When I came into Drug Court, I was lost and confused. I thought it was a joke and I thought I could
keep doing what I wanted to do. I thought the Judge and everyone on the team was just out to get me.
I didn t know who I was because I built my life on lies. I never aspired to anything great. Being in
Drug Court this long has shown me that the Judge and the Drug Court team really do care about each
and every one of us personally. I can see that the Drug Court team cares and always has time for me
no matter what, to give me so much encouragement. It wasn t until I was in Drug Court that my life
changed and I believe that I was headed for a prison sentence which that didn t matter to me at the
time. Drug Court showed that they believe in us, that we are okay, and they really do care about us to

When observing Presley, with her body size you noticed she is larger than the other children around
her. I was informed by one of the caregivers she is the oldest out of the children there. Not knowing
actual height and weight, comparing her to the other children, she was taller and looked fuller. Presley

Relationship Between Children And Mothers
The study gathered data from various mother daughter and mothers in law/daughters in law dyads (in
total, 33 daughters, 30 mothers, and 24 mothers in law) in three small western Massachusetts towns to
determine the sources of perceived harmony and conflict in the relationships within boundaries such
as the daughter s motherhood status and geographic proximity to her mother and mother in law. It was
conducted through questionnaires and interviews to garner results that were, respectively, quantitative
and qualitative. The conductors of this study found three areas in which the relationships changed with
the introduction of the third generation. Through interactive involvement, daughters are more likely to
contact their mothers than their mothers in law after they themselves become mothers, though they
would like to have help from both sides of the family and want their children to interact with both
sides equally. With interpersonal boundaries, daughters are more likely to re establish their own bond
with their mothers when asking for advice about child rearing, although mothers in law think of
themselves as in a more maternal role. Finally, relational strain occurs due to the shared attachment
toward the child by its mother and paternal grandmother, which may become a point of tension
between the two as familial ties with grandchildren tend to be fostered through the child s mother. The
