At 4:50 every Tuesday my mom, aunt, and myself we meet up on the track to walk and burn a few
calories. We began to stretch my aunt makes a comment she starts to tell us how she sees
improvement in her weight and she mentions that she even gets better sleep. As we are walking my
mom said, I have more energy at work the next day when I work out during the evenings. After
walking the track for 30 minutes we walk the bleachers for 15 minutes I mentioned, I didn t feel like
doing the bleachers today, and they motivated me telling me it will all pay off in the end. So, I decided
to do the bleachers. After we complete the bleachers, we take a 5 minute water break as we take out
water we meet a lady name, Miss. Lisa, she asked if she can walk with us and of course we told her
yes. Miss. Lisa told us that she was weighing 220 pounds and her goal was to reach 140. We continued
to walk around the track discussing our weight issues. My aunt said, before all these months and
weeks of walking the track and eating healthy. I weighed 340 pounds and I now weigh 210, and my
set goal is 130. We all tell her we believe in you.

As a matter of fact, this assignment had come at a perfect time in my life. For quite some time, I had
been looking for an excuse to visit a new church. I did not feel like I was getting enough substance, or
the meat and potatoes and I was hungry for more. I had always thought about visiting other but I could
never get myself to walk through the doors. In the eyes of the philosopher Plato, I was sitting
complacently in the cave.
But that was when my mom suggested visiting a portable church, inside a local movie theater to be
specific. The church I had grown up in was large and extremely conservative. I had grown accustomed
to the rows of wooden pews that creaked every time a person shifted their position, and the beautiful
stain windows that sparkled when the light hit them at the right angle. The thought of stepping inside a
worldly building that smelled like buttered popcorn and had sticky floors to worship was not only an

I attended a Brazilian concert named Choro das 3 on April 11,2016 at Evergreen Presbyterian Church.
I was expecting this musical to sound very festive, fun and relaxing. The instrumental group consisted
of three sisters and their father. Elisa played the Brazilian mandolin, banjo, and the clarinet. She also
writes and performs on the piano. Lia holds the harmony while she played the seven string guitar.
Their father, Eduardo, gave us the rhythm with the frame drum. Corina doubled n the piccolo. The
music I was exposed to doing the performance was Debussy called Fascia lee played by the piano. I
was not able to get the rest of the composer s entire names that were mentioned in this performance
due to their accents. What I liked about this performance was that it was family oriented and they
seemed very close and support each other in every move they make. However, I did not find anything
I did not like about this performance each selection was very beautiful. They took there time to make

The Enlightenment During The Enlightenment
Before the Enlightenment, France s government was too strong because it had too much power.
During the Enlightenment, many philosophers helped improve France as a whole. One specific
example would be Montesquieu. Montesquieu wrote books on many topics such as law, climate, forms
of government, and religion. Also, he traveled and explored Europe to expand his knowledge and
studied in an extensive learning program. His philosophy and writing had a great effect on France and
the people living there at the time of the Enlightenment. In the 16th century of France, Montesquieu
was born to his military based father, named Jacques de Secondat, and his wealthy mother, named
Marie Françoise de Pensal. ¨She brought to her husband a great increase in wealth in the valuable
wine producing property of LaBrède¨ (Britannica Academics). The wealth of Montesquieu´s mother
gave him many privileges and opportunities that he wouldn t be able to have access to if he didn t
have the money. Also, the wealth of his family provided options for him to travel and expand his
knowledge all around Europe. In the early life of Montesquieu, there were many social, political, and
economic problems happening in France. The social problems included the unequal treatment of the
people currently staying in France at the time. The commoners of France were treated very poorly and
had absolutely no political say at all, and the nobles were unhappy because of their loss of power and
