Indonesia Needs Sex Education in Order to Combat Unwanted...
A. Reproductive health services have and currently do struggle against obstacles including religious
beliefs, governmental policies, educational shortcomings, and governmental financial circumstances.
With the increase in reproductive health medicine and technology, an increase for the global standard
of living, and women s rights movements worldwide, global access to reproductive health services is
becoming more and more of a priority. Topics such as abortion and form of contraception are highly
debated. Indonesia is the world s most populous Muslim majority nation, with almost 86.1% of
Indonesians declared Muslim according to the 2000 census. 8.7% of the population is Christian, 3%
are Hindu, and 1.8% Buddhist or other ( Demographics ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This will help prevent infant fatalities, infant malnourishment, and maternal fatality during birth.
C. Indonesia s proposition to achieve these goals and to provide global access to reproductive health
services is quite simple. The committee should make a resolution which requires governments to
create and fund a board which is given the task to provide the citizens of the country (ranging from
youths to young adults to adults to the elderly) with adequate education in relation to sexual
intercourse and the consequences of intercourse and all other sex related issues. The board would also
provide various contraceptives for either free (funds permitting) or as discounted as possible. The
board would have to provide various contraceptives in order to meet the standards of the individual
receiving the contraception s religious beliefs. This would help significantly reduce sexual related
problems seen in today s world, such as abortion, STDs, and unwanted pregnancy.
Topic #2
A. It is easy for large countries with powerful governments to abuse their rights to eminent domain
when given the task of hosting a mega event such as the Olympic Games or FIFA World Cup. In the
past countries have abused this right and found ways around the current international laws that protect
the property rights of the people of the nation. The countries have not provided equal compensation

The Problem Of Being Homeless
There is not one person who is exactly alike. As people grow up and start to learn who they are they
start to make their own choices. Sometimes people choose to be homeless, and sometimes they can t
make ends meet to feed their family so they are forced to live on the streets. Not every homeless you
meet wants to be there but sometimes that s the only choice they have left. Trying to find work is not
always the possible. Sometimes people have the knowledge to go to school but they aren t able to
because they don t have the proper funds to do so. Many times even though people want to go to
school they can t because they have to go to work to try to make ends meet for themselves and their
families.
Some people are also homeless because they are addicted to drugs and/or alcohol. A person who is
addicted to something like that often can t get out of it because they are so addicted to the drug, it is
very hard to get clean. Many times they relapse and go back to drugs just as they were almost done
with treatment. Often people who are addicted to drugs had a life that didn t have anything to do with
homelessness. At one point in their life they had a home, a family, kids, and a job. However
sometimes things can get overwhelming and they decide to try drugs for the first time and that first
time is where everything turns to worst. Doing drugs is a very costly thing and can waste all your
money doing them. People try drugs for the first because they feel stressed and they think

What Is A Social Surrogacy Hypothesis
Positive effects[edit]
Social Surrogacy Hypothesis[edit]
Current research is discovering that individuals suffering from social isolation can employ television
to create what is termed a parasocial or faux relationship with characters from their favorite television
shows and movies as a way of deflecting feelings of loneliness and social deprivation.[1] Just as an
individual would spend time with a real person sharing opinions and thoughts, pseudo relationships
are formed with TV characters by becoming personally invested in their lives as if they were a close
friend [1] so that the individual can satiate the human desire to form meaningful relationships and
establish themselves in society. Jaye Derrick and Shira Gabriel of the University of Buffalo, and Kurt
Hugenberg of Miami University found that when an individual is not able to participate in interactions
with real people, they are less likely to indicate feelings of loneliness when watching their favorite TV
show.[2]
They refer to this finding as the Social Surrogacy Hypothesis.[1] Furthermore, when an event such as
a fight or argument disrupts a personal relationship, watching a favorite TV show was ... Show more

television can be a very powerful and effective learning tool for children if used wisely. The article

relationships with peers and family, and teach them to understand complex social aspects of
communication.[4] Dimitri Christakis cites studies in which those who watched Sesame Street and

Essay Laws Restricting the Paparazzi
The paparazzi a fusion of the Italian words papatacci, meaning gnat and razzi meaning the popping of
flashbulbs. It is also known as aggressive photography. The word paparazzo was coined by Federico
Fellini, the name he gave to a prying society cameraman in his 1959 film La Dolce Vita . Paparazzi
photographers are fueled by large sums of money offered by the tabloid press. They try to catch the
rich and famous in unflattering situations.
The new breed of journalism grew by leaps and bounds after the Watergate scandal first broke in
Washington, DC (Petersen s, 57). At first the paparazzi were an annoying group of photographers who
were persistent when trying to get the perfect shot of a celebrity so they could sell the image for large

The bill states that harassment would be considered persistently physically following or chasing a
victim, in circumstances where the victim has a reasonable expectation of privacy. The way that is
defined, victims can sue the police department if they were videotaped harassing a suspect like the
Rodney King videotaped beating.
After Bono s death, Rep. Elton Gallegly, a California Republican, offered H. R. 3224, a more carefully
defined version of Bono s proposal (Quill, 27). Bono s widow succeeded her husband to keep the
Bono name on H. R. 2448. There are many bills being made to stop the most aggressive of the
paparazzi but many take away from the first Amendment, freedom of speech.
Sen. Feinstein s bill, S.2103, differs from the House bills because it also provides for civil actions
against members of the press for use of high powered lenses, microphones, or helicopters used to
trespass for commercial purposes. This provision attempts to supplement existing laws of trespass,
creating a new legal cause of action for new forms of trespass made possible by modern technology.
Victims can recover compensatory, and punitive damages and may also seek injunctive and
declamatory relief (Quill, 21).
All three paparazzi bills H. R. 2448 and 3224 in the House, and S. 2103 in the Senate would, in their
own way, create new criminal and civil penalties for commercially motivated invasions of

effectiveness of direct instruction has been shown to be supported by substantial research, and is the
most widely used method of teaching. A teacher may differentiate the delivery of their lesson plan
where appropriate, as well as include a range of resources to support their students learning. Features

emphasis on pace and efficiency of instruction. This program is meant to accelerate student progress,
therefore lessons are designed to bring students to mastery as quick as possible. Frequent assessment.
Curriculum based assessments help pace students in ability groups and identify students who require
additional intervention. Peer delivery also offers teachers new ways to use the curriculum.
Inquiry based learning, firstly works by the teacher asking the class questions and also pose problems
as well as scenarios rather than presenting facts only. The student then will identify questions they
may want answered as to develop a well rounded knowledge. Some characteristics of this learning

School Curriculum And Programs For Their Secondary Education
Every year, bright and brilliant students enter or continue in the Folsom Cordova Unified School
District (FCUSD) for their secondary education. These are students who are capable of outshining
each other with their own unique and various ways. There are students who simply want to graduate.
Then, there are also students who are unsure and unconfident about their paths however aiming for
high educations. Lastly, there are students who are vigorously passionate and confident aiming for the
pinnacle. FCUSD has done their best to optimize school curriculum and programs that appeals to all
types of students. The current curriculum is able to provide students proper education followed by the
California Curriculum Instruction as well as help students who are lacking behind better known as
accelerated courses. The current curriculum is working, but is it able to keep up with the fast moving
stream of the reputable colleges? Can FCUSD further aid the vigorously passionate and confident
student aim for their academic career path by improving the curriculum? Yes, FCUSD is capable of
making a different academic acceleration program that encourages outstanding high school students to
learn academic subject outside conventional education at a faster rate by means of available resources
and/or online courses. The purpose of this program is to give the opportunity for students who finds
the conventional education too slow and would like to take higher courses like in community college

Cousin Kate by Christina Rossetti Essay
Cousin Kate by Christina Rossetti The poem cousin Kate by Christina Rossetti is about a young girl
who falls in love with a great lord (a rich and powerful man), but then he leaves her for her cousin.
Eventually she finds out that she is pregnant (cousin Kate) but had to deal with the consequences all
by herself. As the great lord does not want to be involved in a baby when not married (this was highly
disrespected at this time). It is set sometimes during the 1800 s and a young cottage maiden was living
a happy life with her friends, but she was taken away by a powerful man. I get the picture that she was

was bored. She feels used, and like a…. play thing basically...and just like a toy, which gets old. She
feels replaced by a newer model. Changed like a glove , again she s saying he used her. Just like a
glove, which eventually got dirty or out of fashion…he trades her in for something fresh, something
he still respects. She feels like a unclean thing as she had sex with him before they wed, in which
those days was disgraceful. Plus where she could have kept pure, like a virgin or a dove (symbol of
purity) she has now lost that, maybe she feels it s her fault. She sees herself as a disrespected member
of public. People in those days would of crossed the road if they had seen her coming, not looking or
talking to her in any way. The neighbors call you good and pure, Call me an outcast thing. I like this
line the most, as it shows you how much of an outcast she is, purely because of getting pregnant. In
the second half of the poem she talks about her cousin…it starts off as a jealous he bound you with his

Pilgrims Coming To America
Plymouth Reflection The history of the Pilgrims coming to the United States of America is something
that we have learned about since first grade. Each year throughout our education we get into more
depth about the events that took place and what actually happened. Both of the two passages explains
in their different ways about the Pilgrims journey and their life in the new world. Some of the
hardships that the Pilgrims faced while living in the new world was illness and trying to create a new
community on the unknown land. The new settlers stayed on the Mayflower for a few months but
finally moved onto land permanently. Once the first winter came along many became ill and some
even died. A disease swept through the colony. But not long after,

Cultural Response Of Chinese Population
Think about your community as a whole. What cultures are represented there? Choose a culture and
review the cultural response to male circumcision. Our community have a diverse culture with the
representations from different parts of the world. More than half of the population are Asians coming
from different countries such as India, China, Vietnam, and Japan. Of those most common is the
Chinese. Therefore, for this discussion, I m focusing on the views and cultural response of Chinese
population to male circumcision. Morris et al (2016) conducted a study to estimate the prevalence of
male circumcision in different countries as well as world wide. According to this study, the global
prevalence of circumcision is about 38.65%, and that of China, with the world s largest population is
around 14%. The percentage of circumcised males in the United States is 71.2%. It was found that
cultural and religious factors played a major role in male circumcision than the awareness of health
benefits. Most circumcisions in different countries, especially in Muslims, Jews, North Americans,
and tribal Africans, are performed for social, cultural and religious reasons. It is estimated that 68% of
the circumcised men are Muslims, making them the largest religious group to practice male
circumcision. In China, circumcision is not a part of their culture and they consider routine male
circumcision as a foreign topic as it conflicts with their cultural and social norms. Male circumcision

State: Date: Introduction NGN Co. is one of the leading and fastest growing online consulting
corporations in the biosphere specializing in the telecommunications and networking industry
(Plunkett, 2014). Based on the dynamism with which technology is advancing, the number of
expected and the often set goals are increasing which must be achieved in an attempt to keep the
company up and running. One of the major areas that need proper attention and updating is the
networking department. Maintaining the highest level of dynamism and security in the integrated
network is critical especially with the recent developments in technology (Lavan, et.al, 2007). Further,
the company has recently experienced growth in their customer base and size and as such increasing
the possible challenges most likely to face the network. As such, it would be necessary for the
company to develop a more integrative network architecture design to continue enjoying the positive
growth both currently and in the days to come. This paper seeks to present a more concrete network
architecture design that improves on the current network infrastructure of NGN Co. to integrate the
most recent wireless technologies for better and more reliable connectivity within the organization and

Marcus Tuly Research Paper
Marcus Tullius Cicero or commonly known as Cicero, was a major Roman philosopher in late 50 BC.
Cicero, or Tully as some refer to him as, was a lawyer, politician, orator, poet and so much more
during his era(Wikipedia). Tully was born January 3rd, 106 BC, in Arpinum of the Roman Republic.
Arpinum is currently Lazio of Italy, Tully and his younger brother Quintus was raised by their mother
Helvia and father, Marcus Tullius Cicero It is common to see sons named after their fathers at roman
time(TheFamousPeople). As far as geniuses go, Cicero is perhaps the greatest noble of the Roman
Republic in his time.
Out of Cicero s many achievements, was that of when he worked as a politician and Consul. At a

But Cicero believed that money had no value, the only thing that was important was proper pleasure,
reason and virtue. Power and approval meant nothing to Marcus and the stoic teachings he read. These
teachings were somewhat based off of Democritus s theory, that everything was made up of atoms and
no God existed(Clayton, Edward). Edward Clayton also mentions that Cicero made six paradoxes.
The beliefs discussed are as follows: moral worth is the only good; virtue is sufficient for happiness;
all sins and virtues are equal; every fool is insane; only the wise man is really free; only the wise man
is really rich (Clayton, Edward). These writings are his arguments on his views of Stoicism. Though
Cicero didn t believe in a Godly figure he does mention why religion is healthy. Religion was useful
because it helped to control human behavior and could be used as a tool for public policy; and in this
context divination could be useful too (as when an unwise political decision was prevented by the
announcement that the omens were unfavorable)(Clayton Edward). To a surprise, Cicero believed in
free will, but never on fate. When circumstances arrive, and his stoic beliefs, he acknowledges that
humans have a divine right to free will; even as stoic teachings clearly state that its followers must
overcome emotions. Assumptions were proven true as free will seems to be a second strength for
Roman civilization. Marcus took kindly to his growing ambition and support as time flew by. The
iconic dreams and knowledge was not to last for dear Cicero, Mark Antony despised him as Cicero s
proud outspokenness finally caught up to him. December 7th, 43 BC, Cicero was sentenced to suicide
by his own hand, his body parts of his head and hands were later displayed by Antony. By this time
Tully had already divorced two wives and had two children; Marcus Tullius Cicero Minor, and

When Atheism Is A Religion
Religion: the faith in and worship of a superhuman controlling force, particularly an individual God or
divine beings.
Atheism is normally characterized incorrectly as a belief system. Atheism is not a doubt in god or a
refusal of god; it is an absence of belief in god.
Atheism is not a faith nor is it a religion. While there are a few religions that are agnostic, that does
not imply that atheism is a religion. Two usually utilized counters to the nonsense that atheism is a
religion are: 1) If atheism is a religion, then bald is a hair colour, and 2) If atheism is a religion, then
wellbeing is a sickness.
The main repeating theme that ties all atheism together is an absence of faith in god and extraordinary
creatures. This is because of

How The USA Lost The Vietnam War Essay
Robert S. McNamara, appointed by John F. Kennedy to the position of U.S. Secretary of Defense in
1961, said about the Vietnam War, amp;#8220;It is important to recognize it amp;#8217;s a South
Vietnamese war. It will be won or lost depending upon what they do. We can advise and help, but they
are responsible for the final results, and it remains to be seen how they will continue to conduct that
war, ; (McNamara 72). Despite these guidelines for assisting in the war, the U.S. would end up doing
much more than just advising. The Vietnam War was supposed to be a demonstration of how willing
the U.S. was to battle communism, but ended up a personal vendetta against the North Vietnamese as

was eager to get into battle (Chant 9). After the French conceded defeat and were forced to withdraw
by the Geneva Accords, the U.S. decided to escalate its involvement, believing the South Vietnamese
wanted assistance in driving out communism. The U.S. knew of South Vietnam amp;#8217;s weak
military condition, and became more and more involved despite an uncooperative government.
Suggestions the U.S. made were ignored, and the army avoided combat (Chant 38). Without complete
involvement and a true desire to win, the guerrilla warfare of the Vietcong was too effective to face in
a jungle setting, especially when most Vietcong soldiers were recruited in the South and had much
support from the local civilians. Despite all of these problems, the U.S. remained in Vietnam, without
any clear goals or objectives, or even a clear strategy for defeating a guerrilla operation.
For almost a century, Vietnam was the colonial property of France, however, it had a taste of
independence during World War II when France was unable to maintain control . During World War
II, the Viet Minh established itself as the organizational body for the resistance of French control, and
went on to assist the U.S. in combat with the Japanese. On September 2, 1945, following the Japanese

Villanelle
Death is inevitable; there is no going around it. Do not go gentle into that good night by Dylan
Thomas is a short villanelle poem written in 1951. The author was born in Swansea, Wales on October
27, 1914. Raised by his father, David John Thomas, which was an English master at the local grammar
school, and became a big influence for Dylan Thomas. In the author s poem the speaker addresses his
father that if he must die then he should die with a fight. Nevertheless, the poem has a universal
meaning in which humanity should not fear the unknown, but they should confront it.
At the beginning of the poem, the speaker argues to not go peaceful by using aggressive choice of
words. He uses very calm words, followed by explosive ones that portray ... Show more content on

In the past, Poets usually employed the villanelle for light or bucolic subjects, a kind of peacefully
rural poem or pastoral . In the poem, the villanelle is used in an uncommon form for the following
reason: the poem does not preach calm, as might be expected, but rage, rage against death, that event
often equated with Nature as an ultimate physical force (Jhan). The ending of a villanelle is the most
important because it is the central message of the poem. The speaker is persuading the readers the
importance to not die without a word. With the last stanza And you, my father, there on the sad height
(Thomas 16). The readers can conclude that the speaker is a son standing next to the deathbed of his
father. Although deathbeds are low to the ground, the admiration of his father is a sad height because
he looked up to him. Coincidently, the author was experiencing the same situation, making this poem
very personal. One can only imagine these were his last thoughts as his father was dying. The readers
can assume this poem was written in villanelle form to present it to his father. In the last stanza the
speaker is imploring to his father to not go peacefully, but to be part of these men that refuse to die. In
these last lines it finalizes the poem into a villanelle Do not go gentle into that good night

Indoor Vs. Outdoor Exercise
Conventional wisdom was supported in 2003 by research from the Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention which found evidence to support the long held general belief that exercisers profit from
many physical and psychological benefits of physical activity (Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention, 2003; Plante, Cage, Clements, Stover, 2006). Plante, Cage, Clements, and Stover (2006)
sought to further the idea behind Plante, Aldridge, Bogden, and Hanelin s (2003) study (which built
off of the CDC s 2003 research) concerning virtual reality s role in the psychological benefits of
exercise. Plante, Aldridge, Bogden, and Hanelin s (2003) study included virtual reality scenes of
walking through a college campus that were viewed by participants. This team of researchers paired
virtual reality with exercise, and found that virtual reality paired with exercise can improve the
psychological effects of exercise in a positive way (2006). Plante, Cage, Clements, and Stover (2006)
looked to replicate similar results as well as investigate indoor vs. outdoor exercise benefits.
Plante, Cage, Clements, and Stover declared two hypotheses for their study. First, they hypothesized
that similar results to the Plante, Aldrige, Bogden, and Hanelin (2003) study would be found;
specifically that virtual reality with exercise and also exercise alone would lead to more energy and
less tiredness than virtual reality without exercise (2006). Second, Plante, Cage, Clements, and Stover

A Family Of Transcription Factors
Introduction
1. The Grainyhead (Grh) gene family
Grainyhead (Grh) genes are conserved in metazoans. They encode a family of transcription factors
with a unique, unusually large, DNA binding and dimerization domain, and an isoleucine rich
activation domain(Attardi and Tjian, 1993; Gustavsson et al., 2008; Moussian and Uv, 2005; Ting et
al., 2003b; Uv et al., 1994; Venkatesan et al., 2003; Wilanowski et al., 2002). Grh factors were first
identified in Drosophila (Bray et al., 1989; Bray and Kafatos, 1991; Dynlacht et al., 1989; Johnson et
al., 1989) and since then, they were also found in animals as diverse as nematodes and humans. Grh
proteins have not yet been detected in unicellular organisms. Phylogenetic analysis subdivides this
gene family into two main classes, the Grh like sub family and the CP2 sub family, depending whether
the family members are more related to the Drosophila grh, or to another Drosophila gene, CP2 (Ting
et al., 2003b; Venkatesan et al., 2003; Wilanowski et al., 2002). The fly and worm genomes each
contain a single grh gene. Mammals, both mice and humans, have evolved three Grh homologues: Grh
like 1 (Grhl 1, or Mammalian Grainyhead (MGR)/TFCP2L2), Grhl 2 (Brother of MGR
(BOM)/TFCP2L3) and Grhl 3 (Sister of MGR (SOM)/ TFCP2L4). This group of genes encodes
proteins with highly homologous DNA binding and dimerization domains. They all show restricted
expression pattern during embryogenesis and play important roles in organogenesis and epidermal

Investigate the Osmosis in Potato Rods in Various Concentrations of Salt Solutions
Introduction:
Osmosis is the movement of water molecules across a partially permeable membrane from a region of
high water potential to a region of low water potential. It can be affected by several different variables
including concentration of salt solutions. When a plant cell is put in pure water it will become turgid
and it will not burst due to the presence of a cell wall and a large permanent vacuole and when it is put
in a concentrated solution it will be plasmolysed, on the other hand when an animal cell is put in pure
water it will burst due to the absence of the cell wall which is only present in the plant cell and if is

Dependant variables: The changes in length, changes in weight and the degree of firmness.
Fixed variables: The room Temperature: The warmer the solution, the quicker the osmosis will be.
This is because the water molecules will be moving more quickly. If you heat something like the
potato rod up too much the cells will be destroyed so a good heating temperature must be used.
The Surface Area: This will speed up the time of osmosis because there will be more space on the
potato for osmosis to take place.

Four Degrees
4 Degrees That Can Help Shape the U.S. for the Better There has never been better time to contribute
to American politics. The economic downturn, diversity difficulties and international unrest will never
go away. Therefore, the following four degree will help the student help shape the U.S. for the better.
Bachelors of Science in Political Science Political scientists work in a variety of organizations, such as
private think tanks, lobby groups and non profit organizations. Approximately half are employed by
the federal government. They do everything from research relations to collect data to develop and test
new theories. They also predict certain political and economic trends. There are four specializations
for political scientists: political theory, international relations, comparative politics and American

From a business perspective, an MPA is similar to an MBA. However, unlike the MBA, the MPA
offers a wide range of program specialization in public sector fields. For example, this includes
transportation, health care, criminal justice and urban planning and management. Master of Arts in
Public Policy A Master of Arts in Public Policy (MPP) is one of the best degrees to help students
understand public policies and the American political system. An MPP will help the student gain in
depth insight into both the State and Federal systems of government. Part of this involves learning
how the U.S. political process and framework has developed and changed over the years. More
importantly, students will learn about current events and hot topics that they will deal with in their
future career. An MPP curriculum will also cover ethics, economics, leadership, policy analysis and

The Character Of The Patient In The Screwtape Letters
The patient in The Screwtape Letters is an interesting character. He is a struggle for Wormwood who
is trying to keep him close to the Devil. I see him as a writer who has been put into the army to do
defence work. I see him as a writer who was a professor so his knowledge is very extensive in many
things in life.
The patient could have many jobs but I see him as a writer. There are many times that screwtape talks
about how smart he is. Writers usually know a lot in what they write about. In the first chapter
Screwtape says Your man has been accustomed, ever since he was a boy, to have a dozen incompatible
philosophies dancing about together inside his head. He doesn t think of doctrines as primarily true or
false , but as academic or practical , outworn or contemporary , conventional or ruthless . Jargon, not
argument, is your best ally in keeping him from the Church. (chapter 1 first paragraph) This shows
that the patient does know his stuff and thinks through everything. I see him as a writer for science
and philosophy books. These people could be professors and the patient could have been a professor
before since he knows so much about life. The patient s job during the war was a defence worker (ch.
28, p154). This defence work could be helping build barricades in roads and planning where to
strategically place the barriers. Since I saw him as a writer, I see it fitting that he is a defence worker
because a smaller man would not be able to fight in the

Advantages Of Command Economic System
A catastrophic event has occurred and the world as we know is ending. Leaders, friends, family, gone.
In order for the human race to survive, we must rebuild civilization. However in the event of
rebuilding civilization, we must decide which economic system is most viable in this time. The
economic system I believe to be most viable is the command system. A command economy is
completely ruled by the government or whatever of it is alive. In this system I will be the leader. There
is no need to worry because I will not be corrupt and I know a lot about these things because I had an
amazing eighth grade social studies teacher. Anyways, I believe we need to start off with a very strong
structure in order for us not to fall apart. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Yes, this may seem like a harsh thing to say, but if too much choice is left to the people sooner or later
prices will start to go up and people of lower classes will not be able to afford food. So, what I plan to
do in the command economy is distribute everyone equal amounts of foods and goods. With the world
all messed up and half dead, getting these things should not cost very much. As I ve said before,
friends, families gone. This means traditional would fail. How so? Well, traditional is passed down
from one to another. If the people who knew everything about the tradition of their family are gone,
then who will teach these jobs or pass down their businesses to their family? Also, in the passage,
Economic Systems, it states, Individuals may be expected to combine their efforts and share equally in
the proceeds of their labor. We all know how people are, they are greedy which means this could start
fights and that is one thing I do not want in my

Every once and awhile, we will see those movies about a good kid and the typical wrong place, wrong
time which takes them on a journey that they never thought they would be caught up in. The 2015

storyline follows a high school geek, Malcolm, in his efforts of trying to get out of his in the bottom
town of Inglewood by gaining acceptance into Harvard. Though it s not as easy as it seems as
Malcolm (Shameik Moore) and his friends, Diggy (Kiersey Clemons) and Jib (Tony Revolori), come

These shot often occur whenever Malcolm encounters a very pretty girl, we switch into Malcolm s
point of view as he looks and watches whatever that girl is doing. For example, we see his point of
view as he watches Nakia (Zoë Kravitz) erase something in her notebook with her pencil to which he
then helps her solve the problem she was working on. Also, later on, we see through Malcolm s eyes,
Lily (Chanel Iman) swimming topless in the pool as she too stares back at Malcolm. Whenever
Malcolm faces possible danger, we also then switch to his viewpoint. Like when Malcolm and his
friends look around for the guy in the red El Camino that wants the drugs, we use Malcolm s line of
sight and see his eyes search the curb for the car. Also, we jump into Malcolm s viewpoint when he is
in the school s bathroom hiding from the two patrol officers and the drug dog to escape getting caught
with the dope that is in his backpack and return to the SAT test that he is supposed to be taking.
Another time when we are shifted into Malcolm s perspective is when is attempting to figure
something out. Like when Malcolm and his friends get rejected by the bouncer at Dom s party, we see
from Malcolm s eyes a solution of using the band equipment that needs to be carried in to get them
inside the building for the party. Yet another example of Malcolm putting two and

The Impact Of Western Imperialism In East Asia
Jun Woo Kang
Mr. Tirkey
IB MYP World History
April 29th, 2016
The western imperialism in East Asia begins with European interactions into what was at the moment
called East Indies. This began during the 15th century in search of trade routes leading to the Age of
Exploration of the European empires which were in the flourishing cultural and intellectual
developments with Renaissance. By the early 16th century, European merchants greatly expanded
Western European influence and established numerous trade posts with the countries in Asia,
benefiting the European countries economically. This trend originated from the Portuguese breaking
the monopoly of the Arabs and Italians of trade between Asia and Europe by the discovery of sea route
between the two continents. As a direct result, Western empires introduced their different ideologies to
the East such as their Christian beliefs, and their new weaponries. Before the Industrial Revolution in
the end of 19th century, demand for oriental goods such as spices, silk and tea remained the driving
force behind European imperialism, and the European dominance in East Asia endured with already
established trading posts between the two continents. However, industrialization dramatically ... Show

Analysis Of Clara Barton s Life
Introduction Clara Barton had many accomplishments throughout her life in all her endeavors. Her
story begins at a young age and continues into her career as a valuable individual saving lives as a
nurse. The accumulation of events and contributing factors that Barton experienced from her
childhood into her adult years shaped her into the nurse remembered in history and helped mold the
face of nursing for the future.
Background
Clara Barton is most notably remembered for her accomplishments, with the Red Cross and nursing,
however, her story begins years earlier when she was born December 25th, 1821 (Evans 2003). Barton
was born to Stephen and Sarah Barton and grew up in New Oxford, Massachusetts. Many of the

Barton not only became a teacher during a period where female teachers were rare, but she also
opened the first free public school in New Jersey. Though the school was not immediately successful,
it eventually took root and began to grow. It increased so much so that another school had to be built.
In 1854, Barton resigned from teaching and became one of the first women to be employed by the
federal government as a clerk at U.S Patent Office (Jones 2012).
In 1861 at the Baltimore riot, soldiers from the 6th Massachusetts infantry were attacked. Many were
wounded and killed. After hearing about the devastation, Barton left her work and went to tend to
those wounded (Jones 2012). Barton, who led by example, was able to build up a volunteer network
that lasted the entirety of the war. In March of 1865, Barton started the Office of Correspondence with
friends of the missing men in the United States Army. Barton, with the help of volunteers, identified
over 22,000 missing men. The searches for missing men led her to assist in establishing a national
cemetery, where they properly marked the graves of nearly 13,000 men (Gorlick 2002). Barton s great
accomplishment with the war efforts gave her the opportunities to speak throughout the Northwest and
Midwest. After two years of traveling and speaking, Barton retreated to Switzerland per doctors
orders. While in Switzerland, Barton associated herself with the

The Evolution Of Management Theory

Management theory constantly evolves when there are new ideas or when there is and intention of
attempts of transforming the theory. Hence this theory can also be called as the condensed theory To
know the history of the management theory is the fundamental task (Sarshar, 2002).
The evolution of management began after the industrial revolution had occurred in Europe and
America, which was in the end of the 19th century. During the evolution of the management theory,
there were many major changes happening, like economic, cultural and technical. The start of the
evolution of the management theory was when there was an introduction to the steam power. That was

Scientific management theory
The techniques of the scientific management theory were defined by Frederick W. Taylor. F W Taylor
was a manufacturing manager, but he eventually became a consultant. He introduced four principles
Principle 1: Study the way workers perform their tasks, gather all the informal jobs, knowledge that
worker possess, and experiment with ways of improving how tasks are performed.
Principle 2: Codify the new methods of performing tasks into written rules and standard operating
procedures.
Principle 3: Carefully select workers who possess skills and abilities that match the needs of the task
and train them to perform according to the established rules and procedures.
Principle 4: Establish a fair or acceptable level of performance for a tasks, and then develop a pay
system that rewards performance about the acceptable level (Jones and George, 2003).
In the 1900 s these principles were known nationally and were applied in many organisations. In some
organisations the managers choose to follow only some of the principles, which led to some problems.
After applying the principles the efficiency of the organisation increased, but instead of sharing the
profit with the workers as specified by Taylor, the managers expected the workers to work for more
hours for that same wages. After a while the workers realised that the increase in the efficiency in the

The Expansion Of The World Wide Web
Introduction:
The expansion of the World Wide Web and increased access to devices which allows internet access
has resulted in the creation in a new form of retail transactions; Online shopping. (Shim, Quereshi and
Siegel 2000) define Web Shopping as the process consumers go through to purchase products over the
internet. (Alba et al 1997) defines it from a consumer view point as, web shopping allows web
shoppers to search and compare various products or services over the internet that are located in
different parts of the world. Online shopping can be accessed from a variety of different devices now
not only via computers which are stood in one place but consumers can access online shopping now
from smart phone devices. Due to the advance in new technologies web shopping is still growing not
only with the UK, also in other developed European countries; Sales in the UK, Germany, France,
Sweden, The Netherlands, Italy, Poland and Spain are expected to grow from £132.05 bn [€156.28 bn]

Ergogenic Aids in Sports Essay
Ergogenic Aids in Sports
A large problem in sports today is the use of ergogenic aids. An ergogenic aid is any substance or
device that increases or enhances energy use, production, or recovery giving the athlete an advantage
in competition. Not all ergogenic aids are illegal; many such as dietary supplements, vitamin
supplements, or protein supplements are widely used and accepted, however, many are illegal and are
banned by many athletic committees(Ahrendt,1). I will be discussing these illegal aids and the affect
they have on the athlete and the athletic community. Some of the more commonly used illegal aids
include blood doping, caffeine, corticosteroids, diuretics, and human growth hormones (HGH).
Blood doping is taking blood ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The effectiveness of blood doping is unsure, researches don t know if it truly works. Some reports
state that the added RBC and hemoglobin increase the viscosity of the blood, which in turn actually
decreases the VO2 max(Goldman,50). The increase in viscosity can lead to an overload of work in the
liver and kidney, which could lead to future problems in the liver and kidney (Shipe,77). Another
precaution is if the blood that is injected does not come from the person it is being injected into there
is a possibility of getting a disease such as AIDS. Blood doping is nearly impossible to discover in
tests because the athlete is usually injecting their own blood into their system. The increased
hemoglobin and RBC in the body can be accredited to high altitude workouts (working at high
altitudes for extended amounts of time can increase hemoglobin and RBC s). Even though it is near
impossible to test for the Olympic Committee still bans its use in hope to find a test.
Caffeine is a chemical found in the leaves, seeds, and fruit of over 60 species of plant. It is found in
coffee, tea, some soft drinks, and chocolate. It can also be taken as a tablet at high doses in products
such as No Doz or Vivarin (Donahue,33). It is banned as an ergogenic aid in large doses.
Caffeine is believed to increase endurance and alertness. An

fractures most commonly occur in the hip, wrist or spine (2014). The issue of osteoporosis is very
important due to the fact that it happens to a lot of people all over the world. Although the disorder of
the bone occurs in older people, I believe that everyone should learn about osteoporosis before it

Bone density then is maintained for about 10 years. After age 35, both men and women will normally

mass determines how strong or weak one s skeletal system is, but it is influenced by the genetic

  • 2. Indonesia Needs Sex Education in Order to Combat Unwanted... A. Reproductive health services have and currently do struggle against obstacles including religious beliefs, governmental policies, educational shortcomings, and governmental financial circumstances. With the increase in reproductive health medicine and technology, an increase for the global standard of living, and women s rights movements worldwide, global access to reproductive health services is becoming more and more of a priority. Topics such as abortion and form of contraception are highly debated. Indonesia is the world s most populous Muslim majority nation, with almost 86.1% of Indonesians declared Muslim according to the 2000 census. 8.7% of the population is Christian, 3% are Hindu, and 1.8% Buddhist or other ( Demographics ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This will help prevent infant fatalities, infant malnourishment, and maternal fatality during birth. C. Indonesia s proposition to achieve these goals and to provide global access to reproductive health services is quite simple. The committee should make a resolution which requires governments to create and fund a board which is given the task to provide the citizens of the country (ranging from youths to young adults to adults to the elderly) with adequate education in relation to sexual intercourse and the consequences of intercourse and all other sex related issues. The board would also provide various contraceptives for either free (funds permitting) or as discounted as possible. The board would have to provide various contraceptives in order to meet the standards of the individual receiving the contraception s religious beliefs. This would help significantly reduce sexual related problems seen in today s world, such as abortion, STDs, and unwanted pregnancy. Topic #2 A. It is easy for large countries with powerful governments to abuse their rights to eminent domain when given the task of hosting a mega event such as the Olympic Games or FIFA World Cup. In the past countries have abused this right and found ways around the current international laws that protect the property rights of the people of the nation. The countries have not provided equal compensation ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. The Problem Of Being Homeless There is not one person who is exactly alike. As people grow up and start to learn who they are they start to make their own choices. Sometimes people choose to be homeless, and sometimes they can t make ends meet to feed their family so they are forced to live on the streets. Not every homeless you meet wants to be there but sometimes that s the only choice they have left. Trying to find work is not always the possible. Sometimes people have the knowledge to go to school but they aren t able to because they don t have the proper funds to do so. Many times even though people want to go to school they can t because they have to go to work to try to make ends meet for themselves and their families. Some people are also homeless because they are addicted to drugs and/or alcohol. A person who is addicted to something like that often can t get out of it because they are so addicted to the drug, it is very hard to get clean. Many times they relapse and go back to drugs just as they were almost done with treatment. Often people who are addicted to drugs had a life that didn t have anything to do with homelessness. At one point in their life they had a home, a family, kids, and a job. However sometimes things can get overwhelming and they decide to try drugs for the first time and that first time is where everything turns to worst. What Is A Social Surrogacy Hypothesis Positive effects[edit] Social Surrogacy Hypothesis[edit] Current research is discovering that individuals suffering from social isolation can employ television to create what is termed a parasocial or faux relationship with characters from their favorite television shows and movies as a way of deflecting feelings of loneliness and social deprivation.[1] Just as an individual would spend time with a real person sharing opinions and thoughts, pseudo relationships are formed with TV characters by becoming personally invested in their lives as if they were a close friend [1] so that the individual can satiate the human desire to form meaningful relationships and establish themselves in society. Jaye Derrick and Shira Gabriel of the University of Buffalo, and Kurt Hugenberg of Miami University found that when an individual is not able to participate in interactions with real people, they are less likely to indicate feelings of loneliness when watching their favorite TV show.[2] They refer to this finding as the Social Surrogacy Hypothesis.[1] Furthermore, when an event such as a fight or argument disrupts a personal relationship, watching a favorite TV show was ... • 5. Essay Laws Restricting the Paparazzi The paparazzi a fusion of the Italian words papatacci, meaning gnat and razzi meaning the popping of flashbulbs. It is also known as aggressive photography. The word paparazzo was coined by Federico Fellini, the name he gave to a prying society cameraman in his 1959 film La Dolce Vita . Paparazzi photographers are fueled by large sums of money offered by the tabloid press. They try to catch the rich and famous in unflattering situations. The new breed of journalism grew by leaps and bounds after the Watergate scandal first broke in Washington, DC (Petersen s, 57). The bill states that harassment would be considered persistently physically following or chasing a victim, in circumstances where the victim has a reasonable expectation of privacy. The way that is defined, victims can sue the police department if they were videotaped harassing a suspect like the Rodney King videotaped beating. After Bono s death, Rep. Elton Gallegly, a California Republican, offered H. R. 3224, a more carefully defined version of Bono s proposal (Quill, 27). Bono s widow succeeded her husband to keep the Bono name on H. R. 2448. There are many bills being made to stop the most aggressive of the paparazzi but many take away from the first Amendment, freedom of speech. Sen. Feinstein s bill, S.2103, differs from the House bills because it also provides for civil actions against members of the press for use of high powered lenses, microphones, or helicopters used to trespass for commercial purposes. This provision attempts to supplement existing laws of trespass, creating a new legal cause of action for new forms of trespass made possible by modern technology. Victims can recover compensatory, and punitive damages and may also seek injunctive and declamatory relief (Quill, 21). All three paparazzi bills H. R. 2448 and 3224 in the House, and S. 2103 in the Senate would, in their own way, create new criminal and civil penalties for commercially motivated invasions of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Cousin Kate by Christina Rossetti Essay Cousin Kate by Christina Rossetti The poem cousin Kate by Christina Rossetti is about a young girl who falls in love with a great lord (a rich and powerful man), but then he leaves her for her cousin. As the great lord does not want to be involved in a baby when not married (this was highly disrespected at this time). It is set sometimes during the 1800 s and a young cottage maiden was living a happy life with her friends, but she was taken away by a powerful man. People in those days would of crossed the road if they had seen her coming, not looking or talking to her in any way. The neighbors call you good and pure, Call me an outcast thing. Each year throughout our education we get into more depth about the events that took place and what actually happened. Some of the hardships that the Pilgrims faced while living in the new world was illness and trying to create a new community on the unknown land. Our community have a diverse culture with the representations from different parts of the world. More than half of the population are Asians coming from different countries such as India, China, Vietnam, and Japan. Of those most common is the Chinese. Therefore, for this discussion, I m focusing on the views and cultural response of Chinese population to male circumcision. Morris et al (2016) conducted a study to estimate the prevalence of male circumcision in different countries as well as world wide. According to this study, the global prevalence of circumcision is about 38.65%, and that of China, with the world s largest population is around 14%. The percentage of circumcised males in the United States is 71.2%. It was found that cultural and religious factors played a major role in male circumcision than the awareness of health benefits. Most circumcisions in different countries, especially in Muslims, Jews, North Americans, and tribal Africans, are performed for social, cultural and religious reasons. It is estimated that 68% of the circumcised men are Muslims, making them the largest religious group to practice male circumcision. In China, circumcision is not a part of their culture and they consider routine male circumcision as a foreign topic as it conflicts with their cultural and social norms. Male circumcision is ... Design And Management Of Networks Design and Management of Networks By Name: Course code+ Name: Professor: Institution: City and State: Date: Introduction NGN Co. is one of the leading and fastest growing online consulting corporations in the biosphere specializing in the telecommunications and networking industry (Plunkett, 2014). Based on the dynamism with which technology is advancing, the number of expected and the often set goals are increasing which must be achieved in an attempt to keep the company up and running. One of the major areas that need proper attention and updating is the networking department. Maintaining the highest level of dynamism and security in the integrated network is critical especially with the recent developments in technology (Lavan, et.al, 2007). Further, the company has recently experienced growth in their customer base and size and as such increasing the possible challenges most likely to face the network. As such, it would be necessary for the company to develop a more integrative network architecture design to continue enjoying the positive growth both currently and in the days to come. This paper seeks to present a more concrete network architecture design that improves on the current network infrastructure of NGN Co. to integrate the most recent wireless technologies for better and more reliable connectivity within the organization and to the outside world (Walters et al., 2007). But Cicero believed that money had no value, the only thing that was important was proper pleasure, reason and virtue. Power and approval meant nothing to Marcus and the stoic teachings he read. These teachings were somewhat based off of Democritus s theory, that everything was made up of atoms and no God existed(Clayton, Edward). Edward Clayton also mentions that Cicero made six paradoxes. The beliefs discussed are as follows: moral worth is the only good; virtue is sufficient for happiness; all sins and virtues are equal; every fool is insane; only the wise man is really free; only the wise man is really rich (Clayton, Edward). These writings are his arguments on his views of Stoicism. Though Cicero didn t believe in a Godly figure he does mention why religion is healthy. Religion was useful because it helped to control human behavior and could be used as a tool for public policy; and in this context divination could be useful too (as when an unwise political decision was prevented by the announcement that the omens were unfavorable)(Clayton Edward). To a surprise, Cicero believed in free will, but never on fate. When circumstances arrive, and his stoic beliefs, he acknowledges that humans have a divine right to free will; even as stoic teachings clearly state that its followers must overcome emotions. Assumptions were proven true as free will seems to be a second strength for Roman civilization. Marcus took kindly to his growing ambition and support as time flew by. The iconic dreams and knowledge was not to last for dear Cicero, Mark Antony despised him as Cicero s proud outspokenness finally caught up to him. December 7th, 43 BC, Cicero was sentenced to suicide by his own hand, his body parts of his head and hands were later displayed by Antony. While there are a few religions that are agnostic, that does not imply that atheism is a religion. Two usually utilized counters to the nonsense that atheism is a religion are: 1) If atheism is a religion, then bald is a hair colour, and 2) If atheism is a religion, then wellbeing is a sickness. After the French conceded defeat and were forced to withdraw by the Geneva Accords, the U.S. decided to escalate its involvement, believing the South Vietnamese wanted assistance in driving out communism. Suggestions the U.S. made were ignored, and the army avoided combat (Chant 38). Without complete involvement and a true desire to win, the guerrilla warfare of the Vietcong was too effective to face in a jungle setting, especially when most Vietcong soldiers were recruited in the South and had much support from the local civilians. Despite all of these problems, the U.S. remained in Vietnam, without any clear goals or objectives, or even a clear strategy for defeating a guerrilla operation. In the poem, the villanelle is used in an uncommon form for the following reason: the poem does not preach calm, as might be expected, but rage, rage against death, that event often equated with Nature as an ultimate physical force (Jhan). The ending of a villanelle is the most important because it is the central message of the poem. The speaker is persuading the readers the importance to not die without a word. With the last stanza And you, my father, there on the sad height (Thomas 16). The readers can conclude that the speaker is a son standing next to the deathbed of his father. Coincidently, the author was experiencing the same situation, making this poem very personal. One can only imagine these were his last thoughts as his father was dying. Plante, Cage, Clements, and Stover (2006) sought to further the idea behind Plante, Aldridge, Bogden, and Hanelin s (2003) study (which built off of the CDC s 2003 research) concerning virtual reality s role in the psychological benefits of exercise. Plante, Aldridge, Bogden, and Hanelin s (2003) study included virtual reality scenes of walking through a college campus that were viewed by participants. This team of researchers paired virtual reality with exercise, and found that virtual reality paired with exercise can improve the psychological effects of exercise in a positive way (2006). Plante, Cage, Clements, and Stover (2006) looked to replicate similar results as well as investigate indoor vs. outdoor exercise benefits. Plante, Cage, Clements, and Stover declared two hypotheses for their study. First, they hypothesized that similar results to the Plante, Aldrige, Bogden, and Hanelin (2003) study would be found; specifically that virtual reality with exercise and also exercise alone would lead to more energy and less tiredness than virtual reality without exercise (2006). • 19. A Family Of Transcription Factors Introduction 1. The Grainyhead (Grh) gene family Grainyhead (Grh) genes are conserved in metazoans. They encode a family of transcription factors with a unique, unusually large, DNA binding and dimerization domain, and an isoleucine rich activation domain(Attardi and Tjian, 1993; Gustavsson et al., 2008; Moussian and Uv, 2005; Ting et al., 2003b; Uv et al., 1994; Venkatesan et al., 2003; Wilanowski et al., 2002). Grh factors were first identified in Drosophila (Bray et al., 1989; Bray and Kafatos, 1991; Dynlacht et al., 1989; Johnson et al., 1989) and since then, they were also found in animals as diverse as nematodes and humans. Grh proteins have not yet been detected in unicellular organisms. Phylogenetic analysis subdivides this gene family into two main classes, the Grh like sub family and the CP2 sub family, depending whether the family members are more related to the Drosophila grh, or to another Drosophila gene, CP2 (Ting et al., 2003b; Venkatesan et al., 2003; Wilanowski et al., 2002). The fly and worm genomes each contain a single grh gene. Mammals, both mice and humans, have evolved three Grh homologues: Grh like 1 (Grhl 1, or Mammalian Grainyhead (MGR)/TFCP2L2), Grhl 2 (Brother of MGR (BOM)/TFCP2L3) and Grhl 3 (Sister of MGR (SOM)/ TFCP2L4). The Impact Of Western Imperialism In East Asia Jun Woo Kang Mr. Tirkey IB MYP World History April 29th, 2016 The western imperialism in East Asia begins with European interactions into what was at the moment called East Indies. By the early 16th century, European merchants greatly expanded Western European influence and established numerous trade posts with the countries in Asia, benefiting the European countries economically. This trend originated from the Portuguese breaking the monopoly of the Arabs and Italians of trade between Asia and Europe by the discovery of sea route between the two continents. Barton not only became a teacher during a period where female teachers were rare, but she also opened the first free public school in New Jersey. Though the school was not immediately successful, it eventually took root and began to grow. It increased so much so that another school had to be built. In 1854, Barton resigned from teaching and became one of the first women to be employed by the federal government as a clerk at U.S Patent Office (Jones 2012). In 1861 at the Baltimore riot, soldiers from the 6th Massachusetts infantry were attacked. Many were wounded and killed. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Scientific management theory The techniques of the scientific management theory were defined by Frederick W. Taylor. F W Taylor was a manufacturing manager, but he eventually became a consultant. He introduced four principles Principle 1: Study the way workers perform their tasks, gather all the informal jobs, knowledge that worker possess, and experiment with ways of improving how tasks are performed. Principle 2: Codify the new methods of performing tasks into written rules and standard operating procedures. Principle 3: Carefully select workers who possess skills and abilities that match the needs of the task and train them to perform according to the established rules and procedures. Principle 4: Establish a fair or acceptable level of performance for a tasks, and then develop a pay system that rewards performance about the acceptable level (Jones and George, 2003). In the 1900 s these principles were known nationally and were applied in many organisations. In some organisations the managers choose to follow only some of the principles, which led to some problems. After applying the principles the efficiency of the organisation increased, but instead of sharing the profit with the workers as specified by Taylor, the managers expected the workers to work for more hours for that same wages. After a while the workers realised that the increase in the efficiency in the firm ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Not all ergogenic aids are illegal; many such as dietary supplements, vitamin supplements, or protein supplements are widely used and accepted, however, many are illegal and are banned by many athletic committees(Ahrendt,1). Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The effectiveness of blood doping is unsure, researches don t know if it truly works. Some reports state that the added RBC and hemoglobin increase the viscosity of the blood, which in turn actually decreases the VO2 max(Goldman,50). The increase in viscosity can lead to an overload of work in the liver and kidney, which could lead to future problems in the liver and kidney (Shipe,77). Another precaution is if the blood that is injected does not come from the person it is being injected into there is a possibility of getting a disease such as AIDS. Blood doping is nearly impossible to discover in tests because the athlete is usually injecting their own blood into their system. The increased hemoglobin and RBC in the body can be accredited to high altitude workouts (working at high altitudes for extended amounts of time can increase hemoglobin and RBC s). Even though it is near impossible to test for the Olympic Committee still bans its use in hope to find a test.
