pluralist one that is open to encountering individuals of different
faith traditions and defining her own faith not by its borders, but by it roots. She points out that many

Larson s work Summer for the Gods exemplifies just how issues split the population. Larson uses the
Scopes Trial of 1925 to demonstrate to the rivalry between modernists and traditionalists in the early
20th century. Charles Dawson discovered fossilized human bones known as the Piltdown skull and
bridged a gap in history that seemed to confirm Darwin s theory of evolution. Darwin s account of
random variations, coupled with his survival of the fittest selection process, posed a critical problem
